This Ross is always full for the shopper of every need. They have a little or a lot of everything. You just have to go through it. I like this Ross for summer dresses and then I do check them out for doggy things. My only negative the clothes racks are really crammed with clothes, sometimes it's so tight you can't push them aside to look at the clothes. But the customer service is great. There's always someone at the door to greet you everybody sweet at the cashier. The lines run quickly. And sometimes they have some great sales. Shopping in Kapolei, Oahu, Hawaii... Comparing prices for merchandise is important these days. I was actually looking for house slippers for my auntie because her feet are a bit swollen. I couldn't believe that I saw a price tag for socks for 49 cents! Whaaat??? Then, I saw pink house slippers for 49 cents also... Gosh... I've only read about these clearance items. Now... I believe it! Too bad the slippers were not in auntie's size... Browsing around the clean, air-conditioned, well-lit, organized store made me happy! Who doesn't love Ross... It's so hard to resist stopping by whenever I'm in the area because you never know what you'll find here at Ross. Many of my favorite items whether it's clothing, shoes or that cute decor all was all found at Ross. Lately this location rarely fulfilled that expectation as it seems to be understaffed as the lines are always so long many items that are dropped on the floor or slightly yanked out of the rack as people looked at clothing never tucked it back in or items just left elsewhere. It all seemed very unkept which is sad because if I dropped an item I do pick it up. Shopping here has always been the best deals, especially if they're marked down or if I'm in need of some last-minute items Ross has it and hopefully they will be staffed better to help the current situation. For me, I've been lucky whenever I goto this Ross Dress for Less in Kapolei, as I've been scoring some doggie DEALAGES for my doggie - Makana! Probably one of the bigger Ross stores on the island, you can find an array of stuff like - household products, clothes of course, shoes, electronics, linens, jewelry, some food items & snacks, and of course what I came here for........pet products! The few times I was in Kapolei working, I decided to pop on into this store to look for some stuff for my furry son Makana, and I was so lucky to score some doggie snacks, as well as doggie pills as Makana is an old man like me! Buwahahahahaha! Parking here is so easy, as this particular "Ross Dress for Less" is located in a Ginormous shopping complex (Kapolei Commons) which is shared by other businesses. 11 NOV 2020 (V-day) 3 stars for the long check out lines and extended wait; no socks for trying on shoes, nor any foot measuring tool! This Ross location is big and well stocked. The shelves/ hanging items seem well organized and sorted by size. Each item I looked at seem to have a corresponding smaller and larger sizes; this is a plus since most specialized stores have very limited sizes on their items. Ross is inclusive in this regard. Holiday items were already displayed for purchase. All items were reasonably priced. Each department I visited had an employee working. I was in search of a sneaker for my nephew who seem to be between sizes. In the shoe department, I asked about socks for trying on shoes but, they didn't have any. I was also looking for one of those foot sizing checker apparatus (I have no clue what they are called!). They didn't have any either. So, I picked a size I thought would fit him. As soon as we arrived home, my nephew tried on the sneakers and sure enough, although it fit, his toes were too close. We will have to return for a half size bigger. There is a Ross store closer to my house to I will go there instead. When we were ready to check out, we waited in line for at least 10 minutes. Although there are 10 registers, only 3 cashiers were working. This seem to be a common trend with a lot of stores. There are 'job openings' signs postrd so maybe they are short on employees! ‍ At the cashier I made sure to ask about the return policy. The cashier informed me that all items have a 30 day return policy with receipt and tags. I like that they use paper bags instead of plastic! Environmentally conscious! However, if you don't have your own bags, each paper bag cost .15 cents! The paper bag is large enough and sturdy enough to fit a lot of items. read more

One of the biggest Ross stores I have been to on island and the vibes are a lot more relaxed. My grandma loves coming to this specific one so I'd usually volunteer to drive her. She gets that 10% senior discount on Tuesdays. Not much of a discount when you think about the tax % you're paying but hey, a discounts a discount for them..or anyone for that matter. It's a whole lot more spacious and roomy. Parking is never ever a hassle throughout the different times that I come. Though I must say, shopping in the early morning is my favorite time to go since I don't have to face the west side sweltering heat. Since there are more stores on this side of Kapolei commons, it's a nice walk to explore other stores. But as for the merch in Ross, i love the bargains. Some of my last pick ups included glass Tupperware, ice cube tray, some cute tops, and kitchen mats. If I can't find what I'm looking for at the Ross nearest me, this is my next stop, not Zippys lol! read more

Shopping at Ross and food go hand in hand, at least for me. So many Ross stores on Oahu...they are in easy to locate and park areas. If I'm on a mission to find something reasonsble( cheap) of good quality and with brand names I can visit 4 of my favorite branches in one day. For instance if I go to Ala Moana or have an appointment in town I'll stop at the one at Ward first after picking up a quick bite for breakfast at Bale a couple doors down. Next on to the one in Pearlridge by Pali Momi's Women's Center. If it's close to lunch time I can visit the food court after I shop and pick up some Lechon, chicken adobo and halohalo from Bautista's. A few miles down the road in Pearl Highlands on the opposite end of the theaters I can go into another Ross. I can get gelato from Highlands Market or bubble tea if the afternoon heat is intense. My favorite is the one in Mililani since it's the nost convenient for me. I like to buy my pup's pee pads from here, two brands especially: Buddy and Bella or C. Milan's package. I buy picture frames, sheet sets, towels, active wear, luggage and shhh... panties here. I can go in for one thing and end up with a cartfull. Afterwards I can pick up dinner at Blazing Steak and a drink from Jamba or Starbucks next door. With all this eating and snacking another reason I shop at Ross is they carry men, children and women's departments. Petite to plus sizes are available for ladies which is wonderful. You know I'm a size xs right? Joke!!! with all the grinds not a chance. Ho ho ho Merry Christmas Lines will probably be getting longer with the Xmas Rush so come early or shop late, good luck before the shelves are wiped out. Worst case scenario there's many other stores and chains you'll just have to raid the piggy bank more. read more

I came in this location for the first time. I have been to other locations all around the island but this one. This one was good but I didn't find anything but a pair of Guess shoes that costs me $23.00! Cool deal! I also bought a shirt for mother in law and she liked it. I ended up picking up more masks. I enjoy venturing out to this Ross location. It's in an area that's easy for me to navigate, close to other stores and eateries and it's never crazy crowded here. This Ross is pretty big and open. I never feel cramped or crowded when I shop here. So far, with my pup being in her little carry bag, I haven't had problems bringing her in. Always a plus for me. Especially since there's a pet store nearby, this is just another place that she can visit! I seem to have luck finding just what I need at this store more than others. There's lots of parking, enough to go around for all the businesses and it's customers. The employees are always helpful. I've never had long wait times in line here. I really have complaints, it's just not in my neighborhood so it's a bit out of the way for me. I still make excuses to be on this side though so it's never a really big deal. read more

I have always liked coming to the Kapolei location. It seems that whenever I walk in I find some cute outfit, purse, pair of shoes, or something for home decor. I never have to worry about not finding my size. I love that Ross has something for everyone, especially us curvier ladies. I also have a wide foot. It is difficult to find my shoe size in wide. This location I have found several shoes that were a perfect fit for me. The staff always is friendly and willing to assist. This is definately my favorite location! read more

I do not know if they're understaffed or what, but the service here was horrible. The line was TERRIBLE. If the staff or management knew that the line was so long they should have opened up another cashier. We were going to buy a lot of things, but ended up not buying it because standing in the line was not worth it. The items that are sold here are gems. You really have to go on the days after a shipment so that you can get the good stuff. There are so many name brands at cheap prices. I gave them 2 stars because of the amount of good stuff that they have, if they didn't have good items being sold then I would have just given a 1 star. I'm sure there are a lot of good deals to be found at this store, but I'm not a big fan of this location because it's usually so cluttered. The overhead fluorescent lights are jarring and the store layout is uninviting. Most of all, the clientele here are less refined. During the height of Covid (2020), I would inevitably see patrons walking around with their masks below their mouths or not covering their noses. It's as if the protection of others is just too much of an ordeal for them to undertake. I do have to give these people credit, they are very generous with sharing their germs. One time I came here and a lady was coughing up a lung as she perused the tight aisles. It could have been a common cold or allergies, but if you're hacking like crazy, please stay home. The lines for returns and purchases are separated, but if they don't have a lot of people returning, the cashier at the return line will ring up people who are purchasing. This can be a good thing or a bad thing as sometimes I end up waiting a long time in the return line because they want to help the people who are purchasing items first. I get that the people purchasing were there before me, but they have several cashiers helping them, whereas there's only one person processing returns. Perhaps they can just combine the lines for returns and purchases like they do at Marshalls so it's fair for everyone. On a positive note, their prices are usually cheaper than Marshalls or TJ Maxx located in the same shopping complex. Regardless, I only come here as a last resort if I'm looking for something specific that I can't find at Marshalls or TJ Maxx. read more

I love Ross but this location needs to do a better job about social distancing. I just went today and the line to pay was wrapped around the entire store. No markers on the floor. No arrow signs to help avoid crossing in the aisles. They have a maximum number sign at the front of the store but it looked like the store during pre-covid days. I felt unsafe. But it's Ross! Has to be one of the most poorly run stores I have ever shopped! Only 2 cashiers while the manager and supervisor laugh and giggle in the corner with the LP person/ greeter. Malele at Ross Kapolei was HORRIBLE. She had the biggest attitude when I came out of the dressing room without the hangers on 3 pants that I was going to PURCHASE so I was kindly handing the hangers to her because I no longer needed them. The attitude was unnecessary, stating the clothes need to be ON the hangers so they can put the clothes back on the racks. HELLOOOOO I'm buying the daym pants, the attitude was uncalled for. Malele needs an attitude check ASAP. All of the other workers this morning was the sweetest! Who loves Ross? I do! Location/Parking: I love that there is a Ross in the same shopping center as Target. There are tons of parking at this shopping center but the parking spaces are small. Merchandise: They sell everything here from decor, toys, shoes, bags, bedding and etc. I love the selection of workout and casual clothes. I bought a thick Nike jacket a year ago for $29.99 and I snatched it right away. You can compare the original prices of clothes like Nike since the original tags are on it. You can find name brand items like Michael Kors, Coach, Sanuk, Betsy Johnson, Stride Rite and etc. Merchandise is stocked all the time. The shelves are always filled with goods. There's always something for someone. Bathroom: They do have a restroom next to the fitting room. No merchandise are allowed in the bathroom. Overall, I love Ross. I love finding deals. read more

Tacky little bougiemart. All your kid's clothes look like stripper costumes, everything has anti-theft tags and they won't let you take your cart out to your car to unload. Ross Dress for Less is one of the tenants located in the Kapolei Commons. Lots of parking is available for the drivers. I stepped foot into this store back in December 2015. The store was pretty busy because of everybody shopping for Christmas gifts. Inside the store a person may find clothing for men, women, and children. There are other merchandise that a person can purchase like picture frames, house decorations, toys for the children, and even stuffed animals. The soft teddy bears and rabbits are the ones that normally catch my interest especially since I love stuff animals. As I was browsing around the store I noticed that some of the aisles were cluttered with toys on the ground. Some of the clothing were just tossed on the racks and not put back in place by potential shoppers. I haven't found anything that would catch my eye as a gift. If anything I'll return when the store is back in order and not too messy to find something for my little niece or myself. 26/200 read more

I believe this Ross is the most organized on the island and I pretty much been to all of them. Every time I come here the entire product has its place in a neat and organized fashion. Ross is like a lower end version of T.J. Maxx, although they sometimes tend to carry the same products. Ross is a great place to find the expensive items that Pier 1 imports and Bed Bath and Beyond sell off. You can most likely decorate your whole house with merchandise from Ross or look like a fashion model, with their affordable clothing. I have known people to hire interior decorators and take them to Ross to furnish their homes and there is nothing wrong with that. I have heard the complaints about the "taking your own receipt" and while standing in line have seen the clerks tell that to customers but the last two times I went the girl gave me the receipt and the next time she put it in the bag for me. Not sure if it is store policy to tell customers to grab the receipts or if some employee is setting a trend. Besides that returns here are painless and the line can get a bit long sometimes which kind of makes customers second guess their purchase or walk out entirely. It's not worth me standing in line for 10-15 minutes for a $5 product. I'm guilty of it. Overall I enjoy visiting Ross to see what new items they have in stock. read more

So here I am, again I always come here after eating at Denny's with my parents. My Mom loves this place. But I swear that there is a Senior Citizen discount day but my schedule just never seems to be on the same day. It's ok because we still have a blast and we always come out with something. There is always something that we need to either decorate the house, the yard or clothing, shoes or bedding or OMG! The list can go on and on and on. This time I came in for curtains because my lady curtains that ice had forever and decided to wash just got eaten by my washer!! lol I never knew it could do that! The Kapolei Ross is really conveniently located for me to stop by after work if I need to pick up a few things or just want to do a little pau hana browsing and winding down. It's not as big and doesn't have as much of a selection as say, the Ward location. However, I have never encountered the screaming kids or ankle biters running amok in the aisles like I have at Ward, so I'll take the tradeoff. Service and parking is also quick enough that if I need to run in quickly during my lunch break, I can do that, too. Went to Ross this morning around 1045-11ish. There was only 2 cashiers. And the line was super long!! There were some employees on the floor organizing and stocking, but why not open more registers to get the line down? One of the cashiers was chewing her gum like a cow! In front of customers, in fact, WHILE she was ringing them up. To me that's not only gross, but not very presentable. I went into this Ross store on a Friday afternoon and it was pretty busy at the time. I didn't find anything that I needed or wanted, but the store is about the same size as many of the other locations I have been to over the years. This Ross is at the Kapolei Commons off the western teminus of the H1 freeway. As with all the discount retailers, there is a lot of cool merchandise and treasures at low prices. read more

Check out the new Ross store on King Street....I like the hours...they are open late! I was happy to find those great hangers that have the rubber strip on the shoulder area for the tops with wide necklines...yes!...but I did not like that some of the employees are too busy visiting with their friends to help customers (like me!). Bought my hangers on my first visit, so I thought, ok, maybe they have "stuff" that I can use...so on my second visit there, I was trying to find a price on something and they (not just one) kept saying go to the check out for a price check....heck, I'm waaaay at the back of the store and the check out line is long! They need to have a better way of making price checks...in any event, I gave up. Store is a nice size, great location for me, parking is fine, but hope they get their people trained! read more

I have been shopping at Ross for years and just haven't been able to find a department store equal to it. They have an awesome selection of designer clothing, furniture, tableware, bedding, shoes, accessories and random gift-worthy items that are just too cool to pass up!! Location means a lot to me- as I have found that both for supermarkets like safeway and department stores/outlets for Ross- it does make a difference. I highly recommend the new Ewa, Kapolei or pearlridge location as they are very organized, the stores are clean and there is just so much more room to browse (not excessive room- but more so than other locations). The ala moana location is good, too- 2-stories tall and validated parking/garage- but I don't go there for clothes... okay- I'll just break it down like this... Ewa location: awesome for men and women designer clothing. Great selection of furniture and bedding. Lots of parking. Never crowded. Kapolei location: great for shoes, handbags and juniors clothing- nice bedding and home decorating essentials. Lots of toys for keiki. Clean- parking- eateries all around. Pearlridge location: great selection of everything. ALWAYS CROWDED. PARKING SUCKS.... but awesome selection of everything! From clothes to shoes to home and kitchen stuff to furniture and creams and teas and all that jazz. Now- I love my michael korrs and my Calvin Klein and bcbg and boutique 9 and Vince camuto and i can find all of them here. Most deals for those brands start from $15 to $59... I've only seen shoes priced higher than that. I love to find zagiri shirts for beau which run $20 as opposed to $160... pretty awesome deals. Love bargain shopping, and this is basically my go to Bargain/thrift shop. I say thrift because they sell brand clothes that are sold here and for a way cheaper price. I never really used to shop at ROSS but considering they have a really nice selection of plus size clothes. It is a hit or miss though, some days they have new styles and some days they look like they are meant for your grandmother. Parking can be a hassle but never really had problems considering it is shared with other stores in Kapolei Parkway. Customer service, I cant really say much no employee has ever acknowledged my existence other than the dressing room attendant asking 'How many clothes?' There are a lot of rare finds at different ROSS stores so once you see it, and then the next day IF its gone, they wont restock that item. read more

I don't really come out here but today I was in the area and I went shopping with my mom. There's lots of parking which is great and it's almost always packed right in the front of the store so be prepared to stretch them legs a bit if you can't find close parking. You're immediately greeted by LP associate that's right next to the Customer Service/Return/Refund area. Registers are on your left and shoes are on your right. The set up/logistics of this Ross is a little weird, to me. This Ross got an ok rating from me because I did not like the maze they made to stand in line to check out. I love the Ross chain. I'm so glad Kapolei finally has one! This location is brand new, but they take pride in keeping it organized and clean. Clothing selection exceeds my standards! They always have the cutest outfits for the lowest prices. This Ross carries nothing but the BEST... You can't even tell that it's from Ross. The only thing that they may need improvement on is having an extensive home & bath selection. However, they can also have a speedier cashier checkout system. read more

I just moved to this area from Hawaii Kai, I miss my old Ross! This Ross at Kapolei has nothing good compare to my old Hawaii Kai store. So sad! Sales personnel are very nice, no problem there; but I think all the good stuff gets send somewhere else - why?! If anything, they should make a priority to stack up this store better. We have the fancy resorts down the street! We have nothing in beauty products, hosiery, intimate wear. Same old style shoes week after week. Nothing in electronics either! Why?! Employees need a lesson on customer service or need to think before they speak. I get doubled charged and she says to me....come I need to check to see if I really did. Now, prior to that when she cashed me out she was rushing me to leave the counter so I didn't bother to look at my receipt. I was halfway home till I seen she scanned me twice and I drove back . So back to my story....she really said it in a tone of voice that made me feel like I'm stupid. And that's a big NO FOR ME. So whatever you do...stay away from this location. read more

I would not even give this store a 1 star if I had a choice. We stopped by today to pick up some towels (for doggy baths/Beach time) and some shorts/jeans for our daughter. Found 5 shorts and 3 jeans (~198.00), want her to try on 4 shorts and a pr of jeans to make sure they fit. We to the dressing room, the girl there told us to put the items on the rack in front of her. We did, she then proceeded to check all the pockets and made sure all the tags were on. She then said I could remove them from the rack (why she couldn't just hand them to me is beyond my compensation), than proceeded to tell me (in a rather snotty voice) to bring them back "ON THE HANGERS" . My daughter tried them on and we decided to keep 4 of the 5, plus the others in our cart. I hung the one pr back on the hanger and we proceeded back to the female employee. I handed her the pr we didn't want than got the shock of my life when she said " I TOLD YOU TO HAVE THEM ALL BACK ON THE HANGERS" in a rather loud voice because my husband and 2 other customers turn to see what was going on. I told her we are buying the other 4 items and she proceeded to say once again "YOU NEED TO PUT THEM ON THE HANGERS AND GIVE THEM TO ME". I looked at my daughter and did as the female employee asked. She than went through each pocket and check the tags (guess to see if I switched the prices) than told me to take them. I just looked at her and said she just cost her store a sale and I would never be back and walked away. She yells after us " I AM DOING MY JOB LADY". We get to the front and I ask a cashier were the complaint forms were or if they had the number for the corporate office. She went to ask another employee and that female employee said " we don't have that information, but you can talk to the on-duty manager ". Told her no, I want the corporate information, because nothing ever gets done at the local level. We will not ever be going back to Ross, maybe one family is nothing to them, but I think if I stop, my family stops (~100 people on this island) and they tell others, maybe change can happen. read more

I find some hidden items here always at a low price. I have been blessed in finding those gems beneath the pile of bargains. I love this Ross location! It's usually consistently busy and filled with lots of interesting finds. Parking - tons of parking but because there are other businesses nearby parking may be harder or farther to find during weekends. Bathrooms - are located in the back right hand corner of the store between the toys and baby section and you need to ask the ross employee working the fitting room to click the door open to get in Staff - staff is always super friendly here! Finds - for the most part the store is kept stocked at all times! Definitely a go to location!!! read more
