Letting go of my treasures... As shopping at your local Goodwill you'll find some other's treasure. There comes a moment when I just need to purge to make room and create a relaxing space as though certainly not unwanted but items that has long been useful or needed and is in my opinion great items that hopefully will find home versus the landfill especially at reasonable cost. As the holiday seasons are slowly approaching is obvious with a section filled with Halloween decor and such items are a one time use it's nice to find price friendly deals. This Kapolei location is located on a road behind Costco amongst many industrial buildings and seems to be sharing the same lot with a school but since it was on a Sunday the parking lot was empty though filled with shoppers as many come here to shop and the donation drop off is the building right beside the store and is a very easy drop as a staff came up to me to help with the items. I had to give the shop a peek and see what they have and did find a small item that interested me and at the bargain price of $3.99 was amazing and will go into great use. Great location tucked off the main roadway in Kapolei. Big parking lot, the entire store looks on the newer side. Staff are super friendly. Clear posted signage in the store about pricing and the daily color (which is 50% off). I docked stars because the store has posted signs for womens, mens, kids, etc but the racks themselves are so unorganized. Most of the clothes are off the hangers, tangled amongst themselves, or just in the wrong section. So much to look at but the racks are stuffed. I only noticed a small Target section, which is where outdated items go FYI, so that was disappointing. Would recommend if youre in the area but please note that lots of people shop here so the racks may be picked over. read more

We check out this location at least once a month for things like puzzles, art, sports bottles, luggage etc. No use buying everything new when some items that are gently used are available. This isn't the largest on the island however they can fulfill needs part of the time. Staff is friendly and store is clean. We also donated puzzle back to them for resale. read more

I happened to be here a few days before Halloween and noticed a bunch of Halloween coloring books and thought it would be a great idea to give out the the little ones for Halloween. I was able to purchase 75 books and it was a huge hit to the parents as I gave them out, as for the kids, not so much, most of them gave me a look of disappointment until I finally gave them candies too. haha. I have been cleaning house and donating to Goodwill Hawaii in Kapolei for a long time. It just so happened that one day after donating, a staff member mentioned to me something peculiar. Someone had donated a preserved wedding dress, still in the box. It was fate. It was my size and I was looking for a dress! I was able to try it on and LOVED it. Two of the staff members helped me open the box and try it. The staff here are so helpful. Usually they help me to get my donations in. This time around, they helped me find my wedding dress! Thank you Kapolei Goodwill! You helped this coupon clipper find a great deal and save money! Nobody believed me about getting my dress here because well...i looked great! My girls found clothes to make the total $46 so I handed the cashier a $50 and she refused to accept it. I I could understand if I used a bigger bill like $100 seeing as how they don't accept bills larger than $20 but she still refused and insisted on me using a card or in her words "look for smaller bills". Luckily my kids were not in dire need of the clothes so I was able to walk away but there are other people who aren't so fortunate and they didn't think to "only carry $20 bills?" They would have to go without? I think the people that work there forget they are there to help the community. read more

It's always great to go thrift shopping; you never know what treasures you'll find. This location is one of our favorites, but least frequented due to its remote location. It's a short drive from the Target shopping center in Kapolei, but would be an inconvenient walk or bus ride. This location is a large donation and distribution center, as well as a job site. The store is kept super clean and organized; it's been recently rearranged. Like all the Goodwill Stores, here you'll find a wide array of home goods, clothing, toys, etc. Goodwill also buys out clearance merchandise from Target and other stores, so you'll find these reasonably priced items as well. The store has restrooms and fitting rooms. Selection here can be a little lacking, but that can change on each visit. If you're an avid thrifter, it's worth the trip. read more

Never shopped in here but the staff here make it very easy to drop off our donations. Like that they are open 7 days a week! Located in the Kapolei industrial area. This is the closest one to our home, so convenient! We just drive up curbside and they usually have those big rolling bins out near the curb and we just unload all our bags & boxes of donations, the attendant gives us a receipt and we jump back in the vehicle and we're off! Pretty easy and painless! read more

Came here to drop off some old clothes&heels. I had a difficult time finding the place. Thank God for GPS. LOL* Doesn't look like you typical GoodWill from the road but when you pull up, your like oooooh okay. For a New GoodWill its really ugly. I'm not sure its because its a second hand store? There was only like 2 workers inside. Not friendly at all, probally just working there out of probation or because they just finished drug rehab. (Cuz yanoe Goodwill has that apprenticeship program with those types of programs to let people that have fallen get bac,k on their feet again and into society.) Anyways, it was somewhat organized I've seen better run thirft stores. Okay overall but I think I'm gona stick to donating my clothes to savers instead. We come here all the time and for the first time my daughter who is five had an upset stomach and Gail the acting manager at the time said we could not use the restroom because she said if she let us others would think it's ok. She wouldn't make the exception even when I said she could not hold it and that we might just have to go outside since it was an emergency. Gail told me that is my personal choice. Gail is an awful human being and I can tell she doesn't have kids I hope that when she does kind people make an exception for her and her future offspring. read more

One of my favorite things to do with materials that I no longer want/need is to donate back to our community. We moved to Makakilo about a year ago and this is our first time at the Kapolei Goodwill! I used to donate clothes, books, purses etc almost every month back when I lived in Kaneohe. This year has been HECTIC and it was so nice to deep clean my home and give away to Goodwill especially with Christmas coming up fast. I had about two big boxes full of books taking up space and I finally went this past weekend to donate it to Goodwill. It was very easy to find (kind of next to Costco) and when we went around 3:30 on a Saturday it wasn't too busy. Drove up to the front and dropped off our boxes of books. My friends and I came all the way out to Kapolei to go thrifting here. What did we find? Barely anything. First things first, when we entered he place, we were greeted with a lovely smell of... what was that...? was it... feces? I'm not sure what it was but it did not smell good. Is there a bathroom by the entrance? Maybe that's the culprit? I'll never know. This Goodwill is so tiny compared to other places like Savers Kalihi. There were literally only two racks of t-shirts. Very disappointing. My friends and I each bought one item. Don't come here if you are looking for a worthwhile thrifting experience. Savers at any location will treat you better. read more

The location is new to me. I'm rarely on this side of the island, but since I was here I decided to shop for a Halloween costume. There selection was limited for costumes, but I figured that they would have more as the date approaches. I didn't find what I wanted on the racks, but as we were leaving my girlfriend spotted a costume on the display Mannequin. We were in a rush to catch a movie, but we chatted with a sales representative as we left and inquired about the item. She told us that she would promise to save the outfit for me if we returned be the store closes at 7pm. As promised the item was there when I returns. She was very helpfully and friendly. Hidden away in the Campbell industrial area. This is an awesome Goodwill. A regular donator is Target believe it or not! I often see a lot of things donated from Target that are brand new that end doesn't sell there so is brought here. Goodwill is very reasonable on a lot of their stuff. I I donate at least once every 3 months. I like to give back to the community and do my share. At all the Goodwill there's new things that come I love the new feature that they have with the discount card you get points to use to purchase for future visits. Goodwill is a place where you can find hidden treasure, hidden gems. Looking for something specific that you don't see anymore ? you might just be in luck if you visit a good will store. At this Goodwill location there's one restroom and you have to provide ID before getting the key. The bathroom is clean! I love this Goodwill. read more

Found so much good quality stuff here I forgot to take good pictures! As always you can find things brand new from other stores. Lots of Ross and Target tags on the clothes and items here. Always stop by thrift stores for household items before hitting those big box stores. It's tucked away nicely in the Campbell Industrial park but still gets a lot of traffic. This location also has a Donation Center so new items get quickly processed and shelved almost immediately. They do not accept beds or bed frames so I scored a brand new frame unopened from a nice family who was donating furniture items. Staff here is very friendly and helpful. There's a gender neutral toilet available for shoppers if you give up your ID for collateral. read more

Worse customer service EVER! I called the first time to ask if they have an item in stock and the person who answers tells me to call back because he couldn't help me. I listened, called back and asked the Melissa the same question and she tells me that they have all sizes and colors in stock. I asked Melissa if they had a specific color and size in stock and she immediately tells me, "NO!" So I know she didn't TRY to look because first she tells me they MIGHT have and then she tells me they DON'T have. I can't stand it when people take jobs in customer service when they don't want to SERVE THE CUSTOMERS! read more

Drop-offs are easy and the volunteers and employees I've met back there are some of the most genuinely kind and upbeat people I've ever seen working a thankless job. However, the female employees inside the store itself gave me and everyone else who came in the, "up and down" looks and would throw suspicious glances my way. Did they think I was going to stuff my handbag with merchandise? Maybe because I didn't look "poor?" Or because I had my toddler with me? I'm not entirely sure. It was kinda rude, but again, this is probably a thankless job. The store is kind of small, the book selection being muuuuuch smaller than the Goodwill off Waialae. Tons of baby and kids stuff, as well as some great deals on home items. At least the store was clean-ish. The Waialae one is better. read more

I had to wait for a friend who was coming to Kapolei, so I decided to check out the newest Goodwill store in hopes of finding records. The location is very nice, located in a multipurpose complex. The store isn't the biggest one but it is very organized (maybe because it hasn't been open very long). I'm surprised at the selection at Goodwill. The record section wasn't very big but I did find a few 45's that I added to my collection. And they are always having a sale or special. My records were half off the day I went. Yes the items are donated from locals trying to get rid of unwanted stuff, but one mans trash might be the record I want for my collection. And it's for a good cause! Be a blessing! read more

Never knew this location existed and I live in kapolei, lol. Not near the shopping centers or main roads. Well worth the find though. I always find something good. Way cheaper than Savers! All the books I find are $0.99 and sometimes I get lucky with the colored tag for half off. Sometimes they have double colored tags too which is always a plus. The cashier is always friendly and every time I go the place is clean. They are always having half off sales for the furniture which is awesome even though most of the pieces are old because I love DIY projects! I would have given 5 stars but they do not have shopping carts here so I have to carry my son and it kinda limits my time :( hoping they have carts soon so I can take my time shopping without worrying my son will break loose from me and break something! read more

Went there yesterday to look around and when I went to cashier my things got rung up incorrectly which still today I still didn't get refunded to my account.
