I had a pretty good experience at this particular site ( maybe becasue it was a weekdaY), I been to a couple of walmarts & i have to say that this one was by far the cleaniest,there were no toys, or food items on the floor, things were not all jumble dup on the shelfs, it seemed very put together,, there wasnt alot of people/traffic, nor were their long lines, & i've suffered through some long lines,ok, well not really because I have no patience at all & i usually just leave/ So besides that I'd guess my suggestion would be go during the weekday, i mean in anyform weekends are always worst for restaurants, malls, & the theaters as far as the team members go, i personally didnt need their asssistance that day as I already knew what i needed & where I needed to go. The lack of cashiers & employees, messy aisles, and poor customer service is what would prevent me from coming back. This Walmart is a notch down from the other ones: 1) It closes early (10 or 11 pm) 2) Messy! with boxes in the aisles, unorganized shelves, and stuff from other sections scattered all over the place 3) Horrible layout (the stationary area is in the back corner next to the electronics. Why?) 4) Long lines due to limited cashiers - the line is going into the clothing section, open more registers maybe? When I come here, I don't feel like looking around. Rather, I rush in and try to pick up whatever I need quickly and get out of there. The place so dark and gloomy inside that it totally brings you down when you are in a good mood and steps on you further if you are already feeling sad. This walmart is great because it's about a 5 minute drive from my house. It's also located at the downtown buena park mall area, which is handy when I'm shopping for multiple things. Problem with this walmart though, and the reason for the 3 stars, is that it's never fully stocked. Particularly in the beauty section. Other than that, the cashiers are very friendly and helpful. The doormen and women are usually seniors, and are adorable. They check receipts. I've seen a few people try to sneak things past them, but they are very sharp! Good job, team! read more

Not a bad Walmart, but due to it being connected to the east end of the Buena Park Mall-- it can get quite crowded. Parking can sometimes be a challenge as can check-out. Some cashiers move at a rather slow place while others can just breeze you in and out. Lots of foot traffic here-- especially with an in-store McDonalds right by the stores passage way to the mall. Waited for 45 minutes still a no show so I left terrible service. If you don't want to help paying customers then at least give keys to lower management. I must say this is one of the most clean Wal-Mart's that I have seen in my life. To start the parking lot gets awfully crowded, I hate the fact that there are always solicitors outside. Or people trying to have you sign petitions. I've had my share of unnecessary encounters with mute people, homeless, and all other type of weirdos which kind of makes it a drag to walk into the store and shit yourself off to them outside. The store is very organized and clean, but truthfully I always encounter immature customer service managers screaming across the store to communicate, completely unnecessary! I automatically direct myself the the cosmetic section when walking into a drugstore, the selection here is poor and hardly ever stock up in products that they run out of. This is one of the best Walmart stores I've visited. Clean, helpful employees, and good selections. The only thing I'd ask is that the store would carry fresh meat - as they do have a pretty well stocked grocery section. That would save many of us from having to make a separate trip to the grocery store; at least until it is time. read more

This is an awful Walmart. Employees seem undertrained, and are unable to answer many basic questions. The pharmacy department took 17 minutes to figure out they didn't have my prescription, and another 12 to figure out how to take my information to let me know when it came in, all of which I stupidly stood at the counter for. I needed 4 keys cut. One wasn't possible because the car key cutter has been broken for months, and the other three took 25 minutes, because the poor guy at the automotive counter had nobody to help him with the 8 people that kept demanding to be helped. The "grocery" area is less well stocked than some gas stations, and is, in its entirety, barely larger than the frozen food section at a larger grocery store. 3/4 of everything useful in the sporting goods area is sold out, and no matter the time of day, the checkout area is an absolute madhouse. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 6 minutes to the one on Euclid. read more

The make up section is so trashed!!!! I see women every time young and old by the way, open up containers wipe the foundation and test it and then put it back and keep testing several foundations. I had to pick up some final items for a new job including black shoes. I found some I liked, but they weren't the right size. I found an associate working in the area, and apologized for the disruption and asked if the size I wanted was available. She point blank said no. I asked for a continually for any assistance and she did not want to help in fact she became very rude and asked me to step aside to continue putting up shoes. Finally I went to guest services for help which the lady said would be of little help, but they were much more helpful than that lady. Apparently it's also common practice to send guests to customer service to look up things associates on the floor didn't want to look up. If the Customer service people at that store weren't helpful there'd be no point in going to that store. That particular location needs to retrain their sales associates on the floor. I was extremely surprised how rude and lack of helpful behavior was, and they need to support the customer service area better. read more

I want to give this store 0 Stars. No where on the website does it state customer service closes 1 hour before the store. Tried to make a return with the customer service registers still open as they were helping another customer. However, with 3 employees standing around talking, Ahmed, the lead said they could not help me because customer service was closed, 3 employees couldn't take the 2 minutes to complete my return! It's not the best Walmart that I've been to but I've been going to this location for 7 years now because its close to my house and on my way home from school. They have a decent supply of everything and even have a McDonalds inside. There have been very few times where I have to go to a different store to find what I am looking for. The store is decently clean but some of the shelves are a mess. A few times the cashiers have been rude but most of the time I go to the same cashier and he is very nice and friendly. I mostly walk and bike here and shop by myself because the parking lot is so crazy. The store is usually crowded but I'm used to it. The best time to shop here with out it being crazy is the first hour it opens. There are a ton of bike racks around the mall so if the one in front of Walmart is full there's always another one. I mostly go to this store for books, movies, party supplies, holiday shopping, and toys. They also have a great stock of movie/tv show shirts. No complaints except that their toy section is very small and they don't have any blind boxes, funkos, or other collectable things of that nature. For those I have to go to the Fullerton Walmart. The few times I shop for groceries it has been okay. Some of the fruit looks old and gross but so does some of the fruit at Target and grocery stores. read more

She asked the reason for return, and I said I didn't like the item, then she stared at me " if you don't like it, why did you buy it?" Oh gosh, she really hit my nerve. She kept zooming in and out the item even though I haven't opened it, then she asked me why it has a stain on the kit? How the hell I know while I haven't touched it? They then told me to leave because they had called the police.WTF? I love Walmart, it's where I always shop for the great prices and deals however, this one star review is for the lack of cleanliness of the woman's restroom. Every time I go to this Walmart or any other Walmart, more than 80% of the time there is no soap in the soap dispenser in the restroom which means dirty hands, dirty germs all inside Walmart. I may have to start carrying my own hand sanitizer before making my trips to Walmart. Very disappointed in that aspect. read more

Blanca, one of the manager here in la Palma Walmart was very rude and not helpful at all when I asked her if she can assist me. I was just at Anaheim Walmart and Beverley, one of the support manager there was very helpful and she even went to their trailer storage to find the plastic cabinet that I was looking for but they don't have it so she checked which Walmart has it and she said that this Walmart in la Palma has 11 in stock but when I ask BLANCA from la Palma Walmart if she can get me more on the stock but she replied that the storage was far and she will not get one for me. Instead, she showed me other another kind and just to get those. But I told her that I want the specific kind that I was looking for but she got irritated and stated she can not help me. I got the WORST customer experience from this place. I spent all day driving to this store because they had Sony EReader on display for $199.95. But when I tried to buy this reader I found out they gave me the lesser 5" model, good thing I checked. When I asked if I could get the model that was on display which was a 6" touch screen he rang it up but did not tell me the price was going to be $325 + 19.95 extended warranty which I did not want. I asked him why so much he deferred me to another clerk and left. This other clerk tried convincing me that they did not have the model I wanted in stock even though I tried telling her they did and that I had it in my hands. She even tried blaming me for not calling ahead to make sure they had it in stock! Where do they get these people? read more

My hubby surprised me on Black Friday by purchasing a 65" TV for a ridiculously low price at Walmart. I couldn't believe that he got it. I thought for sure that they would only have a few for sale. They sold out of the stock they had in store....so they were giving the "guarantee cards". My husband got one, but we had to wait for the TV. They guaranteed it by Christmas. So my husband bought it Black Friday, we got the email that it was available for pick up on 12/17. We picked it up 12/21. So,,,,we waited a few weeks. Not too bad. We went into Walmart,,,,,which was packed with holiday shoppers. There was a special line in electronics for "pick ups". It took about 20 minutes from getting into line, to heading home with our new TV. Super quick and easy. This Walmart knows how to provide the product, and hustle to get their customers out and on their way. Im NOT a fan of Walmart. I usually have nothing good to say, or write about Walmart. BUT, for this location, and for the TV experience, I will give them 3.5 stars. read more

Long story short, went in for an oil change and they manage to convince me to get a new battery so when i had plan to only spend 20 bucks for maintenance i walked out with a 140 tab. I inquire about them changing my wipers, the lady at the counter said they could do it for 12 bucks. No problem!!! The counter lady told me to go outside to request the service. but Daniel the service guy sent me back to talk to the counter lady, then he walks in and after the counter lady and him exchanging a few words as far as who would be responsible to handle such a minor task. Daniel proceeds to try and tell me where to go pick up the wipers. In my opinion Daniel gets paid to do this. He should have been more attentive and handle the job for me. My tab would have been 152.00 dollars for just a under an hour visit.....where was the manager or someone in charge????? The counter lady apologized but never offer to get a manager involved.
