The night before my daughter's first birthday trip a drive from Aliso Viejo, California to Phoenix, Arizona I was loading the car around 6:00 PM when my tire warning light suddenly came on. With a long drive ahead early the next morning and a one-year-old traveling with us, this immediately became a stressful situation. In South Orange County, most tire service locations close early. After being turned away by Costco, I made my way to Walmart, one of the only places still open. Although I did not have an appointment, I explained the urgency of my situation and how important it was for my family to be on the road by 6:00 AM the next morning. That's when I met Ruben. Around 7:00 PM, Ruben took the time to help me, patching my tire and ensuring my vehicle was safe for the trip. He went above and beyond what I would expect from any employee. He showed genuine care, urgency, and professionalism not because he had to, but because he wanted to help. I even offered him a gratuity, which he kindly declined. He simply helped because I was a father trying to take his family on an important trip. Because of Ruben, my family was able to make that drive safely and enjoy a truly special weekend celebrating my daughter's first birthday. It meant everything to us. Ruben is an outstanding individual and a true example of what great customer service looks like. Experiences like this are rare, and they are exactly why we continue to shop at Walmart. Who doesn't love Walmart? It has everything at this store. From Pharmacy to sporting goods, clothing, food, toys, and electronics as well. I came in to grab a few workout clothes as well as free weights. Then walked by their toys sections and grabbed a few Legos. Then headed to the skincare sections to see what's new and on sale. Finally grabbed a few frozen food and fresh produce and I was on my way. One stop shop for all your needs. An added bonus is that their prices are quite affordable so if you buy too much it's still an overall good deal than compared to other stores. Located in Foothill Ranch with plenty of parking. There's even Electrify America charging stations for your eV. They have self check out as well as regular check outs. If you have a few items you can purchase them at the Pharmacy. Those guys are knowledgeable and nice and will help you. Only downside is that they need frequent cleaning of restrooms. I feel like every Walmart I go to has this issue. Maybe it's just more customers using it??? I'm not sure but I feel like it definitely needs to be cleaned and restocked. read more

Each time, the anti-reflective coating failed prematurely, including the most recent pair after only three months, despite following all care instructions. A staff member, Romeneh, consistently advised me on proper lens care and recommended specific cleaning solution and microfiber cloths to protect the coating, which I followed exactly. Despite this, the same coating failure occurred again. When I returned last week requesting a refund, I was told defects were not covered without an additional warranty that had never been disclosed at the time of purchase (for an extra $25 - as if i would have denied that after a $500 purchase, and two times failure). I escalated the issue to corporate but have not yet received a meaningful response. This has been a very frustrating experience given the repeated failures of the same product. read more

Here at Walmart foothill Ranch, they have a lot of groceries as well, basically everything one could need. I've been coming to this Walmart for about a year now, and I'm a loyal customer. Not only does Walmart offer everything I need at a low price, but one of the main gifts I receive come from their employers. Specifically their Asset Prevention staff that greets customers and checks their receipts. I've come to know them quite well and EVERY time I see them, i make sure to say "God bless you" to see the smile on their faces just as much as they make me smile. I feel like this Walmart is the worst. Every time I do a pickup order they take over an hour. Such an inconvenience what's the point of pickup. The workers are all slow and have no sense of urgency. Then when you call the order pickup number or operator for the main line no one answers. I left after 40 minutes and I shouldn't have even stayed that long. My groceries were finally delivered by a very kind and courteous man who apologized for the 2 hour 15 minute wait on a chilly evening. Nevertheless, I will not be using the Walmart Pickup again. This was such a great benefit when it began- it's a very good idea for busy families and for disabled and elderly folks, but somehow the entire system broke. Found a pair of shoes on sale for five dollars, when I was at the self check out, they rang out for regular price, the associate there rolled her eyes and told me that she could not override anything more than $15 and told me to "You need to go to the fitting room and tell her to do her job! if she would've updated it in the system it would've came up correctly. I can't do anything for you." I was so confused, I clarified and asked "wait, So you want me to leave my stuff here and go to the fitting room and tell her to do her job?" She said "yes, I can't do anything for you" and walked away.. I went over to the fitting room and the woman that was supposed to be but was not there, the phone was ringing off the hook, she finally showed up and asked me " what do you want?" I told her that I was sent by the employee at checkout so she can override the price, she immediately interrupted me and said " they keep sending me people, I did my job, you tell her to override it, not my problem!" I told her that I'll go back and tell them exactly what you said; but I told her also that it was absolutely ridiculous, the whole situation & the way she was speaking to me, as I was walking back to the self check out, she hustled up behind me and went to the station and started bickering with the other employee who told me to relay the message of " do your job!" They both tried to manually override the shoes for the proper price and were bickering the whole time, I told them that this was absolutely humiliating, and that I would be happy to bring it over to customer service. They canceled the transaction, printed the receipt out, Balled it up and threw it towards me into the garbage and walked away, talking shit about me, I went over to customer service and waited in line for 45 minutes at customer service it took three employees to figure out how to put the proper price on these shoes, it became a meeting of the minds and on top of that all the other customers were in line complaining! Rightfully so! A A customer in front of me said he had been there for an hour and 20 minutes and that there was only one employee working AND that the employee was helping somebody do a Western Union money transfer, didn't know how to do it and was there SO LONG that they had to leave for their lunch and have another employee who ALSO did not know what they were doing take on the customer. None of the employees know who the manager is, all of the employees are completely irrational and delirious and it's absolutely insane that they get paid to walk around and bump into each other like a group of babbling idiots.. DO NOT PURCHASE PHOTOS HERE I ordered 200 Christmas cards from this location. I only received 100. They refused to answer their phones so I went down to the store in person. By the time I realized my order was half missing, the photos were no longer in their system, so they cannot be reprinted. Photo center tells me they can't refund me because I ordered online, that I need to call customer service. Customer service says they cannot refund me either, that I need to call in the morning to talk to a supervisor. Walmart basically stole from me and is offering no solutions. I had the worst experience tonight at Walmart and this will definitely keep me from ever shopping there again. I purchased an item online (a recliner) that said it had heating and massage pressure points. Well to my surprise the massage was only very uncomfortable vibrations and the quality was not the $300 that it cost. I filled out a return form and all the emails I got and confirmations all stated if I did not have a box, to not worry because they would box it for me and to just take it to any Walmart store. We packed or all up in a car with a toddler and headed to the store in the next town over. Riley, the first young man we spoke to was nice and led us to the customer service desk. Tammy the lady there was rude, mean and just looked like she hates her job. Without even asking about my return she said right away she wouldn't do it because we didn't have it boxed. I explained what the emails said and didn't seem to care. She called some other people up to help me and a man named Fabian told us the same thing. I showed him all the emails and what they said about not needing a box and he said no. When I asked for the store manager he said he was the highest employee there and it was his decision. I am disappointed to say the least especially because that is FALSE ADVERTISING!!! We ended up having to put it all back in our car. We have also escalated this matter to corporate and have contacted attorneys. I hate to take it this far, but false advertising is a crime. No where on the emails or website say that I have to package it myself and instead says the opposite. I cannot believe the experience I had today. The woman at checkout ST#02218 OP#003870 TE #19 TR# 09337 was so unbelievably rude and disrespectful. I have been a customer support manager for about 10 years and this woman would've been fired immediately for how she acted towards others. Firstly, the customers in front of me had a melon that didn't have a sticker. She started complaining and slamming her hands down because she didn't know what melon it was and because there was no sticker. She was getting angry with them for there being no sticker. Seriously? My turn-I let her know I needed cash back and that my one item would be for my cash back transaction and the other items (separated by the separation bar) would be a different transaction. She says "ok". So I request $100 cash back, the till opens and she reads the screen and slams her hands down and says with an extremely condescending tone, "you didn't ask me if I had $100, I don't have that in my till, I just got here I don't have that" and I responded CONFUSED "oh! I'm so sorry I didn't know" and she says "you have to ask when requesting the maximum cash back" so I said "I'm sorry I was not aware of this I just requested it on the pin pad and told you ! needed cash back" and she said "you were aware of the maximum though right?" And I said "well yes because the screen said so LOL" like what? She then leans over to apologize to the ladies behind me for "the inconvenience of this" insinuating it's my fault, then we wait 5 minutes for a supervisor to finally get there and tell her "oh you have enough in here just give her this" (a 50, (2) 20s, & (2) 5s). Excuse me? So now she starts running up my actual transaction and is slamming stuff down on the metal plate in the middle of bags and I now know she's going to say something about bags. Right as I'm about to tell her I need bags she looks at me and snaps "what're you gonna do with your stuff you don't have a cart!" I said "well if you had just asked if I wanted bags I would've told you I need bags" and she YELLS "then bag them yourself they've already waited long enough!!" About the ladies behind me. Who I've also apologized to for this employees ridiculous attitude and then having to wait. They also apologized to me because they understood this woman is unstable. I have never in my life experienced someone so nasty and rude. You should be nowhere near customers and fired. Absolutely outrageous and unacceptable even if you're having a bad day. read more

If everyone were being treated this way, that would be one thing but it feels like it's only me and my family. I'm only going to talk about what happened today. When we entered the store, everything was fine. However, when we were leaving, the employee at the front was having a conversation that lasted around two minutes with a customer who was already done and leaving. During this time, a line formed. After waiting about two minutes, my mom skipped the line and left because we had somewhere to be. I'm sorry, but you are paid to check receipts, not to hold conversations while customers are waiting. I had an appointment at 4:00, it was 3:18, and there were four other people waiting, not including me. My mom had already paid and walked out with her receipt in hand, and I followed directly behind her. Even though you clearly saw us walk in together, I was stopped and asked, "Did you have a receipt for that?" I was holding $1.50 worth of tomatoes. The repeated implication that I'm stealing every time I walk in is disrespectful and exhausting. To make it worse, as I walked away, the employee shook her head, which felt extremely unprofessional. I paid, and the self-checkout attendant can verify my purchase if there is any concern. If this is how customers are going to be treated, I honestly wouldn't recommend shopping here. We had to carry a TV by ourselves to the front of the store that was so big it took three of us to lift it And they had some nerve to not even cut the sensor off at the self checkout since we couldn't stand in line due to the size of the tv. And then they wanted us to lift it to the customer service to get the sensor off after we paid for it. WalMart RSM pickup nightmare. I have bought 1 item from them online with a pickup. I have come there, and since it was a very hot 95 degree day, I went inside. A sign above Customer Service said "Order Pickup" among other. There was only one service person, and the line was moving very slow. When I had finally come to the counter, a lady there said "go outside". I pointed at that sign, and she just shrugged it off. There was also a nice poster with a manager's picture, a phone number, and the words "call me if you need anything". Well, I called and ... was greeted by their classic automated phone system. No manager there. So, I went out, parked in a PickUp slot and called the number listed there. 15 minutes later (yes in the heat, no shadow there) a man brought my item. It was broken and leaking. I asked him to bring me a replacement. Another 15 minutes went by, and a lady comes with 2 items. One was that original broken item, and the other was a different product. She said they did not have them anymore. I requested a refund and she had left. 20 minutes later yet another person has come. He asked if I wanted a refund, and I told him I said that 20 min ago. He went inside (and I am still there in the heat) and came back 10 min later telling me they had issued a refund to my credit card. No receipt. I am wondering what would they do if I had a heat stroke and died there. That policy of pickups restricted to the parking lot is a very big liability for WalMart. So, don't put yourself in such a predicament. Avoid WalMart at RSM. read more

Walmart is still a good place to shop for name-brand household goods. They just remodeled the store so it takes some hunting to find items on my shopping list. Part of the remodeling is to add more self checkout stations so hopefully shoppers can get in and out faster in the future. Walmart has a guy stationed by the exit who will mark your receipt when you leave. I often wondered why he is there if Walmart does not its associates to stop shoplifters when they leave. Employees in that section seem poorly trained and not suited for their roles. Even after waiting in a long line around 6-7 p.m., issues were not handled properly. Auto Center Came as a walk in to get an oil change. I do expect a wait time since I didn't have an appointment. BUT! Every person was rude or confused. I pull up and one person says that another person will help me once he's done. Then that person is done and ignores me. When I ask what's going on he responds with "do you have an appointment ?" When I let him know that I didn't he responded "you're going to wait a long tome" then he drives off to service a car doesn't bother to even log me into the system. I wait, and go back to ask that same guy where can I check in, he point at the guy who initially told me the other guy would help me. So then I get upset and ask what was going on and I didn't have time to just stand around. I get ignored but one of the guys and then they pretend like they don't have three other customers waiting. Finally some younger guy checks in my car and I felt bad for him because he seems new. They check in the car give me a sticker and I leave. 8 min after driving off in my other car I get a txt saying "Walmart: Action required to continue vehicle service. Please call us at 9495887923 or visit the ACC service desk. Reply HELP for help; STOP to stop" Concerned I call and the phone rings non stop. I had to turn back and pull up to ask what the issue was since no one answered. The same guy who checked me in said he forgot to call me to let me know not to worry. That they had to pause my service since they are so busy and that it will notify me once it's done. Annoyed I asked him why he didn't just disclose that before I left so I wouldn't have to waste my time. He made multiple excuses and I asked to speak with the manager. Oscar comes out and I explained to him how unprofessional the experience has been and that everyone is pretending like a walk in is not accepted. He apologized and said they were short staffed and that he'll work on teaching them about customer service. I leave and come back four hours later to see my progress. Car is still not done and a different guy now tells me that it could take up to closing time if not they will have to do it tomorrow. Blabbergasted I look for Oscar and ask him why my car would potentially have to take until 7pm if not tomorrow if I dropped off my car around 9am. Multiple customers had the same issues when I was waiting and you could see how they treat everyone with the same lack of respect. Do better Walmart.
