4 stars for being a mini-grocery story -1 star for being over priced (by a small amount) as in, if CVS charges $5, you could probobly get the same item for $3.50 at a walmart, but you have to do a lot more walking, dealing with longer lines, and wal-mart craziness, so you are paying to make your life easier Every CVS I have ever been in, including this one, has been clean, the staff is polite and I can find what I need. Yes, they do charge more then other places, but considering they have both a pharmacy , they sell soap, shampoo, cold and dry food items, they do have variety atleast. Also, I used to have a job where I drove around a lot, and I would go into a CVS pharmacy (if one was close by) and stop to get a snack. They had a deal where, if you pay $75 once, then once a month, for 12 months, you get $10 for store credit. $120 of store credit, minus the $75 upfront, the $45 dollars you are "making" covers the fact that you are paying a bit more then a store with longer lines. Well played CVS. I have never had a problem with the pharmacy either. I have picked up prescriptions and gotten shots here. My review of the reviews Some people have complained about the service or they prescription was not ready. The medical industry is a serious business, if the pharmacy were to give out the wrong drug or the wrong dosage, it could kill someone, not to mention the law suit. So, be paitent with the pharmacy. I think nowadays, you can have your medicine mailed to you, no longer do you need to actually go to the pharmacy, unless you need to pick it up right away. read more

Do your research the products at cvs are higher then anywhere else for the same thing. Their return policy is not posted on receipt. When you realize you paid more turn double for the same item somewhere else you can't return it!! Save your money and ship somewhere else. read more

In September this year, 2018 I presented a prescription to the CVS pharmacy in Lemon Grove, CA where my script medications are filled and obtained from. I had a temporary insurance complication/gap and was getting the run-a-round, especially from one woman on the phone, who I found out from the store asst. manager, the woman on the phone, Sharon, was a fill-in for the day and actually rudely hanging up on me. After doing research myself into this matter online and going back to the pharmacy , I finally had the attention of the head pharmacist himself of the pharmacy. He took the initiative to follow up with the unusual process and reassure me that it was going through to Medicare and accepted. Matthew Potter, the head pharmacist was the only one at this Lemon Grove CVS pharmacy who really understood the urgency of the medication and the physical relief I was in grave need of. We are in the last week of November 2018 and since the confusion and poor service by another person in the pharmacy, Matt has been very attentive to making sure my medications are processed without any stress for me. He demonstrated the value of integrity toward customers with vital medication needs. Thank you, Matt, for stepping up to the plate at a critical time for me. Apparently they don't care that people need to speak to them, and just let the phone ring until they close and people hang up. I wouldn't recommend this pharmacy because one, they call you to tell you that your prescription is ready so you drive to the store to find out you have to wait another 20min to get your prescription. Burning in fever and body aches. Please get it together so that customers are not waiting. If we call ahead a time make sure that things ready like you state. read more

So I received a Sharper Image warming Foot Massager as a gift and it didn't work or at least there was no warming that I could tell. So I went to 2 different CVS stores and they wouldn't return it. I called the one in Lemon Grove and Luis said I could return it for store credit. When I got to the store after driving 30 minutes in the rain Luis told me that I could not return it after all. Then he lied and said that the person I spoke to the phone must have left already. When I said it was you that I spoke to he admitted it was and said that he said IF we carry it you can return it for store credit. Well after having been to 2 other CVS stores already I would have definitely asked if they carried the item before I drove over there in the rain. I was already thinking about all the things I needed to get which would have cost more than the item. The CVS website has lower pricing than what it has in the stores and they don't price match themselves. Very much a bait and switch mentality with this company. Went here today & the manager was so rude. I'm in this store every single week & was so disrespected. Perhaps having your products stocked fully will help alleviate confusion with your customers. I waited 45 minutes for a prescription. I had to switch to different lanes 3 times and then waited 15 minutes. They all knew what I looked like at that point. When the lady called me to the pharmacy when I was in the sitting area, I had to walk to where she was and then I was told to GO BACK TO THE PLACE I WAS BEFORE WHEN I WAS WAITING. They're rude, unorganized, and unprofessional. The people at the pharmacy have no idea what they're doing. They don't even deserve one store. Seriously do no bother with this place. Pharmacies are notorious for long lines, miss-directed precriptions and rude service. I believe it is the result of television hack drugs barkered like Dr. Dogoods Snake Oil in the past. We have never had a serious problem at the CVS in Lemon Grove, even with lines of three or four waiting for their orders. This pharmacy staff is completely incompetent. It's usually a long wait, which could be excusable, but they make errors often. It is so bad that my Dr. asked me to not use this location for fear they will make an error that will effect my health. I hate this place. Never had my medication ready when my doctor sent it on the auto system or so. When I drive to get me medication I will praying there is no huge line there, it's like dmv. So depressed I waited 20 minutes in line the other day for new meds then they told me no pharmacist on duty now come back after one hour. I am done with them. I just can't with this place anymore. I have asked several times, in person, for my prescriptions to be taken off of auto-refill and it hasn't happened. Yesterday I had a new time-sensitive Rx sent over from my doctor, and I didn't receive any notification that it was ready. I showed up to pick it up, and they had refilled a second Rx that I didn't ask for because of the auto-refill situation. All of this wouldn't have been nearly as frustrating if the staff communication wasn't so inconsistent, and the pharmacy staff helping me weren't so rude. CVS Lemon Grove was the only one near my home that had the medication I urgently needed in stock. They told me it would be ready in one hour; less than a half hour later the Pharmacist told me it was ready! Each person I talked with treated me with great skill and compassion. I will go this CVS from now on! read more

The young staff are ALWAYS in a bad mood. The young ladies have the worse attitudes. Be sure to check the expiration date of your goods!!! This store is full of old merchandise. There are several other drugstores within walking distance, I suggest you shop at those cleaner stores. read more

I recently transferred all my prescriptions elsewhere. There is usually a long line, the staff is not friendly or sympathetic. The last straw was being forced to make 3 trips to pick up medication when I was ill with bronchotis because they couldnt seem to get it filled. They often seem disorganized and poorly managed. They are excellent, however, about dogging you by phone to refill prescriptions even just a few days after you have filled it. read more

Horrible experience. I had a 2$ manufacture coupon for some cold medicine and was told I can't use it by the store manager . She didn't give me the time of day to even act like she cared. I explained I worked for CVS recently and I know the empowerment I had as a supervisor let alone a store manager. My old store manager would of chewed me out if I fought with a customer over 2$ I asked her if she could do a 2$ manual markdown because I get that coupons need to be sent in for credit and she refused that.... I took my business to Walgreens and they had the same cold medicine for 4$ cheaper and happily took the same coupon. This was my go to pharmacy never considered anywhere else until recently. The service has been subpar and the waits are unacceptable. I dropped of an rx on Wednesday came back on Friday and still had to wait for them to "just count it". So far I've been waiting more than 20 minutes. I,ve been using CVS drug stores all over san diego county for years and years....best drug stores around...always quick service at the pharmacy, never lost my prescription in years....maybe 1 time in the past 10 yrs. They also have a great selection of natural herbal meds available in their stores...seems to be a larger selection in some...I like the changer machines in the front of their stores...I like their photography shops...I like everything there is about CVS pharmacys. I wish there were a few more 24 hr CVS stores around. THe only 1 I know of is at the Mall on Broadway in Chula Vista. read more
