The food is good as expected of Denny's. The service is only poor if you get Debbie. Maybe it's just our chemistry, or that her personality is horrible. I'm going with the latter. I've seen her interact with folks she knows and it's acceptable, but with others she doesn't know, she treats with basic cold protocol. It's sad she's the lead waitress and opener. She purposefully ignores me. The other waitresses that serve, are pleasant and cordial as expected. Kindness isn't hard. I know it's a diner and service isn't expected to be upscale, but water refill is a 101 basic of table service at all levels of restaurant scale. Get with it Debbie! Stop trying to control the customer and actually take some form of joy in serving them. Your tips will double! Otherwise the value of Denny's and the food quality for corporate/factory food is fantastic at this price point. Overall, it's the price point that draws me. read more

The service here is always a mixed bag. The wait staff are always friendly but it always takes forrrrrreverrrrr for the food to come out after ordering. Even when it is almost empty! The ambiance is casual and it always seems clean here. The early mornings and weekends draw lots of seniors citizens and families, while the late nights draw a lot of college students from the nearby colleges. I wish they would give more fries with their burgers but overall, the pricing is fair for what you get. I knocked this review down two stars because getting your food here takes foreverrrr. All the time, not just once or twice. But everyone is friendly and the restaurant is surprisingly clean. read more

Been here a few times, it's always mediocre at best. Today though, they didn't bring my daughter her proper order.. I get it mistakes happen but then the bacon on my burger was chewy and inedible which is crazy because the bacon tastes like microwaved bacon anyways. The waitress never came back to refill our drinks.. I get that things get busy but it's frustrating trying to eat and not even having anything to wash your food down with. Stopped in late tonight and was starving- Vanity went above and beyond beyond to make sure all my cravings were hit with breaking down the menu for me with different options, she was the only waitress working and was extremely quick, attentive and did it all with a great attitude. Food - both sides to my meal were hot (soup and mac & cheese) both were served tepid in temperature. Not only does not taste good but can create health issues if not sufficiently heated. I went there when it opened and things were quite good. I recalled going to a number of Denny's in other states and enjoying their diner/home town cooking. As time goes on, and we're only talking a few months, it's a different place now. Service is slow, even when it's not busy, and the food may be cold or poorly seasoned. A good part of it is a timing issue that the management needs to address. Look at how busy the kitchen is, how long it takes to make a dish and make sure it gets picked up while warm and/or use warming lamps. Perhaps they don't have enough cooks. Perhaps the kitchen layout is an issue. Basic stuff. Management should also make sure servers are customer focused, a number are quite good, but they might be hamstrung by other things. Denny's can be a good place to eat again, if management acts. read more

What could improve? Our server was wonderful. It took over an hour to get our breakfast. We waited so long. They gave us 2 donut holes. They were the only things we got that had any flavor. I had the French toast. Zero taste, the sausage was older then me, the bacon wasn't completely cooked. My wife had the " country fried steak and eggs" it was a 1/4 inch thick breaded burger, covered in a tasteless white sauce. We tipped our server so our miserable breakfast cost $50. I haven't been back since the really crap service my company and I had a few days ago. The waitress was rude, and it took forever for anything to arrive at the table. The Waitress didn't check on us at all or ask if we needed anything else. When I asked for a manager, she couldn't be bothered. Are you kidding me? We were really looking forward to trying Denny's for the first time, but this experience was nothing short of frustrating. While we were seated quickly (the only good part of this visit), everything went downhill from there. We sat for over 20 minutes before anyone took our order, and then waited more than an hour to get our food. When it finally arrived, it was cold--eggs, meat, pancakes, all of it. Who wants to eat cold breakfast food? Definitely not us, especially at the price they charged. To make it worse, our server was rude and clearly didn't want to be there. She forgot our waters, barely acknowledged us, and when we were trying to figure out how many boxes we needed, she literally turned and walked away mid-conversation. We had to raise our voices just to tell her how many we needed. Then came the final insult--a charge for a barely-there drizzle of gravy on a chicken fried steak. That would've been fine if the food had been hot or at least decent. But it wasn't. We left super disappointed and definitely won't be back. Denny's, you really dropped the ball. read more

the Walla Walla, Wa store has young, new wait staff is clueless and doesn't listen is unfriendly as well as the check out staff, the cooks either don't listen or our young waitress doesn't take notes. Had to send back undercooked bacon, only got 3 slices instead of 4, and the cheese wasn't melted on the eggs and the toast was only warm. I'd run out to Clarettes if you want a great breakfast and it's cheaper too. Don't recommend. read more

Not impressed! Two of us ordered breakfast. Both of us received raw hash browns. The pancakes were over cooked on the outside and doughy on the inside. Once the food was delivered we never saw our server until she dropped off the check so there was no opportunity to have our food corrected. We told her then what was wrong and she just said she'd tell the cooks to do a better job next time. Yeah, helpful. Not. The food and the service were both lousy. It's a sad morning when you're sitting at Denny's wishing you'd just done the McDonalds drive thru and saved $25. read more

I selected a build your own omlette fo$20.00 plus another plus $4.00 to add an avocado. To begin with, this was the smallest omlette I've ever seen and the toppings were skimpy. Now I added avocado for $4.00 and got half of an avocado slung on top. I can appreciate the economic struggle businesses are facing but, how am I charged $4.00 for half an avocado, when I can buy a whole one ar the store for $2 something? Also hashbrowns are supposed to be browned right? Hmm someone didn't get the memo...my boyfriend ordered a double order of biscuits and gravy, which admittedly looked a little peeked to begin with on the menu, but what arrived was even sadder. A double order consisted of 4 half dollar sized biscuits, 1 sliced up sausage link, and gravy that's was about as appetizing as kindarten paste. ( yeah I know I'm not the only one who tried it back then...am i?) Anyway, at least the price reflected the quality at around $5.00. I generally don't give reviews unless it's either an exceptionally positive experience or a horrible one, as is the case for this. I've always liked Dennys, and even despite some sticker shock initially when I looked over the menu, I presumed that the portions would be appropriate. Not so. I work in the restaurant industry and I hesitate to be unfair, as there is often extenuating circumstances to a bad experience but honestly I cannot imagine what can explain this away. This dennys just opened a few months back. I wanted to wait until they got all the rush and interest down a bit before I tried this place. I've eaten at plenty of other dennys restaurants and I must say, this is by far the worst. Our waitress was decent until she went on her lunch break and we didn't get another person come to the table in replace of her absence. The manager was cleaning one of the tables and I struck up a conversation with her. Asked if they were short staffed and how's it been going for them so far. She simply said it's died down but they are not under staffed. They simply have to maintain their labor cost so the owner of this franchise can make a profit. And tht is her only job is to make sure the owner is profiting from this location. Tht alone will make me not want to come back. But the food we got was something out of a gas station deli. I literally could've walked to the gas station across the street and got the same chicken stripes for way less. And because I ordered chicken fried steak and got chicken stripes with gravy well I know I got ripped off. Never returning to this place not even on someone else's dime. $80 wasted!!!! read more

went to eat with my granddaughter. sat for 20minutes before a waitress showed to take our order after that it was 30 minutes and ,no food. when I asked about it I was told they were very busy ( in the time I was there about 15 people got served ate and left) my grand daughters burger finally showed up- cold burger on a stale bun and cold fries.
