I can't tell you how much I love this store and this brand. The store location in the mall is always clean and bright, and the staff is amazing. They all know me by name, and I love them for it. The staff does an amazing job of helping customers, and assisting in anyway possible. As for the brand, I have never been mistaken for starving and anorexic, so the plus size clothing offered here is my jam. I can find everything from workwear - to fulfill my dreams of being as fancy as lawyer Barbie, to playwear - swimsuits, lingerie, T-shirts and shorts. Cute choices... A lovely find at Kamakana Alii as we don't have Torrid in town I was happy to find a shop that has such lovely variety of clothing and accessories as well. Not really looking for anything in particular I decided to take a peek and to see what they had to offer and was thrilled to see so many items and grabbed a few to try on and was happy to have found something and since they had a special sale of buy one get one at 40% off I did search and though they had lovely tee shirts as well I was looking for something more of a blouse which sadly I didn't find and just went with the single item. The staff here was the basic politeness as it was very late in the day figured they were tired but just didn't get the friendly vibe which made me feel a bit off and annoyed nevertheless got my item and be on my way thrilled to add another item to my closet. So glad I came along for the ride with hubs. Asked him to drop me off at the Kamakana Alii food court while he went to his appointment., I walked through the food court and turned left. Torrid was in view. First time shopping at this location but the set up was like Pearlridge so it was great. The friendly sales associate came towards me as I entered the shop. Looking for anything special? I'm going to check out the clearances. She shared they are 70% off. Ooh JOY! Thinking I only had 15 minutes to shop I hurried to the back right. Found 4 cute tops. I asked Telle, to help me with blouse on the very top rack way above my head. As she came I asked, is 70% off the last price(already marked down), yes! Paid for a bag to carry my purchases. My experience with this store was amazing because of a nice, patient and helpful lady. Her name is SANOE. She was sincere with her service and very helpful. I had trouble finding a skinny pants for myself. I went to almost all of the stores in Ka Makana Ali and I found nothing. Pants are wither tight or fit but too long. Torrid has the perfect pants for a chubby and short person like me. The pants I got look sexy in me. It hides my tummy. Fashion jewelry are fabulous too. It was my very first time in Torrid last night. I highly recommend the store and I commend the great customer service of SANOE. I will definitely go back. read more

I went in to pick up my order and was immediately greet by two young Ladies. One of which was Alexis. Alexis asked how she could help me and I had informed her that I had an order. She grabbed it and set me up to try them on in a changing room. She wrote my Name on the door and said that it was ready when I was. After trying the clothes on Alexis helped me with my purchase. Our conversation about the Mickey and Minnie Mouse Christmas shirt took our conversation to why I love Christmas so much and how I Decorate in an extreme way. Lol.. The years have not been good to my body haha! Metabolism and I have broken up and I am reaping the disadvantages of the failed relationship - I am no longer the skinny, fit 20-something, eat-whatever-I-want girl I once was. This makes shopping for decent clothes tricky. Gone are the days of finding everything in your size and the hardest part about shopping was deciding which perfect outfit to put back. Now, just like in Amy Schumer's I Feel Pretty, you walk into a store (that you have shopped at for years) and are met with, "If we don't have your size in store, you can always check online." Enter: Torrid. A clothing store made for, let's face it, curvy women. They have surprisingly stylish fashions and the models on the wall are beautiful. This store makes full-figured women actually feel comfortable in their body. They go as far as sizing dresses starting at 0...0!! Pants, however, are still the same. I believe this store sells sizes 10-30. The dressing rooms are spacious and actually have a fan above you that you can control! We women know how sweaty we can get trying on mounds of clothes! I opted to have the fan off as it made me cold. The staff was very nice and friendly, informed us of their rewards program (free), sales (currently buy 1 get 2 free clearance items), and discounts (military) available. Absolutely had the most shame-free shopping experience. So why the 4 stars and not 5 you ask? Were it not for the sale they were currently having, I would not be able to afford those prices. Sale price for a sun dress was $60. I didn't dare look at the real price. I'll have to come when they're not trying to get rid of last season's fashion to make room for the new season and compare prices. See you guys soon! read more

I'm really surprised at the good reviews this store has gotten. Almost everytime I walk into this store, I am never greeted. Today was no different. There were 2 associates working that I could see. My family and I walked in and no one said anything to us. I walked to the back of the store browsing through things, still no one said anything. When we started walking towards the exit, still nothing, and nothing as we left. Poor customer service is such a turn off. read more

This is my first time in the store. The Store had a huge selection. I wasn't too sure about the size chart because they were in digit . I don't think this is the store for you, if you're at 12 through 14. They do have spanks, that's what I was looking for. And with their 25% off plus military 10% off, I got my spanks for $25. Location- in the new ka makana alii mall Parking- lots of stalls not many close to this exact location but the walk isn't that far Clothing- tons of clothes accessories selection and sizes I usually prefer to do my shopping online because I hate finding a shirt that is a size too small or too big but this store location had lots of size options for everything and anything I was looking at I visited the store on a Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised to find it nice and empty. My mom and I browsed the aisles and received superb service from the two girls at the shop. I had a coupon and they told me the current special that was running would save me more money and they also explained the best time to use the coupon I did have. Service like that definitely doesn't go unnoticed, it's little things like taking the extra step to explain to the customer how to benefit the coupons they do have are what will keep me a faithful patron of this store. I first discovered Torrid when in New York visiting family. Since Hawaiian airlines has a 50lb weight limit before you have to pay extra fees and I already had enough Cookie Butter to cover half of Maui, I had to be prudent with my shopping and "only" was able to purchase five or six items at the time, but after that an addict was born. When I learned Torrid was opening a store at Pearlridge, my wardrobe became happy and my pockets became sad, and well with the opening of this store, I may very well need to start selling plasma. While some women may not feel bad for me for having this problem, as a woman with a larger chest, finding work appropriate tops has been a challenge for years. Most often, tops are either matronly and fit like a tent giving me the "I'm wearing a mumu and hiding a non-existent baby" frumpy look, or I look like my button is crying for help. Torrid's clothing is cut for women with curves all over and their tops, both button down and otherwise can accommodate a larger bust size without making me feel like I'm trying to show everyone in the office my cleavage. Last night I wandered into this new location looking to purchase a new pair of jeans or two due to the fact that my current size has been falling down and not fitting properly. Not really sure of what may be the right fit since I'm between sizes, I asked a sales associate for help, and she assisted me in picking out three different jeans to try and even encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and try on a pair of jeggings due to the fact that she swore they were more comfortable than any kind I may have worn before. Uncertain of my jegging adventure, I went to try on just the jeans, and low and behold, she knew what she was talking about! I am now the proud owner of a brand new pair of dark rinse jeggings that look and feel amazing and I don't have to worry about my tush coming out. After finding jeans, I of course wandered around the store until I spent my mandatory 1/3 of my income on clothing and left with tons of cute things because....treat yoself. I know some people will argue that Torrid's price point is a little high, but their clothing is for the most part well-made and wears well. The two times I've had an issue with an item I've purchased, I've been able to return/exchange with no issue and the customer service at this location and the Pearlridge one so far have been spot on. read more

I have just recently learned about this amazing store. I have to admit, they are a bit pricey for my taste (says the girl who shops at Savers) but its hard to find good quality clothes for us bigger girls. Before baby and moving back home with all this delicious food, I was an avid Victoria Secret shopper. I loved their bras and panties. Since gaining weight, I can't shop there anymore. Enter Torrid... the price and quality are about the same and they are made to FIT and SUPPORT a big girl like me. And their styles are up to date and range from sexy, to conservative, and just plain cute! I found that by signing up for their Torrid Insider club gets you some perks. Spend $200 get $10 I think what it is now. Seems like a lot, but I can easily spend $100 on just a few items. After you sign up for the program, you'll get emails alerting you of exclusive online sales. So what I did was get my clothing size and feel for the intimates sizing and waited for the online sales. What it seems like is that they usually have 25% off online, sometimes 30% and then they will have "flash sales" for a day or two where you can get 40% off. Then I just buy what I need and have them ship to the store for free. The store alerts me when its ready for pick up and then I can either try it on there at the store or take them home and try everything on. Anything I don't like, I can just take back to the store. They also have this Haute Cash program which I am new to. Apparently there is an earning period where for every $50 you spend, you get a coupon for $25 off of $50 I believe. Then they have a spending period where you can use those coupons online and in store. From what I gather though, is that you cannot use any promotion with any other promotion. So like if you have a 25% off coupon and something is BOGO, its either-or. As long as you know how to work the system, shopping here can be fun and cheap. Another thing I love about Torrid is their character lines, the Hello Kitty line in particular. As a big girl, it's hard to find cute Hello Kitty clothing in my size. This place has it (ONLINE ONLY) along with other cool characters like Ariel and other Disney Princesses, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and the Nightmare Before Christmas. TLDR; It is a bit pricey so sign up for the reward program and watch for the online exclusive sales. Buy when it's on sale and deliver to the store and return to the store for free! read more

I love their style of clothes! However it is very pricy (for one top its $39) and depending on their sizes, the smaller ones run out fast. Seems like they only have 2 workers at a time there, so it's kind of hard to snag one of them for help (ex. grabbing a top that's hanging up on the high racks or getting into a fitting room.) However they do have a rewards card that's free and helps a lot when they have their bogo sales. Again, love their fashion and style, just which it wasn't so expensive. read more

Everytime I come here I always walk away a happy camper. I can always find good looking clothes that fit me, which is no small feat since I hate shopping, especially for clothes. The staff here is always helpful and friendly. They'll go out of their way to help you find a size, or style of clothing if you ask. They're always willing to help make your shopping experience a good one. Their sales aisle is a always crazy, and when its a good sale its hard to find the size you need, but thats just normal. If you're a big girl and need to find clothes that are stylish and fit, this is the place. Just make sure that you get paid first because its expensive. I've only been to this location and the one in Pearlridge.the Kapolei location seems more open, not as cluttered as the Pearlridge one. No one greeted us as we walked in. They could use a lot of work in recovery as there were a lot of clothes hanging on top of racks and sizing was not in order. I had one of those coupons $30 off $75 and thought I could use it on my purchases but was informed it's only good on regular price items. I took off the clearance items, even though they were cheap, I really didn't need them. Left with two items and received a Haute Cash. I was disappointed they didn't bother to explain to me how it worked and when the redemption period was. But they did take three minutes to explain the in and out to the customer right before me. read more

Love the clothes that they have available in the store as it is all cute. I came here with a friend who wanted to shop here. When we walked in there wasn't any welcome as they were helping a customer. But In my head I'm like you don't need two people to help one customer. Plus they weren't busy there was literally the two customers they were helping plus us which was 4 customers total. We're looking around and they did even bother asking if we're doing okay since my friend wanted to try on the clothes. We actually ended up going up to them and asking if we can try it on. But then again they weren't rude. They need to just work in their customer service even a "Hi" to acknowledge the customer is basic customer service. I tend to fluctuate in weight. I look a lot of weight than I gain it back. It's so comforting to know that I can count on torrid for my style needs. I am a woman who's feel are larger than the average and wider than average. When I go shopping for heals, boots, or sandals I can count on torrid. A feeling of confidence knowing that I'll be taken care of. I feel the same about the clothing. My torrid size is usually 0-1. My Bra size is a 42DD. I always find what I'm looking for and more. What puts the cherry on the cake is the dressing rooms have fans in each room. OMG I am sold. There are times that people get hot because of personal reasons. It's so comforting to see that something like Fans in each dressing room is available. Its the little things that makes me shop at torrid and forget about the $$ price. If you are a frequent shopper I suggest that you sign up for there rewards program. You can find more about there rewards program on their website. Returns weather it be online or instore is always super easy. I have had no issues. Customer service at this specific location is good. They seem to have a lot of turnover. Torrid used to be my favorite store but after the customer service that I received I will be spending my money else where. I was at the store picking up my order and had a few minutes for another associate to come on the floor which was fine because I look around. Fast forward, 20 minutes later I still had no package. By this time I was ready to check out and asked the original sales associate if I could be ring up and get my order. She went to check if the other associate would come out and then returns me to say that she still couldn't get my order. Following her was one the associate and her reason to not watch the floor so the girl could get my package was that she was clocking out (but at the time was still clocked in). After I stated that I was waiting about 20 minutes she said she would wait so the girl could get my package. It took the girl less than a minute to go in the back to grab the package. One would think that since she was in a rush to clock out she would leave immediately but no she stayed to check her time sheet. Overall, it was an annoying situation that could have been avoided if this store had better customer service. read more
