I walked into the store one day after work hoping to find the couch that I fell in love with at another furniture store. I was able to find it (priced great) and Christian answered all my questions regarding the delayed deliveries happening across town. He helped me finance my dream couch and was patient with the entire process of me sitting on the couch for an hour deciding if it was THE ONE. Every step of the purchase from the financing to the delivery was easy and effortless on my end. Christian was easy to get ahold of, responded extremely timely to any questions I had, and my couch came a month early! After one week of enjoying the new couch, there was an incident that caused the fabric on a cushion to snag and fray. I again, contacted Christian and within minutes he was able to provide me with protection plan info and gave me all the info I needed to file the claim to get the cushion fixed! This is my second major purchase from the Ashley Store in Redding and I have not been disappointed yet! read more

Be very careful ordering from this store (Redding, CA). We ordered a sectional and one of the pieces came damaged. The delivery driver stated we could not refuse delivery (they would not take it back with them), and that we needed to contact Ashley to get a replacement piece. We've been going through that process for 3 weeks now and have not gotten any resolution on it yet, they are now asking for more pictures (even after the delivery driver took pictures). I finally called the store today and the manager asked if I refused delivery? I stated that your subcontractor (for delivery) told me that I could not refuse delivery and that I needed to go through customer service. At that point I realized something was off. Funny enough, I have a ring camera setup inside to record our Scottish Fold cats (for my wife's Cattery business), and it's high on a shelf but it captures the whole living room area and the audio is surprisingly good. I let the manager know that I do have the delivery on video including the part where I open the piece and see the damage, and when they tell me I cannot refuse delivery. If this is in violation of Ashley corporate policy I believe this could be a legal issue. Really though I don't want to press it, I just want a new piece to replace the one that is damaged. He said the process would be to send someone out to see if they could fix it. It seems quite ridiculous to me that they could deliver something that is "new", that's damaged and not replace it with something that is new and undamaged. That Ashley would consider just fixing something that is damaged rather than automatically replacing it with something that is new and undamaged tells you really all you need to know I think about them as a company. I don't live by an RC Willey anymore, but I had an issue with something that came damaged by them before and they replaced it with a new item no questions asked. So do what you like ordering from them, they do have decent furniture for the price when it's not damaged, but know your rights and do refuse delivery, even if the subcontractors they hire to deliver provide you misinformation (or outright lie, depending upon what they have been told they are able to do). I have more pictures but I got one without the delivery driver's face in it here for privacy reasons (live photos is so nice, thanks Apple), but there is also some of the internal wood cracked and more other damage. I purchased a reclining electric couch from Ashley and I was talked into buying the warranty for an additional 199. The couch was expensive almost 3000. Shortly after one year the entire seam on the right side of the recliner started coming undone very quickly when the couch is reclining up and down. I turned in a claim through the warranty company called Reguard. I have been shopping at Ashley for 20 years various locations I have bought the warranty various times, not every time, but this time I was talked into the warranty by the salesman who told me I needed it for this recliner and it would cover everything. I never ever have made a claim through Ashley's warranty! I turned in my claim with the pictures of the sewing coming out of the entire side and after many months, they denied my claim. They said they don't cover sewing coming undone and they don't cover poor workmanship by Ashley. I am a senior and they won't cover my ripped couch which I paid a fortune for!!!!! So I want to warn everyone else out there, do not buy from Ashley, do not let them con you into their warranty and take advantage of you, because it doesn't cover anything even their poor workmanship. In addition I sent them pictures, they never even came over to look at the couch which they probably could have repaired but as time goes by it continues to unravel. So, now I'm embarrassed to have it sitting in my living room! The warranty company even said oh we'll give you back the 199 that you paid for the warranty (which is valid until 2029!) Purchased all our Living Room furnishings almost 4 years ago as well as the 5-year warranty. One seat in our sectional (of course my seat) was not properly stuffed and worsened quickly over time. I'm a small framed 115 lb. woman so breaking it down could not possibly have been the cause. I now have Stage 4 Cancer with a life expectancy of 1-year so really want comfort! I've called the warranty company and actual store for over 1 1/2 years now for repair or replacement of it! Always the same responses; they'll have someone out very soon, will get back to me, etc. I've had to send and resend photos of the sectional, codes, etc. (Which I've had to lie on the floor to take the pics as they're under the footrest). It's been a nightmare to deal with and has caused an extreme amount of back & side pain! I'm now told this problem is not covered!!? We can't afford an attorney or would definitely take care of the issue! Be careful if buying a mattress here. We spent 1k on a twin mattress. It came tightly packed in a box and rolled out like an uneven pancake. It was supposed to expand within 48 hours, but it never did. It is totally unusable. The first words from the store was "there's not likely anything we can do." The sales staff were very nice. However, on delivery day May18, 2024, no delivery. No phone call, no notice of any kind, nada, nothing. I called the store but with the automation, they do not allow you to go to the store. I was put on the phone with a "representative". She said that the couch had been back ordered and should be delivered on June 1. So I have no furniture to sit on. There was no offer to provide anything for the lack of customer inconvenience, lack of concern for the customer, nor the lack of communication of the no delivery. My delivery was rescheduled several times by the company and the customer service manger tried to blame it on one particular day when he said "truck broke down." Seriously ridiculous. How this store reopened after closing the first time I'll never know but i will admit i made the mistake of purchasing a couch set knowing they are just scammers. I did however think that if I bought the insurance than at least I would be covered when the couches will ultimately die after a year. Well here we are 2 years later on my 5 year insurance and no help from the store or the scamming insurance. They won't even refund me for the insurance that is clearly a scam , a company they themselves don't use anymore. So we bought a new couch and some other pieces right before COVID hit in March. The sectional couch was sold in individual pieces. We thought it might too big to buy the whole thing for our living room. The salesman told us not to worry as if it was too big we could just return the piece. When the they delivered it and set it up I knew right away it was too big but the delivery person told me not to worry just to contact the store and they would take it back. After he left I tried all the power recliners. On of them did not work right and was catching on the frame. I called and Ashley's and scheduled a tech to come out. I also mentioned the extra piece and I was advised that they do not take returns once it is at your house. Really.....first I had heard of that. So the repair tech comes out and tells us he has to order a part. He the leaves a few week later the part arrives at our house. The tech comes back out and realizes he ordered the wrong part. So he orders another part. The part comes in a few weeks later again. We have the part sitting in our dinning room and we have called the national number and the local number no less that 10 times. No one will answer the phone and we have to leave a message. Their answering machine says this is due to COVID. Really you can't answer the phone because of COVID? It has now been over 5 months and we have not received a call back and our $5000 couch is still broken. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE! Once they have your money they can care less about fixing any issues. The worst part is the store is still closed to walk ins because of COVID when every other store in Redding is open. read more

My experience ordering a bedroom set was awful. Placing the order was ok, however, it was all downhill from there. My original delivery got pushed back by two weeks, then when it did arrive, it was missing a vital part, my rails and slats. When the parts, they only had the rails. They said my slats wouldn't arrive for 2-3 more weeks. I ordered my own support frame and slats. When the bed was set up I noticed some damage to my headboard. It took two more days to get a tech to come look at it, then another week for a replacement. When installing my support frame I noticed damage to the drawer on my bed. I had to fix it the best I could because I can't stand the thought of waiting even longer for a replacement. Today my slats were supposed to arrive, but now it's saying it'll be two more days... I bought an adjustable bed from Ashley Home Store in Redding, Ca to years ago. When I went in to make a purchase everyone was soooo helpful! The big selling point for me was the massager and the fact that the mattress wouldn't sink where I slept over time. I've only had it 2 years and my imprint is there! I went in to talk to them about it and they wouldn't even acknowledge me. I finally said " excuse me would someone be able to help me please?". Someone came over and they wouldn't look up my account. Just told me to file a claim. I called the company that I had purchased the insurance that works with Ashley Home and they said the $2,000 mattress was not covered. Just the base. Horrible communication and no consideration of customer time. I received a text that my furniture would come today between 10:15-2:15. I arranged my schedule to be home and nothing came. I called the phone number at 3:30 to inquire and was on hold for 20 minutes, then a repesentative answered and disconnected the call. I called back and waited on hold another 15 min to find out my items didn't make to the 'lane' to be delivered. They knew last night that the delivery couldn't be made, and zero communication was made. The only reason I found out was because of our call. No text message, no call, and promise of delivery was not met. The phone rep transfered me to the store. The Redding Ashley rep offered my delivery to be rescheduled in 5 days, with no other option given. Their communication system failed in this instance and I do not appreciate the inconvenience as this has cost me 6+ hours of inconvenience. I do not recommend the store. We requested a refund. I prefer to wait longer through a store that lives by their commitments and respects people's time. We will be purchasing from Kuebler's as they have excellent service and we have never had this problem with them. Such a shame. read more

As I sit here in my empty living room...I thought I would use this venue to vent my anger. We went into our local Ashley store on memorial day and purchased a living room set. Here we are at the end of July , on the date it was scheduled to be delivered, between ten and two. I worked from home on an all day staff meeting via zoom so that I would be able to let them in when they arrived. Two o'clock came and went... At 2:57 I got a phone call saying that the truck with my furniture on it broke down. They've secured another truck to bring it out tomorrow between 10 and 2. Well, I have to be in the office tomorrow and Friday so this is unacceptable. She said she'll have her manager call me back, an hour later I called and left a message saying no one ever called me back. Here we are at 5:29 pm, still no furniture, still no phone calls. We bought our couch set from Ashley's in May. It was delivered BROKEN and I was told by the delivering supervisor to go ahead and sign for the other pieces that was not damage and they would have a replacement ordered and when they delivered the new piece, they will take away the damage piece. I waited a week, no call from Ashley's, so i called their customer service just to be told by them that a technician has to "attempt" to "fix it" before a replacement can be ordered. 6/4/2020 a technician came out. He sprayed adhesive on the broken bottom wood that was broken in two places and he then attached a piece of quarter inch plywood onto the broken wood and called it fixed. Due to the broken bottom wood, the top piece of wood was sagging because their was no support. The tech did not attempt to fix that part, but he said he will note that into his report. I told the tech that I was not satisfied with the attempt to fix it. He said to call customer service again. I called customer service and was told that they will not be able to order a replacement until there was an attempt to fix the top wood too. 7/11/2020, same tech came back out. He did the same thing to the top wood as he did to the bottom wood prior. IT DID NOT FIX IT, IT STILL SAGGED. The tech said he will note it on his report and to have a replacement ordered. and to expect a call from Ashley's in 4-5 business days. Waited a week, no call. So i called customer service the following week and was told that my case was closed, because it was fixed. They gave me the run around, and finally said that they would need to send another tech out for a "second opinion" before they can replace it. We were pretty upset by now. My husband called customer service and told them to just come pick up the couch now and not to send another tech over for the third time for the SAME PROBLEM!! A day later, RED from the Redding store location left me a message for me to call him so we can try to fix the problem. I called the number he left me, but he wasn't in, so i spoke with Sarah. She said she was going to request a new replacement for us, but we will need to wait for an approval from her supervisor/manager since he was on vacation. I was happy finally, because something was actually getting done about it. RED called me the next day and he told me that they WILL NOT ORDER A REPLACEMENT. He said I need to go through proper procedure. I told him that we had a tech came out TWICE already per their protocol. He said they will not replace it until a tech said to replace it. My husband called him and it wasn't pretty. RED HUNG UP ON MY HUSBAND and an hour later BRITT from Ashley's customer service called and spoke to my husband. A tech was schedule to come out on 8/8. NO ONE SHOWED UP. 8/9, my husband called Red and told him to order the replacement now since a tech did not come by yesterday as schedule. RED WAS ARGUING WITH MY HUSBAND, TELLING HIM THAT HE WAS WRONG AND THAT NO TECH WAS SCHEDULE TO COME OUT. MY HUSBAND SAID HE CAN SEND RED THE CONFIRMED SCHEDULED TEXT MESSAGE THAT HE RECEIVED. RED HUNG UP AGAIN!!! THEY WOULD NOT ANSWERED OUR CALL. THEY SCREENED MY NUMBER AND MY HUSBAND'S NUMBER!! WE CALLED THEM ON MY FATHER IN LAW'S NUMBER AND RED ANSWER AND WHEN HE HEARD MY HUSBAND HE HUNG UP THE PHONE AGAIN! AFTER SEVERAL OTHER CALLS, CHRIS, THE MANAGER, ANSWERED AND HE SAID WE CANNOT CALL THEM ANYMORE AND WE ARE NOT ALLOW IN THEIR STORE FROM NOW ON. AND HUNG UP. AFTER A FEW MORE CALLS, CHRIS ANSWERED AGAIN AND HE SAID HE WAS CALLING THE POLICE ON US. AND HUNG UP. REDDING POLICE DEPARTMENT CALLED MY HUSBAND. WE GAVE THEM OUR SIDE OF THE STORY. OFFICER APOLOGIZED. AND NOW WE CAN A TECHNICIAN SCHEDULE TO COME OUT 8/14. THIS PLACE IS RIDICULOUS!!! WE WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!
