This review is for the pharmacy specifically. I have had so many times where at different pharmacies the medication that I am on is either: not available, or a generic brand is offered. However, I would come check here, and they would always figure out a way to get the right medication for me. Every pharmacist that I've interacted with has been cordial, understanding, and so helpful! I had a prescription put in around noon today. At around 330pm I go to pick up the prescription after receiving the notification that they were ready. At the drive-thru, they gave me two of the prescriptions then told me I need to get out of line and come back later, while they filled the third. When I asked why I needed to get out of line while it's my turn to be served, a male pharmacist told me he was calling his manager and the police if I don't get out of line. Again, I asked why they wouldn't service me as it was my turn. He again, threatened to call the police. He also states that the prescription was controlled, so he needed to do all kinds of steps and procedures in order to fill it. But it had already been hours, and I also showed him that Id been notified they were ready. When I asked why we cant just wait for the prescription, as it was my turn to be serviced, he again threatened to call the police. So, as I pull off, I receive another notification that my prescriptions are ready, meaning it was ready when I pulled up the first time. So be advised, this location is HOSTILE. THEY WILL REFUSE TO SERVICE YOU WHEN ITS YOUR TURN AND WILL THREATEN TO CALL THE POLICE ON YOU, for picking up your meds when notified and waiting in line in the drive-thru. Instead of just finding your prescription, or filling the one you're there to get (if that is the case), they will THREATEN YOU!! read more

Zero stars. This is for the pharmacy portion of the store. Walked in for a vaccination, but apparently we have to make an appointment. Ok fine, no problem...made an appointment for the same day at 3:40 pm. Came back 10 minutes before to check in through their QR code. Didn't get called to the counter until 4 PM. Customer service skills were abysmal with every tech I encountered. I was told to take a seat again and there was no communication whatsoever for over an hour. At this point, it's 5 PM and I'm just watching the interaction of the pick up line and techs. 10 minutes where they didn't address anyone in the line.. looks like they are backed up. I get fed up because what is the point of an appointment if the actual appointment doesn't happen until over an hour after?? It wasn't until I got up and left that I got a text to fill out paperwork SMH. I left to go to Costco pharmacy, where the entire process from check in to the shot took less than 10 minutes, including finding parking and using the bathroom. I called this store to ask if they had a certain product in stock due to checking online first and their store location said it is available. I spoke with two females. The first female sounded southern. I asked her to check to see if this certain item was available and she immediately told me they did not have it. As I was trying to explain to her that the website said it is available she Continually cut me off saying "we don't have it, we don't have it". I was put on hold and spoke to a different female and as soon as the call was picked up from hold she also says (with waaaaaaay more attitude than the first female) "we don't have it". I explained to her that their website states it is at their store she proceeds to tell me that she was told by her manager to tell me they don't have that item in stock. So I asked her why would their website list that product available at their location if it is not available? She proceeds to speak in a more disrespectful tone saying she knows nothing and insisted that they don't have the product listed on their website to their store. I have NEVER had issues with a store before until today. This is the ONLY STORE with the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! I would NEVER recommend this store to anyone because of those two females. If you have a job that is in customer service, you should want to be helpful and not rude like how those two females spoke to me. I am also in customer service and could not believe how those two just had no care to their potential customers. I also called and filed a complaint on that store. I think those two females need to be retrained on customer service. Or maybe this location doesn't care at all. They already have an extremely low rating. If I was on Walgreens corporate team, I would look into hiring a whole new staff. Online presence for companies is a big deal nowadays. And this is not a good look for you, Walgreens. I have really severe asthma and an inhaler i needed was out of stock, no biggie, i have a different inhaler, that's less effective. Was told i would be informed when the stronger one would be restocked, and to no surprise at all nobody called me or informed me, and then said my insurance wasn't working when it covers all of my needs every single time. And would you look at that, my insurance covers absolutely everything when i send my prescription to a different walgreens location. read more

Before I decide to write a bad Yelp review, I normally give places 2-3 tries to do correct their mistakes before I write a bad review. We'll this is more than 3 times and and here is my review. They are so unorganized and nothing in their computer system is up to date. I've been coming to this pharmacy for 2 years now and each time I make a refill they tell me they will have it ready for me and text me to let me know it's ready. Then I don't hear anything from them for days... by this time I'm out of the medication that I need. When I go in and pick up they have no reclamation of any order put in. If they do have any record of any medications it wasn't the medication I picked up the last time I was here... it is from years back with a different dosage. Although I was just there 3 months ago picking up my up to date medication with the correct dosage ... their computer says different. Makes no sense. Although this pharmacy is close to my residence, I'd rather drive further to a CVS or other pharmacy than to return to this location. Thumbs down for this place. Convenience or not, this pharmacy sucks poop! Hopefully in the future they will do a better job updating their system with the correct medication/dosage and information so other people can get the correct medication they need. Review for the pharmacy. They gave the wrong medication despite the fact I specifically told the medication that was prescribed . I spoke to several people in the pharmacy in the morning at 10 am , 10:30am, 1 pm, 3:30 pm, 5:00pm until the afternoon for a specific medication. They said it will be ready at 7:30 pm . I asked my son to pick it up and they gave him the wrong medication. I was clear in telling them what medication I needed that was prescribed by the physician. The main reason I give it a 2 star is that it is clean and presentable, and the ladies are personable however... I'm so late on my prescriptions because they cave been called in twice and still I go to pick them up because I get no call saying they are ready.. NEVER had this problem before but this is where my insurance approved.. currently sitting here waiting close to an hour I even went to Vallarta and picked up a few things .. On the other hand; I was a bit impatient stopped to think .. it is a much smaller pharmacy with a big load!! They are always busy and even the pharmacist apologized for the long wait! Okay, let me just say: I hate this Walgreens. This location is set up in the worst place with the worst parking to include the worst customer service. I went in on a Wednesday at about 4:30pm to pick up a FedEx package. They had a sign on the counter that said "If you need assistance, let the cashier know". So, I stood in line to let the cashier know that I needed assistance. She said she would call someone. Long story short, I stood at the counter for another 10-12 minutes waiting for someone to show up so I could collect my package. In all, I was in the store (with no line at the photo lab) to collect one package for over 20 minutes. Terrible. However, my husband and I do utilize this location to get our annual flu shots and don't typically have too many issues with that. The pharmacy is generally pretty slow and the employees are a mixed bag, but the doctor administering the vaccination is usually friendly enough. read more

I have tried multiple times to get my prescription at this pharmacy since October 11th. They only filled one out of the two prescriptions I need to be taking every month. The Pharmacy needed to get my PPO insurance authorization. I'm still in need of my Rx, utterly a waste of time and energy. We decided to call today prior to driving there. We were on hold for nearly an hour. The wait was like watching grass grow. So we I called from our other phone and spoke with a store personnel. Carolina was very courteous and apologetic for the Pharmacy closing so early. She said they are only open from 8am to 4 - '4:30PM. Due to being understaffed. As far as we know, this was their excuse back on Oct 11th. Notice screenshots exposing their hours posted and my call as we waited and waited on hold. Their recording states "Please hold as we are attending other callers. You have 3 callers ahead of you. Trickling it down to , there is 1 caller ahead of you." It is my belief, that this Store #7869, does not care to respect its patrons, in fact, I see discrimination. This Walgreen's is located on the corner of Euclid & Plaza, at 885 Euclid Ave National City, CA. in a neighborhood occupied primarily by Hispanics, Black's and Philippinos. I am most certain, the Walgreen's in Coronado, or Rancho San Diego, would not act so dismissively towards their patrons. How is it even feasible to believe that Walgreens cannot find any suitable candidate on Indeed, Monster.com, etc. At the very least, leave a recorded message stating that the pharmacy is STILL UNDERSTAFFED and closing almost 5 hours early. I came here to get some otc medication and also took a pint of ice cream so I can use my coupon. Coupon says $7 off on any $20+ purchase.. the medication I got is about $14 and ice cream is about 6.99. The total amount is $21+ but the lady said my coupon wouldn't go thru because it needs to be more than $20 minus tax. I complied by getting a small pack of gum and so that made it $23.65. I paid and didn't get any receipt because I get that thru email. I found out that I was charged the total $23.65 so the Latina cashier lady didn't use my coupon but took it from me. Had a bit of a customer service hiccup but it was resolved well. Went here to pick up some laundry pods they didn't have in stock at my Walgreens store. Seems simple enough, as the web site shows you which Walgreens locations have them in stock. Great! Except... the web site is wrong. According to the Walgreens manager, this occasionally happens. Well, super frustrating for me as I drove to this location just for that item and nothing else. He offered to call the other stores for me to confirm who had it in stock, but I was frustrated and just told him I'd go get it at a Target or CVS. But then I had a thought... would he be willing to price match a different brand than the one that was on sale? He was! This is called good customer service, and this is what gets you a good Yelp review. This Walgreens location is at the corner of healthy and happy near my house. And it's actually my go-to Pharmacy because it is just walking distance from my house but the customer service is hit-or-miss here. I usually pick up my son's prescription's allergy (Epipen) on their drive-thru service because waiting inside is Boo! slowlyPoo! But I'm glad you can refill prescription via calling their automated service. One more thing I noticed is that they're too overpriced, but I guess the price is for the convenience right ? So so whatever!!! Anyways, I like the drugstore beauty brand like L'oreal. Love the Lippies! Smells good like Lancome brand. Did ya know that L'Oreal owns: Maybelline New York, Garnier, and Lancôme, etc? Good to know. And Urban decay ! Wow !!! Well, I like to mix make up brands and I believe in saving money whenever possible (but of course I still love my high ends Chanel and Dior Lippies). Overall, Walgreens is one of my one-stop locations where I can pick up medicine, snacks, candies, toiletries, greeting cards, drug store cosmetics and other groceries if I don't have time to go to big groceries store. They're located in Euclid in the heart of National city but pharmacy hours only til 9pm only and they're pretty busy. But the store opens 24 hours. I like Walgreens than CVS. I was on hold for 45 mins last week to check my mon's prescription, someone picked up the phone and put me again on hold, they did it three times, I ended up hanging up. I was on hold again today and the automated machine stated that there were 3 people ahead of me and I have been on hold of 30 minutes and it kept saying that there are STILL 3 callers ahead of me. Aren't they helping others? The numbers of callers were not going down. What a joke! They have to hire more people- their customer service is bad! Flu shots and vaccines needs to be separated, people who are here to drop off/pick up meds needs to be taken care of first. So unorganized, its ridiculous. I've been on hold for over two hours through multiple phone calls. When I get to the front of the line they hang up on me EVERY TIME. I've yet to speak to a person. I've been calling from two phones for the entire two hours, currently still on hold. It's beyond ridiculous!
