I hardly come here anymore but the clothes are okay depending on what you prefer. I have even found name brands here. A major plus if it's in good condition. I definitely look for that. Plenty of items to look at from trinkets to clothing, toys and CDs. Plenty of parking up front and around.

Thrift Shopping in Waipahu, O'ahu, Hawai'i... My college friends wanted to do a non-eating activity and chose to go to Savers in Waipahu on a 30% off discount day (Tuesday) for shopping. Located in the Waipahu Shopping Plaza, Savers shares its free parking lot with Pacific Market and Max's of Manila. I was greeted right away by the worker who said, "Welcome to the oven!" I asked how long the air conditioner has been broken? He replied, "Since Thursday..." Wow... Six days of torture... LOL! Okay... I looked quickly through the kitchen gadgets, office supplies, sewing and knitting items, books, jewelry, etc. I think the prices are higher than those at Goodwill. I read a review that stated that Savers is a for-profit organization. Hmmm... Oh, well... My cousins enjoy shopping at this Savers. They said it's bigger than the Kalihi store. They told me about all of the good deals they have found in the past. If you have time to go treasure hunting, maybe Savers in Waipahu will be a better experience after the air conditioner is repaired...

Harman Kardon HK206 Speakers Moiliili Location

This 1 star review is in regards to the pricing only. I've been thrifting at this location for over 5 years now. The prices at this location has always double or triple the prices compared to the other location. Not sure why, but here are 2 photos in comparison one is at the Moiliili vs Waipahu. What I have shown in comparsion is two pairs of Harman Kardon HK206 speakers that originally came with Dell computers in the early 2000s. One is priced at $9.99 and the other is priced at what $199? When I went to Waipahu today, I had to take a look and to see the reason why these speakers were behind the counter as if they are considered a high end item. Just because the brand is Harman Kardon, does not mean that the speakers are worth $200! Good if you can sell the bag at $20 Max. If your going to over price things, do your research and check out eBay sold comps not just base things off of brand, embarassing!

    Thrift shopping with my girls

A few weeks ago my girls took me to do one of their favorite things "thrifting". They love Savers and all the great bargains. At first I was overwhelmed with so many things in one place , but my girls have their system so I just followed. We enjoyed looking at all the small bags with lots of bargains in them. Just random things bunched together. One whole wall full. You definitely need to have time to go to Savers. The one thing I did like was how everything was so nicely hung or placed in an organized fashion. Shorts and pants hung with the sizes facing out and most of the clothes are well sorted in different categories. Plus on certain days they offer a savings if you purchase a certain color price tag. You can return your purchase if it doesn't fit because there is no dressing room since COVID I was told, but it's kind of an even swap exchange. The store is as well kept as it can be considering how many things are for sale. Lots of parking and the ladies that work here is very nice and welcoming. Looking for a bargain or something unique try Savers.... You will be amazed at what people donate and if you donate you will also be given a coupon for 20% off your next purchase.

10-13-21 if you like to browse Knick knacks or items that have been donated you might find this store interesting. Hubs found that his jeans needs to belong to someone who is lighter on the scale. Ahem... he didn't want to look at NR or R so he settled here. He found a few but decided on one pair priced at $12.49. I'll probably need to cut off and hem it for him. I tagged along so we could have lunch a few doors down. Once in a blue moon I'll come across an item for my Big Sky Bears collection or my winter village that come out during Christmas time but not today. However, I found a $1.99 orange drawstring bag I can use on our upcoming trip that I certainly use while outlet shopping or to pack a light jacket. I probably wouldn't want to be seen using it here. I figured I know only one pledge sister who lives in the Pacific Northwest so good enough since orange is an autumn color. I like it if I see items still new with original packaging on them. It's like one person's trash is another person's treasure. It's interesting to see what kind of items people will donate and someone else will gladly buy.

I'm a regular visitor of Savers, especially for their Waipahu location since I live close by. I am a bargain chaser and love the things I can find at thrift stores. This Savers always has good variety and soo many brand names to choose from that you won't be disappointed. Brands I've come acrosss include Michael Kors, Coach, Calvin Klein, Bebe, Victoria's Secret, PINK, Burberry, Disney, Abercrombie & Fitch, Volcom, Hurley, O'Neil, Obey, Juicy Couture, Aeropostle, Hawaii's Finest, Champion, Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, Crooks & Castles, Hinano, Ainofea, Defend Hawaii, Manuheali'i, Roxy and so much more. That's just a short list of brands I like to pay attention to. In the past I've purchased items for arts and crafts, costumes, kitchenware, decorations, work clothes, gym clothes, winter wear, books and collectables to name a few. They also have their jewelry and luxury items locked up in the front for you to view with the assistance of a sales associate. I also donate a lot to the store and in return they give you a discount flyer to use at check out that takes off 20% of your total bill. You can get this flyer every time you come and donate too! During special sales, they'll have different color code tags that will be up to 50% off for each day of the week and you can use your discount flyer on top of that to get an even better sales price over all. Dressing rooms are closed due to covid so if you purchase something and it doesn't fit, they give you 2 weeks to return any clothing items for store credit. They don't provide cash refunds. Their prices have gone way up over the years though to the point that they'll price things over their original price when these items were brand new. Even items that are brand name but look like trash will be priced like treasure. I've just learned how to avoid these by shopping for certain items elsewhere and only come during sale events or when I have a coupon to use but it's always a fun time rummaging through all the new items that stock the shelves daily. The parking lot is pretty big, but it can fill up when it's busy. I've always managed to find a stall close to the entrance though. They have shopping carts and baskets for you to use. The facility has AC and they play music while you shop so being here is very enjoyable. I recommend bringing your own reusable bag or they have plenty for sale. Paper bags are available too for 15 cents. If you're hungry, there's plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from that are both a short walk or drive away. I do recommend this store but I warn you all to watch the prices, check for authenticity and make sure the quality of the item is undamaged. Happy Thrifting!

Extremely overpriced. The prices here are almost the price of a brand new item. I would rather go to Goodwill or buy from amazon.

They took the time to explain the process clearly, set expectations, and treat his items with care. The store itself is clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully curated. Inventory is nicely displayed, prices are reasonable, and there is a good mix of brands and styles. It feels like a true community consignment shop rather than a chaotic resale rack. What really stands out is how respectful and empowering the experience was for a young entrepreneur. Tomás felt proud seeing his items on the floor and even prouder when they sold. Letting go of my treasures…read more.. As shopping at your local Goodwill you'll find some other's treasure. There comes a moment when I just need to purge to make room and create a relaxing space as though certainly not unwanted but items that has long been useful or needed and is in my opinion great items that hopefully will find home versus the landfill especially at reasonable cost. As the holiday seasons are slowly approaching is obvious with a section filled with Halloween decor and such items are a one time use it's nice to find price friendly deals. This Kapolei location is located on a road behind Costco amongst many industrial buildings and seems to be sharing the same lot with a school but since it was on a Sunday the parking lot was empty though filled with shoppers as many come here to shop and the donation drop off is the building right beside the store and is a very easy drop as a staff came up to me to help with the items. I had to give the shop a peek and see what they have and did find a small item that interested me and at the bargain price of $3.99 was amazing and will go into great use. Lots of clothing and seasonal items displayed making a great place to find options that are price friendly. Thank you!

Clear posted signage in the store about pricing and the daily color (which is 50% off). I docked stars because the store has posted signs for womens, mens, kids, etc but the racks themselves are so unorganized. Most of the clothes are off the hangers, tangled amongst themselves, or just in the wrong section. So much to look at but the racks are stuffed. I only noticed a small Target section, which is where outdated items go FYI, so that was disappointing. Would recommend if youre in the area but please note that lots of people shop here so the racks may be picked over.
