This is the place. My husband and I stopped by because a series of very unfortunate events. Our dog had emergency surgery a few days prior to shopping here because of a fiber blockage in his intestine from years of licking our carpet and couch. After a very long surgery and a laundry list of post operative care, we were required to find and buy a couch that was leather or some other smooth material to ensure our dog could live safely in our home. We were short on time and needed something stat. Immediately upon pulling into the parking lot, it was very clear that this was an established, family owned and operated business. The property outside was impeccably maintained, and the exterior of the building was beautiful. They had a series of signs in the window in favor of helping animals in need, supporting american business, and supporting first responders. We were extremely pleased to see this all and I had a feeling before walking inside that this is a store you visit through out your lifetime for ALL your furniture needs, not just a one and done visit. We were immediately greeted by the cutest Cavapoo, Luna, and a friendly man and woman. Todd immediately and naturally conversed with us and very, VERY quickly identified what we were looking for through genuine interest. During the sales process, the one thing that I appreciated the most was his honest expertise about different fabrics or materials. He was extremely knowledgeable and very efficiently went through the different features of the sofa we were most interested in and different purchasing options. He took into account and addressed various factors that go into what makes furniture comfortable - height differences, weight differences, torso to leg ratio, longevity, color, factors that wear down materials, etc etc. I could go on and on how amazing the shopping process was with Todd. He made sure to give a plethora of information without making us feel like we were sitting there for a long time or listening to a long lecture. The value of the sofa we ended up purchasing - we felt good about. Being a family operated business with high quality american materials, their prices are a little higher. My husband and I were quite comfortable spending a little more to ensure our money was not going overseas or into a worse quality item. We were also super happy to pay a little more to support their business philosophies and values. Their sofas have great warranties and since it's backed by an independent business, it's very clear Oak Tree will work with you to ensure they stand behind their pieces. We ended up getting a FANTASTIC couch that will allow our dog to safely in our home while providing maximum comfort for us and checking all of our boxes. You need to know they have so much more than Oak. I know I thought that is all they had until I went in for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and amount of furniture they have. The prices are competitive. We've purchased furniture two times from Oak Tree Furniture, and referred two families who also purchased furniture. We return, and refer people, for several reasons. They are a local family owned business, their customer service is impeccable, the knowledge of their products is incredible, and the quality of the furniture is amazing. Outright liars. Chair is the photo is less than a year old, oak tree and company fusion say there is a 2 year warranty. When chair was brought in to have repaired or replaced we were told that it was obviously abuse and they would not make good on the warranty. If you go to oak tree's Facebook where my parents went to write a review you can see their reply. It's outrageous, why would my dad say no oak tree repairing the chair at their expense ? That's exactly what we were there for ! They had the nerve to call my dad a liar when he told them how it broke. I broke it just by sitting back laughing at a dinner happened in front of our whole family. These people don't deserve your business . My husband and I purchased over $13,000 worth of Amish furniture built by Fusion. A dining room table with beautiful chairs and bench seat and a coffee table and two end tables. We love them! big disappointment when approximately 10 months later and not a whole lot of use of our chairs, my son was sitting in one of them and the back broke off by the seat. No abuse was observed by us, the family and friend who were enjoying our meal together. My husband and I thought, no problem. There is a warranty and this is quality furniture and Oak Tree is very respected and we also thought our encounter while purchasing these items was wonderful. Todd was very helpful during this time. When my husband brought the chair back to the store to show Todd, he told us we had obviously abused the chair!!! My husband could not believe that they would not help us to either have the chair replaced or fixed. We did not do anything out of the ordinary in the use of this chair. My husband told Todd how disappointed he was with this response. And Todd stated that he was disappointed in us for trying to bring the chair back. We have tried to see if we have a recourse with Fusion who built the furniture, but they stated we had to go through our dealer. Just want the public to know to BEWARE..... Soooo sad and disappointing. We had felt so good about this purchase. It was a large one for us and we thought is would last us a long time. We purchased a really nice entertainment center a few weeks back, on sale a little over $600., when it was being delivered I noticed a couple of serious gouges in the piece. I was asked by one of the delivery people what I wanted and I told them a couple hundred, my wife talked to one of the delivery persons and he relayed on the phone to one of the owners and lowered that to the delivery fee of $75 The owner came back with a low ball offer of just $50. The point is, it is when things have gone wrong, that you see the real customer service of a business. Unfortunately they made a POOR choice wanting us to eat the damage on a brand new piece of furniture. We told them to just take it back for such a low ball return offer. We went over to another furniture store and The owner there saw a scratch on a piece of furniture and right off the bat took $50 off without being asked, That was REAL customer service. We bought a different one and he took off the delivery fee. Again REAL customer service. What a shame for Oak Tree, had they made a real fair offer, and not been cheap, we probably would have had them repair it or taken delivery of that one until a brand new one came in 3 - 6 weeks. Now they are really going to loose and have to eat the piece of furniture and more, including the delivery service costs. And lost a customer on principle. I hope it was worth a $25 difference, or even $100 as serious as the damage was even though it might have been filled in with putty on both places or hidden. read more

Todd is strictly soft sell. He knows everything about every piece in the store, but he's not going to follow you around trying to sell you. He's very helpful and if you buy it, it's because YOU wanted it. It will never be because of a high pressure sales pitch at this store. They're here for the long haul. The whole family is charming. Now as for this flexsteel power loveseat..... I knew I could trust flexsteel cause my neighbor has a super wide flexsteel chair that's over 10 years old that has 'nothing' weakened, broken, flattened, or old about it. It's the epitome of quality that stands the test of time. Mine is power, leather so soft it feels like buttah', heavenly support I can count on for years to come. Sure it cost an arm, a leg, two of the neighbors kids and a cat, but you get what you pay for. I've got more neighbors, so I will be back to buy there again. You should too. I purchased a Flexsteel sofa on 11/27/15 that was delivered on 2/9/16. This sofa was reportedly "on sale" at $1299.00. I owned a Flexsteel sofa at the time, purchased in 2007 (going on 10 years) that showed no signs of wear with nice firm cushions. I expected similar quality. What I received was greatly inferior. In fact in a little over two years I had to have the foam in the seat cushions replaced, they had squashed down to almost nothing and causing me to have back pain. The foam was of the cheapest grade. Only one small person has used this sofa. The Flexsteel sofa I received from Oak Tree furniture is of exceptionally inferior quality, not only did the seat cushion foam give way, but the upholstery has stretched out and is wrinkled. None of these failings were issues I experienced when I purchased a Flexsteel sofa that I enjoyed for nearly 10 years, and was still not worn when I chose to replace it. In conversations with other furniture sales personnel I was informed that Flex Steel has lowered its quality and they noted, others have complained. This is really disgraceful, and in fact it is a rip off. Granted I did not pay a great deal more for a sofa, but at a substantial price, "on sale," I should have received consistent quality and a sofa that could hold up for more than two years when used by only one person. It is really disgusting to find you have been taken advantage of. read more

This was a wonderful place to shop. I just moved to Redding and called a week earlier to inquire about certain things, including American made furniture (a must for us). Todd gave me wonderful service and fully went over what furniture makers they used. I said I would be a certain date and he was expecting me and he was prepared when I got there. He is extremely knowledgeable and wanted to be sure we were completely informed about all of our choices. He even went out of his way to get a certain bedroom set made in a wood they did not list, elm. He also went out of his way to get the manufacturer to put our order in for pre-Christmas delivery (it was after the deadline). The furniture we chose, mostly from the Amish made collection from Fusion and certain Flexsteel upholstry, all American made. He gave us excellent prices. I had a budget and not only did we stay within it, I got more furniture than I had planned. I now plan to buy a few additional pieces just because it was such a pleasure to be there and work with Todd. I went into another furniture store and asked about American made furniture and was told that very little furniture is made in America anymore. Todd also hand wrote a wonderful thank you letter. I am a very dissatisfied customer. Ordered a chair that was told that it was just like my husbands. I waited 2 1/2 months for it to come in. It wasn't at all like my husbands. I called and asked if I could return it. Was told no and was told that I was the one in the wrong. Then asked if I could at least exchange it, since it didn't match my husbands anyway. Oak Tree Furniture, THEY ARE MORE THAN JUST OAK, what a great establishment! I guess because it is made up of great owners and employees. They have been serving the community and making people happy for 40 years and now that I have had the pleasure of dealing with them, mainly Tod, I'm sorry it took me so long to do so. We purchased a beautiful high quality Amish crafted dining room table and chairs. When delivered to our home we discovered a rub occurred during shipping under part of the plastic protection. A repair time was set up immediately. Unfortunately not being 100% happy with the repair l contacted Tod after a week and I politely let him know my feelings. Although the price was a great value since it was not inexpensive I figured there was no way I would be pleased, they sure as hell weren't going to order and ship from Illinois or Indiana again. HOW WRONG WAS I ? Tod said, your new table is already on order. Our perfect, beautiful new table was delivered today!!! This kind of service is far and few between, something from the past, so if you want service and satisfaction you may not have ever experienced go see Tod at Oak Tree Furniture.
