    Aloha shirts.
    Sandhya M.

We were hunting for Aloha shirts at a discount. We saw some shoppers in Costco wearing some and asked where they bought theirs and they recommended Treasure Seekers. Well let me tell you, we were not disappointed. Their selection was in the female category was sparse and the men's had a good enough selection to choose from. There was a vibrant blue that I loved however, it was only available in XL. My friend and I each got our shirt from the mens rack; they fit the torso longer than those on the female rack. The shirts were originally listed at $7.99 however, at the cash register we learned that they were 50% off! Scoooore! The ladies at the register were nice. When they learned that it was our first time in the store, they rang the bell and gave us a great big greeting complete with a small '1st time visitor token' which had a thank you note and a few peices of candy. We only went for the shirts so we didn't look around for much else but, from a quick glance, I could see a few treasures and small trinkets that would be great as gifts. The store is deep out in Waianae so that may be a detractor for some, especially tourists who typically stay around the touristy sites. But, it is right off Farrington Hwy so it's easy to find.

When driving to Ka'ena Point, it almost feels like you're at the end of the world. On our last adventure there, I noticed a little sign with the magic words thrift shop, and made an effort to stop on the way. The store is located north of Waianae where the road goes from 4 lanes to 2 in a little shopping center on the right. While most of the center is empty, a Long's is coming soon so it'll be more visible. Parking is plentiful. With the sign on the road, you'll also see colorful signs and lights beckoning you to the store. The entrance is actually inside; go down a long hallway and see the windows and doors. I was immediately struck by how clean and organized the store were. To the left of the entrance is the checkout counter with cases of small and valuable items. Clothing racks take up most of the store, with toys and household items to the right. I mostly came in because the sign also said collectibles, but didn't immediately see them. Only exploring did I see the large furniture section, and library of books, video games, and movies, and glass-doored bookshelves with collectibles! They have a great diverse selection. The staff here was extremely friendly and proud of their store. Profits benefit the local in-need community, who can apply for free items from the store. If you're stopping here, be sure to tell them it's your first time for a surprise!

Getting here was not the easiest when one lives on the east side of the island. I imagined it like Goonies in search to find this ship filled with treasures. When it gets to thrift stores, I get very excited as to what treasure I might find. Alexander was immensely excited to take his mom and I here. It finally took 5 tries to make it due to brush fires, traffic and most of all time was against us. After trying, it was surely worth the miles to get here. Treasure Seekers is located on the northern west side of Wai'anae at Makaha Marketplace. Parking is more than ample and free. A big sign on the front doors will help you find the entrance. However, the path doesn't there. Follow the pink and yellow sign pointing to the direction to the actual entrance. The entrance has window with bright lights and colorful decorations. I came inside the store with an open heart. There are a number of racks with clothes for women, men, and children's clothing mid center of the store. A special section filled with more vintage collection showcased inside a locked glass on the very left side of the store, one fitting room to the very right, a U-shaped pathway to many book shelves and DVD/VHS stacks. To the front is glass shelf for looking at jewelry, and consignment goods and the cash register. At the very back a plethora of furniture's is open for perusing. Ever where I turned, there was always something new to lay my eyes on. I recommend this place for all collectors alike, because you'll never know what you might find. For parents looking for children's toys, kids' books and fun costumes this is the place to be. The store is very organized, finding things easy to find. After a few minutes of walking around I found a few gently used designer clothing and a couple of unscratched DVDs'. I wouldn't have thought I'd find DVD's of my favorite movies of all time. With the DVD's being sealed, the cashier allowed me to inspect them before purchasing. It's fun to talk story with the cashier due to their friendliness. They make you feel like you are part of the ohana (family). If you're visiting for the first time, they ring a bell super loud for everyone in the store to hear. You're welcomed with a bag of candies while leaving the store with a good feeling. I walked out feeling accomplished and the drive coming here was worth it. I look forward to shopping here again. FYI's on discounts: -15% off Military Mondays -Fabulous Tuesdays for Seniors (55+) -50% Wednesdays -50% First Fridays, Saturdays of every month -Look for a sign on the current tag color and their rightful discounts

This was our first time visiting here, like others have said, tucked into the store. Happy with the prices, the staff were VERY friendly and let us know about specials pertaining to our specific purchase. Would for sure come back! Plus being a first time shopper they gave us a loud and warm welcome! Even someone from the back yelled "welcome!!"

May 23, 2015 Saturday on my day off from work I decided to play tourist and check out the stores located in the Makaha Marketplace right down the road from where I live. In order to access the Treasure Seekers Thrift Store & Collectibles a person must pass through the double doors that's facing the ocean. As soon as you enter the double doors Treasure Seekers Thrift Store & Collectibles is located straight ahead. There's going to be a big sign with it's name on the wall. Stepping into the thrift store I noticed at how majorly big the store is. There's clothing for babies, children, men and women. I noticed shoes, kitchen ware, furnitures, dressers, books, DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes, paintings, purses, office equipment, as well as motorized wheelchairs. There are a lot of items in this thrift store that an individual who loves to shop for used items can spend up to an hour or more just browsing through all the different items that this store has to offer. I took notice that there is a dressing room stall and a person is allowed 3 garments to try on. I took notice of a sign that was posted in multiple places. The sign had letters and certain letters are 35% off, 25 % off, and 10% off. Which ever item that a person chooses there's a letter above that priced item and the person will get a discount at the register. I took notice that this thrift store does accept Visa and MasterCard as payments. There are so many items to choose from at the Treasure Seekers Thrift Store & Collectibles...I may head back to the store and find something that sparks my interest. I also found out that people can donate unwanted household items to the thrift store during the hours of operation. That's good to know.

    My 25 cent find!
    Tiana A.

I picked up a small trinket for only 25 cents (it was half off day). While I wish I would've bought more, my suitcase couldn't fit anything else! A beautiful kept store. Everything was nice and organized. Staff was super friendly, and because it was our first time there.. we got a thank you gift! Lots of Aloha spirit for sure! The strip mall area it is located in looks a little rough, but make your way to the thrift store for a pleasant surprise!

Letting go of my treasures…read more.. As shopping at your local Goodwill you'll find some other's treasure. There comes a moment when I just need to purge to make room and create a relaxing space as though certainly not unwanted but items that has long been useful or needed and is in my opinion great items that hopefully will find home versus the landfill especially at reasonable cost. As the holiday seasons are slowly approaching is obvious with a section filled with Halloween decor and such items are a one time use it's nice to find price friendly deals. This Kapolei location is located on a road behind Costco amongst many industrial buildings and seems to be sharing the same lot with a school but since it was on a Sunday the parking lot was empty though filled with shoppers as many come here to shop and the donation drop off is the building right beside the store and is a very easy drop as a staff came up to me to help with the items. I had to give the shop a peek and see what they have and did find a small item that interested me and at the bargain price of $3.99 was amazing and will go into great use. Lots of clothing and seasonal items displayed making a great place to find options that are price friendly. Thank you!

Great location tucked off the main roadway in Kapolei. Big parking lot, the entire store looks on…read morethe newer side. Staff are super friendly. Clear posted signage in the store about pricing and the daily color (which is 50% off). I docked stars because the store has posted signs for womens, mens, kids, etc but the racks themselves are so unorganized. Most of the clothes are off the hangers, tangled amongst themselves, or just in the wrong section. So much to look at but the racks are stuffed. I only noticed a small Target section, which is where outdated items go FYI, so that was disappointing. Would recommend if youre in the area but please note that lots of people shop here so the racks may be picked over.
