Grocery Outlet in Lakeside is my go-to spot for shopping. They always have great deals, especially on snacks, produce, and name-brand items you wouldn't expect to find at a discount. I never know exactly what I'll come across, which actually makes it kind of fun. The employees are always kind and helpful, which makes the experience even better. It's clean, easy to navigate, and I can usually get everything I need without spending a fortune. Definitely my main place to shop. read more

A few helpful to knows about this store: 1. It is very well-maintained, clean and items are organized. 2. Love the variety of products carried. I especially appreciate all the Organic products available at really reasonable prices. 3. They mark down all expiring items 50% a day or two before expiration. People have been kind at and friendly at check-out. There will be lines but they do respond fairly quickly when there is a need for additional clerk for check-out. read more

This place is great! Friendly employees, very helpful! You can't find everything here but I go here before other stops! You find great deals here. I found a marinade I used to buy for 9.99 for 1.99 here. Good stuff you just have to look! I noticed some stuff was expired by a lot of months so I'm not sure if that's the reason for low prices? But there is definitely fresh stuff to look out for. The reason for the 3 stars is no matter what time of day... there is never more than 1.5 cashiers. They have 1 cashier and will call an employee from the back.... occasionally.. if it gets busy. That's why it's 1.5 to me. If you're in a hurry... in and out. This is NOT the place. Anytime I come here... I feel bad because my cart is loaded and there's always a line behind me with people holding 2 items. But it's not my fault they only have 1 lane open! They definitely need to look into that. Or train employees to look out for lines. The guy who checked me out today was alright but had no idea what he was doing. A customer explained to him how the cash register worked. Maybe not a good idea for the business owner. read more

I love the prices at Grocery Outlet! This location is well run and organized. I really love the organic isle as it's full of healthy snack choices. The staff here is super friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that they often sell-out of the "Green and Clean" juice, which means I have to go to the El Cajon location to buy it. read more

Not to mention, the exceptional customer service, and the amount of money that I save now that this is literally right up the street from my house. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised when I visited The Grocery Outlet. Many Outlet or discounted type grocery stores have a selection of items that are not name brand and are close to expiring, so this is definitely what I was expecting. But this is not the case at all! They have a wide selection of name brand items that are good quality. The staff here is extremely helpful and friendly. It was so refreshing to walk in and get a smile from literally every single employee throughout the store, this is a stark difference from any other grocery store in the area. They also stand out to me with their speedy checkout lines. The cashiers make friendly conversation while powering through and making the lines go very fast. I live in the area and before Grocery Outlet was here, there was a pretty significant transient problem in the parking lot. Grocery Outlet has a standing security guard in the parking lot to help with this issue and the transient population is essentially gone in this area now. I highly recommend this Grocery Outlet and will definitely do a lot of my shopping here! read more

I have been urgently patiently waiting for another grocery store in lakeside. Have been in twice this week! My favorite is the WINE SELECTION! And great wine prices. I also see all of the little healthy options available which is very nice because we do not have health stores in lakeside. They may not have a variety of one item like a Albertsons but they offer other items that are worth going in. read more

the store is ok..the produce is a little on the costly side...i can do better at smart and final.their cheese section is fairly good..also...the parking is sketchy...i had problems with being approached by teens trying to pull stuff on me...that was a little un nerving...also had some kid following me around in the store trying to help me that really bugged me...you have to check dates on stuff a lot of it is very close to the date of expiration...interesting store but not my main one to shop for groceries...i feel like that is probably the case with most people. the female cashiers are very nice and friendly the young males are horrible...i try to avoid them if possible...to much attitude coming from them...i think it is a mistake to have them at the check out...all in all...not making a great effort to shop there. but its ok if I am in the area and need something to eat fast and have nothing at home..i rather shop else if i can. read more
