If the Pharmacy is busy And you call in they will not answer the phone and tell you to hold they will just keep picking up and hanging up and picking up and hanging up because they don't care about customer service they just care about getting through the line and don't know how to multitask. They are nice when they don't have anyone waiting but get overwhelmed and extremely rude when there is a lot of pressure from from customers Waiting. There are a bunch of other pharmacies in the area I would not recommend this one and will not be giving them my business anymore. read more

Something needs to change here. The wait time is always very long. They often seem to be understaffed. Calling a prescription in late at night (like around midnight ) still gets you put on hold for a minimum of 30 minutes. Anyway, I put in an online refill request two days ago. It was not ready yesterday afternoon, even though it was supposed to he ready yesterday at 8:00am. I am back today, and it is still not ready. Have been here over a half hour now. read more

I never knew this Walgreens even existed, but I was going around to most of the Walgreens in the area in search of these limited edition only at Walgreens Wet and Wild Holiday eyeshadow palletes! My husband took me here because he said he found a Walgreens I didn't know about and I didn't think I'd have any luck but BINGO I found them here... I also found every color of the Revlon Lip Butters that I've had no luck finding too! On top of that, everything was on sale, and there was a $1.00 off coupon. The nice lady at the register not only honored it, but she took the $1.00 off each product! This store is also open 24 hours too, which is always good in case of emergencies! read more

Last night at 9:30 pm, I uploaded a photo that I needed 20 copies of, and when I got there this morning, they were ready to go. They run really slim on staff in the am, so I had to sneak behind the counter to pick up my photos and pay for them at the front desk. read more

this parking lot is always packed here though there is only a few shops here and a bevmo nearby.. i don't know where all the people go. amongst the items for sale here are chips with a burger king burger taste (2/$7) for the asking price, i'd rather eat the real burger than the chips. just got the walgreen equivalent of nyquil (2/9.99, 6.99 singles) and left . curious they didn't have any day quil equivalents in stock. read more

Forget the pharmacy, what a mistake coming into this place. Doctor phoned in a Rx 40 minutes before i got here. With no one ahead of me I waited 10 minutes for them to get off the phone to find out they hadn't stated filling it. I told the pharmacist my little girl is really sick & just out of the hospital. This place has the worst pharmacy ever, they tell you they will call when prescription is ready but neglect to tell you that you have to request the call back option in their system. So this resulted in me needing to call in to check if my prescription was ready. I spent 45 minutes on hold, finally reaching the 1st caller for the last 25 minutes. I assume they just don't answer their phones though and that the other callers ahead of me simply grew impatient and hung up. So I called and selected customer service and asked to speak to the manager, what a joke customer service is. I was put on hold for another 10 minutes and then they hung up on me. So I called back and finally spoke to Roger the manager, he said he didn't know what was going on at the pharmacy (don't you just love it when the manager doesn't know what is going on in his own store!). Roger told me he would transfer me over there and would immediately walk over and ensure they answer right away. Guess what, 10 minutes later and no pick up. I assumed that I had been transferred about the store without any human picking up. So I called back customer service and no one picked up for 10 minutes.....really??? No one answering customer service!!! In the end I walked to the store to grab my preacription and waited in line 10 minutes to get it. So long Walgreens.......you just lost a very regular customer we will now be using CVS! read more

Really long lines and wait time at the 24 hour drive through pharmacy. Wish they could figure out a better system to move it along a bit faster. I love the employees here!! Travon (spelling?) is awesome and is always smiling. He makes me laugh. And then there's the newest addition, Daisy. Oh, Miss Daisy! She is SO SO SO sweet. She is always so patient and kind. It's obvious that she works really hard to do a good job and make sure customers are happy. Kudos to this Walgreens! Oh! And I can't remember the other gentleman's name, but I was complaining (lightweight) that the store had no "healthier" cat food options (I.e. natural ingredients, grain free, etc.). The employee told me that he would request it, because he assisted with product orders. To my surprise, the next time I was in desperate need of wet cat food, bam! There it was! Ended up coming here to get a supplement that I needed, I was an out of town traveler. The natural markets were all closed. A nice lady helped me who appeared to look asian, I didn't get her name, but she helped me save like $24! She was not lazy, very informative and helpful. Smitha saved the day! I had an urgent prescription need for antibiotics for a raging infection that was causing me a lot of discomfort. I left Urgent Care late in the day and was desperately trying to get my prescription filled asap but it wasn't easy because the drug the doctor prescribed wasn't available at most pharmacies and they were all about to close. I very luckily and fortuitously encountered Smitha when she answered the phone at Walgreens. Smitha took it upon herself to help me access my prescription at CVS and then proceeded to reroute it and get it filled at her pharmacy. We were running out of time and I was afraid it wasn't going to happen. I have no doubt that if it weren't for Smitha, I would not have been able to get my antibiotics until the following day. I am eternally grateful for her diligence, commitment, caring, persistence, follow-through, and just plain LOVE she showed for helping another human being. WOW! Thank you, Smitha! You are AWESOME!! Big ups to the North Main Walgreens customer service and pharmacy. Store Clerks: Polite and attentive with occasional non-sequiturs thrown at ya for good measure. Expected and appreciated. Pharmacy: These folks bust their buns. This ain't no Kaiser pharmacy. The pharmers are breaking hearts and banks North on Main Street. Walgreens supplies meds to the uninsured and County patients. We're struggling and English is often not our first language. Tough crowd. The pharmacy has a drive thru and two registers to service. From what I've observed (5-6 pickups in the past 2 years), the crew maintains a calm manner behind the counter, which seeps over-the-counter onto the sick, cash-strapped, addicted, confused, frustrated, impatient jerky jerks waiting for their drugs. Thumbs up. As noted in other reviews, the joint is open 24 hours = Bueno. It's a Walgreens, so it's itty bitty and understocked measured against CVS and Le Target = No duh. I love Walgreens and I love THIS Walgreens and there are many fine employees here; however, do not EVER call the pharmacy and expect them to answer in fewer than 20 minutes if at all. I have been on hold three times in the past eight days for 22, and 31 minutes. And the last time was today for 20 min. where after 19 minutes of music, it started to ring! Yay! Someone is going to answer! No, it rang for over 30 seconds and then I was disconnected. My son's PA at Stanford was also on hold to talk to the pharmacist about a prescription for 46 minutes! Only once did I get an answer. That was after a wait of 22 minutes at 1:00 AM!!! Tell them, you say? I did after each episode. (I drove to the store after two of the calls. One time I was still on hold with them on my cell phone when I got to the pharmacy desk where there was no line!) When I said, "I believe you have a problem with your phone system", I was told: "I know." "We're answering them." "No , we're just busy." (This was the 1:00 am call) I just called their corporate office in Deerfield, Illinois. Miranda, the customer service rep apologized profusely and assured me they would look into the situation. As I told corporate, if it doesn't get fixed soon, no matter how much I like the store, the employees, or the convenience of the location or the drive-thru window, I will be done with Walgreens. It pains me to say that, but there is no reason to be on hold for over an hour in three calls of which two went unanswered. UPDATE: I went to Walgreens tonight at 7:18 PM. I was the 10th person in line at the pharmacy. I called Walgreens on the phone. After 25 minutes it again rang and then disconnected me. When I got up to the desk I complained about the phone system rather emphatically. She asked if I had a pick up and I said I didn't know because on the app when I pressed refill it said it could not process my refill. Another employee came over and said that there were problems with the app! Great! Problems with the phone system AND the app! When I complained about the phone system, the employee told me that they complained to their manager. Don't know why as he can't do anything about it. Well, more like Walnut Creek/Pleasant Hill Border if you ask me (but, I don't know...plus I'm not really a local-per-se (even though I've lived all over NorCal since July 2004 ;) I was in here last night at 10pm picking up a prescription from the pharmacy! 10PM PEOPLE! How cool is that?! So cool. (It's the little things;). It's a Walgreens so I don't expect much- but the convenience of the pharmacy & store hours makes me a Happy-Walnut-Creekian-person-that-lives-here-now-again-type...uhm. Have to re-think that one and come up with a better category name for myself. Final verdict-They're fast, friendly & on point at the pharmacy & the cashiers are supercool too-How cool? So cool that if they know one of your items is on sale or on special (ie. Buy 1 get 1 free) They'll tell you straight up & ask if you want to take advantage of the offer. Some of the reviewers have already said this better, but seriously...choose a different pharmacy. This is WAY worse than any other pharmacy. It often takes 30-45 minutes of waiting in line at the pharmacy before you get helped. After waiting 45 minutes for six people in front of me to be helped, I finally realized what was causing the holdup--One of my two prescriptions wasn't ready, so the clerk literally walked back to the pharmacist's and waited with them while they filled my second prescription. The clerk stayed in the back there at least five minutes while everyone in line behind me had to wait for my second prescription to be refilled! They make everyone in line wait for the previous person's prescriptions to be filled! What a terrible way to process customers. What is the solution? Easy...she should have told me to wait for my second prescription off to the side, and gone on to help the next customers in line (whose prescriptions were probably ready for pickup). Some of the other customers there had been waiting one hour to pick up their prescriptions... A couple times I have gone around 9 am and was helped in about 5 minutes, which was very refreshing. So, they are doing something right when not a lot of people are there, but during any crunch time this place fails HARD. read more

Just dropped my girlfriend off after a fun "girls out day", was about to bounce back on 680 and I thought of something I needed at a drugstore. Seemed like a easy turn off Treat, this isn't my normal stomping ground but hey pulling in a space and popped in the store. But right as I walk in a over zealous Walgreen's sales girl says "HI, HOW ARE YOU, CAN I HELP YOU FIND ANYTHING?" with a huge smile plastered on her face in a booming voice. Kinda scared me.... me: Uh, no I think I know what I want. her: OKAY, HAVE A NICE DAY! well....now I feel like I should look over my shoulder incase she's stalking me, just to make sure I don't need help. I'm more determined than ever to find that thing I'm looking for all by myself, thank you. I don't know why, but it was a bit over doing it the second I walked in the door. I only come here because my regular pharmacy(Safeway great) isn't open long hours. I can't believe Walgreens as a company let's this happen. It's no mystery either. This is my quick one stop run especially at night when I realize I have a craving for a Root Beer or perhaps need to get a friend a birthday card before the next day (slacker moments). The employees are generally nice and conversational, especially Darlene. She's also very very helpful when I am looking for something that I can't seem to locate within the store. Prices are typical prices for a drug-store...a bit better than Target though. The layout is pretty simple to navigate but there are times when I find myself looking for something longer than anticipated. Please be warned: if you have a complaint with any Walgreens store or products and contact the corporate office, don't expect to get a return call or email. Walgreens corporate is the WORST (my wife called corporate regarding an item on sale that the store manager said was not according to the corporate office yet it was in a current sales paper). The manager didn't override what was listed in the paper so my wife called to find out what was up with the product. Bottom line, we never heard anything back from our message. But this is no reflection on the store...sometimes things like this happen when the lines of communication are bleared coming from the top. Overall, I'd continue to shop here...great customer service and great prices and great location!!! read more
