Pharmacy service is shockingly bad. Waited in line for 30 minutes on a weekday morning to get told my prescription (which had been dropped off the day prior) wasn't filled yet despite the app saying it had been. And that it would be another hour wait. I'm switching to Safeway across the street. read more

Forget the pharmacy, what a mistake coming into this place. Doctor phoned in a Rx 40 minutes before i got here. With no one ahead of me I waited 10 minutes for them to get off the phone to find out they hadn't stated filling it. I told the pharmacist my little girl is really sick & just out of the hospital. She got it done 10 minutes. I think this place needs another set of hands. read more

This place has the worst pharmacy ever, they tell you they will call when prescription is ready but neglect to tell you that you have to request the call back option in their system. So this resulted in me needing to call in to check if my prescription was ready. I spent 45 minutes on hold, finally reaching the 1st caller for the last 25 minutes. I assume they just don't answer their phones though and that the other callers ahead of me simply grew impatient and hung up. So I called and selected customer service and asked to speak to the manager, what a joke customer service is. I was put on hold for another 10 minutes and then they hung up on me. So I called back and finally spoke to Roger the manager, he said he didn't know what was going on at the pharmacy (don't you just love it when the manager doesn't know what is going on in his own store!). Roger told me he would transfer me over there and would immediately walk over and ensure they answer right away. Guess what, 10 minutes later and no pick up. I assumed that I had been transferred about the store without any human picking up. So I called back customer service and no one picked up for 10 minutes.....really??? No one answering customer service!!! In the end I walked to the store to grab my preacription and waited in line 10 minutes to get it. So long Walgreens.......you just lost a very regular customer we will now be using CVS! read more

This review is solely on the PHARMACY!!!! I have been contacting this pharmacy since this past Friday morning after leaving the ER due to severe hypertension and other medical health issues. I called them they told me that my Medi-Cal was in active and said that there was issues with my insurance. Once I called my insurance got everything squared away and situated I called back to see if my medications were ready for pick up then they said it was Caremark on my insurance not medi- cal. I called this Pharmacy back on Saturday and they were giving me wrong information again and each time that I called they seemed like they did not care about the urgency of my need for my blood pressure meds eventho I informed them I was currently experiencing Hypertension when I spoke with A. J. on Sunday when I called he was extremely rude to me told me that the medication was not that serious for me to take and hung up in my face! Then after reaching out to Medi-Cal again and having them verbally call and follow up with the pharmacy. I then called the pharmacy back spoke with the lady named KAREN who was at first seemed nice and then as I talk to her later in the day she sounded very tired irritated and seemed like she didn't want to deal with the difficult insurance issuez So she then hung up in my face! I went into the pharmacy to see if I can get the supervisors information as well as the best person to contact about a complaint email and or letter I want to submit. I was greeted in a very abrupt tone by BEN who was very rude to me. He talk to me in a very aggressive condescending sarcastic tone/way. He never once asked my name or date of birth. He looked extremely exhausted, sweaty & tired . He was being so rude in avoiding my questions and concerns in regards to my medication he was talking to me in a very smart demeaning tone and it even told me if I think that I can do a better job than him at his job then I should work here. It made me somewhat and hurted my feelings at the same time. I voiced to him my frustration & concerns of how the Pharmacy staff should not conduct buisness like this or make patients feel like their life does not matter. I informed BEN my blood pressure has been 190/120 since Friday and the lowest it has gotten is 140/114 I really need this medication and ER told me that I need to take the medication asap. I expressed to BEN my concerns that they may be understaffed because the staff is very rude to the patient and I told him that someone keep hanging up the phone as were on hold. I told him up in my face AJ hung up in my face on Sunday and Karen hung up in my face two times today. I really hate that I had to go to this situation at a Walgreens that I conveniently visit every other day most of the times I came there staff has been rude very short seemed to be very tired with work (low energy) like they didn't want to be there I never paid it no mine but what I have experienced this last couple of days is extremely hurtful I feel neglected as a patient and I feel is UNACCEPTABLE!!! like this pharmacy does not have enough staff that's equipped to deal with difficult insurance situations or how to talk, explain or communicate in a kind nice Resolution Way. I will be following up with the pharmacy supervisor Lwan as soon as possible because they need better training on how to talk and how to deal with patients as well as do not have staff like A.J or KAREN hanging up on patients. Or a huge man staff like BEN arguing with a young woman patient customer in a hostile very aggressive demeaning aggravated tone. I will be taking the necessary steps to report this pharmacy and their staff because it is not OK for them to treat patients who are dealing with you medical conditions In medical conditions the way they treat them it's not OK! to hang up in a patient's face it's not OK! to get verbally aggressive with a female patient is DEFINITELY NOT OKAY!! I'm suggesting no one especially if you are African-American please do not go to this pharmacy at all! They don't care about people & seem to hate they job!!!! read more

Worst customer service for the pharmacy department..since it's the only location open 24/7 and u have a prescription for pick up expect the worst experience ever. Approximately 30min-2hrs wait time and when they say it'll be ready in such time expect an extra 30 minutes...ridiculous waiting time is what I'm rating this review..good luck but for me was bad.... read more

Such a crap show of a pharmacy ! I waited over 2 hours in the waiting area for them to first tell me they never received my script to later tell them they don't carry that medication. The pharmacist then told me she would call and get a similar medication order from my Dr.; I sat and waited 20 more minutes, got back in line for her to tell me she would then call.... all while knowing I was in the waiting area for that to happen. Such a shit show ! Horrible customer service I will be switching pharmacies. read more

Really long lines and wait time at the 24 hour drive through pharmacy. Wish they could figure out a better system to move it along a bit faster. If you can avoid using this pharmacy... DO! Employees are rude, I kept on hearing one of them complaining to customers how they are slow because people keek on cali g in sick and they are understaffed. I went to the window to get my medicine and they told me to wait 30 min that they just received it..... 30 minutes later I came back through the drive through for the other employee to tell me that they just received it so it was going to take another 30 min when I told her that they had already told me that she said "well we just recieved it" and hanged up the intercom! read more

No one is on the corner of Happy & Healthy in this ridiculous line! 20 minutes have passed & there's still 4 people in front of me picking up prescriptions. Every time I have come here, its been a long process, but this takes the cake. The checkers at the pharmacy are either far too slow or their computers are, but Walgreen's should fix the problem if they continue to use the catch phrase, "at the corner if happy & healthy" False advertising at its finest!! read more

Review is for the Pharmacy. Bring a book and be prepared to wait for your prescription even if it is sent over from your doctor 5 hours before. Time to try a new pharmacy that under promises and over delivers, not the other way around. read more

Received great service at this location today at 7:00 pm. Although there were a few people ahead of me in line, the cashiers tried to be efficient. Without going into great detail, I would like say that my experience at the pharmacy in Walgreens on the corner of No. Main and Geary Rd has been the most disrespectful encounter I have ever had with any pharmacist. My doctor did her due diligence of finding a drug store that had my medication in in stock and then only to be told repeatedly by the pharmacist that they do not supply to out of area patients was unbelievable. I not only provide information showing that my doctor's office is in Walnut Creek, but I also showed her my driver's license showing my address in Alamo, and an empty prescription bottle from CVS from Alamo. None of this mattered to her. I'm 74 years old and to be yelled at like I was an idiot was just too much. She had no patience and wouldn't stop talking to let me ask questions or to find out exactly what was it the she need. After making me jump through hoops and waiting for 45 minutes, she gave me the medication but stated that this would be the last time she would fill my prescription unless my doctor provided the correct information. Well believe me, if I have a choice, I will not ever return to this Walgreen again. And to it top all off, this, the store's is filthy. The area around the pharmacy hasn't been swept or mopped in what appears like a very, very long time. Go see for yourselves. This does not instill a lot of confidence when medication is being dispensed. Noma V. read more

On one hand, it's really organized and clean. Big aisles. On the other hand, there's not much selection and what I love going into Walgreens for is their wacky selection of things. Weird foods from other countries and "As Seen On TV" warez. Yes I know that's strange but it entertains me. Didnt find too much here on that hunt but obviously 24 hours and in need of any normal toiletries and light groceries you'd be set. read more

Horrible customer service at the pharmacy. I was shocked by this because I have been using Walgreens for years and never experienced this kind of service . I came to pick my prescription up after it being sent over on Thursday 11 am I get there at 5 in the evening to find out their system crashed which I understands happens but the assistant or who ever was at the cashier had a very bad attitude and acted like she didn't want to help or assist in anyway. No empathy, no care in the world. She handed my prescription to the pharmacist and told me it would be ready in 20 mins told them I'll be back to pick it up. I came back on Sunday to be told my order was not filled and they have to refill it. Asked me to wait another 20 mins once again no empathy or apology. Patients should not be treated like this . This is ridiculous. I hope cooperate see how this pharmacy is treating patients and come in and train them how to properly handle customers/ patients . read more

They gave me a digital receipt when i didn't ask for it and then when they rang my item twice, they won't use the digital receipt!

If the Pharmacy is busy And you call in they will not answer the phone and tell you to hold they will just keep picking up and hanging up and picking up and hanging up because they don't care about customer service they just care about getting through the line and don't know how to multitask. They are nice when they don't have anyone waiting but get overwhelmed and extremely rude when there is a lot of pressure from from customers Waiting. There are a bunch of other pharmacies in the area I would not recommend this one and will not be giving them my business anymore. read more

Something needs to change here. The wait time is always very long. They often seem to be understaffed. Calling a prescription in late at night (like around midnight ) still gets you put on hold for a minimum of 30 minutes. Anyway, I put in an online refill request two days ago. It was not ready yesterday afternoon, even though it was supposed to he ready yesterday at 8:00am. I am back today, and it is still not ready. Have been here over a half hour now. read more

I dislike this Walgreens. I've had too many bad experiences to recount and regale. With the volume of prescription drugs that they distribute, I'd expect a better organized staff. There are some gems, though. The pharmacy staff are mostly helpful--especially the guy who remembers my name. (Sorry that I have forgotten yours--I'll do better). I've changed my pinion and awarded you more stars, Walgreens. Cheers, pharmacy. read more

Ended up coming here to get a supplement that I needed, I was an out of town traveler. The natural markets were all closed. Big ups to the North Main Walgreens customer service and pharmacy. Store Clerks: Polite and attentive with occasional non-sequiturs thrown at ya for good measure. Expected and appreciated. Pharmacy: These folks bust their buns. This ain't no Kaiser pharmacy. The pharmers are breaking hearts and banks North on Main Street. Walgreens supplies meds to the uninsured and County patients. We're struggling and English is often not our first language. Tough crowd. The pharmacy has a drive thru and two registers to service. From what I've observed (5-6 pickups in the past 2 years), the crew maintains a calm manner behind the counter, which seeps over-the-counter onto the sick, cash-strapped, addicted, confused, frustrated, impatient jerky jerks waiting for their drugs. Thumbs up. As noted in other reviews, the joint is open 24 hours = Bueno. It's a Walgreens, so it's itty bitty and understocked measured against CVS and Le Target = No duh. Enjoy the little things in the 'burbs, baby. Our Walgreens aisles are doublewide. read more

And I can't remember the other gentleman's name, but I was complaining (lightweight) that the store had no "healthier" cat food options (I.e. natural ingredients, grain free, etc.). The employee told me that he would request it, because he assisted with product orders. To my surprise, the next time I was in desperate need of wet cat food, bam! There it was! They are open 24-7 & located in Walnut Creek! Well, more like Walnut Creek/Pleasant Hill Border if you ask me (but, I don't know...plus I'm not really a local-per-se (even though I've lived all over NorCal since July 2004 ;) I was in here last night at 10pm picking up a prescription from the pharmacy! 10PM PEOPLE! How cool is that?! So cool. (It's the little things;). It's a Walgreens so I don't expect much- but the convenience of the pharmacy & store hours makes me a Happy-Walnut-Creekian-person-that-lives-here-now-again-type...uhm. Have to re-think that one and come up with a better category name for myself. Final verdict-They're fast, friendly & on point at the pharmacy & the cashiers are supercool too-How cool? So cool that if they know one of your items is on sale or on special (ie. Buy 1 get 1 free) They'll tell you straight up & ask if you want to take advantage of the offer. Score for you & Plus-a-buncha-stars-for great customer service. I shall returneth. read more

Just dropped my girlfriend off after a fun "girls out day", was about to bounce back on 680 and I thought of something I needed at a drugstore. Seemed like a easy turn off Treat, this isn't my normal stomping ground but hey pulling in a space and popped in the store. But right as I walk in a over zealous Walgreen's sales girl says "HI, HOW ARE YOU, CAN I HELP YOU FIND ANYTHING?" with a huge smile plastered on her face in a booming voice. Kinda scared me.... me: Uh, no I think I know what I want. her: OKAY, HAVE A NICE DAY! well....now I feel like I should look over my shoulder incase she's stalking me, just to make sure I don't need help. I'm more determined than ever to find that thing I'm looking for all by myself, thank you. I don't know why, but it was a bit over doing it the second I walked in the door. Okay I'm done with that, the store seemed well stocked and I found the splint I needed and my wait to check out was fairly quick. They even had the new People magazine out (not every store does on Fridays) Score! Got back in Subaru and...Zoom Zoom, I'm on 680 and heading home. read more

This is my quick one stop run especially at night when I realize I have a craving for a Root Beer or perhaps need to get a friend a birthday card before the next day (slacker moments). The employees are generally nice and conversational, especially Darlene. She's also very very helpful when I am looking for something that I can't seem to locate within the store. Prices are typical prices for a drug-store...a bit better than Target though. The layout is pretty simple to navigate but there are times when I find myself looking for something longer than anticipated. Please be warned: if you have a complaint with any Walgreens store or products and contact the corporate office, don't expect to get a return call or email. Walgreens corporate is the WORST (my wife called corporate regarding an item on sale that the store manager said was not according to the corporate office yet it was in a current sales paper). The manager didn't override what was listed in the paper so my wife called to find out what was up with the product. Bottom line, we never heard anything back from our message. But this is no reflection on the store...sometimes things like this happen when the lines of communication are bleared coming from the top. Overall, I'd continue to shop here...great customer service and great prices and great location!!! read more

Worst customer service ever. Every time I come here there is some kind of issue. It's unfortunate that they are such a bad pharmacy as they are conveniently located near my home. Smitha saved the day! I had an urgent prescription need for antibiotics for a raging infection that was causing me a lot of discomfort. I left Urgent Care late in the day and was desperately trying to get my prescription filled asap but it wasn't easy because the drug the doctor prescribed wasn't available at most pharmacies and they were all about to close. I very luckily and fortuitously encountered Smitha when she answered the phone at Walgreens. Smitha took it upon herself to help me access my prescription at CVS and then proceeded to reroute it and get it filled at her pharmacy. We were running out of time and I was afraid it wasn't going to happen. I have no doubt that if it weren't for Smitha, I would not have been able to get my antibiotics until the following day.
