Well, here we are another bad Walmart review. On 06/09/2015 I ventured into Walmart to buy myself an ice chest for camping, went through the cashier in the garden department. Then was unhappily greeted by the security guard checking receipts in the garden department (does not work for Walmart). Instead of saying may I please see your receipt it turned into let me see your receipt (now attitude), my first response because he is being a horses ass, where is it posted that you check receipts? His response with my girlfriend and my 3 year old son standing there, I am tired of you fucking people if you do not want to show me your receipt leave and never come back. What is this world coming to, I am tired of being treated like an ass, my philosophy in life if you act like an ass you are going to get the wrath of even a meaner son of a bitch. As I was walking to my car there were words exchanged from both parties neither one of us being pleasant at this point I will admit my faults but hey he did not need to cuss in front of my son, who is 3 and everyone knows a 3 year old kid repeats everything. I called and talked to the management (Marcy?) I could have heard her name wrong and told her what happened, when I met her out by the security guard she said well I know this guy and he has never been rude or done anything like this before you can leave and I will take care of this, what is wrong with this picture. My girlfriend called and talked to an Alex we will be calling the store manager RJ tomorrow, I don't want the guy fired I just want him to apologize to my family, and from here on out STOP TREATING PEOPLE LIKE ASSES. read more

Their selections (on food) are so random. On one visit I really had to try very hard to sift through the carb selection that kept staring me straight in the eye at the end of each isle. It was the worst, and by worst i mean top notch, on how and why Americans are dealing with so many weight issues as well as diabetes. Needless to say, I did end up purchasing at least 5 items that were of no nutritional value at all, simply because Walmart plays on your impulsive and the tempationous ways that the marketers have perfected. In any case, if i'm buying food I will most likely go to the food store that is very near to Walmart. And visit Walmart when i need Auto Oil, Fishing line, Toilet paper or hygiene stuffs. I might get milk from there tho if i am already in store. As for the rest of the store their selection seems large, but that is due in part to the size of the store which is that of stupid big. Lots and lots of wasted space, plays well into what Walmart is mostly about; Waste. The dollar store holds the top rank in that department. Sales staff, what sales staff, they have people to "face" the items and make a general appearance. They do know, however, where most items are, so that's a good thing. I gave it the 2 star rating because there's another Walmart not too far away that has a much more pleasant environment that this one in particular. The other Walmart gets a 3 star rating. read more

Two weeks ago, my girlfriend and I were buying groceries at the Redding, Ca. Walmart. Included in the items I that was purchasing, was beer. The clerk asked me for my ID. Now, it is true, I am a handsome, virile, bastard, but I AM 57 YEARS OLD! I have not looked under 21 in close to 40 years! Still, I reached in my wallet and provided the clerk with my ID. without a fuss. She thanked me, and then had the audacity to ask my girlfriend for her ID!!! My girlfriend is 52!!! Because my girlfriend was not carrying her ID...I COULD NOT BUY BEER!!! That is ridiculous beyond words!!! No, that is NOT California law!!! That is a TOTALITARIAN, despicable, Walmart policy. They are ASSUMING a crime!! They are ASSUMING that a person will buy alcohol and then provide to someone underage!! THINK ABOUT THAT FLAWED LOGIC!! By that way of thinking...guns, knives, paint, baseball bats, and tons of other products should not be sold...because they could be used illegally. When I complained to store mamagement...they were rude and the had the audacity to defend this indefensible policy. Fuckin' Walmart, man. It's like the mothership of White Trash America. Some old greeter at the front repeating pointlessly, "How ya doin', buddy? How's it going'? Welcome to Walmart." Like he knows me, man. Big-ass women beating their little kids in the aisles; zombie employees dressed in blue, swooning from low blood sugar because they can't afford to buy food (even at Walmart); everyone in the checkout line buying throw-away shit by the cart-full that they think they need. I'm giving Wal-Mart grocery pick-up one star due to the whiny mask pulled down shrew that brought my groceries out. She was bitching about her day as she approached my vehicle and never stopped. I told her items had been added that I didn't order. (Not substitutions) when I asked for them to be removed she got mad and said. I already sent it through and got increasingly angry. The older gentleman assisting her stepped in and said don't worry we'll fix it. Her attitude just compounded my anger that she was handling my groceries maskless spreading her germs and viruses onto every item in my order. I have a serious lung disease making my immunocompromised and she and Wal-Mart put my life at risk with her disregard for me and other customers. She wasn't the only one going maskless and loading groceries I saw a somewhat large tall guy 20's to 30's doing the same. I order my groceries this way to make me safer not put myself at risk due to these employees carelessness. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. It appears the lack of helpful employees there is the least of that stores problems. I was there today looking to buy shotgun shells. I was told their manager decided to stop selling any ammunition. I voiced my dissapointmment and left. The more I think about this, the more concerned I become. What makes that store manager decide to help stamp out our Second amendment rights? Does he realize he is living in the USA and not some failed liberal Communist utopian country? Did this manager come from the liberal bay area and does he realize he is disenfranchising the majority of his customer base here in Shasta county? Apparently the Anderson store understands this and sells ammunition. I moved out of Redding/state mid July 2020 and am home visiting. I needed a few items that I couldn't bring on the plane and stopped at Walmart to grab them. I was appalled by all the obvious druggie/criminal vagrants that were lined up out front of the store and by the general cleanliness of the store itself. What happened to the security that you had keeping check of that situation? Did your company decide they were no longer needed? I will not be returning to this store location and feel that its almost criminal that not only your customers, but your employees have to deal with that daily. read more

The first time my husband and I came to this Walmart, we parked and we were promptly greeted by a shirtless homeless man. He yelled at us for a pen. We didn't even get out of the car. We went across the road to Costo. The second attempt, we were walking around in circles absolutely lost. I guess that's a good thing, they've got lots of departments... But it became a little ridiculous. We got to the back corner of the store and it reeked of weed. We haven't tried again. But it IS Redding, so that's that. read more

Today I decided I will no longer be doing my grocery shopping here. My family and I will only come here for household items. This Wal Mart is huge, but it really sucks. They are always out of everything I need as far as groceries. The prices are not reasonable any more. I remember buying the great value butter for $2.50 and its now almost $4. Dirty. Crowded. Walmart. What more can I say? The bathrooms are pretty gross. The prices are low as usual though, so I guess it has that going. I wouldn't use the auto center again if you paid me. Tweaker villa! Poor management, unsanitary, and unsafe for families! It's a place where everyone's a number and every customer gets whatever they get even though it might not be good for them. Surprised so many people have not gotten ill from the stores sanitary protocols that are not being followed. The store has the worst employee turnover rate for unemployment due to poor management. read more

This is the grossest Walmart ever. They let people walk there dogs around in there and pee on things. (I use to train dogs) these are NOT SD or SDiT. The people that shop there are awful, I wasn't sure if I was in Deliverance or Oakland. I must have waited 20 mins for help to get baby formula. read more
