The style of a resort but not the price. Great price point for clothing and costume jewelry. Nice quality and trendy yet classic styles. Great customer service. You can actually get a whole outfit here for under $100, including shoes and jewelry.

My mother in law found something she really liked at the location in Waikiki but they didn't have her size. The employee there told us that they have her size at this Ko'Olina location, and we were like great! That's even closer to our place. The store was spacious and they had chairs for guys to wait for their women while shopping. They even had toys for kids to play. The employees are very nice and helpful. She found what she was looking for. And I didn't buy anything but they have really cute jewelries for reasonable prices.

Whenever the happy half wants to go to Ko'olina, I always find myself at another Mahina location. I get excited because even though there are plenty of Mahina stores, every one of them look different. I never see the same outfit on the mannequins longer than a week. Styles are always on a constant change and there are always items on the sale rack at a great price. Mahina Ko'olina is tucked at the same shopping center as Egg's N Things and Just Taco's Mexican Grill on the left side of Olani St. The store is clean and organized with friendly sales associates. Fitting rooms are roomie for any mothers shopping with a stroller. Mahina is locally owned and originally from Maui. The couple first opened their store in Paia in 2006 and voted "best boutique" for 7 years in a row and with locations in Kauai, Oahu, and Big Island. Living in Hawai'i where the sun is always shining all year round, we need those soft flowy dresses, pretty tops and mind blowing accessories. One of my favorite things is finding uniquely made statements in a boutique. The store if filled with eclectic pastels, with accessories all around hanging on light brown wooden displays. Mahina have their fair selections of expensive items and some reasonable selections. I love shopping at their 20%-50% discount racks. In those sections I've found dresses and tops in my size and style for a steal. At the Ko'olina location, their sale rack isn't always at the front as some of the other locations might be. Sometimes I've found the rack tucked away at the back near the fitting rooms. They are treated with lots of respect and organized by color, style and size. I've returned several times for accessories ranging from $5 and up. Know that the accessories are not placed at one spot. They are all over the store, on the display, shadow boxes and cups. Their strappy sandals are nicely chosen to pair with the perfect ensemble, as well as purses and clutches at a great quality. There's always something new to find when you turn around. So look carefully. I'm a huge fan of following their social media and tend to find outfits and accessories I like. Each Mahina location have their own Instagram. They're very active in responding in regards to any questions a customer may have. I've found a handful of items I wanted them to reserve and try on. Should they not have the piece avail, they will call all stores on the island for a style and color check and do an instore delivery. I love the attention to customer service. Parking at the Ko'olina location is free and easy to find depending on the time of day. But most of the time, we've been lucky. I've never been a Fighting Eel girl, but then you get one item as a gift, you decide to check out…read morethe store, and all of a sudden you need a lunch bag from them. I got a FE diaperbag as a gift but had NO IDEA how to use it - it's an older version with the bassinet attachment. It was from an aunty, NWOT, and I don't mind it didn't have tags, or that it's an older version. I've always been the kind of girlie to thrift shop because I'm not a fan of what the clothing industry has done to our planet. This is why we went to FE in the first place: for someone to help us figure out how to use this thing. The sales girl was SO NICE! Everyone was, but definitely shoutout to the one who helped us. All the girls in there were not working for FE when this bag came out so they knew nothing about it except the girl who helped us. Since it was slow, it was nice getting to talk to all of them. Then, I see it: a lunch bag. Since I'm pumping and always on the go, I was in the market for a lunch to store my breast pump parts and milk. I loved that the bag had a wide mouth opening and lots of convenient pockets. One reason I'm also not a FE person is the prints are too much for me. Put it this way, the only print I would kind of consider wearing is the simple fish print in black, no other colors! But the green print on the lunchbag was actually really nice. And then next thing you know, there's also a baby section as well for my son! I walked into the store not expecting to buy anything, and now I'm following FE and excited because their baby section is about to have a new drop. Having a baby changes you, I'll still thrift for my clothes, but I wouldn't mind getting my son the newest clothes from a locally owned, woman ran business. Also, I LOVE being able to text the store and reserve items, no driving all the way to find out it's not there! And the quality of the clothes is definitely there. Decided to buy a baby onesie for our family photos.

They offer lots of choices and are very helpful in narrowing them down based on your preferences. Always best to come in store instead of shopping online because there are so many styles to choose from that you really need to step into a piece to really look at the fit. Always a beautiful selection and array of prints both older and new arrival styles. In several occasions I like a certain print and end up walking out with a different design all together or maybe event a different style. These pieces are great and very comfortable. You can dress them up or down for different occasions. But ladies, Treat yourself ! You deserve it. Shout out to Mari who was very sweet and helped me find what I was looking for.

Sally has quite the impressive selection of specific products ranging for items from head to toes the fun yet quality items of hair colors has really gotten my curiosity to go outside of my usual box as the staff here are really knowledgeable. Shop is very neat and organized which makes shopping super easy and fun and as I went in look for a nail file was blown to see the variety choice I have since I'm always in need of reshaping my nails a buffer was something I was looking for, located in Kapolei Commons making parking very easy and that's something beautiful! Thank you!

Me and a friend just visited earlier today and had the most weird uncomfortable experience. We…read morewalked in with my friend knowing what she wanted but we decided to walk around the store. As we were making our way everything seemed fine got asked about two times by I believe the manager lady she was a lil shorter lady. We said we were good both times didn't bother us. Then as we became the only two customers in the SMALL three aisle store the cashier up front (Heavy set person of color, I believe she had glasses and a side pony) decided to swiffer mop right in the aisle that my friend was looking at product in. She then gave a wicked face as I started walking up the aisle in the spot that she just mopped . I said sorry n stayed friendly but just thought it was weird how she decided to mop right where we were.so as me and my friend are chatting about the hair colors n things she stops literally right beside my friend n just stands there listening to us before she interrupts to give some advice. We thank her n tell her we had knew what she was talking about. Idk if that made her mad but she then just proceeds to stand there swiffer in hand about shoulder to shoulder from my friend as we keep chatting n it just feels beyond awkward. Like literally just stands there right next to us still just listening to our conversation and frankly invading our personal space. I've worked in retail for almost 5 years and ik the protocol for watching customers and profiling them and we were friendly never rude we said we didn't need help and usually we go on and do other things but watch from afar but this was way to creepy and really infuriating. As soon as my friend made a comment about wanting to put everything back and leave she finally moves behind us up to the front of the aisle and then just STANDS there swiffer STILL in hand( she didn't even mop the other aisles mind you!!!) n she just waits...staring at us straight up! Like if I wasn't trying to be a good person and a returning customer I would have went off and sounded very rude but I was there with my friend for her to grab her items. We finally just rush to grab anything n she leads us to the register. We check out and leave with the most gross taste in our mouths trying to just understand why she was like that but woah I had to come on here and let whoever reads this to be aware. And maybe speak up for us next time! I really hope she reads this and gets either put in the back with stock or signed up with better quality service cuz sis you need help. Mahalo
