We stopped by on our way back from a day at Yokohama Bay and weren't disappointed. We got spicy and shoyu bowls and nachos, and the fish was so fresh. We had over estimated our ability to walk the heavy kayak down to the beach and the owner was very kind to assist us by loading it in his vehicle, while at the beach he introduced us to the life guard because he was concerned as there were strong winds/currents that day, and he also came to check in on us and helped drive the kayak back. We were super grateful for the effort he put in because it truly was exceptional. The boogie boards and snorkel gear were good quality and easy to carry if you're going to a local beach. If you do want to rent the kayaks, just make sure you have the transportation figured out. When we returned we also had some shaved ice which was some of the best we had during this trip. To start, my partner and I went in because he's looking for a new fish board and he wants very specific dimensions. We were so excited because we found the perfect board! It was a HIC Steve Morgan 74 fish BUT there were a few pressure dents on the deck AND the bottom of the board. These dents are bigger than a quarter and all surfers know they will only get bigger. To preface, we saw that the board was already marked down $50 but we thought it was a normal markdown/sale (a lot of boards were on sale). So after seeing these dents, we asked for help from an associate (older white guy in a collared shirt). When he came over, we asked about the pressure dents. His response was incredibly rude and passive aggressive, he said something along the lines of "Well you see these dents it's already marked off $50 because of this." Just super rude. Now keep in mind, we were going to spend $900 on a "brand new board" with pressure dents. We were overall just curious about the price of the board and if anything else could be done. My partner and I have also worked in a surf shop, surf often, and have had a hand in shaping boards so we're somewhat knowledgeable in this area. If there wasn't a further markdown, we would have spent the full amount on the board but that man was so rude that we put the board back, said thank you, and walked out.

Prior to our vacation, I signed up all three children for surf lessons ahead of time. The process…read morewas uncomplicated, my confirmation arrived via email within minutes, and all was set. The day arrived for the lesson and the kids were super eager. After meeting their instructors, we took a short walk to the beach. Everything was explained to us. We were all on the same page as far as making sure the kids understood what they're going to do, and my apprehension was put at ease. The two older kids (ages 9 and 8) were totally having the time of their lives. They rode tandem with the instructors and were surfing as if they'd been doing this forever by the end of their session. The little one (6 years old) had a little bit of a mishap. As he paddled out to ride a wave with his instructor, he wiped out - waves all over him, surfboard in the air, exactly what I had been anguishing over. My son and his instructor both recovered. The instructor tried getting him back on the board, but he wasn't having it anymore. The instructor brought him back to us to shore. We tried coaxing him back to surf, but fear already set in. Even my daughter's instructor tried getting him on the board with them, but he refused. Nevertheless, the experience was really cool. The instructors were relaxed and patient. They gave us great photo opportunities. The best part was the two older children were inspired to go out and surf some more.

We live here and often have visitors, we thought we found our spot to bring friends but this time we were wrong. 1. When I called, they said they were short staffed so they would only be open 11-3, totally get it. It's a small business and would love to support them but thought that was weird to preface a customer with " yeah you can rent but we are barley open today" 2. When we got there Roger seemed accommodating, we rented for 2 hours, but he asked us to return closer to 3 because he had to bring guests back to their hotel. We didn't need or want the extra hour but again obliged to help a small business we had young children with us and knew they wouldn't hold interest, plus it was pretty windy for the little dudes. 3. When my husband went to bring the items back Roger was 40 minutes late! So we waited an extra hour to turn in the rentals and then an additional 40 minutes waiting on Roger. 4. Then i realized my card was charged an extra $54.00. Attempted to communicate with the business via their 2 phone numbers and email... took a week after countless voicemails etc. 5. When i finally got a call back they said they undercharged us and fixed their mistake. Fine, understood. However, a notification would have been nice since i signed for the amount upon rental agreement. I just found this whole thing so unprofessional and disorganized. I was pretty upset we had to intention of doing business here again and sending others.
