Great fully stocked Walmart pleasant employees and prices were reasonable and fresh produce. If I lived here I would do all my shopping here!

What shopping Dec. 23rd felt like.

I popped in for a Christmas present item I knew the store would have without having to drive to many smaller stores. I walked around a bit observing the wild animals in the zoo and and after poking my head around long enough I jumped into the line with the slowest cashier on mother earth. The guy in front of me and I got to chatting coming to the conclusion that she was wonder woman helping out other cashiers with how often she momentarily stepped away from her post. I thought this line would have been quick, the people all in front of me minus the person who was getting checked out all had very few items which I thought was s godsend. Nope, fools gold. I tried to escape to the line next to me but was too late. So I stuck it out. When I finally did get checked out my five items literally took all of two seconds to process and I was out the door. I looked back and wished everyone behind me best of luck (in my mind). As I walked to the car, which ended up being on the complete other side of the parking lot, I seen the man who was in front of me in line and did I ever laugh coming to find out we parked next to one another. I said to him "great minds think alike" and laughed, "both picking what we thought was a quick line and parking away from all the traffic". Wished the guy a merry Christmas and off we both went. That's the end of my story. In all seriousness I hate Walmart and only come in during essential times like bathing products and the random bulk beverage buy (once/twice a year). I watched employees stand around on their phone, arguing with customers about what's a mountain bike and what's not (that customer should have went to an actual bike shop, silly her), and be typical stereotypical employees. The store itself was a lot cleaner than expected, especially two days before Christmas. Social distancing was clearly not being enforced (not that I care) but when mom and pop stores play by the rules and I see superstores open the floodgates for mankind it really grinds my gears. All the employees had masks and gloves on so that was a bit of a surprise. The picture I attached what these superstores represent during the busy times. If you do not have the staffing to open all the lines up then staff the open lines with employees that can keep the lines moving. What better way to minimize people on top of one another than a quick checkout. That's in for my rant. Good story with a review of my observation. Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year!

I understand that retail jobs are much harder than most people assume. I'm sure there are hard workers in this store. But what the hell. How can one Walmart be SO bad? I avoid it at all costs but had to get something from their pharmacy today. They have a lot of new security measures set up, not sure how much was covid regulation and how much is just because they have the worst shop lifting problem I've ever heard. They have "security" people standing at the door, but they are literally just young dudes paying no attention to their surroundings, playing cell phone games. I don't know how much of this store's terrible vibe is employee related however, this place is seriously child abuse central.

Cream of the crop come here, let me tell you. Takes all walks of life to make the world go 'round and you definitely get that here. Now there's nothing wrong with anyone in particular, but ever been on the website People Of Walmart...... This store always has what I need and then some. It's honestly huge. Thinking about it now, hours later after today's visit, I think it's got to be one of the biggest around. Some sections can seem a little "warehouse-y" but again, this store's never been for looks. Most employees keep to themselves, unless they're engaged. Which I guess is a good thing? My favorite thing about this location is that they have the deli/hot food ready for you to grab and eat. Not all Walmart's have the yummy wedge fries and popcorn chicken!

There are public police records of this event taking place on 12/7/2023 if anyone thinks I'm making it up. (Simply go to the CPD to have the record printed.) I called the police myself right after Fruit Fair threatened me. I needed to tell my side of the story because this was a disgusting injustice. The police officer who came to my home was so kind & understanding! He & the 911 operator explained to me that there were absolutely no records of any 911 calls coming from Fruit Fair on 12/7/2023, so Fruit Fair also lied to me about calling the police on me. The police academy teaches cops that diabetic shocki mimics drunkenness, so he understood me. He even offered to go to Fruit Fair & educate them. He kept asking me if I was okay over & over again. Amazing officer! Fruit: There are fruit flies swarming the fruit, especially the tomatoes! They lay their eggs inside the fruit. You will be sick if you eat it. Deli: There is a CONSTANT swarm of flies at the deli & the deli workers are RUDE! Frozen Food: Their freezers constantly break down, then work again, which refreezes everything. They have boxes standing up, so when their freezer breaks, all the food thaws out, slides to the bottom, then refreezes. This malfunction also causes mold. The 3rd problem is freezer burn; Lots of it. Returning anything when Sam is around is a nightmare. She is a narcissist who believes she can do no wrong. (I pity her husband bc he seems like such a sweetheart!) Sam always gave me a huge problem when I returned food...She once followed me to the parking lot to question why I was returning food! Source: MyHealth.Alberta.ca With diabetes, your body either doesn't make enough insulin or can't use it as well as it should. Diabetes is a chronic (long-lasting) health condition that affects how your body turns food into energy. Your body breaks down most of the food you eat into sugar (glucose) and releases it into your bloodstream. When your blood sugar goes up, it signals your pancreas to release insulin. Insulin acts like a key to let the blood sugar into your body's cells for use as energy. With diabetes, your body doesn't make enough insulin or can't use it as well as it should. When there isn't enough insulin or cells stop responding to insulin, too much blood sugar stays in your bloodstream. Over time, that can cause serious health problems, such as heart disease, vision loss, and kidney disease. There isn't a cure yet for diabetes, but losing weight, eating healthy food, and being active can really help. Other things you can do to help: Take medicine as prescribed. Get diabetes self-management education and support. Make and keep health care appointments. Diabetes by the Numbers About 38 million US adults have diabetes, and 1 in 5 of them don't know they have it. Diabetes is the eighth leading cause of death in the United States. Diabetes is the No. 1 cause of kidney failure, lower-limb amputations, and adult blindness. In the last 20 years, the number of adults diagnosed with diabetes has more than doubled. Source: CDC

However, today, a January Sunday noon, I've experienced some that never happened before for more than 10 years. That bad feeling is really not good, and I believe no one would take that. This makes a pretty bad day to me. At the self-checkout station, after payment submitted, I was ready to go. At that moment, I was questioned that if I scanned one of the items. I told her that was first one get scanned. And, I would have to ask her if she wanted me to take to "somebody". She immediately agreed and recommended me to talk to store manager. For 10+ yrs shopping there, this never happened before. As a long-term resident shopping for many years, once you got doubted if you've paid one of the items or no (that's just $3.99), would you feel that's kind of rude and negative to your reputation? Especially you serve local community for years, the career and the church. THe store clerk who questioned me seems was retired elsewhere and got rehired here. I'm not quite sure if she did her job or no (checked customers' goods all get scanned and payment cleared). Or, she just wanted to make people a bad day.
