Lemon bar Raspberry French Toast
Dennis A.

Holy Mollie! Come hungry, go home stuffed. I had the special Lemon bar Raspberry French Toast and it was fantastic! I was full when I was about 2/3 done but ate the rest because it was so good. I'm pretty sure everything here is great. You'll pay for it though. Not cheap but worth it.

Breakfast time

This place is busy !! You can check in online and get on the waiting list. They don't take reservations but wait time really isn't that long. We waited 15min. Space is big, they have outdoor seating in the front but also have a back area as well. Paulo was our server and she was amazing! So friendly and she listened. We ordered the eggs Benedict to split so asked for an extra plate and when she brought our food our meals were already split up. We were so impressed with her. Each step of our experience she checked in to ensure we were ok. We had the pancakes and they were so perfect. Coffees are good as well. Place is very clean given how busy it is. It's a must when in Walla Walla!

Hearty breakfast.

Looking for hearty breakfast portion? You're in luck at The Maple Counter Cafe! With over three pages of breakfast options you're sure to find your favorite dish, or adventure into something new. Waitstaff are friendly and attentive. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Eclectic antique decor brings this quaint cafe to life. Order online for take out options, or show up early to beat the typical 20 minute wait.

Lavender Mocha (Off-menu) SO GOOD

This is the best breakfast spot in town--whether you're going with friends, family, or a significant other. Service is always quick and friendly, and the food is always delicious. The prices are fair for the portion sizes you get. The only downside is that the spacing between tables (if you're not sitting at a booth) can sometimes feel. a bit cramped, but it has never been a major issue with my friends. I highly recommend joining their waitlist prior to getting there. You easily do this online and it minimizes the time you're standing around when you get there. I also highly recommend their Lavender Mocha. YUM! If you would like another breakfast option to consider, the next best option is probably Bacon & Eggs, which, at the time of writing this review, is in the process of moving to a new location about 3 blocks from Maple Counter on Main Street. But otherwise, this is the most classic place that most here in town would recommend. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great locals Breakfast spot unique to Walla Walla!

Apple Pancake, Link Sausage, Egg

This place was amazing. The staff was all very friendly and attentive. We got an iced cold brew coffee whiskey breakfast cocktail and their spiced apple whiskey breakfast cocktail. Both were amazing. Our favorite part was the house made espresso whipped cream. For breakfast, we ordered the apple pancake and a side of two eggs plus link sausage. The dishes there are all huge, so come hungry! The apple pancake was really good; quite unique. It was kind of like a combo of a pull apart monkey break, apple pie, and a thick pancake. It was pretty sweet, but very very good. Definitely split this with someone of you order it. The inside was quaint; they had each section of the walls decorated with a softer theme, which was fun.

This place was awesome!! Giant breakfast, very good food . 6 in our party and everyone loved what they ordered. Forgot 2 take a pic of food but did take 1 of the apple pancake all of us got a big piece and it was the Bomb. Highly recommend it's a must if in town but on Saturday gotta get there early it gets crowded. We went at 9am and didn't have 2 wait but after we ate the lobby was full and was 1/2 hrs. wait time.

Wow! Everything we had was soooo amazing! We drove to Walla Walla from Tri-Cities to have brunch at the Maple Counter and it was so worth it! We tried the Eggs Nicole, Baja Scramble, Breakfast Trio, Corned Beef breakfast, crepes/cheery blintzes, fresh squeezed orange juice, and a pumpkin spice latte. 100% satisfaction on everything we tried and the service was incredible too. Highly recommended!

Kentucky Coffee next to a regular coffee

Inviting and Satisfying! What a great place to have breakfast in Walla Walla. We walked in about 8:30am on a Saturday morning and were quickly greeted and seated. The place was already hopping with business, but we got lucky as they had a couple of empty tables still. They had some seasonal specials... like the Pumpkin pancakes. They also serve up adult breakfast bevvies in the morning. (You can't Drink All Day if you don't start in the morning. hahahaha!) The husband tried their Kentucky Coffee which had bourbon in it and was loaded on top with coffee flavored whip cream. It was a tad strong so he had them refill his cup with plain coffee once he had taken a few sips. So beware or maybe share it within someone. The pumpkin pancakes were fantastic! I go the short stack ... thinking it would be 3 ... no... it was 4. I didn't finish that 4th one. You could tell they were pumpkin but they were not overly pumpkin-y nor spicy cinnamon-y. It was the perfect flavor balance. They were not super sweet either which I appreciated. I didn't put much butter or syrup on them and just enjoyed them with the sprinkle of powdered sugar. Went great with my cup of Black Coffee. :) My mom had the Salmon Benny. Tasty and they gave her lots of country potatoes on the side. Husband had the Corned Beef Hash with 2 sunny side eggs. I had a bite of his corned beef and it was very flavorful and tender. So, if you like a hearty breakfast, this is a good one to get. You'll be full for most of the day and ready to tackle some big, physical project like putting up holiday decorations.

Water pitcher for the table

Oh my goodness, this place is delicious. We are staying in town, so we walked here on Thursday morning in June 2025. The place was hopping inside, so we asked to sit on their patio and enjoy the lovely weather. The nice guy who sat us brought us a pitcher of water so we'd stay hydrated. A few minutes later, the friendly server came out to ask if we had any questions and to take our order. We decided to go big this morning for breakfast, so we ordered the Eggy Casey, an open-faced toasted croissant with Tillamook cheddar cheese, eggs, and a mushroom gravy on top. On the side, you can have pancakes, potatoes, or fruit. We had pancakes with this meal. We also got the Northwestern Benedict, which includes smoked salmon as the protein. I always get the hollidase sauce on the side because I don't eat it. We chose fruit as our side for this dish. Both meals were fantastic. The buttermilk pancakes were light and fluffy and soaked up homemade maple syrup. The side of pancakes has three, so two people could easily get one meal and be full. After our meal, we were so full and happy that we decided to walk around the cute downtown area.

Was told by a couple wineries and friends to try this place. Drove 1.5 hours for a breakfast we were really excited to try! It was a busy Sunday but they were able to seat us at the heated patio. Staff is super nice! Our waitress was great very nice and attentive. It all went wrong once our food arrived! My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy, the biscuits were dry and not great which is crazy because gravy is over the top and still dry. I ordered the Eggs Nicole, I told this is amazing, but it was awful. Taste wasn't that great, couldn't even cut thru croissant it was so hard, I opened the top of the omelette to uncover lots of foam ( it was the weirdest thing I have never seen before, like why is this foamy inside?!) Eggs Nicole was watery and foamy inside. I didn't eat anymore after I saw that. The pancakes have a plain salty taste, I had to soak them in syrup to make them taste ok. We were so disappointed. On the way home we both started feeling sick to our stomachs, the food didn't settle with us. I will never return

Came to Walla Walla for the weekend and ventured all around town. Decided to stop into this place because it looks super cute and old country style. Walked in and added our name to the list and were told to wait would be 20 to 25 minutes we decided to walk around the area and wait until we got the text. 40 minutes later we received a text to let us know our table was ready we showed back up and they sat immediately. We then waited 20 minutes for a waitress to come by to take our order. Then took another 20 minutes to just get our beverages. We ordered food, and the French omelette was absolutely delicious. The service wasn't great.

WOW!! We had such an amazing experience!! I can't start without mentioning how adorable this restaurant is! Their eye for detail and the little things is incredible! We sat in a room where each wall was a different theme! There was a butterfly wall, an octopus wall, and a raccoon wall! All of the walls had antique looking framed pictures of each of the animals! So adorable! Next, the food! Wow! Incredible! The portions are huge! (In the best way) (You will not leave hungry!) I ordered a fluffy egg with spinach, onions, and mushrooms on a croissant smothered in Hollandaise sauce (Eggs Nicole) 10/10 My sister ordered the blueberry buttermilk pancakes! 10/10 It even came with this fresh blueberry syrup. One word to sum it up: incredible. My mom got the biscuits and gravy! She said they were delicious! Overall the food (and the coffee) was great! Then my last reason for this well deserved 5 starts: the service! Our waitress was so nice and sent this BEAUTIFUL and DELICIOUS apple Dutch baby to our table. It was amazing!! If you are thinking about going here, stop thinking and just head on over! * Side note: we went on a Saturday around 12:30 and didn't have to wait for a table. I can imagine it can get busy bc it's so good!

Maple Counter is absolutely delicious. It's a bit spendy for breakfast, but for on occasion it's definitely worth it.

There aren't many places open in the area on Sunday, but I saw this place had coffee and pastries…read moreso we decided to give it a try. It was pretty busy inside, but after a bit we were able to order. I ordered an iced soy latte with a pump of almond. Also a regular iced latte. I also ordered a few pastries, the Kouign Amann, Almond Croissant, and Goat Cheese and Herb croissant. They unfortunately don't heat up any pastries which I wish they would because I do think it would make the pastries better. The Kouign was my favorite. It was crunchy and delicious and sweet, I would get again. The goat cheese croissant was pretty good but nothing too special. As for the Almond Croissant, I was very disappointed. It had hardly any almond filling, and there was no almond flavor. I wish they would put slivered almonds on it but it was completely lacking. I would skip the almond croissant completely. As for the coffee, I got a regular iced latte and a Soy almond latte. The coffee was not good at all and it makes me sad to say but after a few sips... I had to throw it away! I felt like it threw away $7. It was very watery and the syrup tasted off. This is usually my go-to at other shops but I just couldn't drink this at all. Overall it was cool to try a pastry or two but I wouldn't make another trip here.

A very sweet staff at a winery suggested we visit this spot for pastries and we obliged . We…read morearrived around breakfast time and even though there was a line ,it moved fast. I felt the staff was a little unfriendly and rushed us even though we barely spent a minute ordering . My experience everywhere else in the city had been so phenomenal in terms of customer service that this exchange really stood out . I wouldn't hold that against them though because it could have been an off day. The coffee was just ok ,I would probably skip it next time and stick to getting the baked goods. The goat cheese pastry and the rhubarb were very well made and tasted amazing. The inside is spacious but not the best organized and it was a struggle to pass through tables to get an open seat . The restrooms also were unkempt and the door that opens in the lobby cant be locked which is weird for a restroom in a public setting.
