The staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. The male owner was describing all of the musical instruments to the kids in the store and encouraging them to use them and make music right then. Their gallery was nice, even though I didn't really have time to take it in and enjoy the culture as it was. After being buzzed in, I had about 20 min to view their selections before being shooed off by a member there. The person that attended me instructed me to set up an appt as he 'had to get back to the shop'. Understandable, but couldn't I have lingered and enjoyed on my own to possibly acquire a piece? Truly disappointing service considering I drove from out of state to show support. Owell.

I recently visited LUX Boutique in Westminster while looking for a good pair of jeans, and I have…read moreto say--the quality didn't disappoint. The denim felt sturdy and well-made, and the associate who helped me was genuinely kind and attentive, which I really appreciated. That said, I was a little hesitant about the price--$140 for two pairs felt high for a small-town boutique. Out of curiosity, I looked up the return policy after my purchase and was surprised to see that they offer store credit only, even if the items are unused and still in the bag. While I completely understand that small businesses need to protect themselves, I do think a slightly more flexible return option--like even a short refund window--could help ease concerns for new customers. I wouldn't have minded if it had been clearly mentioned at checkout, but it caught me off guard after the fact. The store has a unique selection, though the style leans more toward bold, statement pieces like puffer tops and chunky jewelry, which may not be for everyone. I didn't see much else I wanted, so store credit wasn't the most helpful solution in my case. I love supporting women-owned businesses and truly want to see LUX succeed. With a few small updates--especially in how policies are shared--I think the boutique could be even better and attract even more loyal customers.
