There's something about this Walmart that I dislike yet I can pin my dislike on one specific thing.
Here are a few thoughts:
1. The Barren Land: If you been to other Walmarts, you will notice that this one is very empty. In fact, too much free space makes this place seem a bit off.
2. Well Stocked? Not really. They're suppose to have a lot of the staples, but on a day when i went in to redeem my free bottle of Suave shampoo, the entire section was wiped and no one bothered to refill it.
3. Poor Fishes: I swear my fish lasted 3 days. Poor guppy. Died so quickly and was probably dying at Walmart already. I pointed out there there were dead fish and a dead pleco in the tank. The Asian guy who worked at the aquatics section responded by saying, "oh? really? oh, well I will take a look, he's not dead". Right Mr. Nemo is floating upside down. Last that I heard fish swim buddy.
4. Poor Quality Plants for Aquariums: Man, granted the guy at the register charged me for a female guppy and instead of a plant saving me a dollar at the register, the plants died within a week despite me having experience with live plants. It didn't die because my shrimps ate it, but because the roots were weak and it was totally wasted upon at the Walmart aquariums. Not worth the 4.95 + tax per pot. Go elsewhere.
5. Hamster Bedding: Recession economy means even my hamsters butts need to downgrad. With that in mind, I bought some temporary "so so" bedding for them. Entire section was out of stock and I ask the person who worked there who didn't even know that the hamster section was behind me- started pointing me towards the gardening goods. Uh?
6. SLOW customer service/registers: So back to my fish story, I had wanted to buy a platy, but they gave me a guppy. Asian man who got the fish out literally net the guppy laid it down and said is this okay right after I said I wanted a lively fish- i doubt putting it in your palm and rubbing it with the net helps buddy. At any other aquatic store, he would have received the pink slip so fast. Now, when i was ready to pay for it, the guy at the register could not scan it right because the Asian guy had wrote down the number for a large jumbo goldfish. Poor guppy looks nothing like a goldfish. I'm guessing he did not know his fish types either. I pointed out I wanted a female and he asked me how can you tell? After the cash wrap guy said oh i can not get it to read as a lady guppy, I said okay just charge me something around that it's fine. "oh ok". Another time, this one cash wrap gal was yelling to her friends half the time she was servicing me. Whatever happened to the customer experience? I had my coupons and she asked me, is that it? another one? well you might as well shop for free! (okay so yes i love coupons but cmon' im not shameless either!). She kept debating with me that I got my gum for free both and I said the coupon is buy 1 get 1 free. She says again, well its under a 1 dollar so therefore they are both free so aren't you lucky. I pointed out that the max value of the other free item (2nd one) with the first cannot exceed the dollar figure. another "oh". long lines and very slow service- typical of Walmart.
