Overpriced and understocked. Be careful with your cc transactions too. They charge .50 just to use your card if you don't have cash. Like, who does that anymore??? When I told them I wanted to buy something else to reach the $5 threshold so I don't get charged the service they didn't actually do it. They just charged me the .50 twice. I'm surprised, I thought it was just a typical liquor store with a small selection. They are pretty big and even have a decent amount of produce, canned food, ect. I read that they have high prices from other reviews but the prices seemed completely normal. I even go specifically here for butane for my little grill because it is $4.99 at target and big 5, $3.99 at Walmart, but I've gotten it for $2.99 here. read more

I've started to stop by here pretty regularly, due to it being close to my girlfriend's place, and I'm never disappointed. They have a very wide selection of beverages, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic, as well as a small variety of fresh produce, frozen meals, and snacks. It'll get busy on occasion, but it's a big enough place for it to not feel entirely suffocating. All of the employees I've encountered thus far are friendly and courteous. They also carry Reikorderleg (I know I butchered the spelling, let me have this) ciders which are my favorite. The passionfruit one is to die for. read more

Goodbye Washington Market. I am so sad. Sam and his crew had the best little store in East County. I would pick up my foods staples at a chain grocery store but always went to Washington Market for their reasonably priced, quality meats. Well, the store has been sold, and in the last few months I've seen the selection and customer service diminish to sub standards .First, aisles of items began to disappear. Yesterday, I went in there and the whole meat counter was gone. The butcher is the nicest guy. I hope someone recognizes his talents and he's able to realize new employment. Now the store seems a bit shady. Without product, the store has to be sustained by some other revenue source. I'm going to miss them. read more

I have a few markets around where i live but this one just has everything that i need. meat, produce, beer, grocery, and most of all western union.
