I just recently picked up some new seasonings that I wanted to share. The truffle garlic parmesan sea salt is delicious on popcorn & baked potatoes. I haven't used or opened up the other seasonings. I would do that during the holidays but I can imagine they all are delicious. They are finishing sugar so I'm thinking baked cookies. Or maybe sprinkled on top of whipped cream with hot chocolate. I placed an order for curbside pick up followed all the steps before arriving - share location, check-in, arrived in my pick up time slot, etc. I sat there for 40 minutes waiting for my order before giving up and leaving. the employees seemed to be bringing one order out in a manner slower than you would think is humanly possible. read more

I frequent and spend quite a lot of money at the Walmart on Monocacy Blvd in Frederick, MD. I have been made aware that there is a manager there that has been causing issues with the prearranged Girl Scout Cookie booths. These booths are prearranged months ahead of time and paperwork is required to be filled out by a manager with approved times. All Walmart's in the area have participated in this once a year, 2 month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday only), event. This year, however multiple troops have had issues with a certain manager making security shut down our troops small table outside and make them leave. This is absolutely unacceptable. These young girls are learning self-confidence, and this manager has caused these girls and their parents distress and anxiety. Quite a few of the parents are siting racism as the reason. I would highly suggest that you deal with this manager quickly and publicly before multiple people take this issue public and to the media, hurting Walmart's brand and reputation. Walmart is the worst possible place you could go for an oil change or any other auto services that they offer! A family member had a brand new engine put in his vehicle. Then when it's was time for an oil change. He took it over to Walmart auto center on Monocracy. Later, there seem to be a problem so he took it over to a mechanic that installed the engine. The mechanic allowed him to see exactly what he was doing and what he found. Walmart had flooded the NEW ENGINE WITH TO MUCH OIL! They put way too much oil in!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU EVER GO TO A WALMART FOR ANYTHING TO DO WITH YOUR VEHICLE! Then about 2 weeks ago I had my car towed to an auto repair shop because it kept stalling on me coming out of the parking lot! He found that a part needed to be cleaned. Then he asked where do you get your oil change done? I told him at Walmart on Guildford. He replied that I would never have anything done there again if I were you and I'll tell you and show you why! I usually went there to get my oil changed and they had a long list of things they would inspect and make sure that they were everything was good! One of the items that they always did was making sure that my transmission fluid and all other fluids were full! I have all the paperwork to prove that they said they did these things! The mechanic proceeded to show me that the transmission fluid was so low that they could've never touched it let alone filled it up! Also, it wasn't time for an oil change yet, but he checked it anyway, and found that the oil was extremely low and very, very black! He said that they haven't changed the oil in your car the last time and probably not the time before that because it was so bad. It was completely obvious that it had not been done at all! ALL I CAN SAY IS I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU TAKE YOUR VEHICLE OF ANY KIND TO WALMART AUTOMOTIVE FOR ANY KIND OF AUTO WORK! You don't have to believe me, but take a look at the reviews! I feel really stupid for not looking at the reviews before I went there! There were a couple things that they told me needed to be done and at the time I couldn't afford it. So I asked friend about it and he said that the two things that they told me needed to be done did not need to be done! Lucky for me I couldn't do it at that time anyway! Will NEVER use curbside pickup option again. Got the notification that my order was ready for pickup (3 shirts, so not a large order.) We get there and the pickup spots are all taken. We find an empty parking spot, two over from the last curbside labeled spot. We check in, select the option for "lot full, parked in regular spot" and selected my car color (red) and received the notification that someone would bring the order shortly. After 30 minutes my husband goes inside and asks customer service if we can just pickup the order from inside. He was told no, has to go thru curbside. He comes outside and we continue waiting. Not a single person walking by looked our way. After an hour of waiting, he went by the curbside door and saw people just standing around. He went back to customer service and asked for a manager. All managers had just gone on lunch. So the customer service rep got a coach to come help. The coach went to the pickup and retrieved our order. He said that because we weren't in a numbered spot, it didn't show in their system so they didn't know where to locate us. What?!?! No one came out and looked around for us! I stayed in the vehicle with my service dog while my husband ran in both times. Not ONE PERSON looked for us. And we have a BRIGHT red car right next to the labeled spots so we aren't easy to miss. This was horrible. The one or two attendants that came out with peoples items took a long time in between each car. You don't know the reasons people do curbside pickup. And you don't understand the ramifications for others of taking so long with peoples orders. While I appreciate Walmart offering this service, it is not one we will ever utilize again. read more

I'd be lying to you if I told you I wanted to come here. The only reason I came here was because no matter where I had stopped before, I could not find the items I was looking for. So, on my way back home I decided I would stop here and give it a try. I guess I was lucky on my stop, because the items I couldn't find anywhere else, they actually had. Which is a rarity when it come to stocking ability of Walmart. I want to point out here that Walmart is becoming a bit like Dollar General now. They leave their stocking carts all over the place which makes for an interesting work of getting through the store. I'm not sure why they have the need to have all the carts everywhere, but it turns into a hassle. Once I had all my items, I hurried up to the front to pay and be on my way. This is bright and clean , but they should restock the shelves when closed , Not when it's open and busy. They are short of help in all departments except for the pharmacy. They especially need more regular cashier's during opening hours. . *** Handicap parking is always a problem, people Park half or part way in their space and taking over the yellow stripes area that are for people who need the space for there handicap Ramp. *** People are still parking in the "fire lane" or completely on the big "sidewalk" 0by the pharmacy can entrance and the Grocery entrance. They need more Police officers out there to give out violations. Walmart has many cameras outside. To observe a violation. This place makes you wait HOURS to get one Pickup of a turkey and no one else gets anything ethier

On 12/29/23 I Went Grocery shopping at this location North Frederick, on RT-26 & Monocacy Blvd. They just switched from plastic to paper bags. One of Groceries bags was half full, but at the bottom where all the sides come together to form a bottom was Not glued together properly. When I had transferd my Groceries from the basket to my car ,... (The Bottom fell out ) making the bag useless. I had to go into my apartment to get a heavy duty trash Bag to put my Groceries in and Carrie them in to my Apartment. *** Also there is Not a built in handle to help carry the paper bag. Like there are on seasonal gift bags. ** This is a very bad ideal to switch from Plastic to Paper Bags. It won't last long .. Walmart will get more complaints. read more

Do not order delivery groceries from Walmart. After three horrible experiences, I am finally through. On three different occasions, including today I didn't receive my frozen items. Hugely inconvenient. On one order when I contacted them about the missing items, the items were delivered, but I was not notified they were delivered and they were just left on my front porch to rot. Animals and insects got to them before I was aware they were there. What a mess!!! read more

This is a good Walmart. It was clean and had a variety of items. We breezed through finding all what we needed or wanted except for Clorox or Lysol wipes. We used the self check out and there was someone there to assist us with that process. read more

All though I went here on Super Bowl Sunday with the crowds, and the place was packed to the rafters with people sticking up on unhealthy snacks... It's the best Walmart in Frederick! Sorry it should be the it's the better of if the two Walmart's in Frederick! It's all shiny and new, the associates actually help you. Non of that running off and pretending it to work here malarkey. Self check out... thanks to whatever happened in this area.. perhaps it was loss prevention.. or maybe someone who was just miserable in their own skin.. but it is more than obvious that management has totally suck the life and amazing personality out of who I personally found to be one of their greatest assets at this location.. This Walmart was our saving grace. We had been to store after store in search of plant based Dino nuggies. NO LUCK! We were on our last leg. Hope was no where in sight. Yet we persisted. Walmart is Walmart. At this particular Walmart, I had a terrible experience with one of their employees. I believe Bart is his name. I stood outside while my sister ran in to quickly grab an item 10 minutes before they closed. This was during covid when they changed their hours so we did not realize they were about to close. As she walked in the store, Bart told her to stop and leave since they were about to close. She insisted on grabbing her item quickly (which I understand is an annoyance for anyone who is trying to clock out and get home). He then called her a stupid b**** audibly as she continued on. I confronted him as name calling is never acceptable in a customer service role. He then got in my face and started name calling me. A requested a manager and told her what happened. I am surprised he is still employed here after they know about his unprofessional behavior. read more

Walmart's are usually bad, but this one takes the cake. They have no bags over the meat section. Could have contamination all over from leaks. They don't have a lot of items all other places have. Very limited. No bulk dish rags. Had no sleds, but full of 100$ bears that can double as a fury costumes. Disgusting. Checkouts say you didn't scan something, while you actually did. Either prices missing or on wrong shelf. You can't get assistance anywhere in the store. Frederick, please get a SuperTarget. Until then, will start shopping in VA. read more

I like going to the cashier Sam. He is very friendly, has a good pace when checking you out, tells you the total, is overall a great person. The store itself is fairly clean. One word of advice don't go hungry cause there is a subway as you walk in. read more

I'm very impressed at this Walmart ( in comparison to others ). It's done a great job adapting to new situations and changes mandated by the pandemic and usually has everything I need. But again, it's Walmart - a store for the masses. The workers are generally friendly and helpful and the store is clean and neat. It has a nice sized garden center and they run an organized pickup area. The lot is large but the entrance into the lot is terrible seeing it is at the front of the store leaving cars struggling to maneuver around customers who are entering and exiting the store. They could easier add access to route 26 to alleviate this issue. read more

If there were no stars...I will never order online again! I placed an order earlier this morning for pick up between 2-3pm. I get an email 2 hours later that they were two hours behind, so I rescheduled to 7-8pm. I received no further emails with the status. My husband and daughter went to the pick up area which had 18 empty spots. They called the number that is posted. The manager spoke to my husband (which my daughter overheard) and was an absolute jerk/unprofessional. Then, an employee came out acting like an @$$/unprofessional saying that they are 2 1/2 hrs behind saying our pick up time would now be 9:30pm. Total BS! I cancelled my order. Tried calling the number posted at the pick up, received mailbox but it was full! Called the store, rang over a dozen times, no answer. Close this POS! So me and my mother went to get our tires fixed and they looked at us and did not help one bit and my mom had to bring her tire to the auto center and it took us an hour or so long for them to help us. WOW, of course all Wal-Marts are horrible to deal with but this one totally takes the cake. They have NO selection, NOT ENOUGH cashiers, their money order and Western Union machine is ALWAYS down, and their customer service is horrendous. They run on shorter hours, shorter staff, next to no stock at all, and they pay their workers $8.25/hr to not care about anything except when their next smoke break is. Tiny, always overcrowded, bad attitudes (all the way to the Store GM), and nothing to offer. I've been to smaller backwoods Wal-Marts in towns of 5000 people that have better selection than this one. I'm disappointed this happened from Wal-Mart, but I was straight up scammed and lied by this store. I made an online purchase last Friday and it said it was available for in store pickup at the store. Two hours later, I receive an e-mail from Wal-Mart saying my order was cancelled because they ran out of items in stock (so why did they say they had it in stock?). On the e-mail, it said NO refund was being issued because my was NOT charged. I was upset that my order was cancelled, but really wanted the item I purchased (X Box One bundle) for my son so I made the same purchase again, but this time to have it shipped so I wouldn't have to deal with any store issues. 4 days later, I tried to use my credit card, but I couldn't as it wouldn't work. I called the credit card company and found out it was frozen due to suspected fraud activity. It was frozen because there were 2 separate $308 charges to Wal-Mart, 2-hours apart but for the exact amount of money. It turns out Wal-Mart DID CHARGE me for the first X-Box One I purchase and then refused to give me a refund stating I was never billed, which was a LIE. The only reason I even found out that Wal-Mart LIED to me and stole over $300 from me was because my credit card company figured out something wasn't right. This is ridiculous. When I contacted Wal-Mart after finding this out, they didn't even care about what a major mistake they made, costing me hundreds of dollars that I would have lost had my credit card company not frozen my account when they realized Wal-Mart was doing some shady and illegal stuff. I've now been told that I will get my refund for my cancelled order 5 days from today, which is ridiculous as the order was made 5 days ago as the refund wasn't even processed until I found out Wal-Mart lied to me and STOLE my money. Now I have to wait a total of 10-days to have money refunded to me that should have NEVER been taken from me to begin with! I will NEVER do business with Wal-Mart online or the Frederick Monocacy store ever again! read more

I placed an on line order for pick up same day and waited and it continued to say pending. I waited and waited until I realized it wasn't changing 4 hours into the wait time. It was now past the pick up time. I then attempted to call the store for another 30 minutes and could not get anyone to answer the phone. After repeatedly calling for an extended period of time I finally was able to be put on hold for yet more time. Finally I spoke to "William" who claimed to be the manager and said he didn't know anything about the order so once I shared the order number he confirmed it was never pulled. Now it was much later in the evening and I just wanted to get a resolution which my only choice was to cancel the order. In the meantime they had already CHARGED my credit card. Also, when speaking to the gentlemen I found out he was the assistant manager of that department and not the store manager. He told there were no managers to call exception 1-800-Walmart and then hung up the phone. Now I know why I haven't been to this Walmart since March 13, 2020(Pre COVID) and today is February 7, 2021. I have been traveling across the DC and MD area looking for a Elsa's Ice Castle for my daughter. Five Walmart stores in the area said that they had it in stock with no luck. This Walmart though had the nicest associate that searched for it throughout the store and found it for me. After "Santa's" promise to my daughter to show up on New Years with only to find out that her castle was not arriving till a week later because of bad customer service. The nice woman with short dark hair in the Pick Up area saved the day. I have a feeling other stores may have had it, but didn't look as hard as she did. Clean store. Very courteous, helpful and polite employees. Great selection of products. The Pick up desk is available in a good location though which is more convenient for shoppers. This Walmart's pharmacy is also convenient in that their staff are very polite and available to assist with Mobile Express on the Walmart phone app. read more

This Walmart is horrible claims to be 24 hours. I make a purchase of dole banana orange pineapple juice get home to realize it expired three months ago. I drive back to Walmart get there at 10:15 PM go to customer service desk rudely Odessa says we are closed I ask for a store manager she says we don't have a store manager but there's a manager. Tyler the manager comes up I explain that the juice is old I wanted to exchange it he told me sorry were closed. Told me I had to come back another day or go to a Walmart closer to me. The hours online or false this is not a 24 hour Walmart the cashier and manager are rude.
