Blueberries out of the package dumped in the bottom of the bag

Instacart from Ralphs El Cajon what a joke first off I ordered a dozen mini blueberry muffins from the bakery they didn't have them so they substituted them with hostess chocolate cream filled ding dongs how the age does that work out then they put the 12 pack of beer on top of the cookies and the ding dongs and crush them I also ordered a pound of fresh blueberries they came open out of the package and all in the bottom of the plastic bag did get a refund for the cookies and the ding dongs I didn't order also the blueberries but come on now who the hell is shopping for this stuff

Great Price!

This is my local Ralph's store. I come here often because they always have milk and orange juice at a good price. They always seems to be one variety or another on sale. I also visit their meat department when they have good prices advertised. I recently bought USDA Choice Top Sirloin here for $2.99 lbs. I bought a couple of large pieces and cut them into 8 oz steaks and sealed them up and froze them for later. Today I went in for milk and found they had my non-fat for $1.88 for a half gallon. I also bought some Minute Maid OJ for $2.88 for a half gallon. The employees here are normally very nice and helpful. Milka does a body gooda!

Not cookies and cream filling

I like Ralph's selection of food . Cashiers are not very friendly here. Feel more like I'm a bother to them or they seem tired. I just want to say that the bakery here is horrible. I ordered a plain and simple cake since that is all they offer. I wanted a cookies and cream filling cake with green frosting. This is what I got in the photos. Mind u it was a birthday cake for kids and the birthday boy requested cookies in cream. Very disappointing coming from a bakery.

As far as grocery stores go this one is top of the line. It was clean, employees were friendly, the shelves were full or merchandise, and it had good lighting, a huge selection of grocery items, grab and go food sections and several registers ready to check you out. What I liked about Ralph's is when you purchase fish from the meat and seafood counter they will fry it for you for free and it's seasoned and fried very well.

Broccoli salad for dinner. 10/10 would definitely eat again!!

The first thing that I want to address is that their broccoli salad is amazing! I frequently get a size small, which always varies in price. Sometimes I get it for 4 or 5 bucks, sometimes 6. Other than that though, I found the other deli selections to be pretty bland. I remember I tried the southwestern chicken wrap and it did not really taste like anything. That was pretty disappointing. It was also expensive for a small wrap. What this place seems to lack the most of is good customer service. Every single time I go, I wait to order my food for nearly 15-20 minutes. They have a little bell that you're supposed to ring when you need assistance, but it seems to never catch any of the employees' attention. Some of them come across as pretty rude as well. That being said, I will still come back... I just hope they consider improving their customer service pretty soon.

Breaded wings not roasted as previously ordered.

I have never had such a bad experience at any Ralph's before. I really hate writing bad reviews, but when their customer service sucks and the staff is lost and unorganized... I need to voice and explain the situation. I had placed an online order yesterday for a large platter of Roasted Bone in Wings (Buffalo sauce on the side), for my sons pre-school open house the following day. Arrived at the Ralphs counter to pick up my order as previously arranged (3:30pm) and waited about 5 minutes before I was greeted and helped. I informed the staff at the counter about my pick up order, she stated she was finishing up my order she has just poured the sauce on the wings. I told her I had requested the sauce on the side, not on the top!! I told her that's fine, I will take the wings with the sauce, since I was in a hurry to get to my sons open house. Then the next 10mins her and her co-worker were trying to find the SKU for the wing party platter. They wanted to charge me $29.99 when my confirmation email had stated $24.99. I found out while wating, that they rarely have these types of orders and the person in the deli was new. The staff in deli really did not know what she was doing part of me was feeling sorry for her. Finally they found a SKU they can use to charge me, it stated $29.99. I was walked over to the register by the deli staff and one of the managers overheard me saying I'm only paying $24.99 not $29.99. Fine done deal $24.99 it is. I arrive at my sons school, and to my surprise the Roasted Bone In Wings were Breaded!!! Yeahhh I should of checked my order at the store, right??? But if you request Roasted that's what you expect??!! So not only did they poor the sauce over my wings, they gave me the wrong wings too. I've always loved Ralph's, but after this stunt....hmmmm. They really need to earn some brownie points to get me back as a customer. Total let down.

Came here after dinner to pick up some free items through my husband's application on his phone. We walk around and towards the front to the right of the store is fresh produce. So many groceries and food items were on sale. In the back near the restrooms, there was a clearance rack. Be careful because some of the food items are expired. This has happened to us before at another Ralph's location. They normally sell the breads two days before the expiration date so make sure you consume them before the date. I believe in this because food has a time limit of how long it should be out. It can make people sick. Anyway, the store was clean and organized. It was easy to navigate through the store. Plenty of parking in front of Ralph's. I still give this location four stars because it's a great place to get deals and it's clean. Lots of items were on sale which is a good sign.

I hadn't expected to be swooned before breakfast, but I was. It started with a glance at the deli counter. Behind the glass counter you can see the glistening meats turn slowly on the spits. I knew it was early, but I asked for a chicken shawarma wrap. "Five minutes," the man replied. And just like that, he was gone. After five minutes a woman appeared in his place, calm and unreadable. She told me she couldn't make a shawarma, but she could make me - and then she said something in her native language and made a motion with her hands. These were words I didn't recognize. Not even close. "I'm sorry, what?" I asked. She repeated it, as if I didn't hear her. I listened again, and I still didn't understand. There was a pause between us, but I was completely captivated. She said, "It's a sandwich". I nodded and smiled. "yes, chicken, please." Then it began, she went to the baker, giving him instructions, he began shaping a fresh loaf just for me. I watched, transfixed, as the dough came to life in his hands before disappearing into the heat of their homemade tandoor oven. Moments later, it emerged, warm, blistered, and perfect. She was there to catch it, like it belonged to her all along. She took it and split it open, gently, then added the chicken carved straight from the spit, as it was still turning. On to fresh cucumbers, crisp onions, a generous smear of garlic and yogurt, a dusting of spices. Nothing was careless but she was mechanical and every movement deliberate. As I watched, I know that she made the sandwich with a quiet care and with her hands as if every step mattered. When she finally pressed the bread together and wrapped it, there was intention in it. That was something made just for me. I didn't see any like it written on the menu. I took it in my hands. It was still warm. I could smell it and decided I wasn't going to wait long before first bite. Sitting at a table outside a coffee shop, the first bite was everything at once, juicy meat, crisp veggies, rich yogurt. The warm bread pocketed with the great flavors unfolded in a way that felt balanced and complete and brought the whole experience alive. It filled me in a way I hadn't expected, like a fleeting connection that somehow lingers longer than it should. The whole experience felt almost intimate, because she had taken it upon herself to make it truly satisfying. Each bite was unconscionably shaped with thought and attention. While it wasn't love, it was more like a morning fling. Definitely one I didn't plan and the kind you don't question. But it's the kind that leaves you full, a little dazed, and already wondering if you'll ever find your way back to something so satisfying. That particular store may seem a bit offsetting for some. It might be its location. Or the decor. It is shaped more by culture than design trends. There is a lived-in charm to it where authenticity matter more than polish, and every corner feels like a small piece of home. The workers communicate in generous, full voices of their native language in an open way. It's not an angry or offsetting way, but they are very open and at ease in their environment. I also really enjoyed the $9 a la carte lamb shank and the French Feta-style cheese if very rich and creamy. Both get thumbs up!
