Service - I paid $400 to frame a painting. When I came to pick it up, rang the bell for some time before a sleepy young woman came out to say she can't help me because she is on break. Prior to that encounter, I asked my husband to inquire with the cashier what we should do since there is nobody to help us. When I finally came out with the painting a good time later, he was still in line to ask the cashier that question because the cashier would not allow him to ask the question being busy "helping other people". I have a problem when I stop being "people" after the payment has been collected. One of the poorer customer service place in a town of poor customer service. read more

I don't really go here too often but every time when I do go, I end up getting disappointed because the threads I look for, it always shows on their system they have it but when I get there, worker always end up telling me they are out out!! Not a fan of Michael store. read more

The web site for this store shows a coupon for 30% off the item right on the item's site and then says "no other coupons accepted". They do not honor the coupon. - why even mention it specifically on that site if they are not going to let it be used. FALSE ADVERTISING!!! Would I buy from them - not on a bet! read more

I like this place only to get items, but BEWARE of the framing department (except for Amber!) My father decided to have some rare, valuable rock posters framed and the lady who happened to be MANAGER of the store ruined by dry mounting them, for those who don't know, is gluing sticky paper to the original poster, which will damage and devalue the living hell out of it. Frankly, he's not happy about it. Any reputable framers would and should KNOW NOT TO DRY MOUNT ROCK POSTERS!!!! read more

I'm super disappointed in this place. A fellow homeschooler told me she LOVED Michaels because they had great supplies and they give homeschoolers a discount... so I went in super excited and filled a cart with craft stuff for school, only to be informed RUDELY that it doesn't happen at this store. Not only was I treated like an idiot, I was told AFTER ringing everything up. I just paid and left, but I definitely won't shop here again- even Walmart has better customer service. read more

Love going to Michaels with every change of the season to freshen up decor at our home, one of the perks is they often have massive sales! I wouldn't spend full price on most of the items. There is often a 40% off coupon on the back of the reciept, encouraging return visits. Great place to get art and craft supplies, overall a very huge store so don't be afraid to ask staff where something is! They are often busy, but helpful. read more

Redding doesn't have much in regards to crafty needs but this place suffices in a pinch. When looking for a project to keep the kids entertained this is a great place to get the supplies. It's pretty much like every other Michaels I've been in, possibly a bit cleaner. The employees are friendly and I love the constant 40% off coupons I get each time I'm there. I've always enjoyed shopping at this location. Everything is easy to find, stocked and people are helpful.

The thing that keeps me, as a multiple crafter coming back to Michaels, is that they have supplies for all my crafting needs. The one thing I wish I could say more positively is that the amount they have for some, such as soap and candle making, and for leather working, is very limited. However, the supplies in all other departments, the knowledge of their staff, and pure joy and delight in being there make it a favorite of mine. The best experience I ever had was probably when Amber in custom framing beautified a special piece of art for me to give to my wife for Valentine's Day this year. read more

This Michaels location is magical! This one is much bigger than the one in my home town. My favorite aspect is the home decor and seasonal decor section. They usually have great sales going on and fun options. The only comment I have on the staff/service is that they're somewhat absent! I never really see or talk to any employees, but that doesn't bother me! read more

Again another negative....Michaels workers are great no complaints there. But corporate please stop with the constant changes. First you accept JoAnnes coupons and then you dont. Nothing is more frustrating than when you have a cart full of supplies thinking you will be honoring "money off" Joannes coupons and then at the register find out you no longer accept them??? The employees are very helpful. They rearranged the store and I couldn't find what I was looking for. An employee in the frame area helped me and knee what isles I needed to be one. Very professional and friendly employees. read more
