This is a somewhat older mall but still has a lot of interesting stores with a decent selection of things at a good value . They don't have much of a good selection here except for like a pretzel place and Cinnabon . The place is clean, the service is friendly especially at the GNC store inside the mall , I did enjoy my visit and would visit again when I'm back in Redding , California . read more

This place doesn't have a real food court. I was surprised there were no restaurants where you could get an actual meal. I think there's only a Cinnabon and a coffee shop. Mt. Shasta Mall is a great mall yet I feel that I'm just about done being harassed by the aggressive Insta-Derm Kiosk salespeople. One in particular this 19th day of June. It appears that a very civil and polite, 'No, Thank You'.... (when declining her free sample a.k.a. bait) ...rendered deep fury in the 40 something dark haired woman. I'm sorry, did I strike a raw nerve? What's going on internally of a sales woman that cannot handle a polite, "No."? When walking by a second time, she was yelling at me from 30-feet away, 'Oh, you bought me some things?' she asks, as I am walking by with our purchases from other stores. There is no reason to be cynical nor passive. I'm simply not interested in their product. When she didn't get a response out of me, my daughter clearly observed her glaring and displaying very dirty looks toward us, looking us both up and down. There is no need for this behavior. We are simply attempting to shop and enjoy our experience. I can button up this review and carry on with my happy day knowing that beauty is an inside job. I'm built from the inside out yet I felt the need to call this woman out on her ugly behavior. read more

This is not one of the biggest malls I have been to, but not the smallest either! My cousins brought my sister and I here for some much needed family fun and shopping. It's always nice to spend time with the girls and what better than hanging out together? There are many stores to check out from high end designers, to cute boutiques, to the more common, but popular department store variety! Love all the stores. Torrid, Macy's, Jcpennys, Buckle, my kids love the sees chocolate store and the Cinnabon, auntie Anne's yummy treats. We also have grown to love the cookie and frozen yogurt place. The coffee shop in the center of course gives a nice feel and during the holidays it's a must go to. Er visit Santa and also the Easter Bunny each and every year with our 2 daughters. This mall is truly our home away from home. read more

It isn't the most impressive mall, store or size wise, but it's in a good and convenient location. They've done a lot to improve the safety at this mall lately, which is nice. The current state of the food court is lacking at best, as they tore out the old food court to put in a makeup store. It's a dark hallway more than anything else. So, this place is basic. Remember when "basic" wasn't a code word for something else...but just meant basic? Yeah, this mall is basic. It has your basic food court, your basic stores, and some basic seating. Parking is fairly accessible and the people watching is phenomenal. They have a Macy's, Old Navy, Bed Bath & Beyond, and JC Penny's, that it. Maybe it must suit the patrons frequenting this mall, and this is all that is needed. I get it Redding, there is no need for fancy Nordstrom's and all that jazz, but let's add some variety. read more

Came here to buy a thank you gift for a friend but this place had nothing to offer. What a disappointment. Its single storied. Their Macy's felt like a Sears. There are couches placed on each end of the mall which the mall rats seem to enjoy. They were just napping away. I had to get the hell out ASAP. Plenty of parking and I can see why. While I agree that big city malls offer much more variety, I was surprised how clean, modern and pleasant this mall is. Many malls in towns Redding's size are struggling to keep anyone in their spaces. I only noticed one that was not occupied, and the rest are all filled with decent quality stores. In this world of growing online sales, it will be increasingly difficult keep these places filled. One note that's a pet peeve of mine: most malls have very few places to sit back and relax. As a child, I was dragged for hours and hours out shopping with my mother. My legs would cramp up because I had nowhere to sit. (Cue violins.) So, seeing so many chairs, brings a wee tear to my eye. God bless those who put together such a thoughtful mall! read more

Bottom of the barrel as far as malls I've been to. All the stores here suck.Hot Topic and FYE are the only two stores I'd shop at here anyways and neither of them ever get anything new in stock. Hot Topic rotates their window stuff as new movies come out,but for the most part,the rest of the store is the same old junk. FYE same thing.They have the same movies in the wrong place everytime I go in,like they never do recovery when theyre closed.Halloween 4 has been in the Friday the 13th section since last August. I've been told to stay away from the food court due to critters,so I cant tell you any stories of the food court except that it sucks and isnt a real mall since there's no Sbarro present. You could easily walk the mall and see everything including the skater boys and valley girls in about 5 minutes. read more

A pretty standardly equipped mall, all the usual stores; American Eagle, Buckle, Victoria's Secret, etc. There's juice stands, hair care/cuts, Beauty/make-up stores, and the big stores like Jc Penny. All-in-all what you'd find at almost any mall. The food court has been shrunken down and now has a small selection of food places to choose from though One thing that dose make this mall a particularly great place to waste some time at (during spring and summer) is the over abundance of hott women that come through in herds . This mall doesn't have much to offer other than your usually big stores and lots of seating. I was able to walk and browse the mall within 15 mins. Yes they have JC penny and Macy's, that was about it. I guess Redding residents finds this place as a gem but being from a big city, this mall was a joke. If you haven't been to the Mt. Shasta Mall in years, you're missing out on the much needed face lift they've done. Decent size food court with a couple open spaces for more shops. There are comfortable couches throughout the mall for you to sit and relax. Victoria Secret, Hot Topic and a couple game stores are a few specialty shops that Redding needs. Very comfortable sofa like seating in plentiful groups all along the center of the concourse. Good selection of shops typical for a smaller mall with no empty storefronts. Good, clean parking lots with lots of trees for shade, which is important, since the day we went it was 108F outside. read more

This place is teeny but they've got the essentials!! And the ladies at Buckle go above and beyond to make to make it a super awesome experience... PLUS there is a Round Table clubhouse which is really cool....sports bar atmosphere but a small arcade for the kiddos equip with prizes from a kiosk so you don't have to wait at a counter for someone to count out your tickets and pick your prizes!! This place is pretty fun to hang out when its a million degrees outside.... And of course they've got the big stores JC Penney, Macy's, Sears AND this one has Kohls and Old navy right in the same parking lot.... Which is super convenient if you ask me!! We didn't get to stay long and walk the whole thing, there were a lot of empty store lots, so there could be so much more shopping fun added.... A good variety of stores, though not the variety you find in Sac or the Bay. The mall is clean and well kept. Security do a good job of keeping the rough crowds away. Food options are few but decent. M Shasta Mall is small an sweet but not really my cup of tea!! The size suits Redding. It has a hoot seating area, to eat food in, and the only reason it has a extra star is because it gave me my first Victoria Secret experience. The majority of retailers have great customer service! read more

I'm from a large city so going to the Mt. Shasta Mall is a big disappointment. I guess I'm spoiled by the diversity of shops that larger malls carry. This mall definitely needs a children's clothing shop (The Children's Place, Gap Kids, Naartjie, etc...), and women's clothing shops for a 30-40 year old who still likes to dress modern but not like a 20 year old or a 60 year old (which this mall caters to). Definitely need more of that in this mall. And don't forget a woman's shoe store. JCPenney, Sears, even Macy's carry older fashions. Need to come into the modern ages, people. Also, a Cinnabon shop would a nice addition. So all in all, I plan a trip down south every 4 months to catch up on some much needed shopping. I'm hoping that as more people from outside larger cities start to move to Redding that the mall will start to cater to us as well. read more

Victoria Secret, Zumiez, Buckle, Spencer's, American Eagle, JC Penny's, Ulta Beauty, Hot Topic, Sephora (inside JC Penny's), Macy's, Bath & Body Works, Clair's, Icing Clair's, Sunglass Hut, Old Navy, Foot Locker, Famous Footwear, Sears, and Payless. So many people say that there are bugs in the food court, straight up lie. I've been going to that mall for 3 years and I have never seen 1 bug in that mall. Pretty family friendly. read more

This is Redding's Mt. Shasta mall. It isn't large, it doesn't have many stores and it isn't really all that fun to go to. Still, Redding is the biggest city in this part of CA and this mall is what the locals have to work with so don't complain too much about it, you might hurt someone's feelings.
