The food was awful! We came in from Moses Lake for the day, wanted to have a good dinner before heading back so we checked reviews of local steak places. Super thrilled for a good steak, we chose the Depot. Only to be utterly disappointed. :( If you are watching your sodium intake DO NOT order the grilled brussel sprouts, or French onion soup! This restaurant has a quaint passenger car outside for a nice touch but not open for service today. The interior of the restaurant was nice brick with good ambience. The servers looked the part but the hostess took 20min to seat us while she scarfed down some food within eye shot of us while we stood waiting. It was cringe to see line cooks and chefs with their loose hair flapping everywhere! I was wondering how the college looking kid could even see what he was cooking with his straggly grungy curly hair all over his face and over his eyes. He was cooking the carrots. We were sat at the bar, service was fast, so I will give them that. We were a bit confused as to who exactly our sever was as there were three but didn't technically introduce themselves. We ordered crab cakes, grilled brussel sprouts, French onion soup, and shared the 18 oz. rib eye with two sides, mashed potatoes and grilled carrots. The rib eye was the thinnest cut we have ever seen. The soup was extremely salty, so I only took a few bites. The brussel sprouts were charred black and no longer green. The burnt taste was disgusting. The mustard they paired them with did not do it any favors. There are 3 crab cakes to an order, alone the cakes were edible but they laid them over a smear of some nasty flavorless oily mayo sauce. They paired them with thinly julienned apples which were yummy for the few strands that did not touch the mayo spread. We got mashed potatoes which were bland, hubby did not eat his and I only took a couple bites of mine. We love grilled carrots especially when cooked in small cast iron dish but these carrots were paired with some funky cream sauce that looked like sour cream but cannot describe what it was. Carrots would've been nice if they didn't over power with rosemary or thyme. They failed to mention the huge service charge that they added to our ticket which was $32 onto our $212.00 tab. Our server even asked if we were interested in leaving an additional tip for the server that poured our water. Nope! We won't be back anytime soon. This restaurant was great! The prime rib and the pork chop were excellent (perfectly done and deliciously seasoned and the service was equally amazing. We ran into a glitch with our gift card (we had the confirmation email but not the digital card) and after unsuccessfully trying to figure out how to make it work, the manager, who was great, told us not to worry about it and they would cover the meal. (Fortunately we were finally able to access the card and pay.) read more

I'm in the restaurant right now. 45 minutes to get our drinks. Then she took our food order. Half the table got their salad about 20 minutes later and 20 minutes after that we had to get up and tell the waitress half the table did not have their salad. She cleared their plates while giving us our salads. She was totally unaware. No manager on the floor, walking around to see how the place is doing? I can't tell if they are understaffed but I often see 4 people behind the bar. I'll share more later. Ok I'm back. By the time we got our food we were ready to go. Steaks were cooked to order. A couple were cool. Potatoes were not done. Broccoli was cold. The green beans were also noted as cold. The chicken was "ok". It took so long and it was so late - 8:00 and we were seated at 6:15 it was hard to even enjoy the meal with our wine. The brownie deserts were all enjoyed. The table was never cleared. We were given a hefty credit. Much appreciated - doesn't change our mind. And then there is the 20% service charge that included a note explaining that corporate holds 5% back. Well this is my third review, the others were 5 star. Service was awesome, we had a group with young children and they seated us in a good location and attended to the special needies. My steak was awesome - even coming from the Chicago area, this is the best steak. They got my order wrong got the baked instead of mashed potatoes. I'm glad they did, the baked potato was even more enjoyable than the steak. Chopped salad not the best I ever had but decent. Could use more blue cheese crumbles. Now the disappointment . My daughter had the salmon and said it was fishy. I know this is a steakhouse, but it is also Washington, king of the salmon states. Fishy=not fresh. Kimberly rocks the Universe. She was our server again. She talked us into getting the very special morel mushrooms as a side and I think we died and I am writing this actually from heaven above. They were so good -- I ordered a 2nd helping and ate them again AFTER I finished my dinner. Kimberly, works in the bar and she is a perfectionist -- wanting everything to be just right. We love this place so much and come every year! I took a beautiful picture of this rose and they put it on our table for us to enjoy! Awww... the hostess are unpretentious and so sweet. They greeted us with enthusiasm and joy! That is always nice, when someone seems happy to meet you. The steaks were giant flavor bombs! The potatoes come in a minute cast iron dish and they are buttery naughty -- but I licked the dish clean. Thank GOD we road our bikes so we could burn off these calories. Was really excited to try this place, being part of the El Gaucho family of restaurants which we really enjoy. However we were sadly disappointed with the entire experience. To begin with, we were seated at a mini table in the middle of a bustling Saturday night, and didn't even meet our server for the first 15 minutes, making it feel extremely awkward. We ordered the wedge which was really good, thus the 2 stars. On special was the shared Tomahawk plate which included a large steak and two baked potatoes for $135. We have never ordered this before but figured it was a special night we would splurge. The steak came out and was not what we expected. The server cut it before it had a chance to rest so all the juices drained prior to even placing it on the plate. I was so surprised at how tough the meat was, perhaps from the lack of rest, a bad grade, or the server didn't know how to cut a good piece of meat correctly, or all of the above. The potatoes were not fully cooked so they were hard, couldn't even be mashed. We ordered the bacon and cheese, which never came, but was graciously included on the bill. I love a good steak and was only able to chew a piece or two before giving up. The cherry on top of the evening was the mandatory 20% service fee! I hate that! I think service fees should be based on SERVICE! In this case, I would've given maybe 10%, for the drinks! Total bill, $240. We intended on eating at the brewery on the other side of this restaurant but they were closed due to a private event. We didn't have any reservations but were able to be seated at a high top table in the bar. We ordered some drinks and were served their sourdough bread and butter which was delicious! We were able to order off of the brewery menu and we both went with the steak frites. It was delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked and the fries were crispy and fresh. The only not so great part about our visit was the server. The server was not rude by any means but you could tell did not want to serve us and was disappointed in our entree choice or something. We weren't even offered a dessert menu. This establishment also adds 20% automatically to the check. Despite the subpar service I would return here next time I happen to be in walla walla. read more

The kitchen is right in front of you and you can see the team grilling up steaks. The dining room is quite cozy and provides your party with an intimate dining experience. Last night our group of 5 enjoyed Wedge Salads and Onion Soup. These are our go-to and they are always great. I had the fried chicken last night. This dish was served with mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans. This might be my favorite dish now. Absolutely tasty!! I am looking forward to enjoying my leftovers!! The rest of our table enjoyed steaks and either baked potatoes or mashed potatoes. The steaks were served at the requested temperatures and everyone enjoyed. We did order two Tableside Flambé desserts (banana foster and cherry jubilee). They were tasty and the tableside service is such a treat. COCKTAILS!! They have a great bartender and we've always enjoyed their specialty cocktails. We did also bring in wine and paid a $25 cork fee. Our server decanted and served our wine. She was quite attentive and we truly felt welcomed by all of the team on the floor. I'd say this 20% service charge was the final kicker to a mediocre and slow meal. Our first opportunity to place a drink order was with our food. It still took over 15 minutes for non-alcoholic drinks. We ordered appetizers - the spinach dip (pretty much the only great part of our meal) and seared tuna (just ok nothing special). My daughter got fettuccine and said it wasn't good. My boyfriend and I shared a 10ou filet steak and we added the steak co (brussel sprouts and 3 shrimp). Yes it is Saturday night but the service was so slow and our steak was the smallest 10 ou. We even questioned and was told it was because they had cut it in half for us. The shrimp were still grey and not fully cooked and the brussel sprouts were so salty we couldn't even eat them. The mashed potatoes had zero flavor. At this point we had been there for almost an hour and a half. We asked for the check and when they dropped it off, they informed us of the service charge and if we had any questions the manager would speak with us. The service was no where near 20% nor was the food quality 20%. When we asked the server she then stated it was at the bottom of the menu. None of us had seen it. Again we were told a manager would speak with us. Personally I think this should be at the front of the restaurant AND this little paper should be attached to the front of the menu not something slipped in after poor service. read more

I really love steak. I really love steakhouses. I really didn't love this one, unfortunately. We ate here on a Friday evening and we were group of eight. Every table around us was seated after we were and they were all served before we were. We waited well over an hour after ordering to be served our food , and all while sitting on hard bench seats with no back. The drinks were great, and the food when it got there was good, but it didn't blow my hair back. I realize the restaurant industry is challenged with having enough help and sometimes having good help, but it sure seems like they could've done better in this case. I truly hope our experience was one-off and they are more consistently good than I experienced because this should be a great place. read more

We wanted to take our time to enjoy a drink and then our meal. Our server, Haley, was amazing. She was attentive, but didn't rush us. She also had a great sense of humor and made our experience very enjoyable. Food was good. After coming here dozens of times each year, I learned today that WW Steak Co in Woodinville is closing so I guess this is a bit of too little too late. The food and service here is every bit as good as any of the finest steak houses in the greater Seattle area. We frequent El Gaucho, Ascend, Capitol Grille and Daniels. WWSC is right there with all of them. Great food, engaged servers and pleasant ambiance. Having a great quality steakhouse in Woodinville was so nice and we will miss this greatly. Prices were reasonable given the crazy costs that restaurants have to deal with these days. The steaks have always been top notch and they rotate entree options enough so that there is always something new even for the regular patrons. Service has always been great from the hostess staff to the general manager. I don't believe we have ever been there where the manager has not checked in to see how our meal was. I have to give a particular shout out to Manny who truly became part of the overall experience with his remarkable engagement with all guests and professional service skills. We are truly disappointed not to have this terrific restaurant in Woodinville going forward. Restaurants are having a particularly tough time doing business in this State and with this economy. We started coming to this restaurant a few years ago and loved it! The atmosphere was wonderful, the service was excellent and we completely enjoyed the food. While the first two things are still true, the food no longer matches the atmosphere and service. One person in our party ordered a steak that he said was barely edible and certainly no where near the quality expected for the price. During a previous visit I had a steak that was not nearly as good as what I have had in the past. This is the second time we have been disappointed. We won't try for a third. We did cocktails this time instead of wine... they were out of a couple ingredients for some of the drinks so we changed what we were drinking a couple times. Excellent service, and food! We had the crabcakes and the hatchet which serves 2. Since it only comes with a baker we opted to split the baker and add fresh veggies. It was more than enough. We had to pass on dessert which looked amazing! But we also had a lot of meat leftover. I loved that he carved itbtablside and explained each piece . We did no make reservations, they sat us quickly. Ordered another steak , they could not make it rare :( but it was ok! Definitely not worth the price and charge you extra for carrots if you do not want the bake potato. It took a while for our meals to arrive . The Caesar salad was the best part of both of our expensive meals . Bar tender was friendly and made great drink but was slammed . I kept hearing we are short staffed . We finally get the bill and 20 % is automatically added to all meals , not just for tables more than 6 , then they explain when you get the bill they do not profit off of that ???
