I have been coming to this Pharmacy for about 10 years. I have now transferred my prescriptions from Wallgreens to another pharmacy. Service used to be fine, but not anymore. There is a lot of waiting and the online system that tells you when your prescription will be ready, or even when you speak with a pharmacist that tells you your prescription is ready, it usually is not. My sense of this facility is that they are understaffed. This week was the last straw. I received a refill in Sept, that was supposed to be 90 pills, but I got only 60. I did not notice that until I began to run out of capsules and I was told there was an insurance payment issue because I was refilling a month early. I told the store manager about it and she REFUSED to do anything about it. She blamed the manufacturer because it was a manufacturer sealed bottle that said 90. I had to tell my doctor what happened, because he would need to write a prescription a month early. Fortunately for me, my insurance kicked in just at day 60 of the refill so I got the next 90 day refill. Again I received a manufacturer sealed bottle. I told the pharmacist about the previous issue with being shorted 30 capsules and asked if I could just count them right there. She said "these have already been verified." It was as if she was NOT hearing me. All I was asking for was a little concern. The previous bottle came the same way - sealed by the manufacturer. It would have been "verified" as well, but it still came with 60 pills. She did at least count the pills and confirm it was 90, which was good, but the damage to this business relationship had already been done. She said if it happens again, it is the manufacturer. Wallgreen's employees at this facility REFUSED to take any responsibility for me being shorted 30 pills, completely shifting blame to the manufacturer. It is relieving to me to be taking my business elsewhere, which is a shame. read more

I am not a criminal. But I felt like one when I went shopping at this Walgreens yesterday. I get that theft is a problem, but every visit more merchandise is either locked up or bolted to the shelf, requiring staff assistance. Deodorant, shaving cream, nail clippers, eye drops, But not vitamins, for some reason. Or household supplies. Once the employee had unlocked my eyedrops, I wasn't able to add them to my shopping bag; they had to be "held" at the register (why?). If you really don't trust me to shop at your store, I won't. read more

Yay for 30 minute digital print processing!!! I put in my order with the photo kiosk, ran some errands and got my print in 30 minutes! Yes, I said "print," one 4x6" photo. The photo lab technician even had patience with me when I was paying with pennies. $.29 for a 4x6" print, $.32 after taxes... paying with pennies wasn't really a big deal. Now that I'm finished ranting about the cheap and quick digital print, onto the rest of the store! Like other drugstores, they carry the same merchandise: health products/pharmacy, beauty products, seasonal items/holiday gifts, snack foods, etc. Walgreens has a similar rewards program comparable to those of other drugstores like CVS or Rite Aid. It requires you making a qualified purchase, getting a voucher/coupon for the dollar amount that will be taken off your next purchase. These programs are great, but just make sure you remember to use the voucher/coupon on your next purchase before it expires. Lousy customer service and the manager is rude and lacks empathy for the store's customers. My daughter's ankle hurt, and we used the store wheelchair for shopping and purchased crutches. When leaving the store, I had a basket full of groceries and the crutches I had just bought. My car was 5 feet away from the door, and it was easier to roll my daughter to the car. I was followed out of the store and treated like a criminal. This store is horrible. read more

I go in to this Walgreens occasionally to develop pictures from my thumb drive. But recently, I've been in there more often to get cold medicine, and now... allergy meds. The people at the pharmacy are always great, offering advice on what works well. Example, I did not know Allegra works faster and is stronger than Claritin ( that's good 411 when I'm suffering! ) The photo dept. always get my pics printed quickly, unless I'm stuck behind someone printing 300 vacation pics. Convenient, never too crowded & good advice on drugs. I'm satisfied. read more

My dad asked me to order a product for him online. Of course I worked my magic on the world wide web and was able to find the exact product for the lowest price on a Walgreens website. Walmart is my go to spot for everything! But unfortunately, it was a little pricier than Walgreens. You have the option to pay about $8 for shipping to your house, or FREE shipping to any Walgreens of your choice. Why would I pass up free shipping?? The order from start to finish was a breeze. It was my first time ordering online, or actually purchasing anything from Walgreens! There was a nice gentleman who called and left me a pleasant voicemail the day of (Monday 3/12 in the morning) to let me know my order was ready for pick up. My order even came a day earlier than expected!! I have always underestimated Walgreens, but now that there is a location super close to me, I won't mind coming here more often! read more

The worst Walgreens customer service in the area. Best to do online orders and pickup at this store but not in-store purchases. They do not do price match to Walgreens.com. They do not do even exchanges when it is allowed. There are several employees who are friendly and love it when they help me, but the manager is not nice at all. read more

This pharmacy answers the phone tells you to hold and hangs up. You can't get information on when you're medicine is ready because they don't put your phone number down on the automated system. I've taken my prescriptions to every major drugstore and when I moved to Monrovia, I started coming to this Walgreens. Of all the fantastic pharmacists I've had the pleasure of shopping with, this Walgreens has the friendliest and most knowledgeable staff. They never make mistakes and always keep me up to date with all their latest technologies like paying on my app so it's ready to go when I get there. Since they closed the Walgreens on Foothill next to Ralph's, Arcadia our prescriptions were automatically transferred to this store. 1. Parking spaces are limited 2. Very congested area with McDonald's, Jersey Mike's etc. 3. Drive thru pharmacy is a nightmare, pulling into from Mayflower is a very sharp right turn that needs maneuvering. 4. Pharmacy wait time is irritating. 5. "Gentleman" that mans the pharmacy register is a sourpuss! He's reluctant to give you a bag for your purchases. 6. My daughter-in-law feels the same way about this store and location. 7. Transferred our prescriptions to Huntington/Mountain store. Much friendlier staff and very efficient. As this mini Walgreens is medical supplies only, I plan on using Rite Aid or maybe CVS for other shopping which will eliminate any reason to go to the Huntington/Mayflower store. 8. Barely go drop the low comments on business but I can not take this. Went to this location this morning and trying to get some flu medicine, took the one I always get and also that's on sale, go checkout and the dude just told me the total was 24 bucks, but that price marked that members only get for 12, I ask him why the price is different from the tag. He told me only if the members, but he didn't show me the screen to put my number in, so I assume the guy probably just doing it over and over again to people who doesn't check the price, and that's how the company make the profit read more

Bad service in pharmacy. Stopping the drive through to get an over the counter (stored behind the counter) item. I figured since you can pick up actual prescription in the drive through that it would be ok. You have to give them DOB etc. anyway. "Oh no you have to come inside for that". Drive home to drop off the dog and drive back. Go inside. WE ARE OUT OF THAT ITEM ". Seriously ????? The young lady was incredibly "chill" and just didn't seem to give a F at all. I have shopped at Walgreens for nearly 20 years. After this situation; I'd rather go to cvs. I went to get gift tissue paper. The shelf sticker said $3.99, but I was charged $4.99. When I asked about the price difference the manager said " umm see it's $4.99!! I responded, you were in that isle, the sign says $3.99, come with me and I'll show you. I was right, it was $3.99 price sticker. She went to go and refund me and said I could only get .64 cents back, and poorly explaining it. She says because it was on sale, i only get .64 cent back? But I was over charged? Not sure how that works? I called corporate to Complain, and wasn't even offered a refund. This company is totally loosing its customer service. So angry at this Walgreens Pharmacy right now. I made an appointment earlier today for a 4:45 PM COVID vaccine. The system did not send me a confirmation and I didn't know I needed one. I arrived at 4:20 and there was one person ahead of me and no one behind me. 30 minutes later when Sara finally finished processing that person's paperwork and after taking another 15 minutes to come back to the window, she told me they didn't have record of the appointment and I couldn't prove I had made one. By then there were 4 people behind me. I asked to speak to the manager since I had already invested a lot of time and hoped she would help me, but at 5 PM Sara said she had just gone to lunch and wouldn't be back for 30 more minutes. If she had come to the window right after taking care of the previous patient, no one was waiting and there was no reason they couldn't help me. If I get COVID I'm going to make their lives miserable. Probably not, but I'll want to. Amazingly poor service. Try to go somewhere else if you can. As for Sara, poor woman seemed truly overwhelmed. The pharmacists are great at this location. Through the years I have had questions regarding over the counter medications and prescription refills. I really appreciate their help. The store is always clean. I wish someone managed the makeup/perfume counter full time. They used to have employees there who were helpful with questions and more importantly knowledge of coupons! They would pull out coupons and help me maximize my savings. Customer service overall is good at this location and many of the same employees have been there for years. read more

Never thought I'd waste time writing a review on a Walgreens BUT...I go to this one all the time. Yesterday I wanted to blow my head off, my allergies were so bad and the pressure in my head and sinuses was unbearable. The pharmacy is usually busy, but I took a chance to see if the pharmacist would help me, even though I wasn't there to drop off or pick up any prescribed meds. I've been suffering like this for years and have been to countless Kaiser Permanente doctor visits and came home with crap nasal sprays, Claritin, Zyrtec, etc. I'm sure I've paid over $200 trying to get something for my allergies and none of that has helped, not even by 5%. One visit to this Walgreens and help from a pregnant pharmacist (unfortunately I was too sick to notice her name) solved my years worth of suffering. She basically confirmed my MDs been giving me sh*t medications and handed me Advil Allergy & Sinus from behind the counter. $16 and two hours later- f*@$ing good as NEW, no lie! This review is for the pharmacy in regards to their stellar job assisting me and helping me through all the red tape and problems caused by the insurance companies. On more than one occasion someone from this pharmacy has worked with me to help sort out my crazy expensive medications. It's no secret that all the medicine we buy is inflated by 400% and the health care world is overwhelming to say the least. I had 4 prescriptions that were pending approval, one of them was pending for over a month. I really needed the other 3 as I had a tooth infection for 4 days. So I went there on a Sunday to try and buy all meds out of pocket (my doctor's office was closed) but then they approved all 4 meds on the spot! If they could've done that sooner they could've spared me A LOT of pain! Was it laziness? Was it the app? It definitely wasn't my doctor as they couldn't have called him on a Sunday! read more

I think one star is too high of a rating for this pharmacy. This Walgreens is easily the worst pharmacy I've had to deal with and I hate that my insurance no longer covers CVS, otherwise I'd switch. Every time I go in, regardless of whether there is a long line or no one in front of me, there is a ridiculous wait time. I've picked up a prescription on more than one occasion, and while being "helped", the pharmacist started stocking other prescriptions -right in the middle of ringing me up. There was no one else behind me, so it could have waited a few more seconds. Everyone behind the counter is incredibly loud when requesting information or stating anything related to why you're there, so good luck with keeping anything private. The few times I've attempted to call, the line either goes dead after being on hold or someone answers, tells you to hold and hangs up. read more

This review is mainly for the photo department. Every time I get my photos done (I only use the free coupon codes for free photo prints from Walgreens), I usually pick this particular location. When I come to this location, most of the time there is no one in the photo department and so I have to ask someone to call someone over. A lot of the times, I have to wait a while until someone comes over to give me my photos and cash us out through the register. Very rarely do I come in here and not have to wait in a line or wait for a sales associate to help me out. Other than the photo department, I do not shop at any other part of the store. The only reason I continue to go to this location is that it is one of the closest places for my photos to be done at. read more

Avoid this pharmacy at all cost. I have never in my life encountered such incompetence and utter lack of human decency. As a mom of a young child who is sick, I came here looking for some help regarding a prescription his pediatrician had written. The pharm tech was useless and tried to rush me along because there was another customer (who had been there all of 30seconds before the pharm tech and pharmacist started yelling). Didn't have the same luck as Jennifer W. on photo processing. We uploaded 6 shots on Walgreens.com and elected to pick them up at this Walgreens location. We got to the photo counter and stood there for a few minutes looking for someone to help us. Another customer went to the front register and asked to pick up photos there. She paged the photo technician and had the employee help the other customer instead of us! When we pointed out that we had been waiting for several minutes, he snottily said that he could help both of us at the same time. I gave him our last name (Garcia) and he handed us a random packet of pictures that was stuffed full of shots. It wasn't ours! So then we discover that, despite having confirmation, they never received our order. So we had to do it again and wait another hour. I browsed the school supply section prior to our photo fiasco and the prices were appalling! An off-brand Trapper Keeper-type folder was $17.99, "on sale" for $9.99! What a ripoff! read more

I use the quick print photos all the time via the Walgreens app where you can upload your photos and use the discount code. Well I was emailed two different emails with two different subtotals. When I got to the store the price was again different. When I asked about the differences in the emails and whether the discount was applied to the total the cashier didn't understand what was being asked of her. She guessed at every reason why she thought the price was what it was and it must've been because I didn't add the discount code. Once I showed her the emails I had received she thought she had an answer by pointing out the order number which turned out to be the same number. She continued to try to guess her way to a reason as to why this happened. What makes it worse is I think she's the manager. read more

This is such a horrible Walgreens pharmacy. I miss the location in Arcadia! The staff there was always quick, sufficient, and knowledgeable. Monrovia is the complete opposite. There's a 7 million dollar law suit against Walgreens, and I'm sure if that wasn't happening the other two locations in Arcadia would still be open. read more

This day being saturday with our doctor already having closed his office, I was resigned to having to wait until Monday. Not only did Heather track down my daughter's doctor, Heather also sent and had BOTH prescriptions ready for pick-up within a short time at a Walgreens close to my office.
