More untold chronicles of Kohls. This time it involved failure to remove sensors on my jeans. I drove all the way home and found the surprise. Then drove all the way back to fix it. Now, lets say the alarm was triggered when I left. That should tell the employee something was wrong. Nobody came after me. When I returned I paid close attention and heard the alarm. This is a large Kohl's with plenty of parking and easy to find. The isles are a little cramped is my only suggestion. They have a lot of merchandise but seem to lack how to efficiently organize it for ease of the customer. They have a full Sephora inside, right when you walk in. They offer convenient order self pickup as well (versus standing in a line). They have a rewards system and usually have a coupon event going on. Just stay alert to the signs, as some items are not coupon eligible. Overall a nice store. read more

Their customer service is not great. I bought my daughter 4 pairs of shoes in August. She put one of the pairs on this past week and they started to fall apart within a couple hours. When I went to return them they deemed them very worn based off of when I bought them. They hesitated but did give me my money back but said next time they won't. If my daughter had worn them more than half a day then I wouldn't have returned them. They told me they had to be able to resell them. Why won't they return them to the manufacturer? This is a great location. Historically, I have always been a Kolhs shopper. More recently, not so much. But I do shop a lot on Amazon and Kolhs has Amazon returns. This location does have an Amazon return area. And that is how they get me LOL I go there for Amazon returns and end up buying stuff at Kolhs. Lol This Kohls has a Sephora inside! Heck yes! How cool is that? And it's a huuuuuuge Sephora. Not a little dinky thing lol So, naturally I had to go check it out and bought some goodies from the Sephora. Guilty *shrugs* lol Anyway, my Amazon rerun went smoothly. Yay! They gave me a 35 percent off coupon for retuning there. But be advised, the coupon does not work for Sephora. Trust me, I tried lolol It's only good for Kohls stuff and excludes Nike and big name brands. But the coupon was still much appreciated. read more

They changed the way they do returns. You now have to wait in line with the people making purchases to do a return. They used to have a separate location just for the returns. Lines are crazy long. Waiting that long just for a return is ridiculous. Racks are too tight. You can't pull out clothes without spilling other clothes too. Aisles are too narrow. read more

The only reason I go here is if an item I want is available for pickup or if I decide to browse around. Is it worth visiting? Probably not. Extremely long lines. NO SELF-CHECKOUTS. I repeat NO SELF-CHECKOUTS. I came with my kids and one child was crying the entire trip. I decided to go into the fitting room and had one young female employee ask me to remove a cart (when she clearly was just chatting with two other employees inside the fitting room) she could clearly see an inconsolable child. I had to explain she could see my child crying and how difficult it is for me. However, this young female employee did not care and just left me uncomfortable leaving the fitting room. If anything, she left me more stressed than my child who was crying during the shopping trip. NOTE TO KOHLS BUENA PARK: please hire better equipped employees that show compassion and better customer service. Hopefully, the female we encountered is seasonal because I am sure other customers would do their shopping elsewhere if they had same shopping experience. TL;DR: Kohl's is the king of fake clearances so most % discounts is usually false advertising. Their cashier associates will harass you to open up a Kohls charge card. If you're not already a loyal shopper here, DO NOT DO IT. Anyways, it's a standard Kohls with the Amazon returns in the left back corner. The only reason I go to these stores anymore. Ended up buying 2 pieces of decor and the cashier at the front continued to pressure me into opening up some Kohls thing when I repeatedly said I just wanted to pay and leave. Long story short, they made a mistake and a credit card was opened under my name. Upper management was friendly but not actually helpful in correcting this. My credit score dropped 50 points in a single day because of this hard inquiry on my credit report. read more

I understand I did not have my receipt my plan was not to return my eyebrows pencil I did not realize I had the wrong color until I used it that same day I called kohls and spoke with Bryan who was helpful & was told that Theresa can help me Great customer service for both associates. Alfonso came in and made me cry and had me explain myself all over again he was very rude and when I told him I was going to complain he did not care. This is all over a return $26 I called corporate and still waiting for a call back. Alfonso there is better ways to handle things you don't need to be rude. I went to ultra to buy my eyebrow pencil. I'm out 26 dollars. Customer service is all about respect giving the person your attention will never buy from kohls again. Very disappointed! I went for the Kohl's Cash Giveway, the employee handing out the coupon didn't want to give me one because it's one per household. I told the employee I don't live with my mom. I'm clearly an adult. She still denied and said she couldn't give me one. The lady after us got told by the employee that they ran out. She was even in disbelief because it was less than 20 minutes of opening and the store was empty of customers. That didn't make sense. After she went to get more and was being very secretive about it and hiding behind the rack of clothes so customers don't see her. She was very rude and unprofessional! I love that you can return Amazon purchases here without a box or label. You have to walk to the back of the store but it's a very quick process and will less than a minute if there's no line. They also give you a $5 reward to spend at Kohl's. Unfortunately, you cannot use the $5 reward on anything from the Sephora section. I also ordered something online and went to pick it up in-store. Even though I arrived before the two hours that it would take to fill the order, the staff was still nice enough to process it earlier for me. read more

I was with my grandmother earlier today on 8/7 browsing and shopping around for some of the stuff that she wanted. There was an employee in the jewelry dept that was very nice and helpful and knowledgeable with the merchandise and that really impacted alot of my grandmothers choices in a positive way. On the other hand, there was a floor associate by the name of Paola, wearing a faded purple sweater walking around in the women's department appearing to be putting things away. When my grandmother had some questions about particular sizes and designs of some of the shirts, Paola gave her short responses as if we were bothering her. When prompted with another question; the young lady replied back with "you know you can look on the app" clearly my grandmother isn't tech savvy so when I asked where do I put in the barcode for said items online she sighed loudly and before she could finish I told my grandmother that we would figure this out on our own. Not sure if she was having a rough day or unsure of how to prioritize her work responsibilities but i thought it was very uncalled for and unprofessional of her to have that sort of attitude with us. read more

Went to pick up my order and was directed to the left front of the store by signs. Nothing was there! So I was Told I had to wait in line. So my turn and the cashier had no idea what I was telling her so another person came up and told me to go to the back of the store. I told her that I couldn't bring up my email for the code and she said just go back there. So 10 minutes and nothing so I went to the desk and he said I had to go up front. Worst place ever. The store associate who was ringing out our purchases had made a big mistake punching gift cards that weren't ours. Manager Maria was called over and from the beginning she was very rude, condescending and just plain unpleasant. Even if it was the store associate's fault, they refused to refund the gift cards that we didn't even want to buy. On top of that, they refused to include the gift cards to the total amount I purchased which would amount to Kohl's cash. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

There has been an improvement since I last came to Kohl's. There many be a line but they've gotten better in bringing in more support and the employees are much more friendly. They have an online pick up area near the customer service line (west side of the store near the restrooms). They moved the merchandise around and it looks good. Sephora is now here too.
