Came here after work (4:30 am) looking for a new computer because mine froze up. I hate coming this time of the morning because that's when they're restocking and cleaning the floors. Some sections were closed. Got to the electronics area and found a computer that I wanted, now the fun part trying to find someone to help me! Saw an old lady nearby but I figured she'd be no help so I walked around then stopped someone and asked for some help. She paged on the intercom then guess who showed up, that old lady! Oops my bad. Took her a while to figure out which key it was to unlock the cage for the computers. Finally got it opened and I got the last one! I'm no computer geek so the selection they have is good enough for me. If I were to guess it's basic to mid level stuff. If you have questions to ask I'd suggest you come during regular hours. read more

Oops not a five star:( . I love Walmart but I haven't been to this Kunia location for a very long time . The prices are still great. Good to have a Pharmacy, Vision Center, money payment center and the Golden Arches yup the ole Mc Dz! This rating goes as follows: "0" to the girl in the Vision center, the last time I went there she was very moody and I just thought it was one of those days. Then and again today I went in asked for glasses. Obviously I can't see well so I couldn't read her name tag or I'd address this with her name , fair completion mostly Filipino ethnicity. She is "very unwelcoming, no smile" people like that are there just to get a paycheck. "0" for the cash out process, there are self checkout all except maybe one if you ate purchasing cigarettes. I understand employment cutback however, if a customer has to ring up and bag their purchases, they should get some sort of discount. "0" for the McDonald's manager when I asked if they had the two for five special. She starred me down and abruptly said "No" and turned around, smh. On the way home I decided to stop by, and when I asked a CSM where their Customer Service was, she immediately gave me attitude and pointed somewhere and said it was closed, then went to the register (hoping she'd help us there) she asked what I was returning and I showed her my unworn items I wanted to return since they didn't fit. She then said I can't help you and continued whatever she was doing. Wow.. How bout a "Sorry we can't help you?" And why is customer service close, you're 24 hours aren't you? Never going here ever. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have grew up in this wal mart and I have no idea what happened over the years. Multiple times I have gone to the customer service section to either return something or to ask for change that I had just taken out as cash back from a self-paid register & multiple times have people walked over there and looked at me and just walked away. If there is one thing that pisses me off the most with customer service is when you see a customer looking at you, acknowledge them. Tell them someone will be right with you- don't just stare and then walk away. I am BEYOND disappointed. This store used to be part of many childhood memories and I'm sad that I have to say that I can't even get decent customer service. This Walmart was hella disappointing especially when it was only a phone call! This is for you Anne or however you spell your rachet ass name!! I called to ask the most easiest task!! Which was asking for product availability. While calling I was at the pearl city Walmart which they didn't have in stock but I checked on the app saying it was available. Anyways talked to Anne and her tone off the bat was already sounding rude. She asked me what department and I had mention "what department is where the calculators or school supply at" she then asked "what are you looking for?" I guess I didn't hear and replied "I'm sorry what" then she repeated the question with and irritant attitude. "What are you looking for?" That's pissed me off and I stated "are you %^%# giving me attitude right now. Then she replies "yes because I'm asking you what you are looking for and you said what! Maybe if you clean your damn ugly ears you would of heard me saying calculators?! Like damn you deaf? So I told her "if you don't like your job you should quit." She then hanged up the phone and that PISSED ME OFF l. Called her back and I asked her what her god damn name was and she said "ANNE." Then I told her you should fix your attitude B*%*!!! And I hung up! I don't need these irritant uneducated workers to be giving me attitude. You don't like your job quit!! Don't use the Photo Center unless you have something extremely simplistic to print. I brought in a panoramic photo to print on their poster printer, the lady told me panoramic photos couldn't be printed because they don't fit on a 36x24 size. She couldn't understand the concept of fitting a photo to sheet size because she hardly spoke English. I gave the place two stars because I have used it for general printing (wallet size photos for Passport photo). read more

Came in yesterday to grab a few household products and I was surprised when I saw that They have these gadgets to use called " Scan and Go" ! It must have been ages for me sinced My last visit . You scan your items and it will tell you exactly how much your shopping cart which It helped me with my budget!!! And not only that !,, checking out made it easier and faster because the items are already scanned and all you have to do is scan your scanner at their designated area and your shopping cart will pull out and ready to pay!!! This is NOT a review for the overall Walmart store. This review is for the PHOTO CENTER AT THE KUNIA WALMART. First off I'm probably not the first to say, but using those photo kiosks can be a bit hard & you feel like you are there forever!! But nope, not at the kunia photo center. This is the best one to go to, especially when one of the employees ERNESTO is there!! Ernesto is usually always there when I go to do my picture projects & he is ALWAYS helpful! It feels like I ask him a million questions & he has patience for all of them! He can be helping five different customers at once & no matter what, he doesn't show any frustration at all. He is always with a smile on his face & he is very personable with his customers. He makes you feel like its a creation you're making, not a hassle. He even tells us to take our time before checking out. Ernesto is a prime example of amazing customer service! He seems like he loves what he does & he loves talking to his customers. Just a small rant on the customer service. Product selection has always been excellent. Asked an associate if they had a product that I was looking for. Associate continued to entertain another associate instead of helping me out. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and just let him finish his thing. Showed me what they had from behind the counter. Okay, didn't have it. So I googled exactly what I needed and showed him. He continued to show what was behind the counter and he was insistent that the store didn't have it. I figured this guy was lazy and entitled so I continued to look around the department . Ended up finding the product I needed. Showed him and walked out. Wanted to try another associate's knowledge and asked what the retun policy was. She just said that she didn't know and that I should just come and return it because they'll take anything back. Apparently you don't have to know anything to work at this store... But the prices are low so I guess you have to give a little. 1 extra star because they showed a smile in spite of the lack of service read more

This review is not for the entire store but for a gentleman who helped me with my heavy purchase. I'm so glad and thankful that Anthony Kali was on shift late Monday night when I purchased a couple of sleeper loveseats. Anthony went above and beyond in helping me load up my bulky items in the vehicle. He was very pleasant, polite and very eager to help. I wanted to reward him with his help but he refused. Be prepared to be solicited as you enter and exit this place. They always have someone selling something for some kind of fundraiser. One time, a guy selling chocolates asked me if I wanted to buy chocolates for his son's birthday, and quickly corrected himself with: "I mean baseball team". Whatever buddy. They've recently renovated and now have a decent grocery department with a few refrigerated items. The parking lot is always crazy and you may even be solicited while walking to and from your car. Basically, another Walmart that always finds a way to empty my wallet. read more

Worst customer service ever experienced at any store. Let's just say that I was one of three people in line to check out, and usually this would mean that you're out within the next 5 minutes or so... Or maybe even 10 if someone has trouble. Somehow... Even though there were 2 to 4 more workers standing around yawning watching the single cashier work.... It took over half an hour to finally check out. I've never seen employees care so little about the place they work at. The only thing this Wal Mart has going is its location, but it's going downhill just like the way kmart has fallen. I ended up just going on Amazon.com to order my universal HP laptop charger because they are always out of stock! Plus when I kept calling the store to find out if they had any delivered, they took forever to answer and the employees that were answering the phone (when they would finally pick up in electronics) sounded like they hated their lives and sounded annoyed that they had to go and check.. moral of the story, amazon is way cheaper and way less stressful and the employees need to get it together! read more

We used to go to this location a lot because the pharmacy carried my dog's medicine cheaper than a lot of places. Christmas time is also great because we had noticed a few times that the bikes and electronics had been cheaper than Mililani and Pearl City. But that doesn't happened every Christmas. The one thing I can't stand about this location is that it's always a mess. Like the workers will start stocking shelves and forget about it, leaving pallets in the middle of the aisle. Or they'll continue working off pallets in the aisles with little regard for shoppers around them. I've know two people who got injured here because of their mess. Otherwise, it's a Walmart, you can get your basics here and it's affordable. read more

The Kunia Walmart is usually my go to Walmart. They almost have everything you could need and they are opened 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I went there today to make a baby shower basket and I noticed that they do not sell stuffed animals. Their fabric selections have also decreased tremendously since they renovated the store. I can't understand why the fabric selections have decreased but their prices have gone up. This used to be the store that I would buy ALL of my fabric from but not anymore. I havent gone to this one in a while since Kapolei now has one but I still consider this location one of my faves. I love that its 24hrs. Kapolei one closes at 1am i think which is super lame. Walmart is the place for late night/early morning adventures!!! Haha This location is pretty clean, i like the signs they have so we can find things more easily. Theres 2 locations for parking so love love love the ample parking. Theres an escalator inside the Walmart to get to and from the upstairs parking level. Theres a Mcdonalds of course inside this one. I came in here to buy shampoo and conditioner and a car charger. Found all 3 easily and prices were good. No complaints for this locations. Thanks Kunia Walmart!! read more

I sincerely advise that the management team perform a full re-train on the staff here - they are the most miserable and unfriendly cashiers I've ever encountered anywhere. The parking lot is always littered with dirty diapers and other trash. I have shopped WalMart stores nationwide since I was a kid and my loyalty has been unwavering - I'll skip this location from now on though and head west to Kapolei or actually any location but this one. read more

The lady with the short hair in customer service was very rude. I was inquiring an item and was getting confused with walmart.com. Instead of say to hold on while she gets her supervisor, she stares rudely and was repeatingly saying "I don't know I would have to call my suoervisor" so I waited and when she seen I wasn't going to leave then she got on the radio and called for her supervisor. I am a FREQUENT WalMart Customer. Its located right up the street so I to there near daily! The word CLEARANCE tends to draw me like a Moth to Light. And, in the purses Dept. there was a lovely bag, several of them, on the CLEARANCE RACK! I was so tickled I picked one up instantly and threw it in the cart. When I went to pay for it, the item rang-up NOT the CLEARANCE AMOUNT! So, I went over to show the 'associate' where I found the bag. While showing the associate the CLEARANCE rack with at least 4 to 5 identical bags another employee who obviously works in that dept says, "Dat was a mistake! When nevah have da room anyplace else!" Excuse Me? Let me wrap my brain around THIS ONE. You were unable to find ANY OTHER LOCATION to place this 4 or 5 bags, so in your infinite wisdom you decided to hang them on the CLEARANCE RACK! WOW! Regardless, I want the price! Sorry, you made a foolish (and I mean FOOLISH ERROR) but be that as it may, you should honor the price that you displayed the product for. PERIOD! This is NOT complicated. Well, YEAH - IT IS! Because while all this Buzzing is going on, the entire bags/wallets/other crap - 3 employees immediately run to the CLEARANCE rack, remove the pretty purses, and miraculously find a new location to store them. When I finally spoke to the Manager and made MY POSITION KNOWN she simply REFUSED to honor the clearance price. She even offered me a new EXCUSE as to how the purses arrived on the Clearance rack. "Maybe ANADURE customer put it dare!".. Yes, maybe. Possibly? Mayhap! Maybe she initially liked the purse, picked it one up, walked a short distance and for whatever her reasons she changed her mind. And, she happen to be standing next to the Clearance rack when she took the purse and just placed it on the there. Hey Man! We ALL have done things like that! I'm not above grabbing an item, later changing my mind and then just dumping it in a totally different department. Shameless, I know. But, it happens. However, went back to the original location grabbed a second bag, and once again as she neared the Clearance rack she changed her mind and placed it next to the first bag. This indecisive wahine did this at least four to five times! Even though the excuse was ridiculous to begin with I still examined it and came to the original conclusion of, NAH! So, WalMart find some INTEGRITY! Sell me the Pretty Purse for the Clearance Price because that's the POLITE THING to do. It was your error and we aren't talking $100 of dollars loss. To gain a little bit of self-respect & dignity BACK it would have cost them less than $11.00. Alas, that was too high a price for Walmart to pay for their mistake. So, future WalMart Shoppers take caution. Even if several of the exact same items are stacked together with a huge yellow sign indicating the price.. Tread lightly. That helped me here was so friendly and caring she helped me chose contacts that were clear and colored in a way that I would save money. I am not a huge Walmart fan but this is my least favorite here. First off, when I walked in there was a musty or moldy smell. The nice little lady greeting everyone at the door was not enough to make you not notice the smell that smack you in the face as you walked in. As far as cleanliness, it is your average walmart. The size of the store is small in comparison to others. It is layed out very awkward and choppy. Nothing here is at all where it is found in other walmarts. The selection of merchandise doesn't seem to be as big as it is in the mililani store. If this store is close to your work or home then it will serve a purpose but I wouldn't go out of my way to make a trip there. read more

As of lately, service has been horrendous. I've been leaving walmart upset every. fricken. time! Today I went to buy a new light bulb, but previously purchased the wrong size so when I went back the following day to make an exchange for the correct bulb, super rude customer service lady (that usually is very nice) denied my exchange (without receipt) because she stated another employee saw me in the isle looking at bulbs. pretty much accused me of STEALING. I told her that I was there yesterday and I purchased with CASH and lost the receipt, she told me the new return policy is that we need a receipt or no refund. I've spoke to a manager and he told me that the statement she told me was FALSE, Walmart no longer gives gift card/cash for refunds. I told them I was trying to do an EXCHANGE but she turned me away.... accusing me of stealing when I actually went out of my way to grab the correct bulb, before walking to customer service AND purchase a $60 Play Station game. stealing my ass. lmao the bitch turned me away and I still purchased the light I needed + the expensive game.
