I had an order pick up today around $100.00. The Walmart employee put my bags in my backseat of the car. When, I got home I realized toilet paper was missing, scrubbing bubbles, Aussie Shampoo/Conditioner, large container of cat treats, trash bags and three cans of cat food. I called the store and told them that I had missing items. The pick up customer service, said the person who delivers to parking lot, had to check off every item. She said let me look into this, called me back and said it was my word against him and told me to call Walmart.com. I did and they are reimbursing me for the items, but will never do Walmart pick up again. I will go to Target which has more class and even can have Starbucks delivered to my car. read more

I walked in today and I had questions about where to make a return. The greeter was sitting on her chair just chit chatting away with some lady (it looked like maybe this lady also worked there) who was talking about her kids and school and covid and etc. Both of these women looked at me several times during this conversation and made no acknowledgment of the fact that I was clearly standing there and waiting to ask a question. Omg this Walmart is so ghetto. This is a smaller Walmart, so don't expect to do your full shopping here. The merchandise is scarce and scattered. The customers and employees are rude AF. I had the "security guard" up front stop me one time while I was 8 months pregnant to check my bag and the receipt. Um, excuse me, do I look like someone who's going to steal?! You need to be stopping that questionable person right there who's walking right passed me. My family lives nearby and I come here for the convenience if I forget something. I found an item on clearance and went to ring up and it had a label and the price for 3 dollars and it rang up 4.97, i said mam its not ringing up right she said well i guess its not on clearance anymore. Customers be aware!!! Do NOT opt to return your purchase via curbside. I parked, notified the store via the app that I was at the store, and a customer service representative came out. I handed her a Tramontina frying pan and showed her the barcode but she said she didn't need to scan it. That is the only evidence as a customer that the return is made so I asked her again. Yet again, she said she didn't need it and walked into the store. Of course the Walmart app is not updated with the return so I contacted customer service and they stated that the store will contact me directly. 2 weeks later, crickets. read more

If I could give this craphole of a location negative stars I would. I'm gladly paying higher prices at Target because the people that work here have zero interest in staying employed, and have no interest in helping me in any way. The photo printer has ruined my orders two times. And to get any customer service or cancel my order was like trying to find the Holy Grail. Walmart does not have to be the Sesspool of poor service and crappy attitudes combined with services that don't work. It could actually be successful. But they will never again get my money. I used to come to this Walmart even though it was a little farther because it was reasonably clean. Recently I needed to return a couple of items and was told that returns are only until 6pm even thought the store is open until 10pm. This was news to me. The employee told me that I should have seen the new return hours on their website. Was I supposed to know that I needed to check the website and that they had changed their hours for returns? The hours are not posted in-store. Terrible management. Addendum: I returned the next day to return my items. There is only one person working the returns. A lot of employees walking around the counter. There are 8 people in line. I have been waiting for 20 minutes and am the 4th person. As I was writing this, the line has expanded to 12 people. I rarely go to Wal Mart because it's a drive from where I live. I recently went to buy some stuff & had to return something, so I go and the lady at customer service says they close at 6 so I can't return stuff. Keep in mind the store is open until 10 PM. Walmart is terrible, went to this location but even the customer reps by chat and phone were terrible - their website states the return policy and apparently it is not required to be followed. What kind of team huddles do you all have with your staff? "Hey, the policy says we do returns , but don't do any! This is a typical Walmart but definitely cleaner and better organized than the other Torrance location near Normandie Ave and 190th St. They have a good selection of products and checkout lines aren't too bad. It's not overly crowded like the other Torrance Walmart location. Prices are good but they just don't have any fresh fruits, vegetables, etc. read more

Employees here are the the worst. Always a lot of people "working" but no one is helpful, they are all grumpy and can't be bothered to do anything for a customer. In a couple short years, this Walmart has taken a tremendous dive. This used to be such a great store. Now the only things getting rolled-back is the customer service, competent personnel, management and leadership. This store is so ghetto it's not even funny. Walmart is Walmart but don't advertise so openly that you enforce social distancing and that your staff wears masks of you don't. It's difficult to expect a place like Walmart to adhere to social distancing solely because of the customers but the staff needs to get with the program. I went in yesterday and saw at least half of the staff wearing their masks under their noses like idiots. Service is no where to be found. Calling for hours and no one answers the phone. Seems there isn't anyone that can give you clear information about your orders and grocery pick ups. It's just frustrating to not get answers or even to be steered in the right direction. I asked the walmart greeter a question (yellow jacket wearing employee) if they have any baskets available (because apparently this Walmart does not have any) and she said that "we only have the shopping carts". And to make sure there is no confusion I asked again: "you don't have any hand baskets?" (In my head:Because I've never heard of a Walmart that doesn't have hand baskets). And she said with attitude "no we don't" with an awkward pause in between her response and mine. I gave this lady no reason for her to talk to me like that for one. And two, I even said "excuse me mam" to get her attention. it's not like she wasn't talking to anyone else at the moment. I understand that it's a Walmart and I shouldn't expect the "best ever" customer service. But based off the other reviews and what I have experienced today. There's a certain standard that you have to upkeep in customer service. And this Walmart is below that standard at the moment, it seems. And it really all comes down on management, and it shows that they are not doing their job. Either step up your management or keep getting flak from other people and go down in flames. This is the worst Walmart to go to. They are so lazy and inconsiderate. I work and get off work late sometimes. This location claims they close at 10pm but if you get there 10 minutes before 10pm they will literally lock the door in your face. I had this experience multiple times. Once I needed an emergency supply for my 14 month old baby but they refused to let me in at 9:40pm. The manager at that location is worse. She came out when I requested to see her and had the audacity to say her team is tired and wants to go home, hence they close a few minutes before 10pm. If they close that early why not reflect that on their business hours online. Horrible customer service, rude staff, from the security man at the door to the manager. This woman's service was way too good for Walmart .... she was sweet, friendly, talkative and just patient. These 5 stars are strictly for her. Not even attempting to help a customer with a minor issue and trying to shoo them (and I'm putting this nicely) out of the store is ridiculous. One of thee, (if not thee), worst Walmart's I have ever been in. Period. And I've been to some of those "People you see in Walmart" meme type Walmart's!!! While I believe this is only the second time I've been in this particular store, I can assure you one thing... It was the same low life piece of crap both times I've gone in. Yeah... I understand it IS a Walmart but really, WTF??? This store is disorganized, dirty, has a piss poor selection and is really small, (by Walmart standards). I usually go in to a Walmart for sporting goods and / or camping gear when in a pinch but not this time... Went in this time with the wifey, (again), looking for some baby goods and was utterly disappointed. Aisles are clogged with $hit on the floor that people have torn from the shelves, there are half open boxes of merchandise on every shelf, I even saw dirty diapers in the aisles. EWWWW!!! You name it, and if it's bad, they got it. Thought I would need an effin' tetanus shot on the way out!!! If they would have had 'em, I would of got one. But... like most of the rest their merch, I was told they were all sold out... Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Instead, I'll stick with the Gardena location. The inventory here is really disappointing! I came looking for a new microwave and they literally had 4 or 5 to choose from. Out of those, 3 were dormitory size, 1 was the perfect size and looked nice, and the last one was big, ugly and expensive. After looking at all of them and comparing it to the one that I needed to replace, only one of them fit my criteria. But guess what??? They were out of them! They had plenty of the tiny microwaves that were big enough for a burrito or maybe a cup of soup, but that was it. I even looked at that big, ugly monstrosity and considered that one, but it wasn't worth the price, considering it's appearance. We looked around to try to find someone who worked here, but there was no one in sight. Disappointing! Besides that, the return line was long as hell and would have made me turn around and go home, but I was thanking my lucky stars that I didn't have anything to return. Parking was fairly quick and easy, but this Walmart is definitely on the smaller side. They do not have everything that you may need and it almost defeats the purpose of even stopping here, because you end up having to go to another store, anyway. read more

I have no idea why I keep giving this Wal-Mart a second, third, and fourth chance. Whenever I shop here, my list is never complete. This is a very small store compared to the others. Their cosmetic section is one aisle, toy section is two aisles, and why is there an abundant amount of sunblock here?! Like, a crazy amount! There is a grocery section but I don't see the point because this isn't a regular sized store. Minus the grocery section because there are other markets around the area and add the rest of the other departments that are lacking, ie: COSMETICS, and this store can be banging. Well, for me at least. I'm sure for you ladies as well. Their toiletries department isn't great either. I couldn't find my lotion, shampoo, and conditioner. These are all mainstream items, guys. So business people are saying that crime has increased in Torrance ever since Walmart moved into the area. I don't know if that's true but that seems to be the rumor going around. I used to never shop here but have been a few times to pick up a few household items since it's so close to where I live. The prices do seem to be less than other major chains but then it just seems to be one step below Target. And yet, Target doesn't seem to draw the type of crowd that Walmart does for some reason. I've been here four times since its opening, I've observed followings: Good: Site-store pick-up was easy peasy lemon squeezy. Got a good roller-back pack for my kid under $30, no shipping. Helpful employees on some days. Ok place for picking up household items and school supplies. A teacher can always use a ream of paper. Cleaner store compare with the one on 190th. Bad: Self-check. The price isn't as good if u consider the work u r doing. Employee who does nothing but stares into the void, despite there are ppl needed help with the self-check machines which often pause for no reason. Some ppl have no patience for this self-check, why we never got trained for how to handle groceries. Limited inventories. Twice I went there, no rice crispy and salt/vinegar chips. They don't stock the latter one it seems. Isles are small for cart. On the opening day, this was causing problems. read more

I guess City of Torrance didn't want Wal-Mart to take away business from Rite-Aid, Target, CVS...because their selection is severely limited. Also, the aisles were half empty. I needed hand soap - the cheapest one on sale was ALL GONE. I needed toothpaste and they did not have the one I wanted which was a whitening one. Yes, their prices are a bit cheaper though. This place is semi-clean. Not ghetto and there is plenty of parking (I suggest parking by the "closed" entrance for easier exiting.) Funny, there was this kid outside selling candy bars. A nice couple leaving asked him how much and when he told them, the wife said (with attitude) "$3 for a candy bar?!?" The kid said (with fake sadness) "It is my last one." Then, the husband laughed and said "You expect us to believe that?" Really LOL because I totally laughed out loud for a few seconds. My point, the people here are smart. That kid should go solicit at the Harbor Gateway location. read more

Walmart is the worst. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE and expect hassle free returns. I purchased a kitchen aid online with the help of a walmart store associate. Unfortunately, a mini and not classic arrived. I checked on the walmart receipt how to return and it said to take with receipt to Walmart. I took it to the Hawthorne location. After a 35 minute wait in line, I am told they don't accept walmart market place returns. When I asked for a manager, she was rude and said they can't take because their label printer has been down a month. Now I have to find a way to return this, but guarantee I will NEVER order from walmart again. Lousy service, rude employees, clearly rolls down from the top. read more

I use to love this location but it's not the same. This location was great becus not too many people knew about it and it was one of the cleanest Walmarts around. Even though this store is small and didn't carry as much stuff as a regular size store, It use to be good. The last couple of times I've been here the store has been junky/ dirty. I know most Walmarts are junky/ dirty because of all the people that walk thru the store but this store is getting worse. Website says open until 11pm - which is wrong. Just went down there and it closes at 10pm.

If it wasn't for Power 106, I would have waited for the another week and a half to check this Walmart out. Work is a few feet away and I had an hour or two before clocking in, it was the perfect time. This Walmart is located around a very busy area, very very busy! Fresh & Easy, Subway, Chili's, and Chick-fil-a are to the North, Del Amo Mall is to the East and Toys-r-us, Fye, another shopping plaza to the South. With this visit, I was able to park the minute I drove in but with Walmart, I was definitely lucky. There wasn't too much traffic jam around the lot, but it was a weekday. The store is very spacious! From the isles to the registers and everything in between. However, I found that the section between the road to the sliding door entrance/exit, narrows towards the store. I happened to walk in with two other people, and it crowded the area. I can only imagine holiday season with ten people and with carts! It will definitely not be pretty! The biggest disappointed was the cosmetics section! I realize now that I am accustomed to having two or three isles of just makeup. I find real joy walking around, looking at ingredients and compare & contrast, I couldn't here. :[ It was also strange that they did not have Black Radiance makeup but Milani makeup instead. Milani is usually found at Target. Perplexed would be the adjective to describe my experience! The place was spacious but the isles were narrow. They did not have the brand I go specifically to Walmart for. I hope that, not all is final and they are still trying to figure out the best flow for the store.
