This Target is superior! Never huge lines, always enough staff working to help with questions and check-out, even the Starbucks line isn't ever too long. It's clean, neat and bright. The phone signal is awful in here though, that's the only drawback haha. Great market, I actually get groceries here weekly. Plenty of wine too - great alchohol section. The parking is plentiful. The cashiers are very friendly and helpful. Great sale prices on things that are similar to Amazon prices. I called about the stock of an item today and called not only the front desk several times with no luck, but also the food and beverage department over and over with no one ever answering. This Target is a little out of the way for me to travel to, so I really don't drop in too often unless I'm in the area and in need of a specific item or two, otherwise I normally shop at the branch in Rancho Santa Margarita or Foothill Ranch, Lake Forest. I think I'm also much more used to the layouts at both of those branches because I was a bit thrown off when I recently shopped at this location. All of the sections are in a completely different sequence, so I was a bit discombobulated as I tried to quickly get around the store. Sadly they didn't have the two items that I specifically went there for (Levi's wedgie jeans and a specific sponge for the kitchen) , so I ended up not getting anything there. read more

I'm lucky to live by 3 targets within 10 minutes and I try not to visit this store unless I have to. Now I won't ever come back. 1. A year ago, I was followed by a racist man who accused me of stealing. Target said they were not affiliated with him and apologized for his conduct. It never sat well with me that they didn't do much on the spot, I had to seek out a manager even though this was done in front of numerous employees. This incident was bad but I forgave and moved on. 2. They close their doors way before their posted times. They actually block the doors with the carts. I get it you want to leave but you can't really do that as a business. 3. They announced they were closing and shut down their registers while there are people still in the store. I arrived at the register with my food items at 10:04, probably took me 2-3 minutes to walk from the aisles and they refused to check me out. I was stunned. Not apologetic just cold, said they were closed. I had three boxes of ice cream that I had to drop right there. I don't know what point they're trying to make but it seems like most of the bad experiences occur at this location by the reviews. The standard for customer service has gone down. read more

This was probably the worst customer service experience I've ever received in my life. My fiancé needed an item for a science experiment as soon as possible because she's a teacher and could not leave her class. She placed an order through the app using her work credit card. I wanted to help out by picking up the item. The item was not ready even though it was placed over an hour ago. Therefore, I quickly grab the item in the store and brought it to customer service. I explained to them my situation and how I needed this as soon as possible for a teacher. Rob, who was the customer service agent, could care less about my situation or the lack of urgency to proceed the queue. Rob's apathy was evident all over his face. I asked if there was anything he can do to help me out because I'd rather not pay with my own personal card since my fiancé used her work card. Again, he said there was nothing that he can do. I asked how long it could take and he could care less and just said "I don't know." I've used to work in customer service and I know there are ways to make exceptions or at least give the customer a heads up of how long this will take. Rob has "helped" me in the past and has always had a hateful heart towards me for some reason. I really hope management sees this and has a conversation with him on how to deliver better customer service. Thankfully, there's a lot more targets in the area that I will shop from now on. read more

I shop here (online) all the time and have items shipped to me and for the most part everything is great. Products are correct, not spilled or broken. I learned not to order food items- it will all be crushed! BUT... when I have to go into the store to do a return or a pickup... oh boy, what a nightmare it is! Sometimes there is no staff in sight or sometimes a person is there who clearly got no training and is totally clueless. Just going in yesterday reminded me of why I shop online to avoid the process of dealing with the employees. When I got to the guest services line there was 7 of us in line and no employees in sight. We were all just looking all around and looking at each other, like what the heck is going on. Eventually an employee did show up (like 10 min later) but it was very slow moving. And the most annoying thing was that many employees walked by and saw the huge line forming and just ignored it. I totally get it if guest services isn't your department, but you cant take 2 min to grab a supervisor and let them know that there are lots of frustrated people waiting and no guest service employee in sight, so that the proper person can be sent over?! How lazy can you be. I have worked in customer service for 21 years, with 10+ years in management and I can say if these were my employees, they would all be fired. Just unacceptable. Being short staffed is one thing, but at least 5 employees walked past the huge line and no one said, gee, let me see if I can find out what the delay is, or let me grab another associate for you. This Target is knowingly closing all 4 of their self-checkouts to force customers to go through their standard registers. They have been closing them more and more recently; this store is the closest "grocery" store to our apartment across the street and when I went there today, I entered the store shortly before 12:30pm. When I went to check out, I went to use the self-checkouts before seeing they were once again closed. I asked the employee who was standing around doing nothing but watching the registers if there was a problem with their self-checkouts, and she told me TO MY FACE, "No, we just shut them down to ***encourage our cashiers to work***." Excuse me? 1) I am a long-time hourly employee at a major corporation and if I knew my managers were speaking about ANY employees this way, I would hit the literal ceiling. No employee deserves to be talked about that way to customers OR TO ANYONE. This is completely demoralizing and unprofessional. 2) The sheer confidence with which this employee said "to encourage our cashiers to work" makes me think she says similar things along the same lines frequently, like it's a joke, like it's OK to be abusive and dismissive to people who are actually standing in a checkstand, helping customers, while she stands there and stares at the people who are actually doing work. NO. 3) Simple math: if you have 3 checkstands open and they all have lines, at what point do you realize, "Oh, our customers don't want to wait in this line, I should open another register." APPARENTLY NEVER. 4) Self-checkouts do not exist for YOUR convenience as a business, they exist for OUR CONVENIENCE as shoppers. Since this is something I have to explain to you, I will be shopping elsewhere. I don't want to support a business that has such a low opinion of its own employees. Walmart keeps their self-checkouts open all day. And has better prices and availability. Just get there early to avoid the crazy people. read more

My wife just came home from the Target across the street. We've noticed frequently that their self-checkouts are closed at peak times of the day - I run a major grocery chain location and the FIRST thing we open in the morning are the self-checkouts, even before the regular registers, and they stay open all day. Since we've seen these closed so frequently - and we use them all the time - my wife asked the employee standing at the end of the registers watching all the cashier if something was wrong with the self checkouts. The employee said, "No, they're fine, we just close them WHEN IT'S SLOW to ENCOURAGE OUR CASHIERS TO WORK." HOW is that how you run your business?! All 3 registers had lines. "Slow" or not, customers want to be able to run in and run out of your business and not have to talk to anyone else. And your employees! How do they feel working there if that's how people are speaking about their work ethic TO CUSTOMERS!? We will not be shopping here again. This store has too many issues with their prices not matching their tags and we've let it slide because they are the closest "grocery" store to our home, but we can't support a business that behaves this underhandedly to its own employees. The checker I had today was kind of sketchy and out of it. The first thing I lay down is my recyclable bag; so she asks me if I wanted a bag. I handed her $30.00 for my purchase. The receipt says I gave her $22.00 and then an additional $7.00 (=$29.00). The receipt says with what she entered that I should get 0.41 in change when it should've said $1.36. What she gave me for change was $1.17 cents. I asked for a manager and she didn't seem to concerned and gave me an additional 0.20. I was watching the checkers screen while she was getting my change and it said the change I was due was over $4.00? I'm no mathematician obviously, but can anyone explain this to me? I know there are all sorts of ways to scam the man and the customer, but this is over my head! Watch your receipts people!!! read more

I'm so over this location! They are continually out of stock on so many things. Their drive up order option is a joke. Says on the app that the order will be ready in 2 hours or less, but they constantly take 4-8hours. Their staff is also grossly uneducated on where they work. Since they don't offer an option to decline bags when your order a drive up/pick up order you have to decline when you arrive, however most of these kids working for them don't know how to operate the system so you are almost always charged for bags you didn't even take. If you call the store they just say they can't refund the cost & the online help isn't any better. It's laughable. Stop offering a service you can't support!!!!! Their system should at least update you when your order will be ready, if not in the 2hr window, but I guess that's like asking for a miracle read more

The new Ulta inside this Target is better than the regular Ulta. Better staffed. Brittany gave me the best customer service. I asked her to recommend anti aging liquid concealer, applicator brush, and setting spray. I usually just use mineral powder as a foundation but I needed something with more coverage and moisture. I've lived across the street from this store since the day it opened. It used to be great. Whoever manages this place just doesn't care, or they just do t make enough as a store to justify hiring anyone. It's is woefully understaffed. And as much as I can't stand the self checkouts that are everywhere now, (I should get a discount for doing your job) they can be helpful if you need to grab a couple things. They are constantly closed. I was just here at 8pm on a Wednesday, and there were two people checking, that's it. Other employees are walking around doing nothing. Sadly, this seems to be happening everywhere now, but this location has just gone to absolute crap. No wonder everyone shops online. It's barely worth going to a physical store. Ever since this place was built, I have stopped in when needing something that was not at other stores. This was not my regular shopping place. With the COVID-19 issue going on, I have been impressed with how this location has adapted. Being able to find what I need online, order and have it ready for pickup usually within an hour (the website usually sets expectations at 4 hours), is much appreciated as I don't want to be walking around this large store searching for items. Customer service when picking up my items has been exceptional. I am greeted and always directed on where to go, and my order brought to me promptly. I will definitely be shopping here more after we get through COVID, and will continue to shop primarily here during these times. read more
