As a loyal Red Bull drinker I stopped in for a 12oz but after being charged $6.58 for just one 12 oz and asking the cashier if there was some kind of mistake she said nope that's the price. I went in there for a quick snack, and the first thing I noticed was the cashier talking but no one was around.. that was odd. I found what I wanted and walked up to the register and he's still talking, but again no one in the store besides me. Then I see his glasses, they have a red-light on them, he's wearing the Meta glasses from RayBan and recording everything while he's working. Totally forgot cell phone charger and needed one bad . Sis said go to any grocery store and buy one for like $5. Well closest market around here is traders that I could see and they don't carry . Came in here to buy a lottery ticket for an out of state friend. Apparently there's no lottery sales after 10 p.m. I asked if that was a rule for this 7-Eleven or a city-wide rule. This place is heaven for junk food cravin' caffeine deprived people, such as myself! For the most part his 7-Eleven is always orderly and clean looking not like others I've been to. I've been going to this 7-Eleven for 7 years now and they've always had the same staff. Consistency is always good. This place is a convenience store and I purely love it for it's convenience. Don't care much for the jacked up prices on their SF red bulls but that's ok. When I'm in the need, I need it now, regardless of the price! Something this store has always suckered me in for is their french vanilla cappuccino. WTF!!! I know it's a bunch of powdery crap and water but when it comes out of that machine nice and stifling hot it makes my heart melt for its yummy goodness. Lol, I'd die if this place didn't exist, I eat about 90% of my non-restaurant food from here and this location has it all. Diet Lipton Sodas and Teas, Protein Brownies, the cheap 89¢ Almonds and Donut specials everyday. Also they generally have most of the coffee pots full or close to full, never been here when they didn't have some sort of coffee I wanted. Oh yeah and since it's a 7-11 they are open 24 hours a day. I think this is the one right next to a Starbuck's and across from SDSU right? If so, they have the BEST coffee bar! I frequent this place before work because I'm too lazy to brew my own coffee. I get an XL coffee for $2.00 even. They have a ton of sugar free syrups here and a variety of creamers. I also pass the one in Pacific Beach by where I live, but their coffee bar sucks. -1 because in the mornings they usually only have 1 worker and there frequently is a line. read more

Went in to buy a lighter for a candle and they only had the large ones. When I went to pay the employee asked for my ID and then told me that he couldn't sell it to me. I asked how old you have to be to buy a lighter and he said 19. I told him that I'm 20 and my ID clearly shows that. He said to me "you're not 20" after I showed him my real and valid California ID that I recently got renewed. I told him yes I'm 20 and that's my real ID. He said "I know it's your real ID but you're not 20." How could I not be 20 if my ID says I am? Also while I was waiting in line the same employee didn't card another customer for buying alcohol because he had "forgotten" his ID even though he looked like he could've been under 21. read more

My van broke down there while transporting 4 rescue dogs I had adopted, along with my other 2 dogs. My radiator hose had come off and my car was overheating. It was 90+ degrees and climbing and I was terrified the dogs would become dangerously hot. I could not find my cell phone and went in and begged the workers, inc. manager and a lady who I think was problaby the asst. manager. I told them I desperately needed help. I needed a call to AAA because my van was broken down and I was transporting 6 dogs across country. I feared they were endanger if I did not get help promptly. The lady at the counter just sat and said she had just put drops in her eyes. The people behind the counter totally ignored my pleases for help, with just contacting AAA for me or letting me borrow a phone. I had begged other people around to please help me and everyone turned a blind eye on my dangerous situation. The manager did tell others he would take care of the problem, which later meant getting rid of me. He treated me like trash he was going to get off his sidewalk. I did find 2 compassionate youngersters to help me get the dogs out of the superheart car and into the shade. The manager came out and said an emergency service needed to be called to get us out of there. I had already begged him to help me contact AAA, there was no need for a disposal/ trash removal service. I have the best membership AAA carries and the manager did nothing to help me get them to come help us. He treated us like low life trash. I have lived in San Diego for more than 33 years. I am a retired Clinical Laboratory Scientist from the VA Hospital in La Jolla. I have devoted endless hours of volunteer work with saving the lives of animals bother locally and internationally. I have been a very active worker within the Sierra Club and Been a team leader with Project Wildlife for many years. I AM NOT TRASH, yet your employees treated me like it. With my tremendous amount of regular work and volunteer work, I have interacted with thousands of wonderful people over the years and not one person has ever treated me like the dirt your employees did this morning. I am not bragging about the things I have done. I merely bring this to your attention to let you know that my friends and my family were beyond disgusted with the treament I recevied at your facility today. I thought it was a place where I could be helped during an emergency and instread, I was treated like trash they were anxious to dispose of. Even if they did not want to help me, I could not believe they did not even off my dogs or me water or anything else when we were stranded and begging for help. Some of those dogs had just been adopted and I was transporting them across country. All of the people in those rescues are finding out how horribly myself their rescues were treated by your staff. The behavior in your place of business was the most dispicable I have ever seen in my life. It was beyond disgusting. The lives of a bunch of rescued dogs was at stake and your people did NOTHING!!! I have found most 7 Elevens to be wonderful. Never a bad experience until I went to the one at 5141 College Ave in San Diego. Two people in office. Both were very cold and rude. Neither were willing to help me during a serious emergency. I am a handicapped 62 year old female with a sprained ankle and injured vertebra in lower back whose vehicle had emergency problem while transporting rescue dogs to Kentucky. Woman and man refused to use my AAA Plus card to come and help us. I was getting weak and dizzy from the horrible heat and I needed help getting the 6 tiny dogs out of my vehicle before they died. I had everything I needed with my AAA plus card. I could be towed 200 miles for free. Tall, thin man who was probably was manager refused to help me and told people to call rescue people to have us removed. I was not a vagrant or person living out of my car. I was a transporter of homeless rescued chihuahuas taking them to their new home. Owner of 7 eleven treated me like love-life scum when I was doing work for both a local chihuahua rescue group and a national miniature rescue group. The manager would have let me and the dogs die. He refused to help us when we were desperate and begging for help. I have sent a letter to the 7 eleven's national headquarters to report the deplorable behavior by the the man and woman working in the office when I only begged to borrow a phone or have them call AAA and both refused to do so. This place is a zoo and or dump in the early hours of the morning . All counters are never whiped down , boxes in the isles , dirtiest floors , loud music playing , crazy homeless out side . I originally went to the laundromat next door but could not find parking due to 7-11 patrons parking where they are not supposed to be parking. Has all the good stuff for my daily needs. I particularly like the amazon locker inside. One thing I don't like (but I don't blame the business for) is the variety of strange characters that hang around the entrance and side harassing people for spare change or other things. This has got to be the WORST 7-11 in San Diego. Today I stopped by for a few cold coffees. I parked, was stopped by a few college students that had some questions for me (no, I'm not in college), and before I could close the trunk of my car and go in a man came out to yell at me because this parking is only for customers. He also called the Campus Police and Parking enforcement! I almost didn't even patronize the store after he yelled at me, but did anyways. Then, my bill was almost $2. More than it should have been so I asked why it jumped from $4 to $6. He said it was the CRV and if I don't like it he didn't know what to say. So I looked at my receipt and he had in fact charged me for someone else's item. He kept stating that the parking is only for customers and only for 10 minuets and that it's posted everywhere, which I didn't see time limits posted. I will never go back there. I used to come to this location every day before work to purchase a $3 drink. I never had a problem with the ladies that worked there. In fact they are really patient and kind. Then one day there was a tall man behind the counter, assuming he was the owner, he generally wears the same white long sleeve, and a district manager in the back. Firstly, the man made sexual comments with a customer about a woman who had just left purchasing some items, which is not right, especially in a college area. He should be fired for his unprofessionalism. Then when it was my turn, he rung up my drink and couldn't get my card to work. I can't stress enough how many times a week I'm in here, I spend at least $15-$20 a week, using the same card. Then the district manager comes from the back and tells me she runs ten stores and that I'll need to go to my bank and get a new card. I tell her that I never have problems with the ladies that usually work here and I'm a regular. She takes the can away from me and says that lady is sick today, sorry. In response to the rude gesture I tell her I'm never going to this location or any others, f*%# you, in a calm but urging way and walked out the door. The fact they didn't care or try to do anything about it is lazy and inconsiderate. I hope some will read this and at least think twice before coming here. There's a gas station next door that sells their things cheaper anyways. Wish I got their names. read more

I work in customer service r so I am very easy going and takes a lot for me to go out of my way and complain but this location I've repeatedly been ignored and when I got someone to ring me up they seemed annoyed and in a bad mood. My bf works next door so I tried to give it repeated second chances and it seems to be one main women cashier in the mornings who doesn't seem to like her job or people bothering her to do her job. She has more than once been carrying a box or product and doesn't care if I'm filling up my coffee or carrying got drinks etc. If I don't jump out of her way she is going to push her way through and not even pretend to notice how rude it is to be inconsiderate to paying customers that keep her having her job. They always seem to be out of lots of items or its empty or broke and it just stays that way. I got fed up and asked one morning if it could be refilled or what was going on and I get a cold answer that shows she clearly doesn't care and day whatever you see is what we have. Okay... rude I thought. I even went in again after this happening several times with different things. She is just plain rude. So when I drop my bf off at work or we get lunch or snacks instead of going right next door I will drive and make a trip just to at least get decent responses or just a smile. I get it machines break items are no available I can deal with it it's the rudeness I can't handle. Asking a simple question after I ask u how ur day is going and to make me feel like how dare I speak to you or bother you with your tone and your hateful looks. I'm good sorry u lost a customer and a good one at that I'll go blow double the amount than continue to give you my business. Word of advice loyal and regular customers will keep your bacon on your dinner table maybe try and smile or find a new job that doesn't involve you having to deal with people. I hope at least your the boss or the owner because if someone keeps you employed and pays you to be a employee that ignores her line of customers cause ur back is turned and doing god knows what of such importance on the counter. My boyfriend and I went to this 7/11 on a Friday night. We went in knowing what we wanted (beef jerky and Chex Mix), there was only one cashier and a long line, well next thing you know another cashier pulls up to the counter, some middle aged man with salt and pepper hair and glasses. Our entry to the store and the transaction took about 5-7 minutes. Once we got out of the store, we notice that our truck was boxed in by a minivan, We thought maybe that it was a costumer, so we waited, dozens of costumers came in and out, so we decided, maybe we just contacted the employees to see how they would handle the situation (maybe asking a patron to move their vehicle). When we approached the counter to describe which vehicle was boxing us in themiddle aged male employee jumped up with an unwanted, unprofessional, proud attitude to tell us it was him; he said it in the most proud, defying, he "didn't care on what we had to say about it" attitude.He continued to back his story up with that fact that we took too long in the store. We were pretty dissapointed, especially since where we parked there were no signs, no laws that said that we had a limited time to park, and that the fact that they were short handed on staff so maybe the transaction took longer then the employee expected. I work in costumer service, so i understand completely on some of/ most of the mistakes that costumer service representatives make, but this was complete, and most utter, intentional disrespect!
