The produce and meat sections remind me more of Whole Foods than a Vons or Albertsons.

Solid food but really weird pricing. Was told at the counter from a nice woman that gelato was 6.99…read morefor a scoop but 9.99 for 2. So I got 2 scoops and when rung up at the counter, I was told it was 13.98. Of course I paid it because I had already gotten it and didn't want to be rude. Blah. That and had to wait 20 mins to park in this establishment because they were towing a Tesla in the lot. Left such a sour taste in my mouth. Edit: You can look for my car in the parking lot circling around 10-15 minutes working around the tow truck, even waiting in the lot and then moving as other cars were trying to navigate their way around the lot. The food here is good that it was worth it in my eyes even with this inconvenience. I drive all the way from East county to come here because there aren't other spots like this. Regarding the incident, I can easily provide Life360 map pictures to show my drive, route and duration if you would like actual proof. I was told that the 2 scoops would be 9.99 by the woman. The single scoops are 6.99. I'm aware of this. I asked that the 2 scoops be in 2 separate cups so that my friend and I can share - not that I got 2 separate single servings. Then I got rung up at 13.98 in the front by the cashier. But you know what.. Good to know that this is how you respond to people as a business owner; it's actually so sad that you responded the way you did because instead of looking for clarification, you decided to say that I was not being honest.

For the many that remember the nights of protestors that had destroyed the many areas of San Diego…read moreand the many areas of the East County leaving many buildings that were destroyed from the violence that took place here in many areas. One of the strongest stores that was destroyed so badly, and the front area of the store was destroyed yet the many months that people waited the city of Lamesa, and the University Ave helped with the many repairs to bring the Spring Street Village back to the way it was before. The Lamesa Village is one of the older parts of the city of Lamesa and the Lamesa Blvd is the main rod that takes you through the city past the many restaurants to where you can go to church and go shopping at Sprouts. Vons is one store that when you walk in the store and the many departments that you see tight when you come in the front door past the Starbucks Coffee. When I had arrived at Lamesa Village it was by way of the trolley and the short walk from the Lamesa Blvd Transit Center with the short walk there are many buses close by the Vons Store. With the large parking areas out front and the many stores and with a Panda Express close by you have so many choices with Vons has some of the best sandwiches and soups you can choose from the large Delhi they have great cold cuts with some of the best salads. Making dinner I was going to Vons for the large tomatoes and the red onions and the large containers of sour creme which was on sale at the store. Vons has been one store for when the store first opened it was the one store that had created such a great family with the beast place to come and the interior was one that had the bit of the taste of a large barn and the structure was one big store. For the many shoppers that come to the Vons store you have one of the best times with the Starbucks Coffee you can have a Frappuccino and still have the best time of shopping. The customer service is one of the best and yet with some times you may have to gap them on the shoulder and ask directions. For the many food stores that are here in San Diego Vons is one that was purchased by Albertson's I have shopped at also and I have found that Vons Lamesa Village Spring Street has the great atmosphere. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer, the many years that Vons has had and the many years with the City of Lamesa the store has been one that has battled through the many difficulties and has risen from the many conflicts. Vons has been one of the best providing the many freshest products with one of the greatest bakeries that keeps people coming back for more.

This is exclusively to the curbside pick up at the La Mesa Vons. I would give zero stars if I could…read moreto be honest. I tried the curbside pickup for the first time a few weeks ago and spent 20min in the parking lot before I gave up and went inside. I talked to the very friendly self checkout cashier who was very helpful and made it understood that this happens a lot. She guided me to the area where they hold the pick up orders where a young man in charge seemed to be unaware of my waiting in the parking lot and explained that the app sometimes has issues. He brought my produce out and suggested that I call the number on the signs next time as to not repeat this issue in the future. I understand that technology sucks at times and didn't hold it against him. I tried the curbside feature again today. Checked in on the app, waited 5min and called the number as previously suggested. Talked to someone who said they'd be out shortly, 15min went by. Called 3 times with no one picking up. Finally went into the store, to the area where they hold pick up orders to see what the issue was and I could hear the phone ringing from my own call with no one in sight. Grabbed my own order (coulda taken some else's as well apparently) and walked out the door after half an hour from me first getting there. Woulda been much faster to do my own shopping. -10/10 do NOT recommend curbside pick up at this particular vons but feel free to do other shopping there including the flower department which I frequent. It takes a LOT for me to leave a negative review but if this vons doesn't have the staff to provide curbside pickup then simply don't offer it, it's that easy.

Almost immediately, a female employee came over and accused me of cutting the line, saying there were others ahead of me. I explained that I believed the group in front of me was all together, but that if I was mistaken, they could go first. She then had me walk back over so she could ask the group--who confirmed they were all together. Despite that, the employee then told another worker that they could go next instead of me. I clarified that I had been waiting in line and was directly behind the group and had not cut in line. The other employee told me that it was ok and I could use the register. The entire situation was embarrassing and unnecessary. I had done nothing wrong as I was waiting in line and was the next person, yet was publicly called out and treated rudely in front of other customers. It left a very negative impression, and I hope management takes steps to better train staff on professionalism and communication.

Trader Joe's - This coffee is outstanding on its own & with creamer! I took it up a notch and added the vanilla sugar sprinkle on top! Cheers!

The gentleman at the cash register told me he puts them on his eggs and everything he could possibly think of. I put it on a little chicken slider with some buffalo and ranch, and bacon and it did not disappoint with the jalapeño chips!!!! I was driving into the parking and saw at the bottom of a man's cart he had some beer called Flat Tire. I've watched the Bosch series on Amazon Prime (thanks to Miss Britt!!!!) and he would always order that beer. The gentleman at the register was so impressed with my purchase and he stated it's one of his favorite, he loves it super cold, it's hard to find because of all the other craft beers out there, but when you do it's a great buy. I told him I'm not really a beer drinker but because I saw Bosch drinking it I just had to try. He said it won't disappoint ;) The store has so many seasonal things in anything chocolate peanut butter I'm definitely buying. The store has basically opened up to high near full capacity. They'll know longer issue you your shopping cart you can grab it and wipe it down yourself. You can also bring in your reusable bags now. It sounded good but we also weren't really feeling like going "out" and something that could be delivered or that we could pick up seemed like the better play. Believe me, I know that those of you who don't know Valley Farm will likely say "really?" when I detail that this sleepy little Spring Valley market kicks out poke as good as anywhere else in SD, but it's true. It's a sleeper of a choice but the quality and price will make you a fan, trust me.

Valley Farms Market is one of San Diego's hidden gems. From the moment you walk in, you can feel…read morethe difference. The store is clean, beautifully organized, and filled with high-quality products you don't always find at larger chain grocery stores. What I love most is their fresh selection, especially the produce, specialty items, and unique gourmet finds. Everything looks vibrant and carefully displayed. You can tell they take pride in what they offer. They also have a full butcher shop with everything you could desire. The selection is impressive, and it's wonderful knowing you can get high-quality cuts prepared fresh right there in the store. It adds such a personalized, old-fashioned market feel that you just don't see everywhere anymore. Another favorite of mine is their fresh-pressed cold juice blends, which I absolutely love. They taste incredibly fresh, and you can truly tell the difference in quality. It's such a treat to grab one while shopping. The staff has always been friendly, helpful, and welcoming. It truly feels like a neighborhood market where customer service still matters. Whether I am picking up everyday essentials or something special for a gathering, I know I will find something wonderful here. If you appreciate quality, variety, and a pleasant shopping experience, Valley Farms Market is definitely worth a visit. I always leave happy!
