This is my second review. The first was a year ago, and I gave them two stars. I had mentioned their rudeness and unprofessional behavior in the first, but I also mentioned their good prices. Today, the good prices aren't really a strong enough incentive for me to continue shopping there. Here's why: Today one of my purchases was a 100 ct. box of Red Rose Tea. It had a 50 cent off coupon on it, so I peeled off the coupon and handed it to the checker. She tried several times to register it, but it would not scan, Finally, she tells me that the coupon has expired. I said I just took it off your tea box. She responded "it wasn't her tea." No "sorry about that" from her, just a blank stare, and a smart as# remark, informing me that the tea wasn't hers--which I knew already. I should have let the matter go. It was only fifty cents, right? But something about the checker's lousy attitude bugged me, so I asked to see her manager. She walked off and came back a full five minutes later to a much longer line of waiting customers. She said the manager couldn't come to the check stand for another ten minutes. I told her to forget the tea. It was only fifty cents, but the principal of the thing was worth a lot more to me. They could keep their damned tea. On my way out, I went to where the checker said the manager was, and it was a woman at the Customer Service Counter. I asked if a checker had come here and spoke to her about a fifty cent coupon on a box of tea, and she said yes, and that they couldn't accept the coupon because it was expired. I told her the same coupon was on all the boxes, and they should not have them on the shelf if their coupons were expired. She simply said she couldn't accept an expired coupon, even if it was on their own merchandise. At this point, I expected an offer of reducing the amount of the tea by fifty cents. After all, the incentive for buying the item was the flashy red coupon of money savings on the front of their box. And the tea, as well as the coupon, was, in fact, theirs. But this customer-pleasing thought never occurred to this clerk. I walked out, and I won't return. They traded a paltry fifty cents for thousands of dollars a year in grocery sales to my family. What kind of company won't honor one of their own tiny coupons (or equivalent) and do the right thing? I'm still shaking my head Time to give Winco a chance. read more

Due to unfortunate circumstances, I have been displaced from my home and am now in a motel temporarily. So far, my experiences with my deliveries have been pretty good. I haven't needed substitutions for my dog food. (They were consistently out of stock at my previous location). So, considering my situation, It was a nice change. On a different note, my in-store experiences were less enjoyable. I tried to buy an inexpensive phone because mine was stolen. I still can't get it activated and it was supposed to be activated at the register. Also, it was my second time around with the same phone, because the first time was incomplete. Although I entered the store with more than 50% battery power, I soon discovered that it was draining quickly because of a malware problem. However, during checkout I was transferred from the phone counter to the front of the store because they were about to close. So, at 4% bp I had to waste the majority of what was left traveling to the front of the store. But once I reached the register, I was advised to turn off the phone while I was being rung up a second time. When I turned it on again, I was unable to get to the wallet on my phone in time to make the purchase and they kicked me out instead of helping me. So, in my opinion, they were part of the problem rather than the solution and didn't meet their responsibility to make it right. I believe It would have been better if the first guy had been more helpful and less concerned about his own issues with time management or whatever. In conclusion, I don't, like some of the employees who are here. But I do like that I am able to feed my doggy. To me that's the highest priority. Pettiness is better left to the less competent crowd. read more

July 2nd first in line 7:02 am. Came here for oil change made sure i was getting ow-20 oil change. Full synthetic. Only dealt with short hair asian & long haired asian. Long haired asian (shoulders) moved as fast as a turtle . Short haired asian stole big metal piece skid plate & my plastic splash cover underneath my car. I heard him drilling something 2. Asked what was happening long haired asian o we putting skid steer back on. What. I went back in . Long haired asian started arguin with me we put it back on. i seen short haired asian holding it. Walmart auto on Dana Steals Car Parts. Zoom in Underneath . Im hoping they didn't steal my hybrid battery too. last i seen it was worth $2000. My car has 2 batteries.I don't trust walmart. Quite possibly the worst and most ghetto Walmart I've ever interacted with. It feels super dirty inside and so much stuff is locked up due to the infamous levels of theft this particular location culminates. They literally added a ton of self-checkout machines only to rip them all out 2-3 years after installation because they were losing so much money and product. So now instead: you have to wait sometimes up to 20/30 minutes in register lines because of staffing problems or not enough checkstands open. I've seen 4-5 pigeons in the building in the 3 years I've gone to this particular location. At first it was cute, but then you realize it's a sign for how poor this place operates. Go south 15 minutes down the freeway? You'll be in the Anderson Walmart. Night-and-day experience on how tidy and solid it feels in contrast to this junker. It's Walmart, I get it. But by Walmart standards, this place is the pits. read more

My mom always does orders from here and we've never had problems but today we ordered and it didn't show up at our door my mom texted me it was coming we waited for 30 mins and it still hadn't arrived at our house my mom said it should've arrived by now so we checked around the neighborhood for like 20 mins max we went home and waited again but my grandma remembered there's another neighborhood connected to ours so we drove there and our order was sitting at our neighbors house who is out of town them one of our other neighbors came out and told us it was sitting for and hour outside I'm not blaming Walmart for this I'm blaming the stupid delivery driver they hired bc they had full GPS directions to my house read more

So we were in the oil change and the car started coincidentally they say leaking oil and they said it's the cooler it's actually not cause it's never leaked before and they said it's been leaking. I guess they were kind of nice about it but no so I don't recommend going here for your oil change because they're just gonna mess up your car and then say that it was a coincidence one out of 5. I regularly order delivery from Walmart but this week I wanted to do some Christmas shopping and went into the store. Oh my goodness, I had to battle the Walmart 'shoppers' with their carts and totes to get through the aisles. And they weren't polite! I was in their way and they were on a mission. No defer to the in-store customer, didn't get out of the way or smile and wait for me to get through the aisle. Christmas shopping at Walmart on Wednesday in the morning was nice, not too many people in the store, however customer service is lacking. Saw a woman waiting at the jewelry counter for help, and someone radioed that help was needed. A person working just down from her didn't come over to help while she was stocking some displays in the middle of the aisle by Christmas stuff. She was soo close and didn't help as I went by. The shoppers who push the blue carts around do not say excuse me or acknowledge you at all. A couple of them did talk and were outgoing though. I did ask where some shelf stable milk was and they were able to direct me. A little better customer service and manners will help the review. read more

The 3 stars are for the employees at the money service and the customer service areas. Also the few people I met at the registers were also courteous and polite . My biggest problem with this store is how so many items are locked up. They must have a serious lost prevention issue to even have pens locked up! And I hate having to wait for an associate to come unlock the case and impatiently wait for you to get your item so I suggest you know for sure what you want before they come to open it. read more

I especially like the clearance isle, I send a lot of time here when I visit to find all kinds of goodies. Yes, you will see homeless people walking our lounging around the parking lot. It absolutely breaks my heart to see Walmart employees that are "cart pushers" outside in the pouring rain with no rain jacket or boots, completely drenched in the clothes that they have to wear their entire shift. I'm sure that many of the employees cannot afford to buy their own. They should be complementary with the job. You literally sell them... It's very sad!! They say that they genuinely care about their employees and their well-being, but this does not show that! those poor young men. Please take care of your outside workers. In the heat, cold and for God sakes in the rain. Some of them may not even be able to afford to buy food to feed their families. At least make sure that they are dry. It's not healthy or safe. This Walmart location is no good. It does not give me any pleasure to say that but I have to be very honest in the reviews that I leave on yelp. I hate when people leave dishonest reviews on yelp. It makes it hard for people to make an accurate assessment about the business. And if I am being honest this Walmart location is not very good. First off the staff at this location is completely useless. I mean I do not even understand why they employ some of these people. They have no idea where any of the items in the store located and they do not do anything in the power to try to find out I mean, how can you work at the store for over a year baguette you don't know where the toothpaste is. Are you kidding me! This is completely unacceptable. I asked for different people inside the store Where to find the toothpaste because my son needs a new bottle of toothpaste. And no one in the store could tell me. They then told me go ask the manager. I walked over to the manager to see if I can get some assistance the manager told me to hold on he was helping another customer and he would be right with me. I waited there for over 20 minutes in the manager never came back for me. When I went to ask the employee where did they manage ago they told me the manager shift ended 15 minutes ago and he already went home. Are you nuts! Why would you have me waiting there if you knew your shift was about to end. This is completely unacceptable Also, I bought a bottle of water, well let me be more specific. I bought an entire case of water and one of the bottles were not even filled all the way to the top. They said we are closed and if you go in we will not check you out and we will call the police. What's up with that? Hoooooo-boy. I know, if you want low prices, you go to Walmart. So do I. But this one is not one of the better ones. Still, if you gotta go, you gotta take a breath and go. We had to get something for our campout. It was locked up. We kept looking and looking for someone to open the case up, and no one was around. I finally found someone, and she said she had no keys for that, but she'll send someone over. A short time later, we heard the request for help in the Sporting Goods department, but still no one came for many, many minutes. Finally, after someone else buzzed for help again, help did come, and he didn't appear too happy to be in the store that day. Walmart customer service is not that good anyway, but this was ridiculous. And the store itself was in just okay condition, but borderline. Not well taken care of. More things locked up than in other Walmarts, which says something about the clientele. Basically, if all you have to judge Walmart by is this store on Highway 44 in Redding, then it's no wonder people make jokes about Walmart and the People Of Walmart. Walmart CEO televised a statement about why they raised their prices and he stated it was due to theft. They have to compensate for their lost so the consumers are paying for it. Which is total BS ... go back to security and stop allowing people to walk out with stolen goods and the consumers should not have to pay off their theft bill. Not impressed with this Walmart at all they can't seem to keep items stocked. I just came back from Nevada and picked up all my items for my dogs and everything was stocked even when I visit the bay area those stores are always stocked. They have no excuses .. I decided to look at TV's yesterday and they removed all the TV from the display area which sucked. I was looking to buy a higher brand TV then the one I left with but didn't because there was no display. I left with a TV that I have in my bedroom and it was one that was removed from their display which I saved a lot of money on a 50 inch TV. I looked at those TV they removed for a good 15 minutes and finally approached a sale associate who had been sitting while on his phone this whole time. His response "I don't know nothing about those TV's" I asked you do work here and he said yes with cell phones. So I replied your getting paid to sit in a chair and play on your phone all day. He looked bewildered and told him he needed to get a real job. This guy was unbelievable didn't even offer to find someone to help me with my questions about the TV's but he loss no time going back to his phone looking down at it and still sitting on his stool. What a pathetic waste of an employee who sits and plays on his phone...thats a red flag. Walmart when removing TV's from your display it's very easy and common sense to provide the brand name of a TV with the size on the paperwork thats attached to the TV's. Also when putting a TV on display take the remote from the box and tape it to the back of each TV..use common sense but like an employee said it would be to easy..good laugh. I waited to long for an associate to show up to help move the TV to my car after a call was sent out for help. Finally the clerk very carefully placed the TV in my cart and told me to have someone up front help putting it in my car. So I did that but it was lost cause I was able to get the TV in my car myself while they had the outside table full with the employees who gather the carts sitting laughing and smoking. Those are the employees who I was told to get help from..yeah really what a joke. I even saw the phone guy sitting there still on his phone looking down. So in the future I will not be buying any TV's from Walmart. read more

After using the online pick up for the first time my pick up time was between one and two I show up at one at 1:01 I get an email telling me my order is delayed. This is absolute BS that should not be over promising and under delivering to their customers I should not have to be waiting here. They knew long before I showed up to my order was going to be delayed and it was not ready. I ordered my stuff last night at 10 o'clock. Why I did not receive a message to my order had been delayed because for my pick up time is ridiculous. Walmart needs to get their shit together. read more

UNSAFE ENVIRONMENT I'm coming out of retirement for this review. Headline: Someone should tell the people of Redding in general and this Wallmart in particular that there is a global pandemic going on and because of this, wearing a face mask and social distancing will save lives. This isn't opinion. It's science. I visited this location on June 4, 2020. While in the store I encountered at least 150 people including employees and counted a total of 8 face masks and zero social distancing. It was incredible, ignorant and frightening. Besides the fact that there is a mandated California requirement for masks, this location had zero intent to enforce it and apparently the good people of Redding don't give a shit either. I felt bad for the workers there we were picking up an order and the girl that came out to bring us our stuff was soaking wet cause they couldn't provide rain coats for them. if your paying them to work you need to provide them with protection to keep them safe this girl could of gotten sick . such a sad place to work just seeing how the employees are treated. read more
