Sold a Eufy heatflow wearable pump to them in December, used twice, everything was there even the brush to clean it. I even brought it in the box. They only gave me $20 for a pump I spent $240 on. I know the price of pumps goes down once it's opened and used but I saw pumps in there that were going for $80 and they were already opened and obviously used. When I got pregnant this was one of the first places I went. Over the last 9 months I always checked here first for items and have spent hundreds of dollars here. One item I purchased was a Halo Bassinet. It didn't fit as I needed next to my bed, and after discussing it with them I was assured I could bring it back for store credit (at less than what I paid of course). This bassinet that I paid $80 for was not used once by me (obviously since I'm still pregnant) and was in the EXACT same condition it was in when I bought it. They (the owner specifically) declined it. She said someone on her staff shouldn't have taken it because of discoloration, but they had no problem selling it to me in that condition. First time here and wow! Didn't have enough time to thoroughly look through everything. Big store with literally anything you would need for your children of all ages! Expecting? May as well come here instead of buying brand new! To crib sheets, nursing tanks, chew toys, socks... you name it! They have it! I was impressed how organized and how much inventory they had! This store had been such a lifesaver the past few months when we needed something for baby Asianah In a quick second but couldn't spend a ton of money. I love this store! I have shopped there and traded in clothing. I took in a pile of baby clothes ( my little guy was to big to wear most of his newborn stuff) and received about $30 store credit. Awesome! They have a dollar room which i shop in the most, I think some of there stuff is overpriced and others is about the same as other second hand stores. Found a quality jacket for my four year old and they have lots of cold weather / riding gear for kids at good prices. Love the store and the employees are friendly and helpful too! These guys have a wonderful selection of gear for baby, kids, and for moms! They are picky about what they buy so you can get very nice stuff here. They do charge more for it than a garage sale or Goodwill, but if you want stuff in good condition without having to root through junk to find it, this is your place. They do have dollar bins if rooting though stuff doesn't bother you. I recently found a great pair of like-new hiking shoes here- expensive brand name that would have been $90-$100+ new, for $45. I bought one pair, but after wearing them for a couple of days around the house, it became apparent that I should have bought the other pair I'd been looking at, and they allowed me to swap them and just pay the difference. So yes, more expensive than Goodwill, but also more reliably good stuff and good service. Very nice people! read more

As I started to write this negative review I see that all my concerns are already addressed, that tells me how bad this place really is. I try to go when the owner is not working because she's rude and offers even lowers prices for items they buy. They offer hardly anything and the up charge is crazy. I understand it's a business but I rather shop online sales for good brands then pay crazy high prices for used. Inspect all items you purchase as almost all clothing I bought I find a small stain or a tiny hole. This is my mothers experience today: Just went to "That Baby Store" which is much more than a baby store I was impressed with the clothes they had all the way up to adults I spent an hour looking for kids clothes for a play production besides the girls being rude in there I asked them to hold it for an hour or two so I could get the producer of the play to check them out I had about 15 items they would not hold them claiming store policy they wouldn't help me in anyway shape or form which is too bad because I would've shopped there for my grandkids and spent lots and Recommended it to everyone I knew now I say don't go there read more

I absolutely love to come here. Organized store with $$1 DOLLAR room. I like see what new things they have to offer....it's new to me items but never once have I have any issues with anything from clothes and sporting goods to toys and books with everything else inbetween not even ever having any flaws or issues and the fact that it's actually not being sold super expensive is good for buyers but sometimes sellers don't always like that because they don't get as much as they want to sell it to them but I think it's better than strangers from the internet who often flake anyways so it's not terrible for selling either read more

I've shoped here a few times and the items are WAY over priced for used clothes. $10, $12 for a clearly used dress or shirt. You can find brand new clothes at Old Navy and Target for cheaper. I dropped clothes for the first time. I just came from a garage sale and I didn't have a bin or bags. I felt kind of bad about that... But they said to put my things on the floor. Later after waiting for them to go through it the woman said she didn't want to go through it because she had to bend over. "It's too much work" she said. I once saw a pair of used snow boots with an old Goodwill tag on it for 4.99$ and I asked the lady why the price was 16$ and she ripped the Goodwill tag off and said "oh that happens all the time, it's 16$". You might as well go to goodwill. The service is better there anyways. I've been going to this store for the last year and half to buy things, mostly clothes for my son. I took in a large garbage bag full of clothes to consign. Like normal I write my name and phone number down. And handed her my bag to go through all while carrying my 9month old son car keys and his toy. Got no help. Nothing. So I was a little overwhelmed. She told me to go look around and it would be a few minutes. So I did. Found nothing cuz everything is way to over priced for being used. Time goes by she has grabbed a handful of things from my bag. She didn't say what it was or show me. Gave me 12$. The employee then gave me the cash at the register and I went on my way. Not realizing I hadn't gotten my bag FULL of clothes back. It's summer and I'm pretty busy. So a week and a half goes by because..you know "life" and I call the store ask to speak to Elizabeth the owner and she basically says she doesn't have my bag or my clothes and she can't do anything about it. Okay I'm a little irritated, that was well over 100$ worth of clothes. With this being said I will no longer tell people to go here, I will no longer shop here, and I will relay that the service is horrible. (I wouldn't shop at her outdoors store either) It's not that hard to call the person and let them know you still have there bag...maybe put it aside with a note. It's not hard. I've been there several occasions and the last few times I have been treated rudely by the staff who rather not assist the customers which confuses me because I don't see them doing much else. My last and final visit to this place I was trading in my very clean and lightly worn baby clothes which also had 12 diapers in cased along with it and when the owner assessed what she wanted from the box I noticed the diapers missing. I asked her about the diapers and she said she never saw them and gave me a voucher for the handful of things she thought she could sell. So my advice to all who choose to trade in their used baby stuff is to keep inventor of what your selling cause this lady is a thief. read more

Goodness! I am having a difficult time understanding some of the other reviews. I recently purchased a crib, a backpack, and a stroller. All were in good condition, priced at less than half of new, and the help was very thoughtful and courteous. Well I'm standing out front waiting to talk to the manager/owner maybe They give me a solution but the long and the short is that the owner of That baby store also the owner of Shasta adventure rentals sold my wife' merchandise gave the item to someone else and so far has refused to return either phone call or contact information left at either business in regards to providing the merchandise or a refund. So far huge waste of precious time and will not be doing business here again in either store. read more

On 2.1.17 I took a car load of items into the store; 3 gel life vests, kids floaty, brand name toddler shoes, ergo baby carrier, jj cole diaper bag, many many clothes, trolls blow up ball pit, honestly so much stuff. First I had my infant with me & nobody offered to help me carry anything in or nothing. I was so overwhelmed trying to get everything while holding my baby. Then the lady asked me to look around while they went through everything. I didn't realize until I got home what she took & what she didn't want but she definitely DID NOT GIVE ME A FAIR PRICE. Once I was able to go through the stuff she didn't want I realized she underpaid me by ALOT. I called and spoke to a employee who then gave me the run around. I was visiting Redding and had meant to pick up a few cooler weather items at my local kids consignment but didn't have time before we left. So, a quick google search brought up That Baby Store. I almost didn't go because of the negative reviews but with the fact that it had a play area and was specific to kids clothes I decided to stop in. I am so glad I did! The prices were phenomenal especially considering I found several items that were still brand new with tags! The prices on those items were easily 1/4-1/3 of the original prices! She also has a "dollar room" that I was able to find several outfits for each of my kids in great condition! The staff was friendly, the store was clean and very well organized considering the insane amount of stuff they had! I loved that they had a whole area dedicated to sports gear and things like cleats, in fact I'm sad that this isn't a store I can frequent since we're not from the area! I don't have any input in regards to trying to sell items to the store, but it's obvious that they don't take trash items. If we're ever in the area again, I will definitely be stopping in! read more

I second and third everyone else that the lady is just rude. I've tried and tried. I simply am treated rude and then am scammed. The place is run by a crabby-pants lady and that is enough to make me never want to walk in the door again. Just a lousy experience everytime I've gone in. Can find all that stuff cheaper on ebay and actually support a parent selling their own stuff at a fair price, and not supporting a rude business that isn't even market competitive.
