i am stunned at how peaceful it is here on a Friday night before Xmas. i even got a close parking space. "Attention Wal Mart shoppers."

The bar for walmart is already low. Extremely low for me. But this particular location near where I live has now disappointed and frustrated me so many times I HAD to leave a review. People here simply do not care about helping customers. They do not have the basic customer service skills and are so poorly managed it is outrageous. I come to buy things that are not at target. Such as ammo and certain pet supplies but as most people get sucked into other items. The manager is nowhere to be found...supposedly his name is Tyler, the cashier to shopper ratio is ALWAYS a joke. I am here now and they only have 3 for for the regular line and the place is really busy. And the ammo guy left somewhere with the case keys. Waited for 35 mins or more actually because 3 people went to look for him including an assistant manager and never came back to tell me anything. It is UNBELIEVABLE how comfortable they are at telling customers screw you. I could have left had I been told: hey we don't want to sell you this stuff and carry on with your life. But they tell you wait and never come back! Manager and lots of people need to be fired here. Calling corporate tomorrow! read more

Don't bother doing "site to store" here. No one mans the pick up desk. After waiting 10 minutes, an employee finally asked if I was being helped. I said no, so she said she'd call someone. No one came and I just left. Not worth the trouble.. read more

Granted this is only one experience, the online orders dept is a mess. I ordered a hand vac over two weeks ago and called about the status of my ONLINE order. Was put on hold for 10 mins and the lady returns to tell me they only carry it online. I proceeded to remind her I was inquiring about an online order. Another 15 mins passes and they hang up on me. I tried calling again and either kept getting hung up on or no one was picking up when I was transferred to the online dept. called the general 800 number and not much better. I would've paid a little more to get this item somewhere else and much quicker! I'd avoid online orders at the mountain view location and go elsewhere. read more

Kmart is pretty much gone. Now Walmart likes Kmart. Everywhere is messy. These days if you walk into the Walmart store in Mountain View CA, you will find you are in a construction site. Before everything was in order and goods are placed nicely on the shelf. You can easily find what you need and employees at Walmart are always smiling and helpful. Now some area is Frys' Electronics, some area is ROSS, some area is AT&T store, the old good fashioned Walmart store is chopped into many small pieces distributed sparsely. Employees do not smile to you anymore. They do not approach to you to voluntarily help you anymore. They looked upset about people. The Walmart.com and the Walmart store never work together. Last night I ordered a case of 5000 sheets of copy papers. This is one of the most simplest items to sell. Walmart.com tells me it took 4 hours to prepare. Then it said it will be ready by 10 am Wednesday, today. I went there at 3 pm. I forgot to bring my cell phone. An employee asked me for the order No. I said I did not have. But I can show her my driver's license and my credit card (used this card to order). She insisted to get the order No. I asked her if there is an internet access and a web terminal. She said No. Later on I went to the customer help desk and asked to talk to the store manager. A lady came to me. She was helpful. She took me to the employee. The employee still did not want to help. It seems to me that the manager reports to the employee. The employee said their system was down. She could not check anything. I told her this copy paper box is very easy to find. In their storage for Walmart.com, they did not have so many items because I ordered and picked up before. The employee still refused to help. Then the manager used her own cell phone to call Walmart.com. I was told their system was down too. Walmart is one of the largest companies in the world, how come their computer systems were down here and there all the time. What did Walmart CEO do everyday?! Anyway, eventually I got the order No. The manager helped me to write down and then she gave to the employee. The employee searched and said not ready. The manager asked where is Kevin (?). Kevin was supposed to help her. The employee said I did not know. You can tell the employee morale was low and employees do not work together at all. Later on, the manager asked me to see if there is a box. She asked me to just buy as a regular item without Walmart.com. I found the item in 30 seconds. I could not understand why it took the Walmart store so many hours to do it and at the end they still did not do anything. This whole experience was so bad. Originally I thought I could save myself some time to order online and then pick up at the store. But I ended up with costing me 2 more hours. Walmart and Walmart.com are stupid. For such simple things, I do not understand why they could not do it correctly. Worst case they can send a fax from Walmart.com to the store and hire someone to pick up the item and mark on it. My conclusion is Walmart CEO got to be gone. read more

This Wal-Mart is alright... but it's crowded like any other Wal-Mart. The parking lot here is horrible because so many people do illegal acts like cutting through the parking spots and such. The employees here are okay since I didn't encounter anything unusual. Overall, I would only come here if I'm in the area because the 20 minute drive isn't worth it. read more

For a company that is supposed a great corporate success story, I was appalled at the customer service I received (or more appropriately, did not) over the phone trying to find out if the Mountain View store carried a $700+ free-standing firepit that Wallmart features on its website. The operator connected me to the Garden section 5 times with no answer, then she (best service of the whole experience) physically went to find someone. When he finally got on the phone, he had language difficulties with English (I had to repeat myself several times) then told me "oh no, we don't carry that in the store only on the website." And we wonder why brick-and-mortar retailers are losing out to online sales. read more

I hate this walmart! It's a chaotic mess all the time. I'd rather keep my sanity then save a few pennys.

Terrific prices. Where else am I going to get a pair of nice dress shoes for 24$? Payless is in the same shopping center, but recently changed suppliers; Payless shoes used to last 2 years, now they last 2 months. Ross is also in same shopping center, but no dress shoes at any price. There is always plenty of free parking. The store is never any more crowded than Costco, but there seem to be often too few cashiers at both chains. read more

Walmart is very understaffed and not so well priced as they would like everyone to believe. I finally gave up waiting in a very long line to purchase just a few articles, so I left the store and went over to Target and found the very same price for the same articles. I always liked Target and think I'll go back to do my shopping there instead of Walmart in the future. I thought I was saving money by buying at Walmart, but I prefer Target for shorter lines and faster service and it doesn't have the ball-bouncing by kids in the aisles, nor all the screaming kids and rude customers trying to push by in the cramped aisles everywhere. Walmart needs new managers to get the store properly staffed and moving their customers through the lines faster. read more

I agree with most of the other reviews here--this particular Walmart leaves waaaaay too much to be desired. Have shopped many Walmarts, and this one is definitely below par. I have, however licked the horrendous parking lot. I just park across the street at Target and WALK. That way I get my exercise and two final rewards--(1) I can shop Target for those items I could not find at Walmart and (2) it doesn't take me 30 min. to get out of Walmart's horrendous parking lot!! read more

I bought one bike and left the bike at store; they said tomorrow morning it will be assembled for sure and they will give me a call. But they did not so finally I called them for confirmation so that I can come and collect. When I called them they put me ON HOLD for 15 min initially then second person came and again ON HOLD for next 10- 15 mins. Again some person picked up and I asked for Store manager they said he/she is not here. I was like stuck. Walmart always have affordable prices. Specially for household items, electronics and gadgets. But parking is nightmare at this particular location. Also, this location is little dirty and not well organised. But I will still keep on going to Walmart because of their pricing. read more

The staffs and doctor were very cool. Eye checkup doctor was very friendly. At First, I provided a wrong insurance card and I forgot that I had different insurance for Eye care. Since the co-pay was too much I realized I provided a wrong insurance card, The staff was very cool about it and asked me to print the actual insurance with their system. I will recommend this vision center for checkup and eye glasses. read more

Worst customer service! I went here last night and shop first and I asked the cashier that I want to buy stamps. She said I have to go to customer service. So I fall in line, and then the customer service named ANNA I asked her I want to buy stamps. And then she told me she doesn't have stamps only the manager. Then she called the manager, the manager I did not ask the name (blonde, white and huge) she told her that she doesn't have stamps and she called another manager, but no manager showed up. I got upset because I saw them helping all the people but no help for me. I keep asking ANNA that where is the manager for the stamp. She said the manager already called the manager. And I got upset because I felt that I got discrimated because I've been seeing them helping people except me. I told her I need to go to work too but ANNA keep ignoring me. She's helping customers except for me. I've been waiting and waiting for the help but no manager came until I decided to leave this store.later on, I went through website (last night) because I'm upset and sent a complain to run the camera so they could see how I got treated by them. Until now, no response from Walmart. If I don't get answer from Walmart I will call and file a complain against this Walmart store. I got discriminated by them. They should close this store because they don't know how to treat the Filipinos right. I'm a Filipino and I got discriminated by them. Went there several times with ok exp. till date. Sometimes the queues are long on weekends for billing which they can improve..Self check out line is also long so 1-2 times i had spent a longer time standing in the line than collecting my stuff from store!! read more

Great place, very nice and humble staff. I mean if you are on a budget you do not have to face those snobbish store assistants. At this store people are just like me, they are friendly and very helpful. I have never had any problem returning items. Once I lost my receipt of an expensive item, so I came back and asked for a copy of the receipt just in case I need it as proof of purchase for the warranty of the item later on, and the customer service supervisor name Emily asked me to provide her with the transaction date, and they have been able to find the receipt and gave me a copy. Unbelievable! I feel like this is my home store where I am welcomed and taken care of. Great store, great staff (some of them look like my grandma :-))) Great job Mr. Manager! read more

I sometimes shop here. The merchandise is OK except for the bikes, which are no good. I bought a bike here last year, and started falling apart two weeks later. The layout is somewhat confusing, but that's typical of big-box stores to encourage impulse purchases. The prices are what make Wal-Mart the go-to place. If you're looking for a bike, spend an extra couple hundred at nearby Off Ramp. If you want better quality merchandise, just cross the street to Target. Another alternative is Sears in the same shopping center. read more

I have been dealing with this WalMart Pharmacy for about 6 months for a friend. They seldom have the prescription refills ready, sometimes they have the WRONG prescription and the pharmacist doesn't seem very intelligent! My friend has her prescriptions at WalMart because supposedly you can get $4 prescriptions - she has never gotten a prescription for that price. When I questioned this I was told it was because she didn't "qualify." Their advertisement doesn't say you have to "qualify!" My friend takes about 20 prescriptions and we are moving them, every last one of them, to another pharmacy. Today was the last straw, her med. was increased but rather than filling the increased dosage (double the last dosage) the pharmacist just changed the instructions to take 2 pills and filled it with the 30 pills at the old prescription level. It took me a good 10 minutes or more to make him understand that by taking 2 pills the 30 pills he filled would only last 15 days! How can a pharmacist, dealing with precription dosages as his job, not understand this. He kept saying, "she must take 2"," duh... If I could give zero stars I would! read more

I have been in this Walmart a couple of times if Target across the street is out of something that I am looking for, but only as a last resort will I go to this store. The first time I went there I was purchasing a toy for my son and when I went to pay for it the price was higher than the sign, so the cashier called the toy department manager, a Hispanic female came over and right in front of me pulled off the sign and said "oh, it was priced wrong" and walked away! WTF! Not even offering to sell it to me for that price, she vanished! Poor customer service and a bad attitude. I couldn't believe it. I think the cashier was a little surprised also, but had no authority to do any markdown what so ever! So Walmart, you better invest in some customer service classes for your managers. Walmart is across the street from Target and is quite a completive area. They have great prices but the selection of products is small.

I do not want to give a bad review to this store, but I hate going there. The store has a good choice of decent quality cheap items, but it is so crowded. I usually go there twice a year to replenish my household items. If I need something extra, I would go to Target and pay a little more, but no crowds. Walmart is good for red ring online. read more

I went to this store yesterday. I waited in line for 30 minutes while the cashier was ringing up one customer. I do not know what the problem was as she didn't have that many items. I watched other people get out of line because of frustration. It looked like there was no manager on duty, as anyone who went to assist this cashier would push a button and walk away. No attempt was made to call for more cashiers. No eye contact was made with those of us standing in line patiently. I will not shop in this store again. read more

Worst customer service ever and long lines that take forever. If you ask an employee a question they are never able to help you because they don't know anything. Most of the employees are also elderly people who take forever at the cashier or don't understand you when your looking for an item around the store. Avoid this place at all costs, they carry the lowest quality products by underpaying their employees and shorting their suppliers. All ethics aside, WALMART has amazing prices; I'm a bit ashamed to say that I've been a WALMART shopper for as long as I can remember. However, I HATE THIS PARTICULAR WALMART. I know the employees get treated like shit, but I've never been to one where they treat their customers like this. The lines are horrible and the checkout people are slow and rude. I've had several bad experiences and have seen countless people having horrible experiences. Last month I stood in line at the service counter for over an hour while the only lady in the store who could issue a money order went on break and had to be called several times to come back. While I was there I overheard an argument between a cashier and a customer. Apparently he had been standing in line for over 20 min when the cashier finally told him that he couldn't be standing there and accused him of cutting in line. If he did cut in line, I understand he should be told to move, but really, don't make him stand there for 20 min before you tell him. I also once stood in line at the fitting rooms where the lady manning the doors let two people who spoke to her quietly cut me in line. At first I thought they were other employees and thus didn't say anything but I soon realized that they were trying on clothes too. Furthermore, the last time I was there, I saw a bottle of soda which had spilled on the floor and seemed to have dried. Several employees walked by it pretending it wasn't there. I can overlook a little disarray in the store, I don't care that much if all the employees aren't that knowledgeable about the merchandise's whereabouts. But spilled soda that looked like it had been there a while, rude and slow cashiers, plus the long lines make me regret going there every time. I've been WALMART free for about a month now, and until I find a better one, I'm not going back. read more
