Possibly the worst TJMAXX I've been to. None of the clothes were in the correct sizing section.

I always love shopping at The Maxx. However, it seems like the pressure to sign up for their credit card has gotten out of hand. The persistence was so extreme that the cashier (I think a manager) scanned a 25$ product twice because she was so focused on convincing me to sign up for a credit card. I was uncomfortable and just wanted to leave. Needing to say more than one "No thank-you" seems excessive. Please consider toning it down a notch. read more

I am giving one star for my experience even though the I enjoy shopping at the Maxx and looking for good buys and I do not have any complaints about the cashiers who have almost always been very pleasant and helpful. My issue is with the handling of the merchandise. When I got home the two tops I purchased were so completely wrinkled that I barely recognized them. The cashiers make no attempt to routinely fold clothing they simply wad it up and stuff it into a bag. In all my years of shopping I have never found my clothing purchase to be so horribly wrinkled. This careless handling of merchandise is inexcusable and disrespectful to the customer. I'm guessing management could care less in this discount environment, therefore in future I will fold the clothing myself and then let the cashier put it in the bag. read more

They have the worst customer service I've ever encountered. I only bought this shirt 3 days ago. There return policy clearly says up to 30 days. The manger had the audacity to tell me it was "worn" and "smelled" when I had only tried it on once. The shirt was way to big for me. On the side from that this shirt was on the clearance rack and only cost 6$. So not only is the customer always right they denied my return over 6$. Wow company really must be broke and don't care about their customers at all. read more

This location is a joke. After standing in line watching the 1 girl helping and the 2 chubby ones talking and not helping anyone.....2 other customers walked out of line and left. I called the store and heard the phone ring, watched a fat blonde lady answer..,...I asked if they could get more cashiers to help...I was told sure by the lady....she then hung up and went back to talking to her fellow cashier and didn't help anyone....I walked out....what a moron in charge!!!! read more

One of my favorite stores. Why? Home items & shoes. 1- Inexpensive- maybe not as cheap as R__s but WAY cleaner & shorter checkout and higher end selection. Worth paying the extra dollar. 2- Amazing bargains. Cynthia Rowley vase normally eighty marked to three? Thank-you! Work-out shoes for twenty? Almost unheard of! 3- My go to for: Towels, lamps, decor, Xmas stuff, gifts, shampoo, sunglasses 4- New items- I check in every 3 weeks or so. It's boring to go to stores that have the same thing month after month. 5- Consistently friendly checkout- how often does that happen? I am a Rae Dunn shopper. Every morning myself, and several others show up early to see what we can find. But this store has the most ridiculous rules. The store will not put out the new Rae Dunn merchandise unless Brett the manager is there. And let's talk about Brett for a moment. He will not acknowledge us shoppers. We have asked several times, if there is not going to be any new Rae Dunn merchandise, please let us know. We have suggested a note on the door, he has done nothing to help solve this issue or even compromise. Many of us are outside waiting for 2 plus hours. Yesterday morning was what really upset me. Brett unlocked the doors to the store since it was time to open and didn't say anything about there being no new merchandise. We had to go find an associate to tell us if there was no merchandise for the day. For a manager he is not very nice to the public, many of us shop there at Tj Maxx for other things as well. Not just Rae Dunn. I personally cannot wait for Homegoods and Marshall's to open, because I will not be back to the TJ Maxx. read more

Let me start by saying I rarely leave a negative review and love TJMaxx as a store and concept. This location has a 4/5 on selection in my opinion, but the staff... the new cashier Landon was unbelievably helpful and friendly and I really appreciate his customer service. However, I've never had such a shady experience with a manager (who's name I found out is Stacey). I had two items without price tags. One a kettle bell with a bottom missing 3 of the rubber feet making it unstable and slippery plus it was not in any packaging and didn't have a tag. I have a rubber appliqué I can add at home, no problem but it is extra work and money I pay for materials to get it back to SAFE working order. I showed the cashier and mentioned it was damaged. Every time I happen to grab a damaged item at TJ or Home Goods they offer a small discount which makes me feel like I'm still getting a deal. This manager told Landon I could not get a damaged discount and when she gave it back to him the last rubber foot had been removed. She gave him another kettlebell with the price tag and labeling and this one was damaged too, but all the rubber feet were gone! So she wanted him to claim neither were damaged because somehow the rubber foot on the kettlebell I was going to purchase disappeared while in her possession. I showed it to the cashier and we looked for it and couldn't find it which leads me to believe she did something to it while it was in her possession. AND the price quote for the mascara is $7.99 for one when no others were $7.99? All of the other mascaras were $3.99. She never talked to me directly and I was calm and respectful the whole time. I still purchased $60+ worth of goods. As a manager you should want to make any potential issue right with your customers and not ignore them. I would have been happy to hear your justification of why you made your decisions without leaving a negative review. Shame on you Stacey for taking advantage of your shoppers and deceiving them then putting your cashier in the middle! read more

Allow me to begin by saying I am, and have been a frequent customer of this (Redding, CA) and other TJX locations for years. I have never encountered such horrible customer service and blatant disrespect from staff in any establishment as I did last night (11/25/15). The associate I had the "pleasure" of meeting was named Mariah and was working in the fitting room department. Here is a short version of my experience in your business. I found a garment on the rack in too large a size but wanted to try it on anyway, while in the fitting area I spotted the same garment in the correct size on what appeared to be a return rack still on the sales floor. When I inquired with the fitting room associate, Mariah, she informed me that it was already spoken for and that the customer was still waiting to try it on but was no longer in the store. Somewhat of an odd story in my opinion. Nonetheless, Mariah continued on to tell me she could take my name and I could call back In a few days to see if the garment was still available. Not quite worth that much effort to me... I returned to the racks to hopefully find my size. After another 45 minutes of browsing unsuccessfully I returned to the fitting area to try a few more items, only to find the desired garment, untouched and on the same return cart. Naturally while purchasing my other items I again inquired with the cashier about the status of the garment I was interested in. I also informed her of my previous interaction with Mariah at the fitting rooms as well as the particular exchange of information to avoid any potential confusion. The cashier, unable to answer my question, deferred to Mariah subsequently calling her up to the register. Mariah approached the counter angrily placed both hands down, rolled her eyes in disgust at me, then proceeded to, in the third person and most disrespectful manner, explain to the cashier, not to me, that I was ",already informed of the status of the garment that it was spoken for and unavailable for purchase." Taken aback by her lack of candor, I responded that the item was simply still on the sales floor and seemed to have been forgotten, I was simply interested in purchasing the item if at all possible. Mariah then proceeded to raise her voice to inform me that it was to be her mothers garment... Obviously I requested the name of the manager as well as the involved associates. I'm uncertain of TJ Maxx employment policy but withholding un purchased product and responding to item inquiries with the utmost disrespect and malice towards your customers doesn't seem like a model for success. If this associate retains her employment I will no longer be a loyal customer. read more

You have to pretty much go up and down every isle if you want to make sure you don't miss anything... the departments are not that easy to understand. There is a lot of good home decor stuff, but the prices could be a little cheaper for the quality. Today is Earth Day, they had the dressing room lights off, not dimmed, completely off. When I complained to the associate she said since I live in town I could come back another day... nice... so don't expect any high-class customer service from this place... read more

I love this store, however this location is lacking in the clothes department. It never feels Organized and they seem to change around a lot. The men's section is very much lacking. Sometimes you can find good deals in the home department, but it takes a little looking around. I must wear that while I was in here I was going through the dresses and on a dress noticed a huge cricket on the clothing. So wash everything that you buy from here before you wear it. read more

Friendly staff! The store is pretty large with a selection of home goods, pet supplies, women's clothes, men's clothes, women's shoes, and even suitcases. It can be a bit overwhelming to find things as the sections aren't organized too well, but when you do the price is right!! Great deals on the name brand clothes you love. read more

I really enjoy this store. The staff is always friendly and if the check out line is long, they call extra staff to help check out. I find great stuff for a fair price. Every once in awhile, there will be something that is overpriced, but not often.The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars is because it is quite small. Doing my usual holiday shopping and decided to stop here this year. Glad I did! Killer deals, and amazing customer service, very clean. Employees kept asking me if I was finding everything okay. One employee stood out to me-- Mariah, sweet, pretty young gal. She was eager to help me and find exactly what I was looking for. I needed a mini speaker for my husband and she went above the grain!
