Shopping at "Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa" in Kapolei, Oahu, Hawaii... If you want Disney merchandise with a Hawaiian theme, this is the store to go to - especially if you want holiday-themed items! My cousin's son in Northern California asked me to get some Disney Aulani merchandise for him to give to his wife for Christmas. He obviously knows that Happy Wife = Happy Life! At first, I thought, "Ho... Kapolei is far!" I told him that I'll ask my friend who works there to get the merchandise for him. He sent me a screenshot of a Spirit Jersey that he had seen on Instagram on DisneyHawaiiMoms page. He asked for a medium size. I sent the screenshot to my friend who said she would look... A couple of days later, my cousin followed up with me. I asked my friend about the shirt. It turned out that she was so busy at work that she didn't get a chance to go to the store. Shucks! I realized (with a feeling of dread) that I needed to take a drive - way out there... especially since he wanted pictures of other shirts and ornaments. Uhg... I checked GPS... it would be a 35-minute drive (one-way) to the west side of the island... boo! I told my cousin that I'd probably have to pay for parking... yuk! At least this was on a Saturday without workday traffic! Arrrggg! When GPS told me that I had arrived, I didn't believe it because I didn't see a large sign for "Aulani". I drove past two Ko'Olina lagoon entrances until I gave in, turned around, and entered the driveway for the valet. I asked if I could park for a few minutes to get a shirt for my cousin. Unfortunately, the valet area was full. I was directed to self-parking where the first half hour is free... yay! I took the first space that I saw... nearest to the "Lobby" sign and walked quickly to the resort entrance. Gosh... There were A LOT of tourists! I headed to an employee and asked where the store was. It's to the left of the main entrance. Ok... it's nearby! ...and there it was!!! The Spirit Jersey was front and center! Yippee! However, there were no Medium nor Large sizes! Darn! I asked if there were any in the back... Nope! The shipment will come on Monday night, so I should return on Wednesday. (Sigh) Since I was there, I took lots of photos of other shirts and items that he might want. He decided on a $45 t-shirt. As I was cashing out, I tried to get my parking validated. The cashier said that if I make a purchase of $50 or more, I would get an hour of free parking... whoa! It's a good thing that my cousin wanted one of the ornaments, too! Whew! Service was very helpful and friendly - they all called me "Auntie"! How did they know??? LOL!!! I told everyone that's I'd see them again on Wednesday! Haha! read more

Quick snack or shopping for seasonal items. This convenience shop is located on the main floor. Of course, they sell all types of Disney items and those Micky ears. But did you know they sell board games, pins, and plushies? How about light travel toiletries or microwaveable food, bread, soda, ice cream, and hard liquor? If you don't want to drink out the bottle, buy a Goofy mug or a Minnie cup. You can pick up a suitcase, an aloha shirts and matching dresses here too. And if you have a photo pass card, this is where it's redeemable. Overall four stars. If you want a Hawaii, Disney mesh you come here. They store I'd drive to whenever I'm in need for a Disney fix! It literally felt like I stepped into Disney Emporium...well on an extreme smaller level. We no longer have a Disney Store and not many items found anywhere is something I didn't realized I missed so dearly. Before you enter a fun and vibrant Halloween display with Mickey Pumpkin, Halloween light necklace, totes, and plushies I instantly felt like a kid and this is the smiles that I remember when I first went to Disney. A little bit of everything, snacks, shirts and accessories including Wishables was here which is a fun exclusive limited edition mystery plush four different and as I felt up the bag I keep feeling feet so I just chose one and woohoo I got Chip super cute wearing a shirt and Kukui nut lei it certainly is cute! As I requested this time off to spend time with my besties family celebrating her life I did pick up a few muchies for them as this is so therapeutical more than anyone will know and self care is very important and this is exactly what I needed and know that my bestie agree as well. I was jealous that it seems like almost everyone I know is either in Disneyland or Tokyo Disney this spring break so I decided to do a shopping trip at Kalepa's store at Aulani! I called Aulani prior to going and learned you can get a 2.5 hour parking validation if you spend $50 or more in one transaction. I even confirmed this with the employee at the store that validated my ticket. However after staying only about one hour, I was charged $17 for parking! The parking attendant told me I exceeded 30 min, but I told her I was told I would get 2.5 hours. I was let through without paying. I then called Aulani again after leaving to ask what the policy is for next time abs was told it is 2.5 hours free parking if you spend $50 or more and get it validated. I don't know what happened since it seemed like my parking wasn't validated. Now to the good part, Kalepa's has everything you want Disney! Disney pins, Mickey ears, shirts, mugs, stuffed animals, tea, cookies, bags, wallets, kitchen items, hats, everything! I especially like to see the pins that they have. Can't wait to go again but am nervous about the parking situation, it's $37 parking a day if you stay too long and seems like the parking doesn't validate at all. read more

Kalepa's Store is Aulani's main gift shop where one can find all sorts of Duffy merchandise and do some pin trading. They also sell general items needed by guests during their stay such as snacks, sunblock, etc. I visited the store a few times during my stay and noticed the absolute worst time was after the luau when everyone flooded the store. This is the place to visit if guests want to purchase the surfer Mickey lamp in the guest rooms. The lamp can be shipped home directly from the supplier for a fee. Mine arrived without notice or tracking email about a month after I did the paperwork and payment at Kalepa's Store. read more

PIN TRADING AT KALEPA'S!! There is a pin board that they bring out once per day. I suggest checking the Aulani app or asking one of the workers at Kalepa's what time they will be bring out the board. Also ask where the board will be set up and consider going early for the best selection because a line does form. Trades are limited to two per person. [PINS] there is a nice selection of pins here especially considering we no longer have a Disney Store here in Hawaii. They also sometimes have seasonal LR (limited release) and LE (limited edition) pins available so be on the look out for that. Also if you are a DVC member you have to ask one of the workers at the register to see them. [SERVICE] here is still outstanding. They are very helpful especially if I don't see something like the Aulani Wishable (no I'm not a reseller) the workers don't seem to mind checking in the back if they have more. read more

1-16-2021 We visited Aulani to say happy birthday to our little sweetie who was enjoying a staycation here for 3 nites. We passed Kalepa's Store as soon as we arrived and asked if they validated parking. Yes, $50 for purchasing items gave you 2-1/2 hours free parking. We proceeded on. After spending time with the celebratory family we returned to Kalepa's before leaving the property. Hubs was gifted a Disney gift card before the pandemic appeared so he chose to spend it here. He had checked Ala Moana Disney Store but no luck. We or should I say I found 3 Stitch items immediately. Okay, good to pay and hele on. In the past we've purchased photos taken downstairs with Mickey, Stitch, and other characters roaming the buffet restaurant or on the grounds. Unfortunately due to Covid, times have changed as we were told characters do not roam the property but there is a central location where the luaus were held where they can be viewed. All those hugging arms and kissing fans both young and older alike are no longer okay during this day and age of masks and social distancing. Hopefully good times will return in the future but for now you can still visit Kalepa's for Aulani memorabilia. read more

Disney pins are sold here! The pins are the real reason why I come into this shop every time my family stays at Aulani. They have the Aulani pins, seasonal pins, and the Hawaii themed pins for characters like Moana and Stitch. I buy 2-4 pins each visit and add them to my collection. Other items sold here are kids and adult clothes, mugs, tumblers, stuffed animals, backpacks, suitcases, Disney ears, hats, canned/bottled drinks, and snacks. There is also a small section for amenities in case you forget to pack a toothbrush or if you need medicine. Since this is a gift shop on the Aulani property, the items are on the pricey side. read more

When it comes to Disney, there's been a lot that I've taken issue with from it's treatment of the creators of the Marvel characters to bleeding the general public dry every chance they get. But here I am in Hawaii and they've got some adorable stuff exclusive to this resort. I did break down and buy a few things but had to cut back big time. It's difficult because they have so much stuff kids would (and some adult members of the family) would love to get as gifts but I just can't go big ticket anymore because of how they treat those who are not wealthy (like me). I have no issue with the shop because they have cool items and the staff is nice. I just wish Walt's vision had survived instead of being transformed into a money making monster, winner take all. read more

I walked pass On my way to the parking one day during our stay and made a note to bring her down. The next night we went down and showed her the case. She didn't know they had pandora charms here either! She couldn't decide between the Fairy Godmothers or Disney pink Castle. ($70 each) So one of the ladies mentioned the kamaaiana discount would bring it to $50ish each, I told her to buy BOTH! This is the closest I can get when I get that urge to go to Disneyland. I come to this store for all my Duffy and Shellie Mae needs! I love those bears and they always have seasonal merchandise with them on it. The store is located near the lobby on the left side. It isn't a big store and has a Disney character souvenir side and a convenience store side with snacks and drinks. They have a good selection of Disney souvenirs that are exclusive to Aulani and even special Minnie ears. They often have a lot of seasonal merchandise so their products do change, although the characters stay the same like Mickey, Duffy, Stitch, etc. The prices are more on the expensive side which isn't surprising since it's a resort. I wish they gave kamaaina discount. Parking is expensive at the hotel so I try to walk here from the beach parking or if I dined somewhere in the area and had hotel parking. Kalepa's Store is one of three souvenir shops at Aulani Disney Resort. I stopped by to pick up some Aulani goodies for friends on the mainland. The Children's section carries a variety of miniature Tsum Tsum's as well as Mickey, Minnie, and Stitch in the larger pillow size. Today, the Moana section was minimal, but I ended up picking up a Big Golden Book. There are ears behind the register, but not much of a selection - standard black, Aulani print, and wedding. Cute cute cute jewelry available! Love the pineapple and ears charm necklace, which is also available in a hibiscus and ears charm design. Color choices are silver, yellow gold, and rose gold. The rose gold necklace will match perfectly with the newest rose gold ears available at Disneyland/Disney World. Many bracelets with various charms available too. There were Aulani t-shirts for sale, but the designs were mediocre. Maybe it's just the time of year (end of August). I'll have to check this place out as it gets closer to Christmas. The ever-so-popular stuffed animal at Disney Japan, Duffy the Disney Bear, is also available for purchase here. Lots of costumes for the bear, too. Reminds me of Build A Bear in California. Good selection of a variety of merchandise. Aulani, dvc, year dated, etc. Some shirt designs were kid only. The DVC discount came in handy. 10% goes a long way when you're buying so much. If they don't have your size at the time you go try again tomorrow and see if they have it in stock. I wanted to get a mug but none of the designs appealed to me. Even more-so the handles on most of them were wonky and felt awkward in the hand. That and having to pack it for flying dissuaded me from purchasing one. read more

We drove 45 mins from Waikiki to visit the property for dining and shopping. Had a great experience shopping at the fine gifts store with Brian. But when we went to purchase merch for our friends Wedding gift, Kristen was very rude, impatient and ignored the questions we did have and was very abrasive. Every cast member we interacted with was fantastic and gave the expected Disney hospitality. I'm not sure what we did to Kristen to make her so negative toward us but it made us completely want to leave and spend no more money. read more

If you're a fan of Disney, which includes Star Wars and Marvel, this is the only place for thousands of miles that carries Disney Parks merchandise on a store shelf. The store is not large, but offers a great selection of otherwise unobtainable collectibles! Disney Parks sells a lot of merchandise that you can only buy at the parks. Being in the middle of the ocean, we're quite far from an actual park. Luckily we have Kalepa's Store at Disney Aulani Resort. Entering through the main entrance, you turn left and can't miss it! The store is divided into two sections. The entrance area has new and featured/seasonal items. To the right is typical hotel convenience store fare of foods, but also has Disney Aulani Resort merchandise like mugs and cups, clothing, and other goods. Along the left wall, you will also find the loved Disney pins. They have lots of Disney Parks exclusives pins: Disney characters, Marvel, Star Wars, seasonal/holiday, and Aulani Resort varieties. They range from $9.99 to $14.99, so they aren't cheap. Blind bag and pin sets are also here. On the left side of the store is all the fun stuff: toys and collectibles! They have a small Star Wars section that has limited Star Tours items, also occasional action figure sets and other exclusives. Disney Vinylmation figures can also be found here, with different properties on different shelves. This is the only place in the world to get the Hawaii Menehune figure; there is also a gold chase figure. TsumTsums are also found here. They stock the newest series that are widely available, as well as Parks-only exclusives. They run $5.99, but sometimes have sales of 3 for $15. Disney Princesses and other merchandise is also here. There are two cashier stations on either side, so it's never a long wait to checkout. Prices are as you would expect, very high although not unreasonable for unnecessary collectibles. Be sure to check back frequently for new items. Parking can be difficult, as resort parking is expensive. Try the public beach access lots at the lagoons for free, no-hassle parking and take a nice walk over. This a fun stop for tourists and locals who love Disney! read more

I love Disney merchandise and often shop at this gift store throughout my stay. They usually have what's in season for the most part. Since we had just passed Easter, there was a bunch of Easter egg themed items and Shellie May as well. Of course they had Lilo & Stitch, and Moana items. Since this is tourist central, the prices are pretty steep.. would love it if they had a Kama'aina discount. Then again, maybe they do and I wasn't informed or thought to have asked about a discount. I never have a pleasant interaction with the associates. Throughout every single one of my visits, I have not seen the Aloha spirit.. At a Disney resort or Disney anything for that matter, I would assume all members, not just cast members, would have some sort of customer service game face and act on you know? read more

The only thing preventing five stars is the high prices, but that is to be expected at a Disney property, so it's understandable. I would like to commend an employee there, La'Amea, for his outstanding work and generosity. He voluntarily got a newer item from the back of the store despite me not asking him to do so, and he allowed us to hold a bunch of items behind the counter line while my family shopped for other products. He seemed like just an all-around good guy and I hope his supervisor and other managers for Disney see this review and recognize him for representing your company so well. read more

lol i went rogue at kalepa. basically wanted to take everything home but i ended up being my rational self and picked out a luggage tag, keychain, and aulani spirit jersey to add yo my spirit jersey collection. sizes aren't well-stocked but i did notice that they replenish throughout the day. lots and lots of cute aulani exclusive earbands and merch! they can validate parking for non-aulani guests. no magic key discounts, but discounts for dvc members. read more

Only place on earth, (Except EBay) you can buy the Menehune Vinylmation Figurine. It's the only general store option on the Aulani resort and it's not cheap, but they do have unique Disney Pins, Christmas Ornaments and other Disney items. Unless you're looking for a Disney or Aulani souvenir I would do my grocery shopping across the street at the Island Country Market by ABC stores or Costco/Target/Safeway in Kapolei. If your staying at the resort this is a convenient option for the refillable cup that Aulani offers and small selections of Food and Drinks, they have alcohol too but it will cost you. read more

I'm completely obsessed with all the Aulani and Disney things! I can't remember how much I purchased our ears from the Disneyland Park but it can't be that far off from the price here, without the higher tax too. And for the chance to show off your aloha spirit with the plumeria and Aulani brand is awesome. The selection definitely isn't nearly as great as any of the shops at any of the Disney Parks but for Hawaii, I'll take it! If you definitely plan to make a purchase, you're able to get your parking validated with a $50+ purchase. Otherwise, I wouldn't make a special trip out just to browse, parking is not cheap! Along with Disney goods, it's like a small mini mart. They have a refrigerator with drinks, a section of snacks, meds and others (even a little liquor). On the opposite side of the mini mart is where their photo pass desk is. If you've taken pictures around the resort or in the restaurants, you'll find them here. Although it gets crowded inside, there are 3 registers to check out so the crowds dont stay long. If you park in the garage, you'll find Kalepa's store by walking past the Disney Vacation Club, continue past the front desk and it'll be on your left. Be prepared to spend all the moneys... I am writing this complaint because I like Aulani and I expect them to improve their customer service. I recently shopped at the Kalepa's store in Disney Aulani Resort. They did not have a logo paper bag or tissue anymore. Instead, a cashier just threw merchandises into a brown paper bag ungracefully. The cashier did not seem to respect Disney merchandise or a customer. The no logo brown paper bag looked like a bag from a warehouse sale, not from a fancy Disney Aulani store. The brown bag lowers the value of Disney and destroys a good image of Disney. This poor shopping experience should not have been occurred at any Disney Resorts. I remember that they used have a nice complementary logo paper bag and tissue, combination of orange and brown color two years ago. I hope Disney Aulani Resort realize how many Disney fans got disappointed from shopping there and fix this issue to satisfy them. read more

Kalepa's has a good selection of Aulani merchandise that is exclusive to the resort. Most of the t-shirts are in the $35 range but some are made by Crazy Shirts which tends to be good quality. The price point is pretty high though when it comes to kid's t-shirts, which if you are buying for kids, this can add up quick. They also sell Mickey-Shaped Macadamia Nut Shortbread Cookies, which are super-cute and are the perfect souvenir gift for family and friends. They come in plain, chocolate dipped and guava flavor and they also sell variety boxes. The packaging is simple but cute and each cookie is individually wrapped. You can also find the exclusive Dooney & Bourke bags here with the Disney Aulani designs on them. There is also a good selection of exclusive pins that you can only buy at Aulani. I love what the Imagineers have done with the design of the store, especially the shave ice machine chandelier that hangs from above. The whole store feels like you might be in a genuine old-time Hawaiian general store on the island, but nicer. The one big downside of shopping at Kalepa's and Aulani in general is that they don't offer any type of discount on merchandise and food - and I have a lot of the Disney memberships -- NO Disneyland/Disney World Annual Pass Discount, NO D23 discount and not even a discount on your Disney Visa credit card! Even though we are not DVC members, I heard that they don't get a discount here, either. This is a big let-down, considering almost every other place offers at least 10% off your bill. read more

Kalepa's Store is a great gift shop and sundries store located in the Ewa Tower side of the lobby at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa. Bear in mind that this IS a HOTEL store, so prices are inflated. Care for a $4 bottle of Waialua Soda? Anyway, once you get the sticker shock, they do have a great variety of clothes, dolls, goodies, gifts, and even food & wine. I frequent this store a lot when staying on property and make it a point to visit the store any time I may be on property, primarily to purchase Disney Pins and to check out what Disney Vacation Club (DVC) gear they have on hand. The staff here, for the most part, is very friendly as well. I do, however, generally see the same people when I go here. They don't remember who I am, but their level of service has been consistent across all my visits since Test Days back in August 2011, prior to the resort opening. I love the fact that you can charge all purchases on your room key here as well Would be even better if they offered a discount for all DVC members... if the Disney Store offers a 10% discount to DVC members, then why not the resort shop? read more

Recently, I got a nice boat neck striped shirt with a nice Aulani logo for 25% off...I've been admiring it the last two times I went, but couldn't see myself paying regular price for it (even with my DVC discount!). This store has cute things! Please don't expect a large Disney store. It is a small store with mini mart type items and Aulani/character goods. The cute store is located in the Ewa Tower on lobby level. The prices are steep but it's Disney so of course its expensive and if you can afford to stay here you can afford to shop here (I couldn't afford to stay here but stay for free thanks to my in-laws). A lot of people purchase the $20 refillable Aulani hot/cold tumbler. When you purchase this tumbler and you are able to refill it throughout your stay!! We got coffee, cocoa, all kinds of soda though out our stay. The tumbler is refillable at any soda fountain in the resort. Omiyage galore! I purchased my daughter a whole bunch of cute Aulani items I got her the Aulani Stitch ($25), Aulani MIckey Mouse ornament ($10) a Aulani t-shirt ($25), and a Nemo beach bucket ($5.95). For the co-workers I got Aulani pens ($5) and Aulani shopping bags. Last, for my obaachan in Japan I got some Aulani Chocolate dipped cookies ($25) for my mom to take to Japan next week. Very quaint little general store on Aulani's property. I visited Kalepa's to buy some Disney Parks goodies. They carry a small variety of Disney goodies made specifically for Aulani along with some general Disney Parks merchandise (which cannot be found anywhere else on Oahu). They also sell snacks, drinks, and other necessities like a mini mart. Overall, the prices are expensive like anything you would find at Disneyland/Disney World. But as a Disney fan, it's always worth it to me! Stitch is all over this store and he's my favorite character so I'm always thrilled to add more Stitch goodies to my collection. I wish this store could extend though. I'd love more selection of the Disney Parks snacks like their taffy and chocolate covered Mickey pretzels! I also would like more Disney Princess presence as a princess fan. Wouldn't Ariel merchandise be an awesome addition with the beach so close by? This has got to be the cutest little Disney store ever. It did not have much, but it had enough to make me want to constantly look at it. There are two sides to the store and the middle is mostly the section of the Aulani resort merchandise, the section on the left was more of the mugs, shirts, and kids goodies, and on the right side more goodies, but mostly keychains as well as snacks for the rooms. There are also items you'll need for swimming such as sunblock and towels and any other necessity you may need during your time here. I did notice that the Hawaiian Shortbread cookies did sell the ones with mickey mouse on it and so I had to buy and bring it back. The staff members there are very nice and helpful. I bought quite a few souvenirs there to bring back home. They also had cute spirit jerseys there. I could not pass it up and eventually caved it and bought one. I love this store and will be back soon the next time I stay at the Aulani Resort. I highly recommend people to check it out, but keep in mind that this not your typical Disney store so their inventory is not quite the same. This is however the only location you can get Aulani gear aside from online. read more

They sell the Disney tsum tsum's here! I was so happy when I saw them and caught them on a good day! They were just restocking and had a deal for the small ones, buy 3 for $15 (or it would be $6 each). Other things were pretty expensive but I was just super glad for the tsum tsum :) read more
