Pharmacy here although slightly under staffed, seems to be knowledgeable and willing to help customers. The techs are willing to help you find items on the floor, and the pharmacists seem to know a good deal about otc things to use for children. read more

This is a terrible pharmacy. I ordered a prescription on a Friday that they said they would have to order but wouldn't have until the following Monday. Then, when I called on Monday, they told me I'd have to wait until Wednesday, the 23rd. I called on the 24th but they had given my prescription to SOMEONE ELSE!! I had CVS before and they would never have done this. This kind of treatment is practically malpractice. I really wish my insurance had never switched to Walgreens. read more

I am writing this review for the pharmacy only... I have not had any real experience with the store per se. I just got off of a call to the pharmacy with a 15 minute hold time and still never got through. And this is not the first time. Long wait times in line (one time there were two people ahead of me and it took over 15 minutes before I was served) and long hold times on the phone. I needed a special order medicine at one point... they said they could have it in two weeks. I checked with CVS across the street... 3 days to get the same medicine. I started using Walgreens instead of CVS because of some insurance savings... but I am switching back to CVS and paying the extra cost. It is just not worth it to try to deal with this understaffed and poorly managed pharmacy. read more

This wallgreens is okay. I just go for emergencies only. So when i do go its to grab one thing or two quick. Customer service is okay. I can tell they dont really have one person on the floor to help u find anything. Looks pretty slow bussiness. read more

Customer service is horrible here came in only one customer at the register two people standing there chitchatting with the customer who was done. When they were done with their conversation, the lady came over to ask me what I wanted at photo pick up & was kind of short with me apparently did not want to be over there said she couldn't find my order, I could see it on the counter. she got upset that I could see it and she didn't when she was looking told me to check through my order (3prints) and then go get in line because now there was a line behind me...I had to wait for other people to go through checkout before she could finish checking me out. ridiculous! read more

hi there very upset. this locations pharmacist's work on their own time and decide that the pharmacy is closed in the middle of the day. i find it quite rude and concerning the provider of my prescription is just dilly dallying when people need their medications to survive. walgreens you need to be better. read more

I don't usually leave reviews for anything. I just don't have the time and even when I am frustrated I typically like to let things go. But its time to speak up. I urge anyone else who has like experiences (I know there are many) to speak up. I live in Lemon Grove and I would like to visit my local Walgreens without feeling tense due to the climate of disrespect. iTs interesting how the reviewer before me (Quay) stated there is nothing special and that the employees may be burned out and that its just a walgreens. She is right... that is a good experience for Lemon Grove Walgreens. You never get anything more and in fact Ive been getting much worse. I think we should be treated just like the customers in North Park where you are greeted with smiles, & employees want to help you. When you see that then you realize we are seriously being short changed! I am a person who loves to use coupons. So I typically love stores such as Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid. And I was very very excited when Walgreens came to Lemon Grove because they are on each corner. But this was very short-lived. Let me explain exactly why: 1. I have walked into this store 11am Saturday morning and all of their advertisements were taken down. It makes it very difficult to find what is on sale and what is not. When I mentioned it to the clerk she said that they were getting ready for a change in advertisements. Its a saturday when many people run errands. That should be done at night... not early morning. Another time I walked into the store on a Monday and the advertisements were not posted for certain items. I only realized they were on sale because I had the weekly ad and asked the cashier to run the bar code. I mentioned to her that the sale was not marked. She just shrugged her shoulders as if to say "Oh well." Sales not being marked has happened more than once at this particular Walgreens, but for it to be a Monday and them not to fix it... is ridiculous! 2. The night time manager/shift lead/supervisor is very disrespectful. I think his name is Marcisio. THIS IS MY #1 reason for not liking this walgreens. He gets angry if we walk into the store 10 minutes before closing even when we know exactly what we are going to get. We once walked in with 12 minutes to get 4 items. He didn't greet us and gave off a long sigh. When the clerk was having difficulty he didn't move an inch to help her. He was making it clear he didn't want us there. He speaks down to customers. He may say the Walgreens words "Be Well" but he doesn't mean them. He NEVER smiles, even when you try to go out of your way and make small talk with him. Last week I learned Dr. Pepper was not considered a coke product, I asked him if I could change it to sprite in order to use my coke coupon. He was frustrated, whirled around walked to the back, grabbed the sprite and dropped it on the counter. He wanted to make it VERY CLEAR that he was not amused. This week he walked out of my moms face when she tried to show him he made a ring-up error and made a side comment "I rang what was on the counter" He ignored her attempts to continue the discussion and walked to the back. She had to have him paged TWICE to get him to come back and look at the receipt. When he realized he did the ring up wrong, he simply fixed it, without any apology, and said as we walked away again, "Be Well". I can go on and on with specific incidents... not just vague comments. I would urge corporate to watch the recorderd videos and simply watch his gestures and body language. You can see his demeanor easily through his nonverbals. 3. This store will treat couponers as if they "are getting away with something". Its very hostile climate. Seems ironic because at some Walgreens (North Park, HIllcrest, Clairemont) they will actually cut out newspaper coupons and give them to you. In fact in most instances Walgreens is typically more coupon friendly than other stores. This store acts like coupons are weapons and couponers are the enemy. There is one person at this store who has always held a smile on her face and has always been polite... Eleanor. Even if she cannot accept a coupon for whatever reason, she is always respectful and customer friendly. She always greets people as they walk in and if something is out of stock she will check the back for you. Seems like she should be the manager! In general if you are just getting a prescription or quick item, then this store may be okay for you. But if you choose to use coupons at this store where you have to frequent the store more than twice a week then you'll see its not a very nice store and even more it has a terrible climate for couponers. They don't like to rain checks. They won't let you buy more than one sale item unless its Saturday. COUPONERS do NOT use this store unless its a last resort. I plan to make that clear to all. No one deserves to be disrespected! read more

This drug store has the worst customer service. I much prefer the CVS or Rite Aid, both within a stone's throw.

I went into this location and wasn't greeted by a single employee. A manager passed by me and didn't even say hello or welcome. The staff isn't personable and some are even rude. I'll continue to shop across the way at Rite Aid where the staff goes out of their way to assist their shoppers and greet you when you walk in. I'd be ashamed to work at this Walgreen's. read more

Tried to pick up a prescription on a weekday afternoon. Three people were in line ahead of me, and only one pharmacy tech was available to wait on people in the store, wait on people driving through the drive-through window, and answer the phone. I finally left in frustration. Very poor service compared to other pharmacies in the area. read more

I too am puzzled by the negative reviews. So far I have been nothing but satisfied by this store. The employees are friendly, especially at the pharmacy. I transferred my prescriptions here because I was fed up with a neighboring pharmacy because of incompetence and bad attitudes (praised by another reviewer, interestingly) and have been glad I did. I have been going to this store for about 6 months and have been completely satisfied. read more

I do not recommend this pharmacy to anyone. I wish Yelp allowed negative star review. They always out of stock on all of my medication. I have to spend at least 2 trips on every single prescription. This pharmacy messed up my mother's prescription. They did not explain anything to us and my mother almost ended up in the hospital for being overdose. When I came back and ask for an explanation, I was told that they want to save 12 tablets of a cheap antibiotic so they put 2 different manufactures into the bag. They were literally scolding at my mom for not reading the label instead of asking how she was doing. I guess they valued 50 cents of drug more then my mom's life. This place is always filled with excuses and condescending attitude from the staff. The board of pharmacy should shut down this place because they only care about money and not your health. Stay away from this place as far as possible unless you want to wait 45 min to get a wrong prescription, end up in the hospital, and get yelled at when you come back. read more
