At this location, Home goods and TJ MAXX are under one roof. Which I love. You can stroll into both stores with your items and pay for them together. The store is neat and organized because seldom do I ever find a nice TJ Maxx. Only bad thing is they barely have any clearance items unless someone cleared house. They do have nicer items at this location then their surrounding locations. They definitely get A+ on checking you out but if you're on the floor and you need assistance, good luck. read more

It's interesting that I can't find reviews for the TJMaxx that is attached to this Homegoods. They are conjoined twins, and you can walk from one store to the next without going outside/through the front entrance. And yes, this location had been closed for a very long time after a tornado damaged the building a few years back. I did my main shopping at TJ Maxx, but also shopped at HG. They are well stocked. And the displays for furniture pieces were beautiful that day. They are still keeping track of the number of people in the stores abc from what I saw, were cleaning carts. I don't like the shared checkout. The line is always too long, even when the volume is low to medium. This is why I can't rate this location higher right now. I ventured out to this Home Goods with the hope of finding unique items. This store was immaculately organized and well stocked. Every section had shelves full of items all neatly placed and displayed. Even delicate glass items had ample space so that you would not have to worry about picking up an item only to have the one next to it fall over. It was quite impressive actually because it made navigating the store that much more efficient for a bargain shopper like myself! Moving onto customer service, it was quite pleasant being greeted by more than one sales associate on the floor. It made the store environment welcoming. During checkout, the wait was not long at all and the checkout process was seamless. Plastic bags were free since it is in Carroll County - an added bonus! read more

The best Homegoods I've ever been to and I'm a junkie and visit them all over. To the people who complained about it being closedthe town of Mt. Airy was hit by a tornado and the building suffered extensive damage. Thankfully no one was injured. The store is slated to reopen 2/1/19. UPDATE: NO IDEA when this place will reopen. They could've built an entire new building at this point. read more

Poor Covid protection. Was in a narrow, closed in by 5 foot shelves on both sides, check out lane. Right in front of me, 2 young women who refused to put on their masks--were talking the whole time. Then, when checking out, one put her face almost up to the poor cashier. I asked the manager to enforce a mask rule only to find out they don't have one. This last I verified with the HomeGoods customer service department. So, if you're trying to be sensible and avoid unneeded exposure, don't patronize HomeGoods. read more

A great place to shop for the house. We recently moved and did most of our shopping in HomeGoods, T.J. Maxx And Marshall's for our new home. We stop in the store often to try to catch the new inventory. If you see something you like you better get or it will probably be gone when you go back. Today we bought new pots for our house plants for $5.99 each. Anywhere else they would have been $12 to $20 each. read more

Meh... some things are great, but you really have to pay attention to quality. Almost everything here is cheap China imports... occasionally you can find that "perfect" item. The worst part is checkout.... I've never -- NEV-VER -- had a good experience. Even though they recently remodeled their checkout system, it still sucks ass. Sorry, just being honest. read more

Holiday hours online specific to this location and what was physically posted on the door saying they were opening at 9:30 were incorrect. Did not open until eleven. Management failing to do the simple things led to the 1 star review. read more

This is a very large Homegoods connected to TJMaxx. I came on a weekend afternoon and everything was well organized. The kids section was especially nice. They had a variety of toys and u like other locations the books were well organized and in new condition vs ratty looking. There was quite a long line but it moved fairly quick since all cashier registers were open. read more

The Mount Airy store has a great selection. Better than many of the other stores in more populated locations in my opinion. I always find something! Plus the staff is very friendly and their lines move fast even if it's crowded. It's worth making the trip! read more
