This Walmart is always packed and some aisles are always messy. You can't even go in those aisles because there's no room to even pass by. There's too much stuff lying around. Many simple stuff are locked up which is totally annoying. The button to call the employee to come open up the locked glass doesn't even work so you have to go look for an employee that can open it. How about hire actual security guards instead of having the people who check receipts be the "security"? Also, those employees by the entrance/exit who check the receipts CAN ask to see the receipt, but you're not obligated to show it; you can just walk by them. This isn't Costco where you have to show your receipt because it's in their terms and conditions when you sign up... it's Walmart!! Take notes from target; barely any of their stuff is locked up. Also, the curbside pick up takes forever and the parking area for that is small and barely has any parking spots. read more

I waited over four hours for a delivery with very little communication and then when I went to the store to get the items no one was able to help me and I was greeted by an extremely rude employee. I want to preface by saying I really feel for Wal Mart employees - I have some friends who either work or have worked at Wal Mart so I know what it's like. I wish they were treated better and given better pay/benefits. That said, the way me and my disabled friend were treated tonight was nothing short of hostile if not directly threatening. We went in just before closing, and by the time we had checked out and we're leaving the door we came in by was closed. They said we had to walk around to the other door then walk further through the parking lot to get back to our car. My friend has trouble walking due to a past surgery so we asked if they could just let us out the door we came in. The man said no, so we asked if he could call a supervisor. All well and good, right? Well about 5 minutes later a massive security guard comes over and tells us to leave. She said they couldn't open the door and to walk around. We continued to ask for a supervisor, at which point the guard became visibly upset with us. Another employee said to my friend "well you were walking around fine before, you should be able to walk further around to get back to your car." I was mad that she was insulting us and questioning my friend's disability. I wanted to say something back but thought it best to not provoke her, and to just let her walk away. Then 10 minutes later the security guard returned, this time with 4 other people clad in work pants, steel toe boots and black shirts. I'm assuming they were stock workers but had no name tags. I hear her say "Jesus Christ, they're still here?" Um, yes, we're waiting for the manager to talk since you told us to wait for him. At this point I'm scared. I don't know if the cameras are still on, and it's just me, my buddy and a ton of workers who are all pissed at us somehow. Literally all we did was calmly ask for the door to be opened. Finally, one of them walked us to the door and opened it with his key. Literally ALL they had to do was have us wait for the guy with the key to let us out, and instead they made a massive show out of it as what, a threat? Like wtf is wrong with you? read more

I popped in for a Christmas present item I knew the store would have without having to drive to many smaller stores. I walked around a bit observing the wild animals in the zoo and and after poking my head around long enough I jumped into the line with the slowest cashier on mother earth. The guy in front of me and I got to chatting coming to the conclusion that she was wonder woman helping out other cashiers with how often she momentarily stepped away from her post. I thought this line would have been quick, the people all in front of me minus the person who was getting checked out all had very few items which I thought was s godsend. Nope, fools gold. I tried to escape to the line next to me but was too late. So I stuck it out. When I finally did get checked out my five items literally took all of two seconds to process and I was out the door. I looked back and wished everyone behind me best of luck (in my mind). As I walked to the car, which ended up being on the complete other side of the parking lot, I seen the man who was in front of me in line and did I ever laugh coming to find out we parked next to one another. I said to him "great minds think alike" and laughed, "both picking what we thought was a quick line and parking away from all the traffic". Wished the guy a merry Christmas and off we both went. That's the end of my story. In all seriousness I hate Walmart and only come in during essential times like bathing products and the random bulk beverage buy (once/twice a year). I watched employees stand around on their phone, arguing with customers about what's a mountain bike and what's not (that customer should have went to an actual bike shop, silly her), and be typical stereotypical employees. The store itself was a lot cleaner than expected, especially two days before Christmas. Social distancing was clearly not being enforced (not that I care) but when mom and pop stores play by the rules and I see superstores open the floodgates for mankind it really grinds my gears. All the employees had masks and gloves on so that was a bit of a surprise. The picture I attached what these superstores represent during the busy times. If you do not have the staffing to open all the lines up then staff the open lines with employees that can keep the lines moving. What better way to minimize people on top of one another than a quick checkout. That's in for my rant. Good story with a review of my observation. Now, in this Walmart store, lot of black models' pictures, for male dressing, female's, baby's, everywhere in this store. Also, guys work for shopping carts collection, were seems all changed to black. Sometimes, security as well. For 10+ yrs shopping there, since middle of 2019, for a couple of yrs (It's much better now), there were serious bias, discrimination, and even hate crime out there. And, it was worse after complaint getting filed. Store supervisor even mentioned for a couple of times - "(Things get worse because of) Complaint against Latino??" One thing must be mentioned here- A guy who wore security suit. That was about summer of 2021. This security guy should be sent from security company, he wore a broken mask. There was a obvious hole outside of and in the central of his mask . He wasn't willing to explain why his mask was broken. How could a security guy wore a broken mask in a Walmart shopping center during covid-19 pandemic? This guy is time to time still in the store close to east entrance door. Once store lead said he speaks Spanish but no English, which could be why this guy appears rude sometimes (because he doesn't understand English). The issue is: it seems the store lead scared to send out any complaint against this Walmart security who wore a broken mask and appeared very rude because he can't understand English. The reason was explained that Walmart cannot override the security company because this guy was sent by security company but not Walmart. Or, it's up to the security company but not Walmart. Or, Walmart has to follow up security company's lead. Some like that. read more

Disgusting!! This place was filthy. I stopped in earlier tonight and did a little shopping and yes they had everything I needed and more but the place was gross. And to top it all off I went to a self check out because of the 2 dozen people waiting in line with the 3 cashiers they only had. The self check out bar scanner and debit card button screen looked as if they were covered with snot and Covid-19. After checking out it was mentioned to a walmart manager but she had never to say. I avoid it at all costs but had to get something from their pharmacy today. They have a lot of new security measures set up, not sure how much was covid regulation and how much is just because they have the worst shop lifting problem I've ever heard. Cream of the crop come here, let me tell you. Takes all walks of life to make the world go 'round and you definitely get that here. Now there's nothing wrong with anyone in particular, but ever been on the website People Of Walmart...... This store always has what I need and then some. It's honestly huge. Thinking about it now, hours later after today's visit, I think it's got to be one of the biggest around. Some sections can seem a little "warehouse-y" but again, this store's never been for looks. Most employees keep to themselves, unless they're engaged. Which I guess is a good thing? My favorite thing about this location is that they have the deli/hot food ready for you to grab and eat. I was at Chicopee Walmart today. I had a couple items in my hands already and needed hair dye. Ofcourse the hair dye is locked up. So I could hear a young woman in the other aisle talking very loudly on her cell phone. Dropping the F bomb left and right. Said when she gets out of work she's changing her clothes and going to fuck someone up! I politely asked her to get something for me. She came over, still talking with her friend on her cell phone, still dropping f bombs. She unlocks the cabinet so I can get the dye. She tells me I have to pay for it there instead of walking through the store with it. ok fine. So I walk over, the guy sitting there says I have to wait for a Manager to come over to get him a code for something, no big deal. I'm waiting and he says, but you have to give that to me. Where did he think I was going to go with an $8 bottle of hair dye? I had $40 worth of other stuff in my hands, $250.00 in cash and a Designer purse. So I handed it back to him. Told him, "I'll tell you what, you can give this to the girl with the truckdriver mouth so she can put it away. I will go to the Ware Walmart from now on where they do not treat you like criminals". I am so disappointed , I had been shopping for a christmas tree at walmart online and then I received a notice telling me they had a 6.5ft tree with lights on it and the picture of course looked very full and pretty and on sale for $39.00 , well of course I bought it. The worst store in the area. Employees are rude, ignorant and useless. Needed spray paint that and had to wait for 3 employees to finish their conversation , looked at me like I was bothering them. The girl would eventually helped was talking on her phone. Went to electronics to buy an item locked up, one woman rudely said she didn't have a key as they were right in her hand, asked the 2nd boy girl person who also had keys said heshe didnt have keys! Couldn't buy razors locked up cuz no one to help and if you find someone they "don't have keys"!!! Walmart, the store to offer you the worst possible experience and then check your own self put as everyone stands around talking, use paper bags the rip like tissue and to top it off they want your receipt as they treat you like a thief. Had to call Walmart this morning 4x before they picked up and it after 8 and they open at 7am. Bought a serent collar for the dog and when I went to put it on the container was empty. I called to make sure I can explain and return the product. The place is always a mad house, from parking to checking out. On top of that, the selection and service usually sucks. My fiancé was called for an interview and a few days after that, was offered the job. Whoever called her wasn't even the same person who interviewed her. The women left a voicemail said she needed to come in that day by 3pm i'm assuming to fill out paper work. My fiancé wasn't able to make it (too last minute), she tried calling back but she never was able to get through seeing as the women was speaking so fast in the voicemail and had a very heavy accent so we couldn't figure out what her name was. My fiancé kept leaving her information with other people and nobody EVER called back. How are you going to offer someone a job and then ignore them? Trash. read more

While in the Chicopee Walmart parking lot I passed by a bunch of syringes on the ground. As I walked in I went up to the security guard and proceeded to tell her. She didn;t seem like she would do much about it. Upon my exit from the store I told two employees at the customer service area and none seemed to care and had no interest in doing anything as the first employee. One employee said that there were there since yesterday. They know, but did not care. This is an important safety issue. I had an expired drivers license as my new license hasn't arrived yet and expired last week on my birthday. Along with my week old expired ID I had my social security card. Credit cards and debit cards. They would not let me return a defective item because I had no receipt and my ID was expired. Mind you. I am not driving in Walmart. I am identifying myself. Does that expire also? Am i no longer the person on the iD? This kind of logic is mind boggling. And says a lot about who they hire. Misrepresenting themselves as supervisors.
