$25 DUNGENESS CRAB CAKES: small in size, but better flavor than most places. Normally don't like crab cakes, but liked these!

Definitely one of the nicer restaurants in the area. FOOD: $19 SCALLOPS ON THE HALF SHELL: the scallops were soft and delicious, but it was t my favorite flavors. It was a miso vinaigrette. Just a personal preference. $24 WICKED SHRIMP: these were so flavorful! Comes with toasted bread that you can dip into the sauce which is AMAZING! Definitely order this. $10 FRENCH ONION SOUP: toasty cheese crust and SO MANY Walla Walla sweet onions in there.

This place is massive, so I've never had trouble getting a table. The food is good, and price is comparable to other restaurants in the area. Wait staff is nice but service is a bit slow.

I'm in the restaurant right now. 45 minutes to get our drinks. Then she took our food order. Half the table got their salad about 20 minutes later and 20 minutes after that we had to get up and tell the waitress half the table did not have their salad. She cleared their plates while giving us our salads. She was totally unaware. No manager on the floor, walking around to see how the place is doing? I can't tell if they are understaffed but I often see 4 people behind the bar. I'll share more later. Ok I'm back. By the time we got our food we were ready to go. Steaks were cooked to order. A couple were cool. Potatoes were not done. Broccoli was cold. The green beans were also noted as cold. The chicken was "ok". It took so long and it was so late - 8:00 and we were seated at 6:15 it was hard to even enjoy the meal with our wine. The brownie deserts were all enjoyed. The table was never cleared. We were given a hefty credit. Much appreciated - doesn't change our mind. And then there is the 20% service charge that included a note explaining that corporate holds 5% back. That being said we will never go back. We are in Walla Walla at least 3 times a year.

The Tomahawk, should be called a TomaNOT

Was really excited to try this place, being part of the El Gaucho family of restaurants which we really enjoy. However we were sadly disappointed with the entire experience. To begin with, we were seated at a mini table in the middle of a bustling Saturday night, and didn't even meet our server for the first 15 minutes, making it feel extremely awkward. We ordered the wedge which was really good, thus the 2 stars. On special was the shared Tomahawk plate which included a large steak and two baked potatoes for $135. We have never ordered this before but figured it was a special night we would splurge. The steak came out and was not what we expected. The server cut it before it had a chance to rest so all the juices drained prior to even placing it on the plate. I was so surprised at how tough the meat was, perhaps from the lack of rest, a bad grade, or the server didn't know how to cut a good piece of meat correctly, or all of the above. The potatoes were not fully cooked so they were hard, couldn't even be mashed. We ordered the bacon and cheese, which never came, but was graciously included on the bill. I love a good steak and was only able to chew a piece or two before giving up. The cherry on top of the evening was the mandatory 20% service fee! I hate that! I think service fees should be based on SERVICE! In this case, I would've given maybe 10%, for the drinks! Total bill, $240. Sorry El Gaucho, but I really think you missed the boat on this place.

We intended on eating at the brewery on the other side of this restaurant but they were closed due to a private event. We didn't have any reservations but were able to be seated at a high top table in the bar. We ordered some drinks and were served their sourdough bread and butter which was delicious! We were able to order off of the brewery menu and we both went with the steak frites. It was delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked and the fries were crispy and fresh. The only not so great part about our visit was the server. The server was not rude by any means but you could tell did not want to serve us and was disappointed in our entree choice or something. We weren't even offered a dessert menu. This establishment also adds 20% automatically to the check. Despite the subpar service I would return here next time I happen to be in walla walla.

Quite consistent. I love that I can reserve a table online and modify, if needed online. Plenty of parking. As soon as you walk in, you feel and smell the warm welcome of the Walla Walla SteakCo. The kitchen is right in front of you and you can see the team grilling up steaks. The dining room is quite cozy and provides your party with an intimate dining experience. Last night our group of 5 enjoyed Wedge Salads and Onion Soup. These are our go-to and they are always great. I had the fried chicken last night. This dish was served with mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans. This might be my favorite dish now. Absolutely tasty!! I am looking forward to enjoying my leftovers!! The rest of our table enjoyed steaks and either baked potatoes or mashed potatoes. The steaks were served at the requested temperatures and everyone enjoyed. We did order two Tableside Flambé desserts (banana foster and cherry jubilee). They were tasty and the tableside service is such a treat. COCKTAILS!! They have a great bartender and we've always enjoyed their specialty cocktails. We did also bring in wine and paid a $25 cork fee. Our server decanted and served our wine. She was quite attentive and we truly felt welcomed by all of the team on the floor. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Walla Walla SteakCo is a great place to go to dine and imbibe with friends. You do not feel rushed. It is not pretentious. It is a good meal with incredible service. We always leave full and thankful.

This is the explanation for a 20% service charge that is delivered with the check

We stumbled upon this place while walking to another spot, and instantly had a place that we were excited about going every time we come into town! It was open by a gentleman who felt like the area could use a specialty butcher that carried a little bit nicer cuts of meat, slightly larger variety and had a cool vibe. He accomplished all three! They carry all the standard beef, chicken and pork, but also do some more specialty meats like rabbit and specialty sausages. We also loved the fact that they carry some good cheeses, including a really nice aged Gouda! My best half loves her some aged Gouda, so anytime we find something good we make note of it. The Decour here is slightly eclectic, but still familiar. They've also got some really cool custom doors that lead back into The back and windows that allow you to see where all the action is taking place. Never anything gruesome, but it's nice to see where the meat is actually being cut and prepared. In addition to the delicious non-vegetarian options, they carry some different varieties of crackers, some legit Marcona almonds and straight from the farm eggs. Prices were very fair, and the service was impeccable. This is a place that I hope starts to make T-shirts as I will definitely be excited to support all that they're doing. If you're in the area, you should definitely check this place out!

I wasn't too hungry so I opted for the 1/2 dozen oysters (lovely Kumamotos) and the market fish special (Petrole Sole). First the oysters were fresh, and briny. I did enjoy it a spritz of lemon and the mignonette. But the real star of the night was that Petrole Sole swimming in that brown butter sauce! It was divine!!! I *almost* licked my plate clean, but I composed myself... I did end the night with the Mousse au Chocolat, it was just a bit too sweet for me, however chantilly creme helped tone the mousse down). The first thing is coming in you get that rustic lodge feeling from the woodwork and decor as you get hit with that smokehouse aroma. No better way to get you hungry and set the mood for BBQ. Just yum! Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. She was attentive and checked in but never intrusive, hovering and did not ignore us once served. Tried a flight with Huckleberry, Berry, Cinnamon, Espresso and Walla Walla Sweet Onion (they "tree in" the espresso). Could take or leave the berries espresso and cinnamon were fantastic while the onion was interesting. Had a Bloody Mary with the onion and it was good. One table mate had the loaded potato with Mac and cheese and pulled pork. The noodles were bigger than skinny boxed and very tender. The cheese was creamy and flavorful and the pulled pork was tender and juicy and jam packed with flavor but could have been a bit more smoky. For the food: I got a small BBQ platter which came with 3-meat choices , a dinner roll and a single side choice. I chose baked beans for my side. Tri-tip, ribs and brisket for my meats. I tasted the beans nothing special but tasty. Same for the roll. The ribs were fall off the bone tender, juicy and meaty! I got three 3"-4" ribs. I also had a small pile of super thin sliced tender juicy and flavorful tri-tip and three 1/4-1/2" thick slices of brisket. The brisket was moist and had a good smoke flavor as well. I ate all the ribs, half the tri-tip and a slice of brisket. The rest went home with me as this was a hearty serving.
