This CVS Pharmacy Store has a great selection of affordable prices on their Vitamins, Supplements and on various other brand name products that is in stock in their different departments. I used my medical insurance card called ASTIVA a few days ago when I purchased 2 boxes of the Nature Valley Peanut Butter Biscuits. The regular price was $5.39 but this product was on sale for $2.99 each. I bought these 2 boxes because one of my favorite snacks is Peanut Butter Cookies. These Nature Valley Peanut Butter Biscuits give me quick energy when I am doing my walking around my neighborhood in a frequent basis. I have done my shopping here at this CVS Pharmacy Store location in the Lemon Grove area several times because I have always received excellent customer service from Claire, Diego, Rosa, and Margaret. These 4 cashiers have always been very helpful to me in recommendations a specific product that I needed to purchase for a medical reason. read more

Terrrrrible service! I place my photo order at 9:55a and the receipt said pick up ready at 10:48a. I'm running around doing errands and came to this cvs to pick up my photos. They were not ready and the white woman there who supposedly is a manger was very rude and obnoxious. I waited for an hour because she sent her employee to lunch! Who does that!! Very incompetent person and I hope she gets fired!!! She's the kind of person that wants to be right and I can't stand shitty people like her. Not a good person! read more

If I can give a negative 0 I would! Let me start with this pharmacy is a piece of work. Pointless waste of time to go and get your prescriptions here when they overcharge and also bill you for insurance and also you saying your insurance does not cover. I waited on hold 20 minutes on the line all to have to drive down to the cvs and everyone doing not a damn thing! It's so slow in the afternoon. They have two works standing in the front doing nothing helping each other. The manager who claims to be "Maria" says she is manager but did not have any badge on to explain her position. I asked got for policy for filling medication and she said she couldn't show me that it's confidential. The ladies are talking back to me ask I'm letting them know I have them on recording not doing a damn thing and the phone line not ringing as if they put it on silent. I called at 2pm to get this filled and then when I had to call back to check status they said it's filled and then tells me some ridiculous price for 3 medicines one including ibuprofen. I ended up wanting to switch due to price poor customer service and everything else along with it & they made it so difficult for a customer to get there medicine. I also told the lady me having to come down here sick and with kidney pain if I have go ER I'll sure for malpractice of playing games with a prescriptions and then they said they faxed it knowing there fax does not work. Huge waste of time, effort, no apology. The store is dirty, unorganized and so pathetic of there "cvs" policies. When you work for a company you hold there values & they can't handle that there and said "oh we try out best". The middle Eastern lady should not hold a job with such a title to be treating patients like that period. When will people learn to treat people with respect. If it was your family you'd care but since it's not I'm irrelevant to you. Go find another job if your don't like working and actually helping people. The freezers also have been out for months and months on end.no repair and probably have not even reported it to corporate. Just gonna review the Rx. I'll assume the rest of the merch and snacks are available all around town. Tonight's visit didn't seem any more unusual. The line for dropping off prescriptions wasn't awful. I was behind one other person in line. Unfortunately, the guy flipping his lid at the counter went a bit overboard. It doesn't help if one of the pharmacists is yelling back some passive aggressive remark. Honestly, I just walked up on this scene and considered leaving, but I didn't want to miss the end of this episode. Anti-climactic. Another store associate did a fine job at defusing the situation. He gathered his composure and apologized, but apparently there was some communication disconnect between the doctor's office and the pharmacy, compounded with some insurance coverage issues. Regardless, the CVS employee showed a lapse of customer service with her last comment. The line for picking up prescriptions was awful. 5 people in front of me and at least 1 person breathing on my neck and I don't know how many other people behind me. I was fixated with playing Trivia Crack and intermittently shuffling forward. At least 2 bailed out. Yay for the rest of us. The wait time is only 15 minutes, but seemed much longer. When it was my turn in line, the pharmacist, a third employee, was pleasant and helpful. He was able to locate the meds in their massive pile. A lot of people haven't picked up their meds. The amount of unclaimed bags is begging for a hoarders intervention. Like other to-do tasks, It's less stressful to do errands during off-peak hours. read more

My doctor called in the prescription & CVS notified that it was ready for pickup before I even left my doctors office. I have been going to this pharmacy for over a year and a half, and I just can't take it anymore. DANGEROUS HANDLING OF PRESCRIPTIONS This pharmacy was out of my medication and unable to fill my prescription for months. They just kept saying tommorow.... this is very dangerous behavior. Had they been honest that the supplier was having difficulty, I may have been able to see if my doctor could transfer my prescription elsewhere for the month, but no, they kept leading me on. NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE When I call, they take over an hour to answer (yes, I wait) AUTOMATED SYSTEM DOESNT WORK Instead of waiting an hour + to speak to someone I used their phone system to order refills. My refill never processed. I received a text that 1 prescription needed my doctor's approval. I waited almost 2 weeks for my other 2 prescriptions to be refilled. The automated system never processed them. So, I had to wait an hour and a half on the phone to speak with someone and tell them I needed a refill. She processed one prescription within 2 hours. (Luckily, since I had one pill left.) The second, they now have to order because they don't have any in stock... INCORRECT REFILL AMOUNT My prescription is for 90 day refills and they gave me a 30 day refill. My insurance doesn't cover 30 day refills. (They have done this multiple times, this last time they claimed its because I only had 30 days left on the refill, which doesn't make sense to me, but whatever) DONT RECEIVE DOCUMENTS They "never receive" the documents from my doctor. If this had been once with one doctor, sure, but this has happened multiple times with different doctors. I don't believe all of my doctors are incompetent, it's more likely that the one thing my doctors have in common, CVS, isn't doing something correct. read more

This CVS is always really bright and clean. I enjoy doing my shopping here. I just started couponing recently and I know that couponers have a pretty bad rep, but I try my best to not fall in the same category. I have to say that this is the friendliest and most helpful staff I've ever encountered. Shout out to Carol. She is an angel and the sweetest most patient cashier. Apparently they are either too cheap to hire enough people, or they have no clue about staggering breaks. I neede to pick up pain meds that were called in by the urgent care. There seems to always be a line at the pharmacy, so I know not to come here if I'm in a rush. Be careful when you're shopping here. This CVS is alright but because its next to Albertsons its not that busy. Like all locations its kind of expensive just for some regular items. What also hurts this location is that Walmart is around the corner. So why pay sky high prices when you can just go to Walmart? This made me have to come back to have my prescription transferred to another cvs, which took some time..... I'm upset because they brushed off Melinda's mistake like it was no big deal, even though I would have been done and at home if she had just told me from the beginning that all fridge items were out of stock. I called prior to picking up my prescription and was told there was an insurance issues. They wouldn't fix it over the phone. I came in and Kat helped me. They had me stand in one line. Then had me stand in another line. I had a copay and she asked if I still want the medication. She also told me that this location doesn't take manufacturers coupons. Ummmm yes that's why I'm here. She fixed the insurance issues then had me go back into the pick up line all over again. Mind you I had already waited. I had to get back in line behind 7 people. Poor customer service read more

I've had several issues getting prescriptions filled at this location. Mostly, through complete incompetence of the staff at the pharmacy. Recently, I've been getting more and more annoyed with this pharmacy, and have chosen to take my business elsewhere online to express scripts to avoid the headache this store has given me. I attempted to get prescriptions filled one for antibiotics to clear up an inner ear infection, and 2 other prescriptions. One prescription my Dr. wrote for 30 quantity and my insurance only approves it for 15. It's happened before so I explain this they talk to my insurance provider and the issue is solved rather quickly. Recently, though this pharmacy has chosen not to fill any of my other pending prescriptions because of this issue. I come in because I opted into CVS nightmarish prescription text messages because I'm getting texts that my prescriptions have been filled go to pick up, and they say that they have not. I show them their application that has sent me numerous reminders to pick up my prescriptions. Every-time they say they can fill them now, but it will take 30-45 mins. I explain I don't have that kind of time, go back from the pick-up window to the drop-off window re give all my information ask if their is anything else they need to from me to fill the prescription they say it will be fine. I choose to come back later because I have better things to do than wait 30 to 45 mins at a CVS for medicine. I get the new notification from the text message service come back in at my leisure to start the process all over again. Finally, after the 4th round of cat and mouse going back to this pharmacy and store. I ask to speak with the manager and she was an unapologetic, clueless, dolt. Just another reason brick and mortar stores are going out of business one by one. read more

There is always a line at the pharmacy and they take forever! They used to be horrible only having one register open at the pharmacy, but I've noticed lately that they will open another line more quickly. Getting through the line at the front is also horrible. Usually only one line open and it takes forever. I will pick up things in the store and then wait online at the pharmacy to pick up an RC to pay. If the line at the front has more than 2 people waiting, I'll leave and go someplace else. I really dislike going there at all! read more

This store is the absolute worst. I was kept on hold at the pharmacy for 45 minutes. I walked into the store with my cell phone in hand, still on hold, asked to see the manager and showed her on my phone how long I have waited for someone to answer. She started making excuses about having to wait on the people in line first. But get this...there was NO ONE IN LINE. Yesterday my 81 year old mother called the automatic refill line. It asked her when she wanted her refill ready. She told it 10:00am. She got there at 1:00pm and was told they were working on it and it would be another 40 minutes! My mom has just had a hip replacement and it's very hard for her to walk. It takes her 10 minutes just to get back to the back of the store. There is no excuse for this extremely poor service. We will never set foot in this store again. As someone stated before, I hope they go out of business. If I could have given zero stars, I would! read more

After finding a sale on Arizona drinks I was sad that they did not have the Green Tea. The employee immediately issued us a rain check and we came in to cash that in. They had the item in stock and there were no issues upon check out. The service was awesome and they stick by their word. I enjoyed my experience and would totally come back again! The manager even said that he would honor any Walgreen's coupons or double bucks in their store. He won me over! read more

GO TO RITEAID!! Riteaid is only a block down and 100% better service. Pharmacy here is the worst!! I have been shorted on my prescription twice now. Today I have waited on hold twice for 45 minutes each with no answer just holding til I hung up. Lines here are crazy ridiculous always 8-10 ppl in front of you! I'm a very patient person and not the kind to complain. I suck it up and move on tomorrow's another day..... but this place is just SAD! There is soo much more to go on but if this doesn't convince you go there for yourself and find out. You'll never go back. Fix your issues I honestly hope this location goes out of business. At this CVS the moment you walk through the doors someone behind the register shouts out a greeting. Then you are on your own to shop about the store. For the most part you never have to worry about someone working the floor to answer any questions or to point you in the right direction. You basically read the isle signs and find your way around the store which can be a good thing. Because you don't feel rushed or pushed into buying something you don't want or need. Once you here that greeting it's like you turn invisible because no one ever notices you again until you come up to the register to pay for your products. That's when you get attention. Awesome job greeting your customers but the experience could be made more welcoming and more profitable if there was a bit more customer service. read more

This review is of their pharmacy. I am so disappointed in them I would advise anyone to go elsewhere. I've been in a few times and not only do they "lose" people prescriptions but they are unorganized and incompetent about the inner-workings of the pharm/insurance business. Not to say I could do much better but seriously, that's their JOB. They can't spell anything right (last names, street addresses) so of course, if your last name is spelled wrong and they file it elsewhere, your prescription won't be there. We need our meds people! I got a coupon for 25% off non sale items. It did not work on non sale items. No one could explain it to me. I write online and they addressed one item telling me if i bought two, the second one would have been on sale? I bought one and it was not on sale, so honor your coupon, it's a non-sale item. Hope you straighten out your coupon issue before you go out of business. Regular prices are very high in this chain. I wouldn't shop there without a discount coupon or a sale. read more

I semi-frequent this CVS location and the staff is always courteous, however I recently had some pictures printed in the photo lab and the quality was less than stellar. It appears that they need to have their printers calibrated more often. I believe my $39 home photoprinter could have done a better job. However, you can't beat their price of 4x6 prints at $0.19... the 5x7 price seems a bit over-priced at more than 7 times the price of a 4x6 at $1.69. read more

Pharmacy - The pharmacists always seem busy & it feels like dropping off a scrip is a hassle for them. I only use the pharmacy because it's so close to my house. There's one really friendly lady, the rest of the pharmacy crew just seems aggravated & unfriendly. They all wear headsets to answer the phone & usually answer it while they're dealing with customers in person. Other than the customer service, my scrips have always been on time & correct. Store - The staff has always been friendly & I've always been able to find everything easily. The only problem I had was an awkward encounter with a cashier. I was buying a pregnancy test with my husband, & she asked me if I wanted to be pregnant. Very weird & uncomfortable... Other than that girl it's been fine. So, 3 stars. Every time I come here to get a prescription filled, that should be automatic & simple (prenatals) they are never ready, and I end up having to wait around. The pharmacist told me my insurance took it off automatic refill ? Liars, but they would make note of it, in their system to refill it automatically.
