This market is in a small plaza, right next to a coffee bean and tea leaf. Honestly, only times I've ever been here is for the poke. The poke, in my opinion, is one of the best on the island. I really like the Korean style and I always order it whenever I stop by here. The workers have always been quick with getting my poke and when completing my transaction. It's a smaller grocery store but from what I've seen, there's still a lot of variety in what they carry. And it's always been clean whenever I've gone.

Trying all the different foods here. It's very tasty. I like their pork and peas , their spicy tako and dinuguan. I've just tried their chow fun and it is flavorful. Cant wait to try their prime rib that they have on Sundays. They serve it by the pound and I think it's about $25ish/lb.

Such a nice small and friendly place. Love, love the poke bow! My favorite was the spicy ahi poke with rice and they put this sauce on it, makes it simply mouth watering! The parking is very limited.

The poke at Malama market is one of our favorites on the island. We've been here a few times only for the poke. The staff are friendly and the service is always quick whenever we've stopped in. We love getting their tako and spicy ahi with extra sauce drizzled on the top and sides of the container. Their poke is made fresh daily and just about melts in your mouth because it's so soft. We've brought it to a few family parties whenever we're in Hawaii and our family always asks where we get it from because it's so good. What I also love is that they pack so much in the containers. We usually order by the pound but when my friend and I came in this past Friday to pick up poke, we decided on getting a poke bowl as well for lunch. We were surprised how heavy our bowls felt once got them. We also decided to order some fried chicken from their hot food selection. We were amazed how crispy and delicious it was. Definitely recommend! We will continue to keep coming back again and again.

Convenience at its finest. They are Always well stocked. Workers are always helpful and friendly. Decent size section of produce. Meat and poultry a little small but good enough for last minute pickups. They have a pretty good selection of Beer and wine. I find what I'm looking for most of the time. Poke is one of the best. They run out fast of the good stuff, especially peak hours, around 2pm-5pm and weekends.

First thing we noticed was that the prices here were way more affordable than Maui. We went to costco beforehand because we didn't want to pay inflated prices for things like water and liquor but honestly it was pretty comparable. Of course we had to get the poke here. They have so many options and flavors that you really can't go wrong. We asked the guy behind the counter what he recommended and he had just made a fresh batch of their spicy poke which was delicious. We also got the californian poke, but that was just alright in comparison to the spicy poke he made. I think the trick here is to just ask what's the freshest and go with that. While the poke gets a lot of love at Foodland, the low key superstar is their fried chicken. Warm, cold, room temperature, it's hella good. We tried their salt and vinegar wings and their garlic fried chicken, and it was some of the best bites on the entire trip. Definitely don't skip out on this on your next trip to Foodland!

I like the convenience of knowing that they open at 6am-ish... Most times it opens up around 6:04 to 6:05 depending upon who's in charge of that area. The store is typical of Wal Mart's layout. Rows and aisles of clothing, food, household goods, etc. Most employees are nice and some you can tell are just trying to make it until break time, which is okay because we all have "days". My biggest issue is having to navigate through aisles that are riddled with pallets and merch needing to be shelved. Sometimes they'll be multiple employees in one aisle with their merch carts crammed against each other try to stock shelves. They're focused and most often won't move for you to get your shopping cart through, let alone get what you need off of the shelf. There are (2) restrooms, one is located in the back near the fabric area and one across the cash registers next to the eyeglass shop. The bathrooms are always clean and stocked. Again, it's a toss up between speaking with a nice, cordial employee and an employee who's just going through it. My recommendation is to have a plan if you're short on time. Especially for people who start work at 6:30am and the store is slow to open at 6am. Have a plan and be ready to do an audible in the event that the area you need items from are congested with merch carts and pallets.
