I truly hate coming here but my wife loves it. If somehow I get dragged here I usually just do laps around the interior. By the time my wife is done shopping I probably get a mile or more in. My daughter needed some supplies for a school project, and Hobby Lobby is the only place in town that was going to have what she needed without waiting for Amazon. They actually didn't have enough on the shelf if what she was looking for, but we were easily able to ask someone who checked in back and had more for us with zero hassle or any real wait. How is it I did not know about this place? I have avoided shopping at Hobby lobby because they have values that conflict with my own. My friend asked me to pick up posterboard so we may make signs to protest our government. I went to Hobby lobby as it is next-door to my Pilates class. I was surprised that the immensity of the store and how neat and organized it was. Lots of plastic stuff, home decor, and art supplies. When I walked in, only one cashier was open and there were seven or eight people in line. When I left, I was the only person in line. There is a very large parking lot and lots of other interesting stores in this strip mall. read more

When you walk into the door it is very spacious and picked up. I went there for some Christmas greenery and they had some but it was kind of expensive. I also looking for the viral highland cow wrapping paper and they plenty of it. I was so happy that i got two rolls. I also found this cup so when it gets to be Christmas time i can drink my coffee out of it. I was in the check out line and one of the cashiers waived us over because she didn't have anybody and so we didn't have to wait in line. Everything was picked up and organized. Gosh, I don't know how this store and every craft stores always have low ratings. This is the second Hobby Lobby that I been to and I always find it hard and sad for the employees working there, not because of their job but because of the customers treatment. Working in retail is hard work, especially at a craft store, they have thousands of items and the customers expect them to know about every product or where is located at ? Is impossible because they change items occasionally meaning they move merchandise around the store to have better sales. Is a big store, is better to ask a manager to see where are the things you want or just look for it, sometimes, you find things that you don't even need or want, like me lol. And just a note on my end, for the people that is eating their products before purchasing is totally wrong. For instance, what if you opened it, took a bite and didn't like it ? You going to walk around the store and stick in something and walk away. I seen many people doing that and is not right. Not just this store but other stores too especially Walmart. You should pay for it before you open anything and eat it, is the right thing to do. Is a matter of right and wrong. Ok, maybe yelling at you to not open it before you pay is unprofessional behavior but think about them closing the store at night and they start cleaning, finding so many open packages that is half eaten. Is a big loss for any company. Some people might think is only a couple of dollars, imagine it in the hundreds or even thousands of open food packages, is a lot of money loss. They should invest in the store some loud speakers like that the major clothing companies, they can announce their closing times. Like " Attention customers, Hobby Lobby will be closing in 15 minutes, please have your purchase at the checkout before 8 pm, thank you for shopping at Hobby Lobby ". Then just do it every 5 minutes until 8 pm. Thank them and have a good night. Anyway, working in retail is a hard job, they hiring, maybe you guys complaining should work here so you can get a sense of how mean people treat you lol treat them with respect and kindness, then you get that in return. I just came for some butterflies, floral tape and the floral wire. I didn't know where to look after walking around then I asked one of the associates and she pointed me in the direction, found what I needed and see a lot of amazing things. This is a great place to come buy inexpensive gifts or things to make for yourself or your loved ones. I think all the employees are doing a great job. They may not have all the right answers but they're doing the best they can, so i wanted to thank them for being so helpful and hard working. I have been shopping at this location for a few years now. And I have to agree with a lot of the recent reviews, customer service has gone downhill. Before the cashiers were very friendly and knowledgeable but these days I find an error on every single purchase. I have to pay attention to make sure each item is charged correctly because if they finish the transaction, Jesus be with you, it will be a test of patience trying to get it corrected. I go here less and less and it's a shame because honestly it's very well stocked. The amount of items and selection is amazing but I can't wander around looking for inspiration since some employees are unfriendly and unhelpful if you can't find an item The selection and volume of stuff is amazing (yes I am repeating myself) They have home goods, frames, fabric, wood craft, baking, Cricut, blanks, paper notions, stickers, paint, seasonal everything, kids crafts kits, toys, party supplies, yarn craft, jewelry making, scrapbook, paints, floral. I came to Hobby Lobby on April 13, 2026, looking for wedding supplies. The employees were rude and started kicking customers out 10 minutes before closing. I saw an employee yelling at a customer just for asking about fabric, even though the store wasn't closed yet. Staff were going through every section telling people they were closing and saying the cashiers would stop checking people out if they took any longer. Don't come to this location!! read more

Came back later and the night manager suddenly said no like the policy magically changed after sunset. If your managers can't agree on store policy, maybe train them before wasting customers' time. Used to be my go-to hobby lobby... lately staff here has been ridiculous. I was here with my husband a few months ago and felt like I was being watched... it felt like a big joke but he did not find it as funny and because my husband is darker skinned, he said he felt racially profiled, especially since the what I assumed to be manager basically stared us down and practically followed us out of the store, meanwhile there were two ACTUALLY suspicious looking people (likely drug addicts) in the store at the same time. I understand you should take LP seriously, but come on! Have better awareness of real threats, your managers here are a joke. Not to mention I've had issues with them at the registers being so rude with myself and with my daughter when she pays for her own items. When we were here today my daughter was trying to get cash together and a few coins (she's 11 so she's practicing with money, as most do at this age) and the girl at the register let out a loud sigh and practically rolled her eyes... wish I got her name but she was darker and had glasses on. Absolutely the worst service I've experienced in a LONG time shopping at any Hobby Lobby store. I refuse to come back, you genuinely need better management and DEFINITELY need to retrain some of your employees. Came here with my family after the gym and was being followed by an employee because we decided to split up and check out the store since we came for different things and I wanted to see what else they carried there and kept being followed by the same employee I get it's in a high shoplifting area cuz of the homeless that are around but that was uncalled for my sister and I decided to leave because this lady was being so extra I told my mom and she was also upset by the way we were being treated never have I had a problem in this store until that day and honestly pretty unbelievable won't be shopping here again nor my family or friends due to there awful behavior I recommend to steer clear ! It wasn't until recent that I checked this place out for a Halloween project. Michaels didn't have a the Holly leaves I needed so I came here. I was taken back by the size of the store and the organization of all the items in it. I did find out they only have autumn themed things vs Halloween. The store employee may have thought I was the anti christ for asking. Very churchy feel which I later found out they are religious. More the powder to you. They have all sorts of themed home decor for whatever look you are going for. The atmosphere for shopping is relaxing and everything just smells like the holidays. I got a shadow box that was damaged Without a replacement and they took 10% which was nice. I appreciated the kind gesture even though it was only a buck off. I love this store. I can easily find everything. The best craft store there is. I have shopped at all the locations in LA & Orange County. My favorite store is Cypress. The most organized, clean and friendly staff. I always look for Ruby when I go into the store. She is the friendliest, kind sole I have meet in years. Once you get the hang of the store, you start learning how and what goes on sale and when. The Paper items, florals, ribbon, beads, etc. At times I'll shop for sales and stock up on ribbon florals etc. The only problem is someone could mistake my craft storage as an extension of Hobby Lobby store. Truly not a bad problem if you're asking a crafter. Many other stores out there, but by far the quality of the merchandise, staff and cleanliness of the store makes it stand out amongst other retail crafting stores. read more

I very rarely write reviews on yelp but I need to address something in hopes that upper management sees and takes action. This evening while I was in the yarn aisle I overheard an employee by the name of Patti make a highly offensive remark to another associate by the name of Eileen. "There 'ought to be a law so we don't have to listen to that." Patti was remarking on the fact that two other guests were having a conversation amongst themselves in Spanish. While I did not hear Eileen make any sort of response to Patti's comment these ladies are very clearly comfortable making comments like that with each other. Everyone is entitled to their own (racist) beliefs- but these women were on the clock doing a job. They should not be associating with the public if they are not prepared to encounter guests from a diverse background. I did bring this matter up to a manager and was told it would be addressed. Apart from Patti and Eileen the other associates I interacted with were incredibly friendly and helpful. Wendy was very friendly as she rang me up and Alberto was incredibly professional when speaking to me. Unfortunately the warnings from other guests are true, folks. Avoid this location unless you are fair skinned and speak perfect, unaccented English. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would! Every time I visit this store I truly regret it. The merchandise is great but the staff is rude and condescending. A couple of weeks ago, my 2 year old daughter opened a pack of gum while at checkout and one of the staff started yelling at my daughter and I how we opened it before paying. I told her that we certainly will and that's why I have it in my hands. She continued to yell as if I was stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise. Today I was charged incorrectly and I walked back into the store. They made me stand in line to be helped by the same lady I was yelled at a couple of weeks ago. I told the manager that I do not feel comfortable with that same lady helping me. She's like that's all that we can do for you. I walked out. Imagine if Michael's and Home Goods had a kid...and they named it Hobby Lobby. When you walk in the themed groupings are nicely displayed so you can one stop shop. IE: Dinosaur piggy bank, framed picture, dino wall decor, etc. There's a theme for everyone....fisherman, hunting, camping, beach vibes, comic book, etc. It's a bit overwhelming actually. It is a LOT of merchandise. 2/16 sign says 50% off Valentine's candy and my son picked up heart shaped sweet tarts. It rings up at full price and the cashier tells me she doesn't think it is on sale. She waves the manager over and even though I say there is a printed sign posted in front of the section, no one moves to check. The manager insists it's still full price & I leave it at the store. Coupons are on their website & emailed so keep it handy when you're checking out. Be sure to tell them which item you want it off of as the system does not register what is the highest priced item. I don't know how they manage inventory. In spite of all the gripes, it's closer than Michael's & they have a great canvas selection. Will unfortunately be back. read more

It was when I was check out that I was disgusted with Roxanne H's nasty attitude. She greeted my one year son and I with an ALREADY annoyed look all over her face. I asked her for the price of one item since it wasn't clear to me, & she turns to a male coworker who was the one actually helping me find the price. I think she THOUGHT she was talking under her breath--This witch proceeds to say, "Jesus Christ, all these damn people trying to shop here at the register!" I was appalled. I was with my baby son. One thing about Hobby Lobby is that materials are spread out in different spots. One has to walk up and down the isles to make sure you don't miss anything. Some items are pricey. See I love the store for the deals and the merchandise. I always leave with more than I expect. But my one issue is the amount of racism I have had at this store. Multiple times my mother and I have dealt with the cashiers allowing others to cut us as we went to ask if the cashier was open. We would get there first and we were always asked to wait behind the other person. When someone cuts us off? They say nothing. I always thought it was just an us but yesterday while shopping we saw a group of young adults who were black and one white girl. As they walked through the seasonal section, the intercom said " security in seasonal, watch the cameras." This store is an amazing store but those who work here are horrible at hiding their prejudice and discrimination of people of color. I often fear shopping there in worry something will happen again. read more

The workers here are rude! I came in to return a few items one being fabric, I went to fabric section and was met right away with two rude older ladies. I explained that I didn't have a need for the fabric I bought in and before I can say anything they have already started complaining about the way the fabric was folded even though it was very much the same way they folded it from when I first had bought it since I never unraveled it! And the same lady who had folded it from my first purchase was there! Second of all neither workers knew who to call but kept on saying they should call management? And once they called management he was just as rude as them, saying "I was called over for this" that's just rude and uncalled for, then before I can even say anything the two older ladies in the fabric department started talking over me saying "we already told her she couldn't return it." When in fact they didn't tell me that, they just kept on mumbling with each other complaining while giving me nasty looks before the management came. The manager didn't even get me a chance to speak before saying "We can't return it." And just walking away. I love the atmosphere, the customer service, the quality, the items, the ideas, the decor, etc. I feel peaceful there. It's not bombarded with crowds but that doesn't mean it's not as packed with goodies! I loveeeee that there's Christian music in the background and instrumental music. I love the books and devotionals. The mirrors, art supplies, canvas art, snacks, everything! They close on Sundays but that shows me it's time for rest and honor to their faith. I have no problem with that at all...A gem in OC and worth a little bit of a drive. I am an AMazon shopper, and buy lots of things sold here in person. Why not help an organization that brings a lot of value and a lot of items you can bring home right then and there! I finally visited Hobby Lobby after hearing so much about it. I was impressed with the layout of the store & how well organized the merchandise is displayed. Especially how well staged the home decor is displayed. However, I wasn't impressed with their merchandise selection. A lot of it looked outdated. Their merchandise was nothing out of the ordinary. I also wasn't impressed with their high prices nor their discounts. Their prices are high in comparison to stores like Michael's Arts & Crafts, Home Goods & Joann's Fabrics. My daughter picked out a few art supplies and a journal. These items were still pricey after the discount. Again, not the best place to shop for arts & crafts. The lady in-front of us in line to pay kept putting back her merchandise after the cashier would ring them up. The lady thought all of her merchandise was discounted & was sticker shocked. Apparently, she didn't check the price tags before loading her shopping cart. Lol! Long lines to pay. But, plenty of open cash registers. And plenty of available parking. Nonetheless, we enjoyed walking through this big store & we'd consider returning. Perhaps we'll have better luck shopping next time. read more
