When something is wrong with your prescription they never call you, you have to call in and be put on hold for 1/2 hour... officially done with this place after several good years... I agree with all the above- worst pharmacy ever!!!!! My 2 yr old is very ill, dr called in prescription , I drive there (15 min), go to the drive thru. Of course it's not ready. I tell them I will go inside to wait so she says another 15 min. I get a few things for my sick toddler , wait in line 15 min later. NOPE! Still not ready!!!! What the f**** are the 5 pp doing behind the counter!? When you have a sick toddler you want to be in and out. Last time I dropped off a prescription around noon and had my husband pick it up on his way home from wk. Still not ready after 6pm!?! He had to go in and wait another hr! WTF!?! Went to fill a prescription was told the wait was 2 hours, I came back 2 hours and 30 mins later and only 1 of 3 items was available. This was after spending 30 mins in line too. I came back the next day and only 1 more item was available, and I was told the other wouldn't be the following afternoon! An absolute joke, the total wait time for the prescription to be filled went from 2hours to nearly 48 hours. It doesn't even deserve the one star really. Avoid at all costs. read more

Every time I go here, the service sucks. Last time, the tissue packs were placed with price tags and it rang up a different amount. It's not my fault they placed it there. Then when I'm checking out and the coupon doesn't scan, they can't enter it in manually. This is ridiculous. They need to update their system. Shopping at rite aid and cvs is much easier than this because the cashier can manually accept the coupons. Even when the cashier called over the supervisor, he couldn't help much. One thing that I give this a star for is that it's 24-hour. The Vietnamese lady at the pharmacy is really nice. One time, I had to go there, she was friendly. read more

This is the worst customer service ever in this store. The moment I walked in I was being followed and the store manager was all angry telling me theres a limit to purchase items in the store. Like really? I wished i would have just left my cart and walk out but i needed toothpaste & mouth wash and I didn't want to go to another store. And all because I had a few coupons. I was shocked that they were treating me this way. I told the store manager what did i do wrong? Can i shop without being followed. That store used to be great. But it is a kind of outdated and it is a kind of dirty around. They need to pick up those shopping carts more often. Zero stars! My family and I have been going to this pharmacy for well over 20-years. I've had many problems over the last year or so, this morning in particularly I was text that my prescription was ready I had a few errands to run so went by for the 2nd time to pickup this time the correct prescription and was told the pharmacist was on break! Keep in mind I've been taking this same medication for a few years, however, this store treats it as a new prescription and could not pick it up until the pharmacist was off his 15-minute break! I asked the pharmacy technician that this is my second time attempting to pick up this medication within a few hours. This is the last time I'm going to this pharmacy they're customer service is worse than terrible. Why should I as a customer wait 15 minutes for some pharmacist to get off their butt from their break and give me my medication? Who's the customer anyway an over paid pharmacist? This pharmacy has lost it's priorities, who keeps them in business anyway, not the employees THE CUSTOMERS! Needless to say this will be my last time purchasing from this particular pharmacy I've had it, do they think I have I have all day to keep returning to get my prescription? TRANSFERRED ALL MY PRESCIPTIONS TO BLOSSOM HILL PHARMACY ACROSS THE STREET (in the medical building) WHERE THEY DELIVER TO MY HOUSE AND HAVE NO LINEs AND NO WAITING (ALSO Blossom hill has 5 stars on yelp)! This walgreens pharmacy it the worst in every way! I was on hold for 45 minutes and then the phone randomly hung up on me (mind you no one had even greeted me during this 45min). Then when I called back I was on hold for over another 30 minutes, this time someone picked up but while they were checking on my prescription for me they hung up on me again! I go to Blossom Hill Pharmacy (408-224-8192) now across the street in the medical building (Health Mart the outside sign says) and the staff, Leah, Bethany, Michelle and Stephanie are fantastic! Watch out for this liar pharmacist, Trung or Truong. He helped me once about reducing my co pay for my medicine in May 2017. When I went back in July, he denied the fact he did help me when I tried to ask him to do the same thing---this in spite of the fact that the pharmacy printed out the last transaction in May! Its like a sh*t show and no one has authority to take responsibility ever. Why this Walgreens Pharmacy is still up and running is a complete joke! Went it at 9pm not to busy when I walked in. I had a RX from kaiser and they lady told me it would take up to 24 hours to get approved, then I explained to her that Kaiser just told me that all Walgreens needed to do was call the number that Kaiser wrote down and they would approve, the lady said oh ok I will see if we can do that. So I sat there for about 10 minutes then she said to me yes we can call it will be a few minutes. Then 20 minutes later I hear her ask this other tech "hey did you ever call Kaiser?" Tech "no was I suppose too?" 1st lady "yes" Tech "ok". Then she called Kaiser...This was almost 35-40 minutes after I dropped off the RX. It took over an hour for my RX to be filled. About 4 people came in after me had there RX dropped off and filled before mine was and I was there way before they were, mine just was not being worked on for whatever reason. Finally my RX was done but this visit was my last I think to this Walgreens I felt like they didn't care about my time and that I was just sitting wasting my time for over an hour. read more

I'm still only giving 4 stars because I've never had a problem with the store itself, AND the fact that after my prescription issue, I talked to one of the pharmacists, she LISTENED to me, looked back in the records, found where the tech seemed to have made up her own instructions on the prescription, and FIXED the problem! If I could put zero stars, I would. This place is a complete joke. Today I waited 40 minutes in the drive thru, only for them to tell me my prescriptions weren't ready.. even though I got a text from them saying it was ready. This is on top of the fact that I had to call them 3 times to finally get someone to actually do their job and fax something to my doctors office. Seen all the negative reviews, and frankly have experienced the opposite. We purposely go to the pharmacy (drive thru and in-store) at non-rush hours and have no problems. In the late afternoon, there is often a wait in the store. Staff has been helpful, both in the pharmacy and in the store, including the photo department where I have had photo books made through the on-line service and uploaded to the store for printing. When one album did not come out (improper binding) it was redone perfectly. Certain ladies at the front cash register are friendly and I enjoy speaking with them while being rung up. This Walgreen's in convenient for 24hr prescriptions, grabbing an early morning orange juice or summer afternoon ice cream, hosiery, cosmetics, seasonal items, greeting cards, necessities and sundries. The con that I see is in the parking lot, outside the store and not Walgreen's issue. read more

I came here for my flu shot since my doctor's office won't have any opening until next week. This should be a painless experience where you go in pay for your shot, get your shot and leave, but turned out to be a whole 45 minutes process. Waiting was one thing, but the big issue for me was that the shot station looks sloppy and unorganized. I'm extremely huge on being clean ( bleaching everything for cleanliness is a must) so seeing needles, vaccination shots, paperwork everywhere on one table just screams UNSANITARY to me. I kept asking the lady if the needle was clean and I'm sure myself that it was, but having the uncertainly to have to ask because of how messy they are is a HUGE NEGATIVE for me. Will I go back for another shot here ? Definitely not because I rather pay the extra $15 dollars or however much more it is to get one done at my doctor's office. read more

I want everyone to know this store does not offer rain checks! I went in today about 10:30am and with a few other people asked about the eggs that were on sale ... one lady went in yesterday and was told that first thing today/this morning they would be in... well by 10:30 they were still not in.. i spoke to the manager who said berkeley farms was delayed and they would not be in till later! OMG and this is our fault how??? I said then you should give us rain checks as the others asked for too.... He informed me that it was "THEIR COMPANY POLICY" NOT TO GIVE RAIN CHECKS --- even though they are out of a sale item! Their competition cvs , rite aid and numerous others gives r.c's and this is not the first time they have been out of something on sale.... The pharmacy is sometimes busy but you never see the employees just standing around doing nothing . their always hustling to get there job done. I used this pharmacy years ago but stopped because they took forever to fill a prescription. I came back because the pricing for a medication was cheaper than another pharmacy. One month ago I brought in a prescription to this pharmacy for the first time in 10 yrs. It took an hour and a half for them to fill on a Monday at 10 in the morning. So today I bring in a prescription for the same medication and same quantity a little before noon. I asked if I could wait for the medication and I'm told that it will take 2.5 hrs. They will contact me when it is filled. I figured it is to late to ask for the script back since they have written all over it. After the allotted time I decided to drive down to this pharmacy thinking they have forgotten to call. It is now 3 hrs when I finally make it thru the line to the pickup window. They state that the prescription is not filled. They are "working" on it and they will contact me when it is done. I stated that when I dropped the prescription off that I was told 2.5 hrs. They stated that they do not give times for prescriptions to be filled but they contact the party when it is done. So instead of leaving, I just went and sat down in the waiting area as I was not leaving until the my prescription was filled. After about 15 minutes the individual who helped me saw me sitting in the waiting area. She again asked for my name and I guess she went to check on the status because the gentleman pharmacist came and stated the same story that they are working on my prescription and will contact me when ready. I stated that I can wait and continued sitting in the waiting area. I was not making a scene this whole time I was sitting in the waiting area, I continued to play on my phone and then decided to write this review because I was not leaving until my prescription was filled. At about 3.35 pm I was told my prescription was ready for pickup. So this pharmacy has not improved at all even after being away for 10 yrs. I was using the pharmacy across the street. I have also taken prescriptions for this same medication to two other pharmacies as I am always looking for the cheapest pricing due to paying cash. NONE of these other pharmacies have taken longer than 30 minutes to fill the very same medication and quantity. I don't know if all Walgreens are like this or if it is only this location. Today was the last time I use this location, No matter what the savings would be it is not worth the trouble this location puts their customers through. Seeing the other reviews done on this location, I am not the only one that has had issues with the service..... read more

I switched pharmacies some time ago because this particular Walgreens has HORRIBLE service. Medications are always out of stock, lines are super long due to inadequate staffing. Their systems are always breaking down so instead of sending someone outside to let customers know that they can only accept cash.... they let everyone wait in that line until they got to the window. As Mike G. stated, one of the few 24 hour pharmacies in the area. It's worse than bad. I dropped off a *paper* prescription (one of my physicians refuses to deal with them so he mails me prescriptions versus calling them in directly) this morning with 2 medications on it. I got the text telling me the prescription was ready. It was about 8PM and after a 20 minute wait in the drive thru, they give me *one* prescription. When I asked where the other one was, the tech looks it up and I guess realizes that they missed filling it. She said "Come back at 10". No apology, no nothing. On 1/11 a common prescription for my daughters ear infection was sent over from her doctor at 2pm. I stopped by after her appt but line was long so I came back just before 6pm to pick it up. Was told it is not ready they asked me to stay in the store and wait 30 minutes otherwise they could not guarantee to get it ready in that time. I argued that I live less than 5 minutes away and could easily come back in 30. They finally agreed to honor this 30 minutes. I show up in 30 min. And wait an additional 20 in line for them to tell me they are out of this medication. Could they not confirm they have it before waisting my time? They send me to a different store and I go only to learn they have not sent over the request for my prescription. New store calls them but gets no answer for 20 more minutes. Still no antibiotics for my daughter WHAT A JOKE!! read more

I was outraged today when I went to get a prescription filled from this pharmacy. My Dr increased my dosage on my medication, when I went to have it filled AMY said that my insurance wouldn't cover it and I was to call them. So I did and my insurance asked that I have the pharmacy call to explain the details of my new script. I called AMY back to inform her of something she should probably already know. She told me that they were backed up and wouldn't be able to get around to it for a couple hours and even when she would be able to get around to it that the prescription wouldn't go through cause it was too early. Amy didn't want to help me at all, in fact through the tone in her voice I knew she only wanted to be done with the conversation. I insisted she try and also gave her a name to whom I had spoken with at my insurance company. She told me that she will only speak to who ever answers the phone. Amy then said ah huh and then hung up on me in mid sentence. I needed my med's and knew no one at walgreen's was going to take the time to listen or help me. (Talk about not going the extra mile) I waited on the phone through the pharmacy exchange one last time to speak with some one only to let them know that I was on my way down to get my script back and take it somewhere else. What do you know I talked to Amy again and when I told her I wanted my script back she said that's fine it will be waiting at the desk for me. I picked up the script (Amy was nowhere to be seen of course) and took it to Lucky's pharmacy on Capitol expressway. There I told Mary of my situation and within an hour she had called my insurance company, my Dr and received approvals from both. It was like magic, Mary at Lucky's pharmacy filled my prescription. (Mary GREAT JOB!!! Thanks for going above and beyond!) I FEEL LIKE GOING BACK TO WALGREEN'S AND SHOWING THEM HOW OTHER COMPANIES FILL A PRESCRIPTION. "THIS IS HOW ITS DONE!" I ALSO WANT TO SHOW WALGREENS MY NEW BOTTLE AND THE RECEIPT TO PROVE I ONLY PAID MY $10 CO PAY. Called Walgreens at 440 Blossom Hill Road in San Jose, CA on Saturday to fill my prescription for pick up on Sunday. When I went to pick it up on Sunday, they told me that they needed to call my doctor for approval. Monday when I went to pick it up in the evening as I worked late that day, Kathy (that was rude, had the most awful attitude and honestly, was the most unprofessional human being I've ever had the pleasure to deal with!) tells me that "the shipment" won't be arriving on Thursday! Why doesn't someone call to tell patients that their medicine is not going to be ready? I can't be without my medicine for longer than 2 days and it's going to be more than that before I get my medicine. Now, this Kathy gal offers to transfer me to CVS - guess what? She did not have the phone number for CVS, so my question is - how was she going to transfer me? I gave her the number - she still could not transfer me! Not that I wanted to be transferred as I knew I was dealing with someone that did not care about the job, but wanted to see how far this Kathy gal would go. Then she asked me if she could do anything else for me? Do something for me? What did she do for me in the first place? Sooooo frustrating! It's all about the money! They don't care if we get sick! The worst. called to have a prescription transferred. Called seven hours later, presuming that to be enough time. After waiting on hold 15 minutes, the clerk picks up says there is nothing on file for me and puts me back on hold to go look for someone who might know what's going on. After twenty more minutes on hold, I hang up and call back. Ten more minutes on hold, woman answers, can't find anything regarding my prescription. I tell her that's weird considering it's been seven hours. At this she exclaims, it was seven hours ago?? Uh, yes. Runs of to go ask other person if they know anything. I over hear the conversation, which from what I can gather amounts to them having forgotten to call. She comes back to phone apologetic, saying the pharmacist called and left a message. Thanks? She says they will call back now. Great, but the other pharmacy is already closed. Should have listened to the other reviews. read more
