Target is one of my go-to big box department stores whenever I travel. This particular Target inside of the Holyoke Mall had all of that, and more. It's a bit tricky to find the entrance to this store from the outside of the mall, as it's located up on the second level of the parking deck, and you have to wander around the inside of the mall before you find the entrance. Once inside, you'll find a very clean store with quite the selection of merchandise. The health & beauty area is located near the back door to the parking lot, and that's where I found the low-priced travel-sized toothpaste, mouthwash, razors, deodorant, etc. After that it was up and down the aisles of the grocery section, and a quick tour through all of the general merchandise. Do yourself a favor and look through the greeting cards section while you're there. These are some of the smirkiest and most hysterical cards that I've ever seen, and I'll usually pick up several to send out to family members throughout the year. They are seriously funny, and in some cases, wildly inappropriate. Currently 2 years into their freshman year at Amherst College. Marshalls, The redheaded stepchild of the bunch. Endured constant abuse from the other siblings. We shuffled along, looking at shoes, clothing, sleepwear. Nothing appealed to us. We figure the things one sells, the others sell, but for some reason, on this particular day, we didn't seem to connect. THEN, I saw a pair of black leather boots, Franco Sarto, for which I had long ago given up the search. They were there, and they were in my size,and they had only the one pair. I grabbed them, tried them on, and was thrilled to find a good fit. I would have happily paid full price ($125) had I ever found them during my original search (I had seen them at a high-end store, but not in my size). These were priced at $89. I walked out happy. My daughter, a lover of snacks, found several bags of goodies that she liked, so she did, too. I have since gone back three or four times, but am now convinced that, for some reason, it just isn't as great as the others. So we still make the longer drive when we need a Maxx run.
