    When the box was opened

    I ordered a wedding gift (a blender), paid for the gift to be wrapped and delivered. When it was delivered, the blender box was opened; rough looking as if it was a returned item and a miserable red ribbon was attached. I paid the $6 Macy's charged so that the gift could wrapped, not a ribbon attached to an unwrapped half opened box. I am very disappointed. Macys could do better. If Macy's advertised that it will wrap gifts, and the customer paid for that service, then the gift should be well wrapped or don't offer that service.

After being lied to about when the jacket would be in, the supposed 2 weeks I had before my even were whittled down to only 4 days by the time the jacket came in. Then when I came to pick it up, it was damaged and they supposedly "overnighted" the same jacket from another location, however it took another two days to come in. Day before my event now, still no call about the jacket coming in so I called again and no one can find it, so as I'm about to get another suit at another store, they call and have supposedly found it, so I drive 45 minutes to Holyoke to pick it up only to be told they again could not find it when I arrived. Finally after 15 minutes a manager located the jacket in the back, but after all the trouble they only gave me a plastic bag for the jacket on a downpouring day even after purchasing a $500 suit because they had supposedly run out of suit bags. Absolutely will not be back as the communication and lack of professionalism was very disappointing.

I brought them back to mk today- they told me shoes weren't under warranty, ( I don't care, these are practically brand new they broke) the man working told me to pay a shoe maker to 'fix' them. I just paid $300 for them, now I have to find and pay a shoe maker? This store is a joke! Customer service was awful, the products don't hold up and clearly they don't stand behind them. I have just got the watch two days ago and that they couldn't give me my money back because the manager wasn't there. When I asked for the district manager they didn't give me a name. So I waited one week until their manager came back from vacation and she told me that they couldn't have sold me this watch and I swear that's how I got it.... And that they can't give me money back .. And they didn't even question the employee who sold it to us like that so I just put aside my pride and switched the watch DON'T SHOP THERE they look at you like your dirt. I work in customer service if I ever did what they did I would have lost my job. And now anyone who asks me I would never recommend going there!

Of…read moreall the times I have been there, I have only had one encounter where a salesperson was helpful and kind. Most of my interactions with the staff have been characterized by haughty attitudes and rudeness on their behalf. I have never asked for much beyond whether I could use the dressing room and still have been treated with disregard and most recently, with disrespect. On my last visit, I was being let into the dressing area and was asked if I was a cardholder. I told the salesperson I was. She told me I could get a 40% discount with my card. When I exited the dressing room to purchase my items I was asked again if I was a card holder by the same salesperson. I said I was. She then asked me if I was a recent and current cardholder. I told her I was. She furrowed her brow and asked if I was sure, and if she should "look me up." I told her I was and asked why she had asked me so many times. She walked away and disappeared into the dressing room area. I pulled my card out and headed to the counter to pay for my purchase. Another employee rang up my total and told me that the cardholder discount did not apply when I asked about the discount. I asked for an explanation and did not get one. The salesperson placed my items in the bag and, though I had my hand outstretched to take it from her, decided to toss it toward me on the counter. She did not look me in the eye during our entire interaction and walked off without a thanks or salutation. As I said earlier, I have never had many interactions with the staff when I am there and have never been rude or unkind. I have always had to ask for help instead of the staff asking to help me. I am a local professional, but I am also an Indigenous person and feel as if my appearance may have played a part my interactions with them. I honestly cannot think of any other reason as I have seen different treatment afforded for other customers when I have been there. Needless to say, I will not be back and am sure to spread the word. I do not think their attitudes or actions reflect the best sales practices or the reality of their brand, at all. They have elitist attitudes and are merely a lower, mid-level, retail chain. A smile and some kindness toward those of us who appear to be "other" could only help.

I was here when the mall got built and JCPenney has been part of my life for shopping anyways I gotta tell you the store is really gone downhill. I know there's a staffing issue with that. No excuse you never get help there anymore. People just walk out. You know the staff doesn't say hey welcome hey you're looking for something. Nobody helps you there anymore and used to be nice and clean in there and it's really dirty. Some of the racks of clothes are all messed up and kind of disappointing. I had an account there and I didn't use it for two years and they took it away on me and So. That was a bummer too not just Holyoke store. It's too bad. Nobody wants to work anymore people built these kids don't wanna work most of the kids on me, but they're good kids too. They have no ethics.

    This place use to be great. It has a new manager who is awful. So you go in an hour early as told, and there are 3 families ahead of you with only one person working, if you book an appointment expect to wait for at least an hour. They will repeatedly tell you they are almost done with the people ahead of you but its a lie. It takes an hour for each family. Which it should but they tell you to come early, and if you tell them on the phone you can't come early then what you booked, don't be surprised if they cancel and tell you to book some other day. It was never like this, they don't understand kids will not wait an hour all dressed up. I have waited for 2 hours before and the photography was rude and not good with kids. This place used to be fun for the kids to go to, now its awful photos and a horrible experience. I gave it 3 chances and it keeps getting worse. I will find some other place to get my photos done. The prices are way too high for headaches you have to go through
