Then we start all over with new products on Thursdays. Inventory changes every week what we have and which major retailer it comes from online and store fronts. Each week we have something for everyone and at prices anyone can afford, and we don't mean last seasons trends. Its common place for our customers to be shocked when they find an item at Price Drop that they have been really wanting to buy either from the online retail giant or brick and mortar mogals but haven't been able to justify the splurge of $40- $80. in this economy for something that is not a necessity. They are thrilled to find out that we have it and depending on the day of the week and not the retail price of the item it ranges from $9-$3 dollars. We are a local family owned retail store they really wants to be known as the best deal in town. So we work really hard to source the best products and selection at the very best prices. So we can pass the saving on to the consumer we eliminate the typical labor cost associated with processing new inventory and displaying it on shelfs in stead we toss most of it all into bins and everything is priced the same excluding the high roller racks and items which are priced at 50% or below MSRP.

Last time I was in Chef'store I purchased bone in, skin on thighs, they were about the size of pigeon thighs, couldn't serve those to guests. I'll be sticking with CostCo from now on to purchase what I need, more of a variety, better quality, and priced more reasonably, even WITH the membership fee.

None of the yard decorations or better quality items were for sale. They were for display only. Isn't the point of donating to SA is so they can sell the items to raise money for their programs? They sell them in bags of 8 now, instead of requiring you like before to but two bags of six for a dozen bagels. The new price is basically $5.00 for 8, so I guess the price per bagel has gone up, but what hasn't. !!HERE IS THE BIG NEWS! THE BAGELS ARE NOW WATER BOILED!! What that means is they're more like real bagels like you would find in an actual bagel shop, a more dense and chewy bagel, yeah like New York I guess, even though I've never been. The previous bagels were basically fluffy beard donuts! Costco ended their association with Einstein's bagels (the bread donut ones) and now makes their own using water boiling before baking. They're a little smaller around, but denser. I got a bag, just watch the dates. The staff was just putting some new one out. All the normal flavors are out the including cinnimon rasin. I tried them and, whoa, what a difference, it way better. Maybe not totally as good as an actual bagel shop, but way better than what they had before. I used to avoid Costco bagels, but not any more.
