I travel a lot for work and found this hidden gem near Walla Walla. The view, the room, the food, and the service were all on point! 10 out of 10! Everyone is so nice, the room and bed was very comfortable and clean. Cozy sitting areas all over. The soaking tub was wonderful. The rating would be zero stars if available: We ate there last night, assuming it was a high end resort. The place is generally unattractive with blah architecture in an inferior location, especially given all the wonderful locations in the Walla Walla Valley. I realize it's early in the season but service was poor, the house wines were mediocre at best, as was the food, plus it's pricy. Don't waste your time or money, especially in an area rich in history, wine, geographical beauty, and many good restaurants. read more

We enjoyed the bungalow suite and were able to take our dog with us just about anywhere on the property. It's tucked away just north of Walla Walla which only adds to Eritage's charm. Me and my fiancé had the runs after eating the breakfast there so maybe the cook needs to wash their hands better or something besides that yes it was pretty nice Motel besides not being able to use the pool or get the roses or chocolates and not having a Mountain View and or a Jacuzzi tub in my room, which I thought I paid for originally online but besides that, yes it was good. Great way to experience Walla Walla. Came on Saturday, May 25th over Memorial Day Weekend. The wines we tasted were excellent, especially the Syrah. We ate dinner there the first night. Dinner was great, our food server was engaging and charming. The grounds were pleasant with spectacular views of the vineyards. Mountain views in the Walla Walla Valley are breathtaking, espessially in the Spring. The man made lake was a great feature. The trail around the vineyards made for great dog walking. Also, games, bikes, paddleboards, and kayaks were available. As far as rooms, very cozy, but wish there was a dresser, it would have been good for the three-night stay. Also, more hooks to hang up towels in the bathroom. Espresso maker did not work properly, so we took advantage of the free coffee in the lobby. read more

We scheduled an event for about 20 people and were quoted $50 a plate and given several options for dinner. At the time we arrived we were offered only a burger or shrimp risotto. The appetizers served were quite good, a spice cauliflower and a stuffed pepper. The burgers were good, but the risotto was not. The shrimp were absolutely inedible. All in all a disappointing meal, but it was the company we came for, and we enjoyed sitting at the same table. At that point a 2 star experience, but. The bill came and we were charged $60/ plate AND told that the gratuity was not included. I'm a bit shocked by all this, given the other reviews on Yelp. I hope our experience was an exception, but I cannot recommend planning even a small event at this venue. read more

The Restaurant was so delicious for breakfast, appetizers and dinner especially, even just dessert. The staff were so sweet and accommodating. The setting and location are really quiet snd nice. The big American flag out front was really nice and I appreciated that. The building and grounds are beautiful and kept. The rooms are spacious and overlook a man made lake. We stayed for 4 nights in the "Innkeepers Suite" at $430 / night. At that price point we appropriately set our expectations fairly high and on par with other lodging in that price range. Without any problems this would have been a 3 star stay, they're a ways off from being a 4 or 5 star experience. They have lots of work to do... Things to keep doing (positive things): Bed was comfy and 6 pillows Big American flag out front Cool architecture Where things really fall apart are here: Pool is ice cold, we only went in once and could only stay a few mins (also, super small, so 4 people feel crowded) No hot tub, which would have been a nice touch, nobody wants to freeze in your pool Not once did anybody congratulate us or acknowledge our anniversary even after we had told them several times that was why we were staying there. Totally unacceptable. By comparison, one of the restaurants we went to during our stay, went overboard in acknowledging us and made us feel really special. I recommend the establishment do more for people celebrating, from writing a card (free) to verbal greetings (also free) to 2 free drink coupons to the bar (other hotels have done this and it is a nice touch) to a bottle of something fun, chocolates, etc Room was filthy the entire trip. Floor was sticky and boot prints were clearly visible Full kitchen but no pots, pans, utensils, bowls...etc what would I do with a kitchen? Bring my own? Like I'm camping? The microwave wasn't operational, and I had to flip a breaker. Not a big deal, but how would that not have been a standard check during turn over? Housekeeping is non existent. We called to have our room cleaned when we were leaving for the day and that was hit or miss. I had to run down to the office to ask for more soap because we didn't get anymore during our cleaning! Sorry? Is that ok? Can I please get some more soap? Oh, no more coffee pods for you either. guess the handful of pods should have lasted you the whole trip....no refills on that either Maybe take the garbage out? Do you even clean the rooms!? I have absolutely no idea what they were doing if they were "cleaning" our room. We got fresh towels? Food at the restaurant is atrocious. The provided breakfast was completely subpar and lacking any creativity or quality. We mistakenly ate their once and thankfully never again during our stay. The sausage was cardboard discs. Treetop juices. It wasn't good. A holiday Inn puts on a better spread...and that's saying something... No information on how to use the resort at all. We didn't even know you could use the paddle boards, bikes...there's a nightly fire pit? News to us. Also, maybe a s'mores bar would be a nice added touch. 0 information given to us on how to make the most out of Walla Walla...what wineries to visit, restaurant list, assistance in making reservations...(aka they lack a vital position - concierge) or other information that would be useful for visitors The door to the inkeepers suite is unmarked, opened with a hard key and the door is made of glass, secured only by a basic door handle lock. No deadbolt, no blinds, no secondary lock of any kind. Highly unacceptable and unsafe. At any point somebody could access your room without your permission or knowledge. Totally unacceptable. Blinds are not on every window, making the space very bright at about 6am, not advised if you enjoy sleeping in. If you're reading this and heart set on coming to Walla Walla, maybe the issues at this hotel will be fixed for your stay. But it's a big gamble at $400+ a night. Good luck. read more

We had a work retreat is the venue and I was very impressed. While the resort is a bit of the beaten path, the rooms were excellent and the grounds were great. There is a lot to do - paddle boarding on their private pond, bike riding, and all kinds of games, such as corn hole and outdoor fire pits. The service was excellent and the food was incredible. They made a custom menu for our group and pared it with local wines. I'd highly recommend this place. read more

I'm going to start by saying, save yourself the drive. Go to Whitehouse Crawford instead! I'm giving them 2 stars only because the waiter was great. Otherwise I would be giving them 1 star. Good points: - Our waiter was great. He was fun and knows the food. - Beautiful building & views Bad points: - Food is way over priced. Our dinner was ok but not fabulous. The gnocchi is bland. - Very few choices for red wine by the glass. They want you to buy the bottle. - 18% Service charge. Oh the many reasons this makes me angry... This isn't part of the tip. This is an additional charge. It goes to the house. Wtf?? They charge any where from $219 to $364 a night to stay there but they can't afford to train their staff without charging the patrians an additional 18%? This will turn into a spot for tourists only. This place is off the beaten path for sure, but it's worth the effort. Before we booked everyone we talked to said Eritage was the place to go. After we had our reservation, everyone said we couldn't do better. I have to say, there are some great restaurants in WW, but Eritage is pretty amazing. Despite only being open a couple weeks, these guys are hitting on all cylinders. The open kitchen is fun to watch and even lends itself to some interaction. Our server Mason was a wealth of knowledge about the restaurant and resort. The food, start to finish, was terrific. The grilled prawns starter and Buratta and heirloom tomatoes were delicious. We had the smoked pork loin and the braised short rib entrees. Both dishes were incredible. The butterscotch & blueberry dessert finished an amazing meal. Highly recommend. read more

My wife and I have been visiting Walla Walla every summer for a decade, and this is by far the biggest disappointment we have had in years. No matter which way you drive in, you end up on an unpaved gravel road that will scratch your car and make it dirty. It took a full 45 minutes between courses, and the chef started cleaning the grill while we were still there, so the restaurant filled with smoke while we were still seated. We went wine tasting the next day and told some people working in the tasting rooms about our experience, and every single person said that they weren't surprised. Apparently this place has had a rough start and judging by our experience here, it doesn't show any signs of getting better. Don't waste your time or your money, there are better restaurants in town that won't charge an additional 18% service fee for subpar food and pretentious ambiance. read more

We were excited to try this new restaurant, and at first blush this seemed to have much of the fine dining qualities we'd been told about--but overall, it just didn't hit on all the high points we'd hoped for. Staff is friendly, and the space is quite nice. Open kitchen was fun to watch as was the sunset from our corner table. It looks amazing, but looks can be deceiving. We got started on a few small plates and our wine while reviewing the main course options--and what started out well just didn't live up to the hype, or the price-point. Hard to put your finger on it but it's in the smaller details. Both of our main dishes just lacked the high-end finishes we expected. The staff, while extremely kind and accommodating, didn't have the fine dining expertise to wow you, or the ability to speak to the wine, food or preparation. Even if they had, the food just didn't meet the high-bar the place has set for itself--short ribs felt under done, salmon served skin-side-up was smothered in sauce and nowhere near crispy (so take it off). Some great flavors in both dishes, but not surprising or nuanced enough to talk about. Even the menus themselves had small spelling and punctuation errors. Details. It seems to have a lot of what is needed to be a stand out restaurant in the area--but won't deliver without some more fine tuning to decide who and what they really are and why they exist. Find their soul. I'd love to give them another chance in a year, and see if they can take reviews like this to heart and make this place a killer spot worth the drive. It was beautiful property. The food was good, but the Customer Service was horrendous. Something is wrong in the kitchen, because they could not produce the food in a timely manner. They could not get the orders correct; they ran out of stemware. They served our food to another table. Nice property, but terrible customer service. I did not see the reviews before I ate there which was stupid of me, but now I understand why they have 3 of 5 stars. :( They need a new Manager and the Manager needs to work evenings. read more

Off the beaten path is an understatement. I was not impressed with the meal here (nor were the wife and kids). For starters, their menu is not kid friendly, at all. Like nothing. I mean most places can whip together a burger (nope) or mac and cheese, something, but not here. That was a bummer. I think the best part of the meal was the bread, it was great. We ordered the smoked burrata app (awful) and the octopus (equally bad and really spicy). My wife mostly enjoyed her short rib but I did not think the NY Steak was that good. Maybe they are still getting their feet under them but I wouldn't rush back out here when there are so many great options in town. read more

Two days in to a 3 day stay at Eritage Resort. The fall colors, the vineyard and ambiance are stunning, but tonight we had dinner at the restaurant and were completely blown away. Our table overlooked the vineyard, and we were treated to a beautiful sunset. The whole meal truly exceeded our expectations. My husband and I each had the fresh peach with balsamic vinegar salad and butternut squash soup. The fillet was better than any we've ever had! It seriously melted in your mouth. It was served with beets and the pairing was absolutely delicious. The desserts were to die for, especially the creme brulee. The menu changes with the seasons and I can't wait to see what they offer next. The staff couldn't have been better - very nice and attentive. We can't say enough good things about it. Ugh! Please read all the reviews before reserving a table at this restaurant!! We wanted to love it but we couldn't. We were greeted promptly and sat at a table but then no one came to pour water or take drink orders for close to 10 minutes. The drinks were incorrect when they were served. There was no explanation of the menu or wine list. The appetizer we ordered did not taste good at all. The entrees were good but not amazing and certainly not worth the price point- $62 for filet and $38 for a vegetarian pasta dish. In addition, they add a 20% service charge in with the food charges so you'd miss it if you weren't looking. So that's an almost $80 steak and over $40 for pasta!!! The restaurant is located in a remote area that's probably beautiful but it was dark for our 7:15 reservation and the restaurant itself is gray and stark, no ambience or anything special to add to the experience and make you feel ok about spending that kind of money on dinner. We were in and out in an hour and got dessert and more drinks elsewhere. read more

It is sad that a kitchen of any type would allow something like that out into the dining room, but at $$$ prices, completely unacceptable. I'll give you the TL;DR upfront - it's not worth the price. Extensive review below. We were really apprehensive about our stay because of the mixed reviews. After staying there, we were right to be concerned. I think that the property is beautiful and unique, rooms are well appointed but they are severely lacking in hospitality and attention to detail. We stayed in a lakeside bungalow for $400/night (inc taxes) and I was definitely expecting more. Also, I would recommend you plan to spend a full day enjoying the resort (and not leaving for other activities) as we did. If you don't make use of the property you might as well stay somewhere else for a lot less. First, the pre-stay communication was terrible. I called on 2 occasions and talked to a person immediately. Then, closer to our stay, we called upwards of 10 times before reaching a live person. We left messages that were never returned. I also emailed about a month before our stay and didn't receive an answer for well over a week. When I did receive a response, it was 2 different responses with different answers to my questions. Very perplexing. The room was nice. However, there was a loud vibrating noise that came and went throughout the night that woke us up. I mentioned it upon checking out and all they said was 'weird'. The room includes breakfast and I have to say, it was one of the worst breakfasts I've ever had. The pastries tasted like they were made last year. The staff did not welcome us when we came into the restaurant. On the 2nd morning we were told the kitchen could 'probably make us eggs', which they ended up doing and they were terrible. On the upside, we asked to check in 1 hour early and they were able to accommodate that request. If you have an EV, the main charger is broken, but if you stay in a bungalow you can plug into the exterior plug of your room. Hope this review helps anyone else that may be on the fence about staying. We won't be back. read more

We arrived at the Resort in the afternoon, after being recommended by a waiter in downtown Walla Walla. The place was very nice and right in between a couple of vineyards. There was a staff of one on hand. She was great, getting us drinks and even showing us the resort. We all decided we would definitely come back and book a couple of rooms on the next trip to Walla Walla. We cancelled our dinner reservations and decided to have dinner here. BIG MISTAKE. Food was sub par, and very expensive. One of our guests requested her appetizer and salad be brought out for the main course. It wasn't and being polite she did not want to eat while everyone waited. The Pork Chop had to be returned since it was grossly undercooked. When it was brought back to the table it did not even resemble what was sent back. We should never have eaten here. And the restaurant being empty should have said something to us. On a side note, we did not pay for the dinner that day. No one knew how to work the register. We were asked to leave our info and the resort would contact us for payment. The next day we were contacted and asked for a itemized bill. We were only charged for what we ordered and a 18% service charge was added. We did tip the staff while we were there, chalking up our meal to inexperienced personnel. After reading other reviews, and seeing they have been here for over a year, it was pretty sad. They place was nice, but not worth the price. We will not be back. read more

We went to Eritage for dinner on a quiet Tuesday night. So quiet that we were the only table there for most of our service! Beautiful surroundings outdoors (including a view of the sunset) and a nicely appointed indoor decor. Menu was highly curated, so not a ton of options to choose from. That being said, we enjoyed everything we ordered. Plating was stylish and the flavors and colors popped in each dish. We had the sturgeon, pasta/ravioli, chicken with mushrooms, cheese plate, and corn soup. I've never ordered sturgeon before and loved the preparation (although the accompanying Cous cous and vegetables were a bit bland). Main downside was the knowledge of the food (or lack thereof) shown by the wait staff. Our server gave us the cheese plate without telling us which cheeses we were eating, and also generally he didn't have the knowledge of the plates that you'd expect for an upscale restaurant (especially with such a small menu). read more

Eritage is a new resort and the staff is amazing. The GM, Terra ensured our weekend stay was outstanding. The rooms are cozy and comfortable with a nice fireplace and large bathtub. Our room had a great view and a nice private balcony Check in was pleasant thanks to Kyndra at the front. We had several meals on the property and all of them were exceptional. The Chef, Brian took time to greet us and to describe the meal preparation and wine pairings. Dinner was great, but I really loved the house made granola and fresh fruit at breakfast. read more

The resort was an overall disappointment considering we paid over $600 for one night. The location was great and is situated amongst rolling hills less than 10 minutes outside Wall Walla. The staff was very friendly but it was obvious they had little to no experience in the hospitality industry. When ordering a drink by the pool do not expect to get it anytime soon, and the waiter never came back to see if we wanted another one. The construction of the resort looks good from the outside but as you enter you will notice it's low end finishes and you have to walk through the dining area to get to your room which is very strange. The fireplace in the room did not work and cables both electrical and tv was hanging down visible below the TV. The bathroom sink made a load noise, sounded like a sump pump going all day and nigh. The bed was very nice and extremely comfortable. The cleanliness of the place deserves a 5 star. There was plenty of parking outside as there should be. The resort inside is cheap looking almost as the contractor finished it up on a limited budget. The price does not match the overall experience. read more

Friendly staff and an awesome facility - we didn't tour the place but the dining room was very nice, I'm sure the guest rooms (20 of them I believe) are just as amazing. The view is tough to beat. They claim to use locally produced ingredients and I can not argue that! The prices are of course very high as with any resort type restaurant but that's expected. They have a good wine list with lot's of WA. state wines as well as old and new world selections. Overall a fun experience and great food. My only issue is they apparently add a 20% tip to every check that goes to the resort - the only mention of this I can find is a small paragraph on the website - "A 20% service charge is included on each check. Eritage retains 100% of the service charge. Our professional service team receives industry leading compensation including commissions on sales and extensive education and training for a successful career path." I don't recall seeing it on the menu or anywhere else and we were were not informed of this practice by any staff member so we tipped 20% on top of a 20% increase of the final bill. It's certainly possible we missed the information that was presented somewhere on the menu. read more

The hotel is amazing. Most of the staff were phenomenal. After our day of wine tasting, we had dinner at the restaurant. Our friends were vegetarians and the chef insisted or almost demanded that they have their only vegetarian dish. He would not make anything else for them. I left a message and sent an email to the hotel. She did respond that she would get back to me but that was 4 days ago. It is a bummer that the stay ended on that note. read more

First, let me say the food is excellent and the service very good. My complaint would be the pricing. The base cost was expensive but acceptable. But, they then surprise you with an 18% service fee (for two people). Then, as they bring the card payment slip, there is a tip line. Certainly, I wanted to tip the server--anther 18%. So, add 36% onto your base meal cost. The next evening, we ate at The Marc, which was equally excellent at two-thirds the cost. read more
